Description
- Es ist bekannt, Textilmaterial mit Pigmentfarbstoffen kontinuierlich nach dem Klotzverfahren zu färben. Pigmentfarbstoffe werden deshalb gern verwendet, weil sie ausgezeichnete Lichtechtheiten und eine gute Chemisch-Reinigungsbeständigkeit aufweisen. Da die Pigmente wasserunlöslich sind, müssen sie mit Hilfe geeigneter Bindemittel auf der Faser verankert werden. Nachteilig bei diesem Klotzverfahren ist die Tatsache, daß sich im Verlauf des Verfahrens steigende Mengen des Bindemittels auf den Walzen der Maschinenaggregate ablagern. Dies kann zur Faltenbildung der Gewebebahnen und damit zu streifigen und unegalen Färbungen führen. Die Färbeanlage muß dann angehalten werden und kann erst nach längerer Reinigung wieder angefahren werden. Ferner bedarf es bei kontinuierlichen Verfahren und damit auch beim Klotzverfahren größerer Metragen, um rentabel zu arbeiten. Dieses Verfahren ist damit wenig flexibel. Vorkonfektionierte Kleidungsstücke (Garments) können nach dem Klotzverfahren nicht gefärbt werden.
- Es stellte sich daher die Aufgabe, Textilmaterial nicht nach dem Klotzverfahren, sondern nach einem Ausziehverfahren mit Pigmentfarbstoffen zu färben. Diese Aufgabe wurde gelöst, indem das Textilmaterial mit einem kationischen Hilfsmittel vorbehandelt und anschließend mit einem Pigmentfarbstoff nach einem Ausziehverfahren gefärbt wird.
- Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zum Färben von Textilmaterial mit Pigmentfarbstoffen, wobei man
- 1. das Textilmaterial mit einem Polymer, das ganz oder teilweise aus monomeren Einheiten der Formel I
R¹, R² Wasserstoff; (C₁-C₂₂)Alkyl, das gegebenenfalls durch -CO-NH- oder -NH-CO- unterbrochen sein kann;
C₁-C₄-Hydroxyalkyl;
R³, R⁴ Wasserstoff oder Methyl;
Y⁻ ein einwertiges Anion oder ein einem einwertigen Anion äquivalenter Teil eines mehrwertigen Anions bedeuten, vorbehandelt und - 2. anschließend mit einem Pigmentfarbstoff in Gegenwart eines Egalisier- oder Dispergiermittels nach dem Ausziehverfahren färbt und gegebenenfalls
- 3. die Färbung in einer Flotte mit einem Pigment-Binder behandelt und anschließend fixiert.
- Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren eignet sich für alle natürlichen oder synthetischen Fasern, wie beispielsweise Baumwolle, Wolle, Seide, Polyester, Polyamid oder Viskose sowie für Mischungen von verschiedenen Fasern. Das Textilmaterial kann in verschiedenen Verarbeitszuständen vorliegen, beispielsweise als Fasern, Fäden, Garne, Flocke, Kammzug, Gewebe, Maschenware oder Strickware. Bevorzugt eignet sich das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren zum Färben von vorkonfektionierten Kleidungsstücken aus Baumwolle insbesondere für Jeans-Waren.
- Beim Färben von Baumwolle wird die Ware bevorzugt zunächst mit einem Netzmittel vorbehandelt. Hierfür kommen übliche anionische oder nichtionische Netzmittel in Mengen von ca. 2 bis 4 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Warengewicht, in Frage. Die Vorbehandlung wird bei etwa 20 bis 80 °C über 5 bis 20 Minuten durchgeführt. Die konkreten Verfahrensparameter hängen von der Qualität der Ware und von dem gewünschten Wirkungsgrad ab. Anstelle einer separaten Vorbehandlung kann man auch nichtionische Netzmittel in die Flotte geben, die das kationische Vorbehandlungsmittel enthält.
- Das zu färbende Textilmaterial - im Falle von Baumwolle das mit einem Netzmittel behandelte Material, wie oben beschrieben - wird im Ausziehverfahren mit einem kationischen Polymer der oben angegebenen Zusammensetzung vorbehandelt.
- Bei diesem Polymer können die Reste R¹ und R² einerseits und R³ und R⁴ andererseits gleich oder verschieden sein. Die Reste R¹, R², R³ und R⁴ können auch alle gleich sein und Wasserstoff oder Methyl bedeuten. Die für R¹ und R² stehenden Alkylreste und Hydroxyalkylreste können geradkettig oder verzweigt sein. Vorzugsweise stehen R¹ und R² für nicht unterbrochene Alkylreste mit 1 bis 10 C-Atomen, ganz besonders bevorzugt für nicht unterbrochene Alkylreste mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen.
- Beispiele für geeignete für R¹ und/oder R² stehende Alkylreste sind: n-Docosyl, n-Pentadecyl, n-Decyl, i-Octyl, i-Heptyl, n-Hexyl, i-Pentyl, vorzugsweise n-Butyl, i-Butyl, sec-Butyl, i-Propyl, n-Propyl, Ethyl und Methyl.
- Die Reste R¹ und R² sind vorzugsweise gleich und bedeuten dabei vorzugsweise beide Methyl.
- Vorzugsweise sind auch R³ und R⁴ gleich und bedeuten dabei vorzugsweise beide Wasserstoff.
- Ein einwertiges Anion für Y⁻ kann z.B. Nitrat, Hydrogensulfat, Benzolsulfonat, Fluorid, Chlorid, Bromid, Iodid, Acetat, Propionat oder ein anderer Rest einer Carbonsäure sein. Ein einem einwertigen Anion äquivalenter Teil eines mehrwertigen Anions kann z.B. 1/2-Äquivalent Sulfat oder 1/3-Äquivalent Phosphat sein. Vorzugsweise steht Y⁻ für ein Halogenanion, wie Bromid oder Iodid, insbesondere für Chlorid.
- Die Verbindungen der Formel I sind, ebenso wie davon abgeleitete Polymerisate, bekannt (vgl. z.B. Ottenbrite and Ryan, Cyclopolymerization of N,N-Dialkyldiallylammonium Halides, Ind. Eng. Chem. Prod. Res. Dev. Vol. 19, No. 4, (1980), 528-532). Es ist anzunehmen, daß sich bei der Homo-und Copolymerisation von Verbindungen der Formel I im Polymerisat hauptsächlich 5- oder 6-gliedrige ringförmige Wiederholungseinheiten der Formel II und III
bilden. Bei Copolymerisaten können die aus der Verbindung I sich ausbildenden Wiederholungseinheiten je nach eingesetzten Comonomeren auch andere Strukturen aufweisen. Beispielsweise können sich Wiederholungseinheiten der Formeln IV, V oder VI ausbilden, wenn bei einer Polymerisation neben Verbindungen der Formel I Schwefeldioxid eingesetzt wird. - Bei den in den Formeln II bis VI dargestellten Wiederholungseinheiten ist das zugehörige Anion Y⁻ jeweils weggelassen worden.
- Das zur Anwendung kommende Polymerisat enthält bis zu 100 Mol-%, insbesondere 15 bis 100 Mol-%, vorzugsweise 40 bis 100 Mol-%, und ganz besonders bevorzugt 80 bis 100 Mol-%, einer Verbindung der Formel I in einpolymerisierter Form.
- Ein Polymerisat mit 100 Mol-% einer Verbindung der Formel I in einpolymerisierter Form wird durch Polymerisation einer oder mehrerer Verbindungen der Formel I in an sich bekannter Weise hergestellt. Zur Herstellung von Polymerisaten, die weniger als 100 Mol-% einer Verbindung der Formel I in einpolymerisierter Form enthalten, werden eine oder mehrere Verbindungen der Formel I zusammen mit Schwefeldioxid und/oder mit einem oder mehreren anderen Comonomeren in an sich bekannter Weise copolymerisiert, wobei die Molverhältnisse in entsprechender Weise eingehalten werden. Geeignete Comonomere für eine derartige Copolymerisation sind z.B. Acrylamid, Methacrylamid,

N,N-Diethylaminobutylmethacrylamid. - Besonders bevorzugte Comonomere für die Herstellung der bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren zum Einsatz kommenden Polymerisate sind basische Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel VII

bedeuten. - Alle Alkylreste in den vorstehenden Formeln VII bis XI können geradkettig oder verzweigt sein und besitzen vorzugsweise 1 bis 4 C-Atome. Z⁻ kann eine der für Y⁻ angegebenen Bedeutungen besitzen und ist vorzugsweise mit Y⁻ identisch.
- X¹ und X² stehen vorzugsweise für -NH-.
- Vorzugsweise wird bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren ein Polymerisat eingesetzt, das herstellbar ist durch Polymerisation
- a) einer Diallylammonium-Komponente A der Formel I und
- b) einer Amid-Komponente B, die aus einer basischen Komponente B¹ der Formel VII und/oder einer Amid-Komponente B² der Formel VIII und/oder einer N-Vinylacylamid-Komponente B³ der Formel IX und/oder einer Ammonium-Komponente B⁴ der Formel X besteht und
- c) einer (Meth)Acrylester-Komponente C der Formel XI im Molverhältnis A : B : C = 1 : (0 bis 4,5) : (0 bis 0,5), vorzugsweise im Molverhältnis A : B : C = 1 : (0,002 bis 4,5) : (0 bis 0,5).
Die bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren zum Einsatz kommenden wasserlöslichen Polymerisate können auch vernetzt sein. Zur Herstellung derartiger wasserlöslicher vernetzter Polymerisate ist es zweckmäßig, ein Copolymerisat mit einer einpolymerisierten Komponente B¹ der Formel VII nach der Copolymerisation durch Umsetzung mit - d) einer polyfunktionellen Alkylierungskomponente D und
- e) einer Polyamin-Komponente E, die aus einer Polyamin-Komponente E¹ der Formel XII

t = eine so große Zahl, daß unter Berücksichtigung von v das Molgewicht der Polyamin-Komponente E¹ der Formel XII zwischen 1000 und 30000 liegt. - Bei der Herstellung von bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren bevorzugt einzusetzenden Polymerisaten kann die Diallylammonium-Komponente A aus einer Verbindung der Formel I oder aus mehreren Verbindungen der Formel I bestehen. Auch die anderen Komponenten B, B¹, B², B³, B⁴, C, D, E¹ und E² können jeweils aus einer Verbindung oder aus mehreren Verbindungen bestehen. Die Amid-Komponente B kann aus einer Amid-Komponente B¹ oder aus einer Amid-Komponente B² oder aus einer N-Vinylacylamid-Komponente B³ oder aus einer Ammonium-Komponente B⁴ bestehen. Die Amid-Komponente B kann aber auch z.B. aus zwei Einzelkomponenten (z.B. B¹ + B², B¹ + B³, B² + B³ oder B³ + B⁴) oder z.B. aus drei Einzelkomponenten (z.B. B¹ + B² + B³ oder B¹ + B³ + B⁴) bestehen. Die Amid-Komponente B kann aber auch alle vier Einzelkomponenten (B¹ + B² + B³ + B⁴) enthalten. In allen genannten Fällen können die Einzelkomponenten B¹, B², B³, B⁴ ihrerseits aus einer oder mehreren Einzelverbindungen der angegebenen Formeln bestehen.
- In der Formel VII für die basische Komponente B¹ bedeutet X vorzugsweise -NH- und n vorzugsweise die Zahl 0 und m vorzugsweie eine der Zahlen 2, 3 oder 4. R⁵ und R⁶ können gleich oder verschieden sein und bedeuten vorzugsweise (C₁-C₄)Alkyl. R⁷ und R⁸ können ebenfalls gleich oder verschieden sein. Beispiele für besonders bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel VII sind:
wobei in den Formeln VIIa bis VIId R⁵, R⁶ und m insbesondere die bevorzugten Bedeutungen besitzen. - In der Formel VIII für die Amid-Komponente B² bedeutet p vorzugsweise die Zahl 0 R⁹ und R¹⁰ einerseits sowie R¹¹ und R¹² andererseits können gleich oder verschieden sein. R⁹ und R¹⁰ bedeuten vorzugsweise Wasserstoff oder (C₁-C₄)Alkyl. Auch R¹¹ und R¹² können gleich oder verschieden sein. Beispiele für besonders bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel VIII sind:
wobei in den Formeln VIIIa bis VIIId R⁹ und R¹⁰ insbesondere die bevorzugten Bedeutungen besitzen. - In der Formel IX für die N-Vinylacylamid-Komponente B³ bedeutet R¹⁴ vorzugsweise (C₁-C₄)Alkyl. R¹³ bedeutet vorzugsweise Wasserstoff oder (C₁-C₄)Alkyl. R¹³ und R¹⁴ bedeuten vorzugsweise zusammen auch -(CH₂)₃-, -(CH₂)₄- oder -(CH₂)₅-. Beispiele für bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel IX sind N-Vinyl-2-pyrrolidon, N-Vinyl-2-piperidinon, N-Vinyl-ε-caprolactam.
- In der Formel X für die Ammonium-Komponente B⁴ bedeutet X² vorzugsweise -NH-. R¹⁵, R¹⁶ und R¹⁷ können gleich oder verschieden sein und bedeuten vorzugsweise (C₁-C₄)Alkyl, ganz besonders bevorzugt Methyl, r bedeutet vorzugsweise die Zahl 0 und q vorzugsweie eine der Zahlen 2, 3 oder 4.
- In der Formel XI für die (Meth)Acrylester-Komponente C bedeutet R²¹ in der Regel (C₁-C₈)Alkyl, vorzugsweise (C₁-C₄)Alkyl. Bei R²⁰ = Wasserstoff handelt es sich bei den Verbindungen der Formel VI um Acrylester, bei R²⁰ = Methyl um Methacrylester.
- Die polyfunktionelle Alkylierungskomponente D besitzt z.B. die Formel XIV
worin x die Zahl 0, 1, 2 oder 3, vorzugsweise 0, ist und A, A¹ und A² gleiche oder verschiedene Reste der Formel -CH₂A³ oder einen Epoxidrest (Oxiranrest) der Formel XVI oder XVII
bedeuten. A³ ist ein als Anion abspaltbarer Substituent, insbesondere Chlorid, Bromid oder Iodid, oder eine als Anion abspaltbare Gruppe, wie z.B. Hydroxyl, ein Sulfatorest, ein Phosphatorest und Z steht für eine direkte Bindung oder für einen (x+2)-valenten organischen Rest. Z kann ein aliphatischer, aromatischer oder araliphatischer Rest sein, wobei aliphatische und araliphatische Reste auch Ketogruppen -CO- oder Heteroatome, wie -O- oder -S-, oder Heteroatomgruppierungen, wie -SO-, -SO₂-, -NH-, -N(CH₃)-enthalten können. Für Z ist in Übereinstimmung mit der bevorzugten Bedeutung von x = 0 ein zweiwertiger Rest bevorzugt, so daß als polyfunktionelle Alkylierungskomponente D eine bifunktionelle Alkylierungskomponente bevorzugt ist. Besonders bevorzugte bifunktionelle Alkylierungsmittel entsprechen der Formel XVIII

worin Z eine direkte Bindung, einen Phenylenrest, insbesondere einen 1,4-Phenylenrest, oder einen Rest der Formel -(CH₂)y- oder -(CH₂)k-G-(CH₂)l- darstellt, wobei y eine Zahl von 1 bis 6, k und l Zahlen von 1 bis 6 und G -O-, -S-, -SO-, SO₂-, -NH-, -N(CH₃)-, -CO-, -CHOH- oder Phenylen, insbesondere 1,4-Phenylen, bedeutet. Vorzugsweise sind k und l gleich und bedeuten vorzugsweise 1 oder 2, insbesondere 1. - Beispiele für bevorzugte bifunktionelle Alkylierungsmittel der Formel XVII sind. Epichlorhydrin (= Chlormethyloxiran), Epibromhydrin, 1,3-Dichloro-propan-2-ol, 2,2′-Dichloro-diethylether, 2,2-Dichloro-diethylamin, 2,2′-Dichloro-diethylsulfid, 2,2′-Dichloro-diethylsulfoxid, 2,2′-Dichloro-diethylsulfon, 2,2′-Bis-(sulfato)-ethylether, 2,2′-Bis(phenylsulfonyloxy)-ethylether, 2,2′-Bis-(p-tolylsulfonyloxy)-ethylether, Di-epoxy-butan, Di-epoxy-2-methylbutan, Bis-glycidylamin (= Bis-(2,3-epoxy-propyl)-amin), 1,2- oder 1,4-Bis-(epoxyethyl)-benzol, 1,2 oder 1,4-Bis-(2,3-epoxy-propyl)-benzol, 1,2- oder 1,4-Bis-(chlormethyl)-benzol.
- Die Polyamin-Komponente E kann aus einer Komponente E¹ oder E² oder aus den beiden Komponenten E¹ und R² bestehen.
- In der Formel XII der Polyaminkomponente E¹ bedeutet s vorzugsweise die Zahl 2. In diesem Fall sind bevorzugte geeignete Vertreter der Polyamin-Komponente E¹ der Formel XII handelsübliche Polyethylenimine mit einem Molekulargewicht zwischen 2000 und 27000 kmol/kg, vorzugsweise zwischen 2000 und 20000 kmol/kg, besonders bevorzugt zwischen 2000 und 5000 kmol/kg. Derartige Polyethylenimine sind handelsüblich. Sie werden durch Polymerisation von Ethylenimin hergestellt und enthalten etwa 50 bis 600 Ethylenimineinheiten und üblicherweise primäre, sekundäre und tertiäre Stickstoffatome in einem zahlenmäßigen Verhältnis von etwa 1 : 2 : 1. Die verschiedenen Stickstoffatome sind im Molekül statistisch verteilt. Sie werden bei dem Verfahren zur Herstellung der vernetzten Copolymerisate vorzugsweise direkt in Form ihrer handelsüblichen wäßrigen Lösungen eingesetzt.
- In der Polyamin-Komponente E² der Formel XIII kann der für R²² stehende Alkylenrest verzweigt oder vorzugsweise geradkettig sein. Bei einem für R²² stehenden Phenylenrest handelt es sich vorzugsweise um einen 1,4- oder 1,2-Phenylenrest. Die Verbindungen der Formel XIII stellen Umsetzungsprodukte von Aminen der Formel XIX

H₂N-CH₂-CH₂-NH-CH₂-CH₂-NH-CH₂-CH₂-NH-CH₂-CH₂-NH₂. - Geeignete Dicarbonsäuren der Formel XX sind z.B. Oxalsäure, Malonsäure, Bernsteinsäure, Glutarsäure, Adipinsäure, Pimelinsäure, Korksäure, Azelainsäure, Sebacinsäure, Phthalsäure und Isophthalsäure.
- Bei einem bevorzugten Copolymerisat beträgt das Molverhältnis A : B : C = 1: (0,02 bis 2,5) : 0. Bei einem bevorzugten vernetzten Copolymerisat beträgt das Molverhältnis B¹ : E : D = 1 : (0,05 bis 10) : (0,002 bis 1), vorzugsweise 1 : (0,1 bis 5) : (0,01 bis 1).
- Die zur Herstellung der Polymerisate und Copolymerisate erforderlichen Ausgangskomponenten sind bekannt oder können nach Verfahren hergestellt werden, die für die jeweilige Substanzklasse bekannt sind.
- Die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäße verwendeten wasserlöslichen Polymerisate und Copolymerisate durch Polymerisation bzw. Copolymerisation, insbesondere durch Homopolymerisation der Diallyl-Komponente A bzw. Copolymerisation der Diallyl-Komponente A, der Amid-Komponente B und der (Meth)Acrylester-Komponente C erfolgt in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel. Geeignete Lösungsmittel sind Wasser im Gemisch mit einem wassermischbaren Lösungsmittel. Geeignete mit Wasser mischbare Lösungsmittel sind z.B. niedere Alkohole, wie z.B. Methanol, Ethanol, n-Propanol, i-Propanol, n-Butanol, tert.-Butanol, Glykole und Diole, wie z.B. Ethylenglykol, Propylenglykol, 1,3-Propandiol, 1,2-Propandiol, Di- und Polyglykole wie z.B. Diethylenglykol-mono-methyl-ether, Diethylenglykol-mono-ethyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-mono-methyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-mono-ethyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-mono-n-propyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-mono-n-butyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-di-methyl-ether, Ethylenglykol-di-ethyl-ether, Ketone, wie z.B. Aceton oder Methyl-ethyl-keton. Alkohole mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen sind bevorzugt.
- Die Homo- bzw. Copolymerisation kann auch in einem Gemisch verschiedener Lösungsmittel durchgeführt werden, vorzugsweise in einem Lösungsmittelgemisch, das geringe Mengen Wasser enthält. Falls z.B. die Diallylammonium-Komponente A in Form einer wäßrigen Lösung eingesetzt wird, ist normalerweise ein weiterer Wasserzusatz nicht erforderlich.
- Bevorzugt ist Wasser im Gemisch mit Alkoholen, insbesondere solchen mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen, und im Gemisch mit Diolen bzw. Glykolen.
- Vor Beginn der Homo- bzw. Copolymerisation ist es zweckmäßig, den pH-Wert auf Werte von 3 bis 8,5 einzustellen. Für diese pH-Werteinstellung wird in der Regel eine Säure, vorzugsweise eine organische Säure, insbeonsere Essigsäure, verwendet.
- Die Homo- bzw. Copolymerisation wird bei Temperaturen von 40 bis 100 °C, vorzugsweise 60 bis 90 °C, ganz besonders bevorzugt bei Temperaturen von 65 bis 85 °C, durchgeführt und in üblicher Weise, z.B. durch Zugabe geeigneter Initiatoren, gestartet. Geeignete Initiatoren sind radikalbildende Substanzen, wie z.B. Benzoylperoxid, tert.Butylhydroperoxid, Cumolperoxid, Methylethylketonperoxid, Laurylperoxid, tert.Butylperbenzoat, ditert.Butylperphthalat, Azodiisobutyronitril, 2,2′-Azobis-(2,4-dimethyl-valeronitril), 2-Phenyl-azo-2,4-dimethyl-4-methoxy-valeronitril, 2-Cyano-2-propyl-azoformamid, Azodiisobutyramid, Dimethyl-, Diethyl- oder Di-n-butylazobis-methyl-valerat, tert.Butyl-perneodecanoat, Di-isononanoyl-peroxid, tert.Amyl-perpivalat, Di-2-ethylhexyl-peroxydicarbonat, Dilauroylperoxid, Di-isotridecyl-peroxydicarbonat, tert.Butylperoxyisopropylpercarbonat. Vorzugsweise wird als Initiator 2,2′-Azobis-(2-amidino-propan)-dihydrochlorid, 2,2′-Azobis-(2-imidazol-2-yl-propan)-dihydrochlorid, 2,2′-Azobis-(2-carbamoyl-propan)-dihydrat oder 2,2′-Azobis-(2-methoxycarbonyl-propan) verwendet. Bezogen auf die Monomerenmenge der Komponenten A + B + C werden 0,01 bis 2 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,1 bis 1 Gew.-% Initiator angewandt. Es ist zweckmäßig, die Copolymerisation unter Ausschluß von Sauerstoff durchzuführen. Dies kann in an sich bekannter Weise durch Spülen bzw. Durchleiten eines Inertgases, wie z.B. Stickstoff, erfolgen. Die Komponenten A, B, C, die jeweils aus einer oder mehreren Einzelkomponenten bestehen können, werden in solchen Mengen eingesetzt, daß das fertige Polymerisat, vorzugsweise mindestens 40 Mol-% und ganz besonders bevorzugt mindestens 80 Mol-% Einheiten einer Verbindung der Formel I in einpolymerisierter Form enthält, wobei vorzugsweise das Molverhältnis A : B : C = 1 : (0 bis 4,5) : (0 bis 0,5), vorzugsweise 1 : (0,02 bis 2,5) : 0 beträgt.
- Die Homo- bzw. Copolymerisation ist nach ca. 30 min bis ca. 4 h, in vielen Fällen nach 30 min bis 2 1/2 h, beendet.
- Von den wasserlöslichen Copolymerisaten sind diejenigen bevorzugt, bei deren Herstellung eine Amid-Komponente B verwendet wird, die aus einer basischen Komponente B¹ der Formel IV besteht oder eine derartige basische Komponente B¹ enthält, insbesondere dann, wenn diese Copolymerisate nach der Copolymerisation noch einer Vernetzungsreaktion unterworfen worden sind. Als basische Komponente B¹ sind dabei die Verbindungen der Formeln IIIa bis IIId bevorzugt.
- Zur Durchführung der Vernetzungsreaktion wird die bei der Copolymerisation anfallende Lösung in Anwesenheit von Wasser mit einer polyfunktionellen Alkylierungskomponente D und vorzugsweise zusätzlich mit einer Polyamin-Komponente E umgesetzt. Die Polyamin-Komponente E kann dabei aus einer Polyamin-Komponente E¹ oder E² oder aus einem Gemisch dieser Komponenten bestehen. Falls bei der Vernetzung eine Polyamin-Komponente E zum Einsatz kommt, wird sie der wäßrigen Lösung des zu vernetzenden Copolymerisats vor der polyfunktionellen Alkylierungskomponente D zugegeben. Bezogen auf 1 mol der im unvernetzten Copolymerisat einpolymerisierten basischen Komponente B¹ beträgt das Molverhältnis B¹ : D : E bei der Vernetzungsreaktion 1 : (0,002 bis 2) : (0 bis 5), vorzugsweise 1 : (0,002 bis 1) : (0,05 bis 5), besonders bevorzugt 1 : (0,01 bis 1) : (0,1 bis 4,5). Die Vernetzung wird bei Temperaturen von 30 bis 90 °C, vorzugsweise von 40 bis 60 °C, durchgeführt und wird bereits nach wenigen Minuten, z.B. 5 bis 20 min, vorzugsweise 5 bis 10 min, durch Zugabe einer Mineralsäure, wie z.B. Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder Salpetersäure beendet. Dabei wird durch die Zugabe der Mineralsäure ein pH-Wert von 4 bis 7 eingestellt.
- Die bei der Herstellung anfallenden Lösungen des unvernetzten oder vernetzten Homo- bzw. Copolymerisats besitzen einen Wirkstoffgehalt von ca. 15 bis 55 Gew.-% und können direkt in dieser Form, vorzugsweise aber nach Verdünnung auf einen Wirkstoffgehalt von ca. 25 bis 35 Gew.-%, bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt werden. Häufig wird jedoch vor der Verwendung der pH-Wert auf Werte von 3 bis 8,5, vorzugsweise 7 bis 8, eingestellt. Für diese pH-Einstellung wird normalerweise eine starke Säure, wie z.B. Salzsäure, Schwefelsäure, Phosphorsäure oder Salpetersäure verwendet.
- Die bei der Herstellung anfallenden Lösungen der vernetzten oder unvernetzten Homo- bzw. Copolymerisate können in Wasser entweder echt, zumindest aber kolloidal, gelöst werden.
- Die Einsatzmengen an Polymer bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren betragen 0,5 bis 10 %, bezogen auf das Warengewicht, vorzugsweise 3 bis 8 %. Um den kationischen Charakter dieses Vorbehandlungsmittels zu erhalten, muß die Flotte sauer eingestellt werden, etwa auf einen pH-Wert von 3 bis 6. Vorzugsweise stellt man den pH-Wert der Flotte durch Zugabe von Essigsäure auf pH 5 ein. Die Vorbehandlung mit dem kationischen Polymer erfolgt während ca. 5 bis 20 Minuten bei 50 bis 80 °C.
- Nach dieser Vorbehandlung wird die Ware kalt gespült und in einem Ausziehverfahren mit einer Flotte gefärbt, die einen Pigmentfarbstoff und ein Egalisier- oder Dispergiermittel sowie gegebenenfalls ein Salz wie beispielsweise Kochsalz oder Glaubersalz enthält. Als Pigmentfarbstoffe kommen alle üblichen Pigmenttypen in Frage, wie beispielsweise Azo-, Phthalocyanin- oder Chinacridon-Pigment. Diese Pigmente werden als wäßrige Dispersionen mit einem Gehalt an Dispergiermitteln in den Handel gebracht und werden auch in dieser Handelsform in dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren eingesetzt. Die Menge an Pigmentfarbstoff kann so gewählt werden, daß man 0,1 bis 6 %ige Färbungen erreicht, in Einzelfällen, etwa bei der Verwendung von Leuchtpigmenten, erreicht man auch bis zu 15 %ige Färbungen (s. Beispiel 2).
- Neben Pigmentfarbstoff und gegebenenfalls Salz enthält die Färbeflotte in jedem Fall noch ein Egalisier- oder Dispergiermittel. Zu diesem Zweck kommen alle hierfür in der Färberei üblichen Produkte in Frage; genannt seien hier beispielsweise die Handelsprodukte Eganal® PS, Solidegal® GL oder Dispersogen® ASN. Diese Hilfsmittel, die eine Stippenbildung der Färbung verhindern, werden der Flotte in einer Menge von ca. 1 bis 8, vorzugsweise 3 bis 4 %, bezogen auf das Warengewicht, zugegeben.
- Die Applikation dieser Pigmentfärbeflotte auf das Textilmaterial erfolgt nach einem Ausziehverfahren auf den hierfür gebräuchlichen Aggregaten, wie beispielsweise Jet, Jigger, Trommelwaschmaschine oder Haspel. Die Färbedauer beträgt ungefähr 5 bis 20 Minuten und die Färbetemperatur liegt bei 30 bis 90, vorzugsweise bei 70 °C
- Nach Beendigung der Färbung kann der Färbeflotte zur Erhöhung der Ionenstärke ein Salz in Mengen von 1 bis 5 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 3 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Warengewicht, zugegeben werden. Man bewegt in diesem Fall die Ware anschließend noch etwa 10 Minuten lang in der Färbeflotte. Bevorzugt nimmt man Natriumchlorid, Natriumsulfat, Ammoniumsulfat, Ammoniumchlorid oder Alaun. Diese Salze verbessern die Affinität des Pigmentfarbstoffs zur Faser und erhöhen die Egalität. Nach Beendigung des Färbeprozesses wird die Ware kalt gespült und getrocknet.
- Um eine optimale Echtheit des Pigmentfarbstoffs auf der Faser zu erreichen, kann man im Anschluß an den Färbeprozess noch einen Pigmentbinder auf die Ware aufbringen. Hierfür eignen sich die üblichen Pigmentbinder, wie beispielsweise die Handelsprodukte Imperon®-Binder CFN oder Imperon®-Binder MTB. Die Applikation dieser Binder erfolgt nach üblichen Methoden ebenfalls in einem Ausziehverfahren während 5 bis 20, vorzugsweise 7 bis 15 Minuten bei 20 bis 60 °C, vorzugsweise bei 40 °C. Die Flotte wird mit Säure auf einen pH-Wert von 3 bis 6 eingestellt. Die Menge an Pigmentbinder beträgt ungefähr 1 bis 10 Gew.-%, bezogen auf das Warengewicht. Die Vernetzung des Binders erfolgt dann in einer abschließenden Heißluftbehandlung bei 100 bis 200 °C, vorzugsweise bei 140 bis 170 °C während 2 bis 10 Minuten, vorzugsweise 5 Minuten.
- Besondere Effekte können erzielt werden, wenn zwischen der eigentlichen Färbung und der Applikation des Binders die Ware mit einem Tensid, gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz von Soda, gewaschen wird. Die Waschzeit beträgt dabei etwa 5 bis 10 Minuten, die Temperatur liegt bei 40 bis 60 °C. Durch diese Zwischenwäsche erhält man sogenannte wash-out Effekte auf der Ware. Auch ohne diese Zwischenwäsche erhält man bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren, insbesondere bei vorkonfektionierter Ware, beispielsweise bei Jeans-Artikeln, sogenannte stone-wash Effekte. Diese Effekte lassen sich normalerweise nur in einem zeitaufwendigen zusätzlichen Verfahrensschritt, nämlich unter Einsatz von Steinen und weiteren Chemikalien erreichen, was sich aber nachteilig auf die Qualität der Baumwolle auswirkt. Daneben liegt der wesentlichste Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens darin, daß es jetzt möglich ist, auch die sehr flexibel arbeitenden Ausziehverfahren für die Färbung mit Pigmentfarbstoffen zu nehmen.
- Eine Baumwolle-Jeanshose wird in einer Industrie-Trommelwaschmaschine bei einem Flottenverhältnis von 1 : 30 während 10 Minuten bei 70 °C mit einer Flotte vorbehandelt, die
2 % eines modifizierten Fettsäureamids (Humectol® C)
enthält.
Die Hose wird hierdurch gut genetzt und gleichzeitig aviviert. Da das Netzmittel gleitende Eigenschaften hat, wird außerdem die mechanische Beanspruchung herabgesetzt. - Nach dieser Behandlung wird die Flotte abgelassen und gut kalt gespült.
Anschließend erfolgt auf frischem Bad während 10 Minuten eine Kationisierung bei 70 °C mit einer wäßrigen Flotte enthaltend
5 % des Copolymers nach Beispiel 5 der EP-A 277 580 und
2 % Essigsäure 60 %. - Nach einem kalten Spülprozess wird wiederum auf einem frischen Bad mit einer wäßrigen Flotte enthaltend
5 % Pigment-Violet 23 (C.I. 51319)
3 % Dispergiermittel (heterocyclische, stickstoffhaltige Verbindung oder oxethylierter höherer Alkohol)
bei 70 °C während 10 Minuten behandelt. Danach erfolgt ein Zusatz von
3 % Natriumchlorid oder Natriumsulfat. - Nach weiteren 10 Minuten wird der Färbeprozeß durch kaltes Spülen beendet.
- Die Hose zeigt nach dem Trocknen eine kräftige, etwas unruhige Anfärbung, die wie "stone"-gewaschen aussieht. Die Echtheiten ist mit denen von Indigo-Jeans vergleichbar.
- Eine Baumwolljacke (Flachgewebe) wird gemäß Beispiel 1 vorbehandelt und dann mit
15 % Imperon®-Leuchtorange GR
gefärbt.
Danach wird die Jacke zur Erzielung optimaler Echtheiten in einer Flotte behandelt, die
5 % Acrylatbinder (Imperon®-Binder CFN),
1 % Essigsäure 60 % sowie
3 % Dispergiermittel (Dimethylpyridin-Betain)
enthält. Die Behandlung wird 10 Minuten lang bei 40 °C durchgeführt. Danach wird ohne zu spülen geschleudert und 5 Minuten bei 150 °C mit Heißluft behandelt. Die Anwendung eines Weichmachers in das Behandlungsbad verbessert zusätzlich die Griffeigenschaften der Jacke. - Eine Jeans-Hose aus Bauwollstoff wird gemäß Beispiel 1 vorbehandelt und dann mit
5% Pigment-Blue 15 : 1 (C.I. 74160)
gefärbt.
Direkt daran anschließend wird in einer Flotte, die
1 g/l Tensid (Alkylphenylpolyglykolether) und
2 g/l Natriumcarbonat
enthält, während 10-15 Minuten bei 40 °C gewaschen und kalt gespült. - Nach der wie im Beispiel 2 beschriebenen Behandlung mit einem Acrylatbinder wird durch Trocknen bei höheren Temperaturen der Färbeprozeß beendet.
Es wird eine Färbung mit modischem "wash-out"-Effekt erhalten. - Ein Mischgewebe aus Viskose/Seide wird auf einer Jet-Düsenfärbemaschine im Flottenverhältnis 1 : 20, wie im Beispiel 1 beschrieben, vorgenetzt, gut kalt gespült und mit einer Flotte, enthaltend
5 % des Copolymers nach Beispiel 5 der EP-A 277 580
behandelt.
Anschließend wird auf frischem Bad mit
2 % Pigment-Orange 43 (C.I. 71105)
1 % Pigment-Yellow 83 (C.I. 21108)
gemäß Beispiel 1 gefärbt.
Zur Erzielung guter Gebrauchsechtheiten wird anschließend das Mischgewebe gemäß Beispiel 2 mit einem Acrylatbinder bei pH 5 fixiert. Es resultiert eine orange Färbung mit gleichzeitigem "Wash-out"-Effekt. - Ein gut vorbehandeltes Baumwollgewebe wird mit einer Flotte, die
50-100 g/l des Copolymers nach Beispiel 4 der EP-A 277 580 und
2 g/l Essigsäure 60 %
enthält, auf einem Färbefoulard mit einer Flottenaufnahme von 60-80 % kalt geklotzt und bei 80-120 °C getrocknet. Anschließend wird gemäß Beispiel 1 im Ausziehverfahren auf einer Haspelkufe mit Pigmentfarbstoffen überfärbt.
Claims (10)
- Verfahren zum Färben von Textilmaterial mit Pigmentfarbstoffen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man1. das Textilmaterial mit einem Polymer, das ganz oder teilweise aus monomeren Einheiten der Formel I
R¹, R² Wasserstoff; (C₁-C₂₂)Alkyl, das gegebenenfalls durch -CO-NH- oder -NH-CO- unterbrochen sein kann;
C₁-C₄-Hydroxyalkyl;
R³, R⁴ Wasserstoff oder Methyl;
Y⁻ ein einwertiges Anion oder ein einem einwertigen Anion äquivalenter Teil eines mehrwertigen Anions bedeuten, vorbehandelt und2. anschließend mit einem Pigmentfarbstoff in Gegenwart eines Egalisier- oder Dispergiermittels nach dem Ausziehverfahren färbt und gegebenenfalls3. die Färbung in einer Flotte mit einem Pigment-Binder behandelt und anschließend fixiert. - Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 und/oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Polymerisat verwendet wird, das aus monomeren Einheiten der Formel I besteht, worin R¹, R² (C₁-C₁₀)Alkyl, vorzugsweise (C₁-C₄)Alkyl bedeuten.
- Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Polymerisat verwendet wird, das monomere Einheiten der Formel I,
worin
R¹, R² Methyl
R³, R⁴ Wasserstoff und
Y⁻ ein Halogenanion, insbesondere Chlorid,
bedeuten, in einpolymerisierter Form enthält. - Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Polymerisat eingesetzt wird, herstellbar durch Copolymerisationa) einer Diallylammonium-Komponente A der Formel I undb) einer Amid-Komponente B, die aus einer basischen Komponente B¹ der Formel VIIc) einer (Meth)Acrylester-Komponente C der Formel XId) einer polyfunktionellen Alkylierungskomponente D unde) einer Polyamin-Komponente E, die aus einer Polyamin-Komponente E¹ der Formel XII
HOOC-R²²-CO-NH-(CH₂)u-NH-[-(CH₂)u-NH-]w-R²³ (XIII)
besteht,
im Molverhältnis B¹ : E : D = 1 : (0 bis 5) : (0,002 bis 2), wobei
R⁵, R⁶, R²¹ = (C₁-C₁₀)Alkyl,
R⁷, R⁸, R¹¹, R¹², R¹⁸, R¹⁹, R²⁰ = Wasserstoff oder Methyl,
R⁹, R¹⁰, R¹³ = Wasserstoff oder (C₁-C₈)Alkyl,
R¹⁴, R¹⁵, R¹⁶, R¹⁷ = (C₁-C₈)Alkyl oder
R¹³ und R¹⁴ zusammen = -(CH₂)₃-, -(CH₂)₄- oder -(CH₂)₅,
R²² ein Alkylenrest mit 1 bis 8 C-Atomen oder Phenylen,
R²³ Wasserstoff oder den Rest -CO-R²²-COOH,
X¹, X² = -NH- oder -O-,
Z⁻ ein einwertiges Anion oder ein einem einwertigen Anion äquivalenter Teil eines mehrwertigen Anions,
T = -[-(CH₂)s-NH-]v-H
m, q = eine der Zahlen 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
n, p, r, w = eine der Zahlen 0, 1, 2 oder 3,
s, u = eine der Zahlen 2, 3, 4 oder 5,
v = die Zahl 0 oder eine so große Zahl, daß die Polyamin-Komponente E¹ unter Berücksichtigung von t eine Molgewicht von 1000 bis 30000 kmol/kg besitzt,
t = eine so große Zahl, daß unter Berücksichtigung von v das Molgewicht der Polyamin-Komponente E¹ der Formel VII zwischen 1000 und 30000 kmol/kg liegt. - Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Polymerisat verwendet wird, bei dem
R⁵, R⁶, R¹⁴, R¹⁵, R¹⁶ und/oder R¹⁷ = (C₁-C₄)Alkyl und/oder
R⁹, R¹⁰ und/oder R¹³ = Wasserstoff oder (C₁-C₄)Alkyl und/oder
n, p und/oder v = 0 bedeuten. - Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man ein Polymerisat verwendet, das 15 bis 100 Mol-%, bevorzugt 80 bis 100 Mol-% monomerer Einheit der Formel 1 enthält.
- Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man Baumwolle färbt, die mit einem Netzmittel vorbehandelt wurde.
- Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man vorkonfektionierte Kleidungsstücke färbt.
- Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Ware nach dem Färben und vor der Applikation des Pigmentbinders auswäscht.
- Verfahren nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man nach Beendigung der Färbung Salz zu der Färbeflotte gibt und verweilen läßt.
