Description
Die Erfindung betrifft leicht verfügbare Wischtuch-Produkte, die für einen breiten Bereich industrieller und
Verbraucheranwendungen geeignet sind, einschließlich der Kraftfahrzeugtechnik, dem Nahrungsmittel- Dienstleistungsbereich und der Elektroindustrie, sowie für allgemeine
IQ Wischarbeiten im Haushalt. Solche Wischtücher müssen
billig sein und dennoch die Festigkeit, Absorptionsfähigkeit, stoffähnlichen Charakter und andere Eigenschaften,
die für solche Wischanwendungen erwünscht sind, aufweisen. Ungewebte Tücher haben im allgemeinen breite Aufnahme als
IQ ungewebte, leicht verfügbare Wischtücher sowohl für spezi-.
eile Anwendungen als auch für allgemeine Wischzwecke gefunden. Für viele solcher Anwendungen können ungewebte
Wischtücher herkömmliche Stoff- und Papierwischtücher übertreffen. Für manche Anwendungen ist es jedoch erwünscht,
bestimmte Eigenschaften ungewebter Wischtücher sogar noch weiter zu verbessern, wie etwa Beständigkeit gegenüber
Fussel- und Streifenbildung, wobei es allgemein erwünscht ist, die Wischtuch-Absorptionsfähigkeit und -festigkeit
zu steigern.
Die US-PS 4 307 143 beschreibt schmelzgeblasene Mikrofaser-Wischtücher,
die mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt und geprägt sind. Es wird dargelegt, daß solche
Wischtücher, verglichen mit herkömmlichen Wischtuch-Materialien verbesserte Absorptions- und Wischeigenschaften
besitzen. Die US-PS 4 298 649 beschreibt ein ungewebtes Mehrkomponenten-Wischtuch mit einer Schicht aus schmelzgeblasenen
Mikrofasern, die mit einem Schutzfilm .oder einer
fibrillieren Schaumschicht kombiniert sind. Dieses Wischtuch
zeigt geringe Metallspan-Aufnahmecharakteristika und
ist von besonderem Interesse in der Kraffcfahrzeug-Endbearbeitungsanwendung.
Diese Eigenschaft wird erhalten ohne einer wesentlichen Herabsetzung der Wischeigenschaften. Die US-PS 4 328 279
betrifft ein schmelzgeblasenes ungewebtes Wischtuch, das
mit bestimmten oberflächenaktiven Mitteln behandelt ist,

um einen geringen Natriumgehalt zu ergeben, was von besonderem Interesse bei Wischanwendungen in der Elektronik-Industrie
ist. Die US-PS 4 041 203 betrifft ungewebte Tücher und sterile Umhüllungsmaterialien, die hergestellt
werden durch Kombinieren von Schichten aus schmelzgeblasenen thermoplastischen Fasern mit einer oder mehreren
kontinuierlichen thermoplastischen Filamentschichten. Es wird beschrieben, daß solche Materialien wegen der
Absorptionsfähigkeit behandelt und für Wischanwendungen .,. verwendet werden können. Die US-PS 4 196 245 betrifft ein
Zusammengesetzes ungewebtes Tuch, das für verfügbare chirurgische Gegenstände geeignet ist, und welches eine
oder mehrere schmelzgeblasene Schichten, die locker an eine oder mehrere spinngebundene Schichten gebunden sind,
2Q aufweisen kann. Die Herstellung von Polyolefin-Mikrofasergespinsten
ist bekannt und beispielsweise beschrieben in Wendt, Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, Band 48, Nr.8,
Seiten .1342 bis 1346 (1956), sowie in den US-Patenten ■3 978 185,. 3. 795· 571 und 3 811 957. Die US-PS 3 978 185
beschreibtv daß Matten aus schmelzgeblasenen Polyolefinen
in Wischtüchern und Kohlenwasserstoff-Absorptionsmaterialien geeignet sind. Die Herstellung von im wesentlichen
kontinuierlichen Filamenten ist ebenso bekannt und erläuternde Verfahren sind in den US-Patenten 3 338 992,
3 341 394, 3 276 944, 3 502 538, 3 502 763, 3 509 009 und 3 542 615 sowie dem kanadischen Patent 893 714 beschrieben.
Hinsichtlich Verfahren zur Herstellung von Kombinationen aus schmelzgeblasenen thermoplastischen Fasern und kontinuierlichen
thermoplastischen Filament-Fasern kann ebenso auf die oben erwähnte US-PS 4 041 203 verwiesen werden.
Die US-PS 4 340 563 beschreibt ein alternatives Verfahren zur Herstellung kontinuierlicher thermoplastischer FiIament-Gespinste
bzw. Gewirke.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein verbessertes ungewebtes Wischtuch mit geringen Fusselbildungs- und verringer-,
ten Streifenbildungseigenschaften, das ebenso verbesserte
° Saugfähigkeit besitzt. Das Wischtuch ist eine Kombination / aus einer Schicht mit relativ hohem Grundgewicht aus
schmelzgeblasenen thermoplastischen Mikrofasern, die auf beiden Seiten hiervon eine relativ leichtgewichtige
Schicht aus kontinuierlichen thermoplastischen Filament-Fasern mit größerem Durchmesser besitzt. Sämtliche Komponenten
sind wegen der Benetzbarkeit mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt, und die Kombination ist vorzugsweise
durch eine musterförmige Anwendung von Wärme und Druck verbunden. Das resultierende Wischtuch ist stoff-

ähnlich, nachgiebig und für viele industrielle Anwendungen sowie Wischarbeiten für "allgemeine Zwecke geeignet.
Bevorzugte thermoplastische Materialien sind Polyolefine, und die einzelnen Komponenten werden vorzugsweise aus dem
gleichen Polymer oder aus Polymeren mit ähnlichen Schmelz-

temperaturen hergestellt. Bevorzugte oberflächenaktive
Mittel umfassen ionische und nichtionische oberflächenaktive Mittel, wie etwa Dioctylester von Natrium-Sulfobernsteinsäure
(Aerosol OT).

Die Erfindung wird im einzelnen nachstehend beschrieben.
Schmelzgeblasene Gespinste bzw. Gewirke, die für die erfindungsgemäßen
Wischtücher hergestellt werden, werden vorzugsweise gemäß dem in der US-PS 3 978 185 beschriebenen
Verfahren erzeugt, auf deren vollständigen Inhalt hierin 5
Bezug genommen wird und auf die hinsichtlich Einzelheiten des Schmelzblase-Verfahrens verwiesen werden kann. Obwohl
das nachstehende Beispiel unter Verwendung von Polypropylen ausgeführt wurde, ist die Erfindung selbstverständlich
nicht hierauf beschränkt, da auch andere thermoplastische Polymere, die sich für das Schmelzblasen eignen, einschließlich
Polyethylen, Polyester und Polyamide, genausogut eingesetzt werden können. Ebenso ist es in manchen Fällen erwünscht,
in das schmelzgeblasene Gespinst andere Materialien, wie etwa beispielsweise Cellulosefasern einzuarbeiten.
Solche Gespinste sind in der US-PS 4 100 324 beschrieben.
Besonders gute Ergebnisse werden erfindungsgemäß mit
Gespinsten erzielt, die mindestens etwa 30 Gew.-% Mikrcfasern,
vorzugsweise 50 Gew.-% Mikrofasern enthalten.
Die kontinuierlichen.Filament-Gespinste können gemäß den
oben genannten Patentschriften oder gemäß der US-PS 4 340 hergestellt werden. Geeignete Polymere umfassen die gleichen,
die für das Schmelzblaseverfahren geeignet sind. Bevorzugte Polymere, die für die Komponent-Schichten
verwendet werden,-sind die gleichen.
Bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform werden die spinngebundenen Schichten .einzeln musterförmig verbunden, bevor
sie mit der schmelzgeblasenen Schicht kombiniert werden. Beispielsweise kann ein Muster, wie im US-Gebrauchsmuster
239 566, das etwa 153 Bindungen/6,45 cm2 und etwa 25 % gebundene Oberfläche besitzt, sowie ein im US-Gebrauchsmuster
264 512 dargestelltes Muster verwendet werden.
Ein solches Vorverbinden erlaubt' die Verwendung einer
geringeren Gesamtbindungsflache beim Verbinden des Laminats.
Erfindungsgemäß weist das schmelzgeblasene Gespinst (ein-
schließlich zugegebenen Fasern) ein relativ hohes Grund-
2 gewicht im Bereich von etwa 17 bis 170 g/m , vorzugs-
weise im Bereich von etwa 34 bis 85 g/m^, auf.
Dazu gegensätzlich besitzen die einzelnen kontinuierlichen 5
Filament-Schichten ein relativ niedrigesGrundgewicht im Be-

reich von etwa 7 bis 34 g/m und vorzugsweise 10 bis 17 g/m
Für die einzelnen Komponentschichten kann jedes aus einer
breiten Anzahl von oberflächenaktiven Mitteln, einschließlich 10
ionische und nichtionische, verwendet werden. Diese umfassen ueispielsweise Dioctylester von Natrium-Sulfobernsteinsäure
(Aerosol OT), Isooctylphenylpolyethoxyethanol (Triton X-100 und X-102) und dergleichen.
Das Vereinigen der Komponent-Gespinste wird vorzugsweise ausgeführt durch musterförmige Anwendung von Wärme und
Druck. Die jeweiligen Verbjindungbedingungen hängen vom speziellen Material ab, im allgemeinen ist es jedoch bevorzugt,
ein Bindemuster zu verwenden, das etwa 10 bis Bindungen/6,45 cm (insbesondere bevorzugt 20 bis 110
Bindungen/6,45 cm ) ergibt, zur Bedeckung von etwa 5 bis
25 % (insbesondere bevorzugt 10 bis 15 %) der Oberfläche. Die Bindetemperatur für beispielsweise Polypropylen liegt
„ vorzugsweise im Bereich von etwa 82 bis 166°C (180 bis 2300F) bei einem Druck, vorzugsweise im Bereich von etwa
10 bis 28 bar (150 bis 400 pli). Zur Veranschaulichung von Binäemustern kann auf das US-Gebrauchsmuster 239 566
und die US-PS 3 855 046 Bezug genommen werden.
Unter Bezugnahme auf Figur 1 wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Wischtuchmaterials kurz
beschrieben. Andere Bildungs- und Kombinationsarbeitsweisen, die eingesetzt werden können, sind für den Fachmann
offensichtlich, so daß die Erfindung nicht auf die speziell beschriebene Arbeitsweise beschränkt ist.
Wie gezeigt, lagert das Schmelzblase-Werkzeug 10 Mikro-
"ja-
fasern 12 auf einer sich bewegenden Drahtform 14, die durch Walzen 16, von denen eine oder mehrere angetrieben werden
können, ab. Es wird ein lockeres Gebilde 18 erzeugt, zu welchen durch Sprühdüse 22 ein Benetzungsmittel 20 zugegeben
wird. Kontinuierliche Filament-Spinnvlies-Gespinste 24 und 26 von den Walzen 23 bzw. 25 werden über Drehwalzen
27 und 29- raiü dem Gebilde 18 am Walzenspalt 31 vereinigt.
Die Kombination wird durch Wärme und Druck am Musterkalander-Spalt
30 zwischen Musterwalze 33 und Amboßwalze 35 verbunden und Laminat 37 wird zur Hauptrolle 32 aufgewickelt,
die in einzelne Wischtücher, wie beispielsweise in Figur 2 gezeigt, aufgeschlitzt werden kann.
Figur 2 zeigt ein dreilagiges Laminat-Wischtuch 34, aus
Mirkofaser-Schicht 38 und kontinuierlichen Filament-Schichten
36 und 40 mit musterförmigen Verbindungsflächen 42.
Die nachfolgenden Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung,

Ein schmelzgeblasenes Mikrofaser-Gespinst mit einem Grundgewicht von 54 g/m wurde gemäß dem in der US-PS 3 978 185
beschriebenen Verfahren wie folgt hergestellt.
Polypropylenharz mit einem Schmelzindex von 145g, gemessen
bei 1J7 C, und derBezeichnung Exxon PD 3145 wurde verwendet.
Die Herstellung erfolgte mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 16 723-m2/Std. (20.000 yd2/Std.) mit einer Auffangung
in einem Abstand von 35,5 cm (14 in) auf einem Formgitter. Die schmelzgeblasenen Fasern wurden in ein Gespinst, das
im allgemeinen in der Figur 1 gezeigten Weise hergestellt wurde, integriert. Kontinuierliche Filament-Gespinste, hergestellt
aus Polypropylenharz mit einem Schmelzindex von 10-11g, gemessen bei 1770C mit der Bezeichnung Exxon PD
3045, hergestellt gemäß der US-PS 4 041 203, wurden jeweils
auf entgegengesetzten Seiten des schmelzgeblasenen Gespinsts aufgetragen und inusterförmig verbunden mit einem
Muster, entsprechend im allgemeinen dem in dem US-Gebrauchsmuster 264 512 gezeigten, bei einer Temperatur von
1430C (29O0F) und einem Druck von 15,2 bar (220 pli) mit
einem Bindemuster von 47 Bindungen/6,45 cm~, wobei jede
Bindung im Durchschnitt eine Einzelfläche von 0,018 cm (0,0C2S in ) besitzt. Die Kombination besaß ein Grundgewicht
von δθ g/m und die in der nachstehenden Tabelle gezeigten Eigenschaften-
,c Beispiel 1■wurde wiederholt, mit der Ausnahme, daß das
schmelzgeblasene Gespinst ebenso 50 Gew.-% Holzpulpe-Fasern
enthielt, die gemäß der in US-PS 4 100 324 beschriebenen
Weise zugesetzt wurden. Die Kombination besaß ein Grundge-

wicht von 110 g/m einschließlich 86 g/m an schmelzbeblasenern
Gespinst Holzpulpe und 12 g/m an jeweiligem Polypropylen-Spinnvlies (spinngebundenes Polypropylen).
Beispiel 1 wurde wiederholt, mit der Ausnahme, daß das schmelzgeblasene Gespinst ebenso 50 Gew.-% Polyester-Stapelfasern
enthielt, die gemäß der in der US-PS 4 100
beschriebenen Weise zugesetzt wurden. Die Kombination

besaß ein Grundgewich't von 110 g/m einschließlich 86 g/m an schmelzgeblasenem Gespinst/Stapelfasern und 12 g/m an
jeweiligem Polypropylen-Spinnvlies.
Die Materialien der Beispiele 1 bis 3 wurden, wie in der nachstehenden Tabelle gezeigt, geprüft, ebenso Materialien
entsprechend der US-PS 4 307 143 und 4 041 203, wobei hinsichtlich
der zuletzt genannten Patentschrift zwei Beispiele, d.h. ein Dreischioht-Laminat und ein Zweischicht-Laminat
, verwendet wurden.

Wie gezeigt, besitzt das erfindungsgernäße Wischtuch verbesserte
Charakteristik^ für Wischtücher für Öl und Wasser, insbesondere hinsichtlich der Merkmale der Absorptionsfähigkeit
und streifenfreies Wischen. Diese Ergeb-
nisse sind insbesondere vorteilhaft in Wischanwendungen des Nahrungsmittel- Dienstleistungsbereichs, beispielsweise
wo es oft sehr wichtig ist, eine streifenfreie, fleckenlose Stahloberfläche zurückzulassen. Weiterhin
sind die niedrigen Fussel-Charakteristika wichtig für Anwendungen im Elektronikbereich und andere Anwendungen,
bei Gt_nen eine staubfreie Umgebung als notwendig erachtet
wird. Andere Anwendungen für Wischtuch-Produkte mit hoher Qualität sind offensichtlich, wie etwa beispielsweise
in der Gesundheitsvorsorge als Handtücher für 15
Chirurgen und dergleichen.
Es ist nicht beabsichtigt, die vorliegende Erfindung auf
irgendeine Theorie einzuschränken, es wird jedoch angenomraen, daio die aussenseitigen kontinuierlichen Filament-
Gespinste mit geringem Gewicht eine Dochtwirkung vorsehen, die rasch Flüssigkeiten durch die stark saugfähige Mikrofaser-Schicht
zieht. Die Mikrofaserschicht hält dann die Flüssigkeit innerhalb seiner Zwischenräume übermäßig stark
_,_ fest und ist gegenüber Streifenbildung beständig.
Somit wird offensichtlich, daß erfindungsgemäß ein Wischmaterial vorgesehen wird, das den oben genannten Aufgaben,
Zielen und Vorteilen vollständig gerecht wird.

Claims (9)
1. Wischtuch, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß es besteht aus einem Laminat, enthaltend ein Gespinst
mit einem Grundgewicht im Bereich von etwa 17 bis

170 g/m , umfassend schmelzgebläsene, thermoplastische Mikrofasern mit einem durchschnittlichen Durchmesser im Bereich von bis zu etwa 10 pm, die mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt sind, sowie auf beiden Seiten des schmelzgeblasenen Gespinsts ein Gespinst mit einem Grundgewicht im Bereich von etwa 7 bis 34 g/m , umfassend im allgemeinen kontinuierliche thermoplastische Filamente mit einem durchschnittlichen Durchmesser von mehr als etwa 10 um, die mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt sind.
170 g/m , umfassend schmelzgebläsene, thermoplastische Mikrofasern mit einem durchschnittlichen Durchmesser im Bereich von bis zu etwa 10 pm, die mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt sind, sowie auf beiden Seiten des schmelzgeblasenen Gespinsts ein Gespinst mit einem Grundgewicht im Bereich von etwa 7 bis 34 g/m , umfassend im allgemeinen kontinuierliche thermoplastische Filamente mit einem durchschnittlichen Durchmesser von mehr als etwa 10 um, die mit einem oberflächenaktiven Mittel behandelt sind.
2. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekenn
zeichnet
daß das Verhältnis des Mikrofaser-Ge-
spinsts zu den kombinierten äußeren Gespinsten mindestens etwa 2 : 1 bis etwa 4:1, bezogen auf das Gewicht, beträgt
3- Wischtuch nach Anspruch 1 und/oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß das Mikrofaser- und
die äußeren Gespinste Polypropylen umfassen.
4. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß das oberflächenaktive Mittel für
die Behandlung des schraelzgeblasenen Gespinsts gewählt wird aus der Gruppe ionische und -nichtionische oberflächenaktive
Mittel, und daß das oberflächenaktive Mittel für das Gespinst aus kontinuierlichen Filamenten gewählt wird aus
der Gruppe ionische und nichtionische oberflächenaktive Mittel.
JLQ 5- Wischtuch nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß das Laminat durch eine niusterförmige
Anwendung von Wärme und Druck verbunden wird.
6. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 5, dadurch g e k e η η 2Q
zeichnet, daß das Bindungsmuster etwa 5 bis 25 % der Laminatoberfläche einnimmt und die Anzahl der Bindungen
im Bereich von etwa 10 bis 250 Bindungen/6,45 cm liegt.
7. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 1, dadurch g e k e η η zeichnet,
daß die Mikrofaser-Schicht bis zu etwa
70 % Holzpulpe enthält.
8. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Mikrofaser-Schicht bis zu
30 etwa 70 % Stapelfasern enthält.
9. Wischtuch nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die äußeren Schichten aus kontinuierlichen
Filamenten vor der Laminierung mit der Mikro-
35 faser-Schicht vorgebunden werden.
