Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for opening textile fiber bales according to the preamble of the first claim.
  • a bale removal machine of the applicant's brand "UNIFLOC" is known in practice, in which the device according to the preamble of the first claim is the part which, when moving back and forth over the fiber bales provided, removes the fiber flakes from the uppermost layers of these bales and onwards a pneumatic conveying device, which also belongs to the bale removal machine.
  • a fiber deflecting means which is provided immediately above the fiber removal element, directs the flakes detached from the bale by the fiber removal element into the pneumatic conveying device.
  • the device for opening the fiber bales as described in the characterizing part of the first and the further claims, is supplemented.
  • This measure according to the invention not only prevents damage, but the disruptive elements can be removed from the device in a few simple steps and without a great loss of time.
  • a device 1 for opening textile fiber bales 2 comprises a fiber removal element 3 in the form of a rotatable shaft 5 equipped with toothed disks 4.
  • a housing 6 with the housing walls 7 and 8 encloses the fiber removal element 3 such that fiber flakes removed from the fiber bales 2, for example in the direction of arrow A in the pneumatic flake conveying channel 9 formed by the upper part of the housing 6 can be conveyed.
  • the guide plate 11 is shaped in accordance with a quarter-circle arc and, together with its plate edge 12 guided directly on and along the fiber removal element, forms a so-called fiber deflecting means.
  • the guide plate 11 is at both ends by means of two arms 13 and 14 on a stub shaft 15, respectively. attached to a shaft 15A and thereby pivotable from the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 1 to the position shown in broken lines.
  • the stub shaft 15 in turn is supported at one end in a carrier 16 fastened to the housing and at the other end in a bearing 17 which is fastened to the end wall 18 (FIG. 3) of the housing 6.
  • a toothed disk 19 and a crank lever 20 are connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the outer shaft stub 15B of the shaft 15A. Furthermore, the free end 21 of the crank lever 20 is pivotally connected to the piston 22 of a working cylinder 23.
  • the end of the cylinder opposite the piston is pivotably connected to a pivot lever 25 fastened in a self-centering elastic bearing 24.
  • an upper pawl 26 and a lower pawl 27 are pivotally attached to the end wall 18 on the periphery of the toothed disk 19.
  • a tension spring 28 or. 29 connected to the corresponding pawl and the end wall 18.
  • the ratchet teeth (not particularly marked in Fig. 2) 19 ratchet teeth forming recesses 30 respectively. 31 embedded.
  • the deflection trough 10 is in the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 1 and the toothed disks 4 rotate in the direction E. This causes flakes which have been detached promoted in the direction of arrow A in the feed channel 9. A good detachment of the fiber flakes from the Toothed lock washer 4 guaranteed by the sheet edge 12, as well as by the entire deflection trough 10.
  • the deflection trough swings away in the counterclockwise direction and causes the pawl tooth of the upper pawl 26 to get into one of the two depressions 30 , whereby on the one hand the pivoted-away position of the deflection trough 10 is maintained and on the other hand the pawl 26 actuates a limit switch 32 which causes the shaft 5 to stop rapidly.
  • the pawl 26 is lifted out of one of the recesses 30 again, so that the deflection trough is brought back into the operating position by means of the self-centering elastic bearing 24.
  • the working cylinder 23 is actuated by a control (not shown), so that the crank lever is pivoted in the direction G by a quarter turn.
  • the deflection trough 10 assumes the position shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, the shaft 5 rotates in the direction H and fiber flakes arrive in the direction B in the flake conveying channel 9.
  • the recesses 30 and. 31 have been offset by a quarter turn in the direction G. If in this case a aforementioned foreign body is picked up by the teeth of the toothed disk 4 and struck against the sheet edge 12A, the deflection trough is pushed away so that the disk 19 is rotated in the direction of rotation G and the tooth of the lower pawl 27 into one of the recesses 31 reaches into and holds the disc 19 in this position. Accordingly, the deflection trough 10 also remains in the pivoted-out position.
  • a limit switch 33 is actuated, which likewise causes the shaft 5 to stop rapidly.
  • the lower pawl 27 is lifted out of one of the depressions 31 again, so that the self-centering elastic bearing 24 can bring the deflection trough 10 back into the operating position.
  • a fiber deflecting pendulum 50 with two fiber deflecting edges 51 and. 52, which by means of two axes 53 respectively. 54 is pivotally mounted.
  • the axis 53 is rotatably mounted in a carrier 66 arranged in the housing 6A and the axis 54 in the end wall 18A.
  • the fiber deflecting edges 51 and 52 have a length which corresponds to the length of the fiber ablation element 3 and protrude in the immediate vicinity of the outside diameter of the toothed disk 4.
  • a toothed locking disk 55 is fixedly arranged.
  • This locking disk has tooth-forming recesses 56 and. 57 on.
  • a left pawl 58 and a right pawl 59 are each pivotally mounted in the end wall 18A and each rest with their pawl tooth (not particularly marked in FIG. 5) on the circumference of the locking disk 55.
  • a conveyor shaft 60 is pivotally mounted in such a way that it can be pivoted from the position shown in solid lines in FIG. 4 to the position indicated by dash-dotted lines in the same figure.
  • This conveyor shaft 60 is constructed in a manner analogous to the deflection trough 10 and is pivotably mounted and can be pivoted by means of a crank mechanism or working cylinder as described with FIGS. 1 to 3, except that the pivot axis on the cylinder is not arranged elastically but locally.
  • the fiber deflecting pendulum 50 is pivoted such that the pawl tooth of the left pawl 58 in one of the recesses 56 and thereby, on the one hand, holds the swiveled-out position of the fiber deflecting pendulum 50 and, on the other hand, actuates a limit switch 61 which ensures that the shaft 5 is brought to a rapid stop via a control (not shown).
  • the fiber deflecting pendulum swings in the other direction, so that the pawl tooth of the right pawl 59 gets into one of the recesses 57 and again the pivoted-out position holds the fiber deflecting pendulum 50 and also actuates a limit switch 62, which in the same way causes the shaft 5 to stop rapidly.
  • either the fiber deflecting pendulum has its own weight, which prevents such undesirable deflections
  • / or the locking disk 55 is made of two compression springs 63 and 63, respectively. 64 fixes that the fiber deflecting pendulum 50 is in a vertical position shown in FIG. 4 when the two compression springs are relieved.
  • the locking disk 55 is not connected to the compression springs, but a cam 65 is in the vertical position of the FaserumienkpendR.b 50 freely between the two relieved compression springs.
  • compression springs rubber buffers or other elastic elements can also be used.
  • the housing 6A has modified walls 7A and 8A.
