Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
  • a device is already known (DE-A-32 28 508) in which the individual fuel injection valves are received in individual receiving bores of a base body made of plastic, but in disadvantageously individually attached and electrically contacted.
  • the device according to the invention with the characterizing features of the independent claim has the advantage that all the fuel injection valves arranged in the base body can be electrically contacted simultaneously by means of a contact strip and can be held in the base body, so that this compact assembly enables simultaneous testing of the fuel injection valves and a subsequent joint Attachment to the intake pipe or the internal combustion engine itself.
  • individual electrical cables and plugs on the individual fuel injection valves and individual clamping claws for holding the individual fuel injection valves in the base body are thus eliminated.
  • the contact strip made of plastic and to provide it with an elastic snap-in connection which allows a connection to the base body.
  • a latching connection ensures a quick fixation of the base body and the contacting strip to one another, but this can also be released quickly and easily.
  • the latching connection prevents the device from being opened in the dirty engine compartment, so that required work can be carried out in the desired manner in a clean workplace.
  • FIG. 1 shows a device according to the invention shown in partial section
  • FIG. 2 shows a section along line 11-11 in FIG. 1
  • FIG. 3 shows a section along line 111 1 in FIG. 1
  • FIG. 4 a plan view of the device according to the invention
  • FIG. 5 a device cut along the line VV in FIG. 1 in the installed position on the internal combustion engine
  • FIG. 6 a device cut along the line VI-VI in FIG. 1 with a pressure regulator .
  • 1 denotes a base body which is advantageously designed as a plastic injection molded part.
  • a connecting piece 2 for a fuel supply line 3 which is connected to a fuel supply source (not shown) (for example a fuel pump which delivers fuel from a fuel tank).
  • a connection piece 4 is attached to the base body 1, preferably at the end facing away from the connection piece 2, into which a return flow line 5 opens, and which is connected to the suction side of the fuel pump or the fuel tank.
  • a holding bore 8 is provided, into which a pressure control valve 9 of a known type is inserted.
  • connection channel 10 from the fuel supply line 3 to the holding bore 8, from which an opening, not shown, leads into the interior of the pressure control valve 9.
  • the regulated fuel in the pressure regulating valve 9 flows through a valve stub 11 of the pressure regulating valve 9 into a connecting line 12 to the connecting stub 4.
  • the fuel supply line 3 and the return flow line 5 open into the connecting duct 10 downstream of all fuel injection valves.
  • stepped receiving bores 15 are formed for guiding fuel injection valves 14 for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, each of which surrounds a fuel injection valve 14 and are open on both sides.
  • four receiving bores 15 are formed in the base body 1, which are used to receive four fuel injection valves.
  • Each receiving bore 15 has in the vicinity of a bearing surface 16 of the base body 1 for guiding an injection mouthpiece 17 of the fuel injection valve 14, an orifice opening 18.
  • the holding bores 15 are formed, which are provided, for example, with two clamping openings 22.
  • the device also has a contact strip 24, which is also designed to be dimensionally stable, for example made of plastic, and on which connectors 25 are arranged, of which each connector 25 is assigned to a fuel injection valve 14 and is used to make electrical contact with it.
  • a blind hole-shaped plug opening 26 is provided in the contact strip 24 for each plug 25, which is open to a strip end face 27.
  • First electrically conductive contact elements 28, for example in the form of known flat plugs, are arranged in the plugs 25 and are connected to electrical conductors 29 arranged in the contact strip 24.
  • the electrical conductors 29 can e.g. formed in a band and cast in the contacting strip 24 made of plastic.
  • a connector 30 is also arranged on the contact strip, with which the individual electrical conductors 29 are connected and electrical control signals for the fuel injection valves can be input via the known type of electronic control device, not shown.
  • all the electrical conductors 29 run to the individual plugs 25 within the contact strip 24 and branch off there to the individual first electrically conductive contact elements 28.
  • strip holding flanges 32 are formed on the strip end face, in which clamping openings 33 are provided.
  • Two resiliently guided locking arms 34 which are preferably formed during the manufacture of the contacting strip, protrude from the end face 27 of the strip.
  • a fuel injection valve 14 is inserted into each mounting hole 15 of the base body 1, which comes into contact with a collar 36 on a shoulder of the mounting hole 15, not shown, or in the illustrated manner on the end face 20 of the base body 1, and its second, electrically configured as plug contacts protruding contact elements 37 protrude from the base body 1.
  • the fuel injection valve is provided in the vicinity of the injection opening 17 with a sealing ring 38 which, on the other hand, bears against the opening 18.
  • the fuel injection valve surrounds a further sealing ring 39, which seals the receiving bore 15 towards the collar 36.
  • the first electrically conductive contact elements 28 of the contact strip 24 slide over the second electrically conductive contact elements 37 of each fuel injection valve 14 and thereby simultaneously ensure the electrical contacting of the fuel injection valves.
  • a clamping force is exerted on the fuel injection valves in the axial direction by the contacting strip 24, for example by a clamping ring groove 40 of the contacting strip 24 engaging the collar 36 of the fuel injection valve and exerting a clamping force on this collar in the direction of the end face 20 of the base body 1 so that each fuel injector is fixed in position.
  • the locking arms 34 engage in locking openings 42 of the base body 1 and engage behind with a locking lug 43 a locking edge 44 of the base body 1 to form a base body 1 and contacting power 24 holding together locking connection.
  • a sealing ring 46 is arranged in a sealing groove 45 of the contacting strip 24 which is open towards the end face 27 of the bar and which in each case surrounds a fuel injection valve and, in the mounted state against the end face 20 of the base body 1, prevents dirt and moisture from the outside to the fuel injection valves arranged in the receiving bores 15 reached. Acting in the same way, a sealing ring could be provided, which surrounds all fuel injection valves at the same time.
  • the fuel supply line 3 and the return flow line 5 are each guided in the base body 1 in such a way that they are open to the individual receiving bores 15.
  • a sieve body 48 is placed on the fuel injection valve 14, one edge 49 of which radially abuts the wall of the receiving bore 15 and extends between the fuel supply line 3 and the return flow line 5, so that the receiving bore 15 is divided into two separate rooms.
  • the fuel supplied via the fuel supply line 3 reaches the inside of each fuel injection valve via openings and can be partially sprayed from there via the injection nozzle 17 and partly flow upwards and further openings emerge into the area of the receiving bore 15 which is touched by the return flow line 5 .
  • the separate return flow line 5 can be omitted.
  • the device assembled from the base body 1 and the contacting strip 24 and provided with the fuel injection valves 14 can now be arranged together in a test device in which the spray behavior of the individual fuel injection valves is checked. If all the fuel injection valves meet the specified guide values, then this finished device can be attached as a whole to the internal combustion engine or Intake pipe of the internal combustion engine can be attached depending on the given configurations.
  • the assembled device with the support surface 16 of the base body 1 is placed on a contact surface 50 of the internal combustion engine or the air intake pipe 51 and inserted through the mutually aligned clamping openings 22 and 33 of the holding flanges 21 and the strip holding flanges 32 screws 52 with which the device on the internal combustion engine or is screwed to the intake pipe 51 of the internal combustion engine and is thus fastened.
  • open sealing grooves 53 serve to receive sealing rings 54 and seal between the support surface 16 of the base body 1 and the contact surface 50 by surrounding the injection openings 55 formed in the intake pipe 51, into each of which an injection mouthpiece 17 of a fuel injector protrudes
  • Pressure control valve 9 can also be attached to the device from the outset, in order to mount it on the internal combustion engine at the same time as the device is attached.
