Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roller shutter, the armor of which consists at least in part of box-shaped roller shutter slats made of extruded aluminum which are provided with longitudinal slots at the top and bottom and which are connected to one another by connecting rods made of plastic with a substantially C-shaped cross section, which can be displaced by hook-shaped ends the slots engage and hook behind the folds of a side wall of the roller shutter slats, the armor having successive ventilation openings at horizontal intervals, which are closed in the tank's drain end position.
  • roller shutters are known from DE-U-71 12 264.
  • both the roller shutter rods and the connecting rods provided with ventilation openings are made of plastic, as a result of which a very light roller shutter armor is obtained which offers little security against burglary and against shots in the event of attempted attacks.
  • a very light roller shutter armor is obtained which offers little security against burglary and against shots in the event of attempted attacks.
  • only a little light penetrates through the ventilation openings formed as narrow gaps in the connecting rods when the armor is raised into the ventilation position of the rods, which considerably limits the use of the roller shutter as a sunscreen during the day.
  • a more recent known proposal for a roller shutter therefore provides for the connecting rods to be made from a fine-mesh wire mesh or mesh, which is made of stainless steel, aluminum or galvanized metal, while the box-shaped roller shutter rods as in the aforementioned embodiment are made of plastic. This does improve the light transmission of the raised tank and also the ventilation; Theft security and bullet security still leave something to be desired.
  • Yet another known shutter uses box-shaped shutter bars made of extruded aluminum.
  • the connecting rods with ventilation openings are also made of aluminum, which also results in an excessively darkening when the shutter curtain is raised to the ventilation position.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to design a roller shutter curtain of the type mentioned in such a way that when the tank is raised in the ventilation position ensure adequate ventilation, but excessive darkening of the space behind it is avoided.
  • this object is achieved in that the material of the connecting rods is translucent and the ventilation openings in the inner side walls of the roller shutter rods are arranged such that a continuous ventilation path from the ventilation openings through the upper and / or lower, wider than the thickness of the connecting rods formed slots to the outside of the shutter curtain.
  • the inventive displacement of the ventilation openings into the box-shaped roller shutter bars means that the connecting bars are not weakened, and despite the armor weight determined by the metal roller shutter bars, they can be produced from a translucent plastic without risk of breakage, which ensures the desired passage of light. Adequate ventilation is nevertheless ensured since the ventilation openings arranged in the inner profile side walls of the box-shaped roller shutter slats via the upper and / or lower longitudinal slots of the roller shutter slats, the width of which is greater than the thickness of the connecting bars is open to the atmosphere.
  • the ventilation openings can even be of any size because, on the one hand, they practically do not impair the strength of the metal roller shutter bars and, on the other hand, the risk of insects and dust penetrating over the long ventilation path is considerably reduced.
  • the connecting rods advantageously consist of a polycarbonate, which can be colorless or colored.
  • a feature of the advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the connecting rods between the hook-shaped profile ends are provided on at least one side with a refractive surface structure. This is expediently formed by an obtuse-angled zigzag profile of the structured surface.
  • each box-shaped roller shutter bar is provided at one profile end with a protruding narrow profile tongue which, when the roller shutter is closed, overlaps in a corresponding profile recess on the other profile end of the side wall of the next roller shutter bar.
  • the box profile of the roller shutter slats can be symmetrical or asymmetrical, in the former case the box profile is divided by a transverse wall connecting the side walls into two equal-sized chambers, each of which has a longitudinal slot that is open upwards or downwards, into which, when the roller shutter is completely closed, the Retract the connecting rods halfway.
  • the inner side wall of each roller shutter bar is provided with two rows of ventilation openings, each leading to one of the two chambers.
  • each box-shaped roller shutter bar is then expediently provided with only one row of ventilation openings which lead to the long chamber.
  • the roller shutter armor 10 shown in Figures 1 to 4 consists of a lower part with alternating successive box-shaped roller shutter bars 12 and connecting bars 14 and an upper part with conventional profile bars 16 and is at the lower end by a hollow end bar 18 of substantially larger cross section than the aforementioned bars completed.
  • the upper end (not shown) of the tank is fixed in a conventional manner to an armored shaft within a roller shutter box and can be wound onto it by an electric motor or by hand to lift the tank into the ventilation position shown in FIG. 2 or to pull the tank up completely.
  • the bars 12, 14, 16 of the roller shutter curtain assume the position shown in FIG.
  • the box-shaped roller shutter slats 12 are made of extruded aluminum with an H-shaped profile 20 in the main and thereby have an outer side wall 22 and an inner side wall 24 parallel thereto, which are connected to one another in the middle of the profile by a transverse wall 26.
  • each box-shaped roller shutter bar 12 is divided into an upper chamber 28 and a lower chamber 30 of the same size, which are opened towards the profile ends via longitudinal slots 32, 34, which are formed by the outer side wall 22 and in each case by a fold 36 and 38 the inner side wall 24 are limited.
  • a profile tongue 40 is formed on the outer side wall 22 at the lower end of the profile which is about half as wide as the wall thickness there, which in the fully lowered position of the roller shutter curtain according to FIG. 1 into a correspondingly wide profile recess 42 at the other profile end of the outer side wall 22 of the next roller shutter bar 18 engages overlapping.
  • the connecting rods 14 are made of a translucent plastic, such as, in particular, a polycarbonate, which can be colorless or colored, and have an elongated, symmetrical C cross section with a straight central wall part 44 and adjoining hook-shaped ends 46 which pass through the slots 32, 34 engage in the hollow chambers 28, 30 of the adjoining roller shutter bars 12 and hook behind the folds 36 and 38 of the inner side wall 24, respectively, whereby the connecting bars 14 can be pivoted relative to the box-shaped roller shutter bars 12, which enables the roller shutter curtain to be wound up.
  • a translucent plastic such as, in particular, a polycarbonate, which can be colorless or colored
  • the longitudinal slots 32, 34 in the box-shaped roller shutter slats 12 are wider than the thickness of the connecting rods 14, so that the hollow chambers 28, 30 are in constant communication with the surrounding atmosphere in front of the roller shutter curtain. Furthermore, there are two rows of ventilation openings in the inner side wall 24, each of which leads to one of the two hollow chambers 28, 30 in the box-shaped roller shutter strips 12.
  • a continuous ventilation path is obtained from the outside of the roller shutter curtain to the inside thereof, which runs through one or the other hollow chamber 28 or 30 and is so long that the passage of dust or insects is largely avoided.
  • the displacement of the ventilation openings in the box-shaped roller shutter profiles means that the armor does not only provide effective sound insulation not only in the fully lowered state but also in the raised position in which daylight can pass through the translucent connecting rods.
  • the lower chamber 30 is kept so short that the engaging upper hook-shaped end 46 of the connecting rod 14 which adjoins the bottom can only be pivoted relative to the box-shaped roller shutter rod 12.
  • the inner side walls 24 'therein contain only one row of ventilation openings 48 which lead to the upper chamber 28' and via this and the upper longitudinal slots 32 'there is a ventilation path to the outside form the roller shutter curtain.
  • the one row of ventilation openings shown two or more such rows can of course also be provided, but all of them lead to the upper chamber 28 '.
  • the connecting rods 14 consist of a translucent plastic which can be completely transparent. In this case, since the sun's rays would enter the interior of the building uninterrupted, at least when the sun was low, it is advisable to ensure that the light refracts. As shown in FIG. 2, this is expediently obtained by providing either the outside of the straight wall part 44 of the hook-shaped connecting rods 14 or the inside thereof or both sides with a refractive surface structure, preferably in the form of an obtuse-angled zigzag profile 50.
