Definitions

  • the invention relates to a divisible container, in particular a bottle crate, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • plastic bottle crates are used for the transport of bottles from the beverage industry, which contain a capacity of 20 bottles.
  • these bottle crates mostly have through openings arranged in the side walls of the bottle crates, which limit horizontal carrying handles with the upper edges of the crate.
  • Such access openings are usually arranged in the narrow box side walls, so that the box can be gripped laterally with both hands.
  • the pivoting carrying handles act on locking elements, so that the box is locked into a structural unit by corresponding pivoting of the carrying handles or can be unlocked for separation into two box halves.
  • the pivotable handle is mounted within the box so that in the locked position the U-shaped handle is pivoted into a horizontal position, the handle fitting flush with the inside dimensions of the side wall of the box. The reason is that the carrying handles can then be gripped in one unit with the handle strips located above the through openings in the side walls of the box during the usual transport of the box. If the box is to be separated into its two box halves, the handles are pivoted upwards from their horizontal position in the plane formed by the upper box edge by 90 degrees, so that the handles are in a vertical position. In this position the unlocking is done and the two box halves can be carried comfortably by the handle.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a container or bottle crate that can be divided, in particular that can be divided into two box halves, that can be handled easily and reliably and is also of robust construction and easy to manufacture.
  • the above-mentioned philosophy is abandoned in that a clean separation between carrying the box as a structural unit and carrying the separated box halves is achieved.
  • the usual through openings in the side walls of the box are used, whereas for carrying the two box halves there are, without exception, sliding handles, with which the box halves can then be carried individually. If the consumer wants to separate a box in order to carry both box halves separately, he only needs to actuate the movable handles, for example to push them up, so that the unlocking of the two box halves takes place.
  • the joining of the two boxes halves is done in a simple manner in that the two box halves pressed laterally by the movable carrying handles and then moved the carrying handles, in particular pressed down, whereby the two box halves are locked together. If, in the case of the known construction, it is necessary to first instruct the consumer that he can only separate the box into the two halves of the box by having to separately pivot the carrying handles which have been swiveled down inside the box and are therefore virtually hidden, so that is this is no longer necessary according to the solution according to the invention, because the consumer only has to actuate the carrying handles which are specifically assigned to the box halves, in particular only has to grip and lift it for specific transport purposes.
  • both box halves are automatically unlocked when the two carrying handles are pulled upwards as intended. Since the handles are no longer pivotable, it is much easier to put the two box halves together using these handles to achieve the locking. Due to this mechanism, an automatic handling of the bottle crate during filling u. The like. Much easier to do. As a result of the elimination of the pivotable mounting of the handles, a much simplified mechanism also results, so that the box is easier to manufacture overall. Furthermore, the box according to the invention is characterized by its robust and easy-care structure.
  • the carrying handles are not only guided in a linearly displaceable manner, but in particular are unlocked and locked by a vertical sliding movement of the carrying handles, so that the two box halves can be unlocked by simply pulling up and the two box halves can be locked again by pressing down.
  • you can a separation of the two box halves can also be realized in a simple manner by means of a horizontal displacement movement by providing grip strips which extend over the longitudinal center plane of each box half and are relatively displaceable in the horizontal direction in order to couple or decouple the two box halves.
  • the carrying handles are mounted within the box in that the handle legs are displaceably arranged in hollow profiles or bushings in the compartment walls or in stiffening profiles of the side walls of the box.
  • the movement of the support bracket is limited in a simple manner by beads or knobs protruding into the guideway, which form a resistance at the end of the guideway. This ensures simple assembly, since the handles only have to be inserted into the guide bushes with greater force during initial assembly in order to reach the upper limit stop.
  • Unlocking and locking is carried out in a particularly simple manner by means of pins which are formed on the carrying handles and can be inserted into locking bushes in the opposite half of the box.
  • the pins or the locking bushes are provided with an inclined surface or a wedge surface, the two halves of the box are braced when the pins are inserted into the bushes. If the locking bushes are still provided on their contact surfaces with the locking bushes of the other half of the box with inclined surfaces, this results in a further centering of both box halves when locking. To prevent the box halves from being pulled off upwards or downwards, receiving shoulders are expediently provided below the locking bushes.
  • the pegs and bushings opposite each other in the two box halves are offset in terms of height so that the pegs do not interfere in the division level can be inserted into the sockets.
  • additional locking elements are formed on the opposite side wall end faces of the box halves in order to bring about a further centering or wedging of both box halves.
  • the locking elements are formed by an elongated locking rib and a recess cooperating therewith in the opposite side wall end faces, each box half having a locking rib on one side and a recess on the other side. If the locking ribs and the recesses are inclined, there is a bracing in the manner of a wedge effect when the box halves are braced by retracting the pins into the locking bushes.
  • the bottle crate shown in the figures which is preferably made of plastic by injection molding, comprises in the usual way handles provided on the box side walls, which are formed by through openings in the side walls, which form a transverse handle 1 with the upper box edge, which is shown in Fig. 1 is shown schematically in the longitudinal side wall.
  • the passage opening is designated 2 here.
  • the box is made up of two box halves 3 and 4, which can be plugged together along the division plane 5 running in the middle of the box, which is indicated schematically in FIG. 2.
  • the bottle crate shown in the figures is used to hold 20 bottles, each crate 3 and 4 can hold ten bottles.
  • Each box half is designed in the known manner with suitable partition walls which serve to hold the bottles inserted in the box halves.
  • each box half has a center handle, which is U-shaped.
  • the handle legs 8 of each bracket 6 and 7 are guided vertically displaceably in hollow profiles of the box between limit stops, formed in particular by protruding beads or knobs.
  • each bracket 6 and 7 is arranged in the corresponding box half in the longitudinal center plane, the hollow profile or the guide bushing 9 for the handle leg 8 in the illustrated embodiment is formed at the intersection of the compartment walls for the four external bottle receptacles.
  • the sockets 9 are here formed in one piece with the partition walls.
  • the support bracket can also be dimensioned longer, so that the bushings come to rest, for example, in the area of the narrow side wall and can be formed there in support profiles for the box side wall.
  • the mounting handle can be moved up and down in the direction of arrow F in accordance with FIG. 1.
  • an elongated locking pin 10a and 10b is formed on each of the two handle legs 8 of each support bracket 6 and 7.
  • the left peg 10a is arranged higher than the other peg 10b, and preferably by the amount of a pitch, which is in the form of the receptacles cooperating with the pegs of locking bushings 11 results, which will be described in more detail below.
  • FIG. 2 shows the locking and unlocking mechanism only with the aid of a handle leg 8.
  • two bushes 11a and 11b are arranged one above the other in the division plane 5, the bushing 11a serving as the actual locking bushing for the insertion of the opposite pin 10a of the bracket 6 in the other half of the box 4.
  • the lower bush 11b serves as a support shoulder, as will be described in the following.
  • Both bushings 11a and 11b are molded onto the compartment wall 18 of the box half 3.
  • the bushings 11a and 11b are arranged at a distance from one another, the distance between the two bushings being dimensioned in accordance with a bushing 11c formed on the other box side half 4 and also in the parting plane 5, in particular molded onto a compartment wall 18, which when the two box halves are plugged together in the gap between the bushings 11a and 11b is adjustable. If the two bottle crate halves 3 and 4 are brought together in the direction of arrow G, then the bushings 11a, 11b and 11c come vertically one above the other, namely butting in the order 11a, 11c and 11b.
  • a corresponding latching rib and recess is also provided on the other side of both box halves, but here the latching rib is formed on the other box half, that is to say box half 3, and correspondingly the recess is formed on the end face of box half 4.
  • the locking rib and groove do not extend obliquely, but are aligned with the course of the side wall of the box.
  • the locking rib 15 is also inserted into the recess 16 for centering the two halves of the crate. If both bottle crate halves 3 and 4 are to be locked together to form a crate unit, the carrying handles 6 and 7 are pressed downward, so that, according to FIG. 2, the locking lug 10a moves into the locking bushing 11a from above.
  • the locking lug 10a is expediently inclined from top to bottom and from the inside to the outside in accordance with a conical ramp, so that the two box halves 3 and 4 are pressed together when the pin 10a is inserted into the socket 11a.
  • the outer compartment wall 18 of the box half 4 located in the area of the dividing plane 5 is drawn inwards in accordance with the shape of the locking bush 11a, specifically at 17, so that the bushing 11a against the recess at 17 and thus against the recess due to the wedge-shaped design of the pin outer compartment wall 18 of the box half 4 is clamped. The same applies to the lower bush 11b.
  • the interlocking of the bushings 11a and 11b on the one hand and 11c between the bushings 11a and 11b on the other hand prevents the two bottle crate halves 3 and 4 from becoming detached upwards or downwards.
  • the engagement of the locking pin 10a in the socket 11a of the other half of the box prevents lateral pulling apart.
  • the engagement of the locking rib 15 in the locking recess 16 at both ends of the box halves ensures an exact centering of the two bottle box halves and stabilizes the bond by realizing an upward and downward stop between the two bottle box halves.
  • the handle 7 is also locked for locking 2, so that the opposite pin, not shown in FIG. 2, moves to the pin 10a in the locking bushing 11c arranged between the bushes 11a and 11b, whereby due to the wedge-like design of the pin, tensioning in the sense described above also takes place here.
  • Fig. 2 only one side of the two bottle crate halves 1 and 2 is shown, but the other end of the two bottle crate halves is designed analogously, but now the bushings 11a and 11b on the bottle crate half 4 and the bushing which engages in the gap between these bushings 11c is formed on the bottle crate half 3.
  • the design of the locking pins 10a and 10b on the bottle crate half 3 is reversed, in that the deeper pin 10b is arranged on the crate half 4 relative to the higher pin 10a shown in FIG. 2 and the other end, which is not visible in FIG. 2, is open Locking pin 10a located on the side of the bottle crate half 3 is formed higher, which the lower-lying locking pin 10b of the crate half 4 is opposite.
  • Each handle 6 and 7 thus has two locking pins which are offset in height from each other. As a result, the opposing locking pins cannot interfere with one another in their function when the support brackets 6 and 7 are being moved down and up for the purpose of locking or unlocking.
  • the bushings 11b located below serve primarily as support shoulders to prevent one of the two bottle crate halves from being lifted off or pulled downward.
  • Each carrying handle 6 and 7 can expediently be equipped with grip lamellae, in particular in the bearing area, that is to say thin, closely spaced webs in the manner of lamellae.
  • Each carrying handle 6 and 7 can expediently also be hollow, and expediently by blowing gas under pressure according to the so-called air mold method. This results in a substantial stabilization of the handle.
  • the locking mechanism can only concentrate on a unit that can be lifted up and down, for example the compartment walls themselves, which can be used as a unit in the bottle crate.
  • Another sliding movement for locking and unlocking the box halves can also be provided, for example a horizontal sliding movement of a handle.
  • the actual carrying of the box unit takes place via the through openings usually provided in the box side walls, corresponding to the through opening 2 in FIG. 1.
  • the two box halves are to be carried separately from one another, only the two carrying handles 6 and 7 need to be gripped and pulled up, so that the box halves are unlocked from each other and can be carried separately with the handles 6 and 7.
  • To join the two box halves into a box unit only the two box halves are brought together laterally and then the two handles 6 and 7 are pressed down, as a result of which both box halves are automatically locked to form a box unit.
