Description
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue N-Acyl-biscarbamate,
Verfahren zu deren Herstellung, herbizide Mittel, enthaltend
diese Verbindungen und deren wirkungssteigernde Mischungen
mit anderen Wirkstoffen.
Substituierte Phenylcarbamate mit herbizider Wirkung sind
bereits bekannt. Als einer ihrer bekanntesten Vertreter gilt z.B. N-C^-Chlor-phenylJ-isopropyl-carbamat (CIPC),.
In der deutschen Offenlegungsschrift Nr. 1 567 151 werden
auch bereits herbizid wirksame Biscarbamate beschrieben,' von
denen wegen ihrer guten herbiziden Wirksamkeit und Selektivität das
carbamat in die Praxis eingeführt wurde. Auch dieses Carbamat genügt jedoch den gestellten Anforderungen nicht immer.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Entwicklung
herbizider Mittel, welche eine gute herbizide Wirkung gegenüber Unkräutern neben einer guten Selektivität

angegebenen allgemeinen Formel (I), Verfahren zu ihrer Herstellung und herbizide Mittel, enthaltend diese Verbindungen
oder deren wirkungssteigernde Mischungen mit anderen Wirkstoffen.

Unter den in der allgemeinen Formel (I) bezeichneten Resten sind insbesondere solche zu verstehen, bei denen
R, Wasserstoff, einen gegebenenfalls halogenierten Acylrest mit vorzugsweise bis zu 6 Kohlenstoffatomen,
einen Alkylrest mit bis zu 5 Kohlenstoffatomen,

Die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen besitzen überraschenderweise
eine größtenteils bessere herbizide Wirkung als Verbindungen analoger Konstitutionen und gleicher Wirkungsrichtung. Insbesondere
zeichnen sich von ihnen die' Monoacy!derivate durch eine überragende
herbizide Wirkung aus. Von diesen nehmen insbesondere Methyl- oder Äthyl-N-(>(Nt-acetyl-Nl-phenylcarbamoyloxy)-phenyl)-carbamat, bei
denen der N'-Phenylrest noch vorzugsweise durch Alkyl, Halogen,
Halogenalkyl und Alkoxy substituiert sein kann, eine Sonderstellung bezüglich ihrer Verträglichkeit für Betarüben und Umbelliferen ein.
Bei der Vielzahl der Vertreter der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen
erstreckt sich die Wirksamkeit sowohl auf die Anwendung im Vorauflauf (pre-emergence)-als auch im Nachauflauf(post-emergence)-Ver-

fahren.
Von den zahlreichen Unkräutern, die mit den erfindungsgemäßen
Verbindungen bekämpft werden können, sind z.B. zu- nennen: Stellaria media, Senecio vulgaris, Matricaria chamomilla,
Lamium amplexicaule, Galinsoga parviflora, Chenopodium album, Amarantus retroflexus, Setaria italica u.a.
Besondere Beachtung verdient die Tätsache, daß viele der
gekennzeichneten Verbindungen außerdem eine gesteigerte Verträglichkeit gegenüber Kulturplanzen besitzen, wie z.E.
gegenüber Beta-Rüben, Baumwolle, Erdnüsse, Reis, Mais, Getreidearten, Karotten und andere Gemüsearten. Eine Bekämpfung
von unerwünschten Pflanzen läßt sich daher in diesen Kulturen ohne eine Schädigung der Nutzpflanzen durchführen.
Die Aufwandmengen zur ausreichenden Unkrautbekämpfung in diesen Kulturen betragen etwa 0,5 - 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha.
Sofern eine totale Unkrautbekämpfung beabsichtigt ist, müssen die Wirkstoffe in höherer Aufwandmenge von wenigstens
10 kg Wirkstoff/ha verwendet werden.
Die Anwendung der Wirkstoffe kann entweder allein oder
als Mischung aus mehreren Wirkstoffen erfolgen. Gegebenenfalls können andere Pflanzenschutz- oder Schädlingsbekämpfungs
mittel, z.B. Fungizide, Nematizide oder andere Mittel,

je nach dem gewünschten Zweck, zugesetzt werden. Ein Zusatz von Düngemitteln ist z.B. ebenfalls möglich·
Sofern eine Verbreiterung des Wirkungsspektrums beabsichtigt
ist, können auch andere Herbizide zugesetzt werden, wobei allerdings die Selektivität naturgemäß
nicht immer erhalten bleibt.
Zum Beispiel eignen sich als herbizid wirksame'Mischungspartner Wirkstoffe aus der Gruppe der Carbamidsäure- und
Thiocarbamidsäureester, der substituierten Aniline und Anilide, Triazine, Amino-triazole, Diazine,ζ.B l-Phenyl-4-amino-5-chlorpyridazon(6),
Uracile, z.B. J-Cyclohexyl^jötrimethylenuracil,
aliphatische Carbonsäuren und Halogen- . carbonsäuren, halogenierte Benzoesäuren und Phenylessigsäuren,
Aryloxycarbonsäure, Hydrazide, Amide, Nitrile, Halogencarbonsäuren, z.B. 2,2-Dichlorpropionsäure oder deren Salze, Tetrafluorpropionsäure
oder deren Salze, Ester solcher Carbonsäuren, Harnstoffe, 2J3*6-Trichlorbenzyloxypropanol und rhodanhaltige
Mittel u.a.
Je nach Verwendungszweck können auch andere Stoffe zugesetzt werden, unter denen z.B. auch nichtphytotoxische
Zusätze zu verstehen sind, die mit Herbiziden eine Q

synergistische Wirkungssteigerung ergeben können, wie
Netzmittel, Emulgatoren, Lösungsmittel, ölige Zusätze u.a +

Die herbizide Wirkung dieser Mischungen ist höher als die Wirkung der' Einzelkomponenten bei gleicher Aufwandmenge,
so daß bei Verwendung dieser Mischungen je nach den eingesetzten Wirkstoffen bis zu 25 $ der Aufwandmenge und mehr
eingespart werden kann.
Das Mischungsverhältnis der Einzelkomponenten in den Mischungen kann in weiten Grenzen variieren und ist jeweils abhängig von
dem gewünschten Bekämpfungserfolg, von der Art der zu bekämpfenden
Unkräuter bzw. der nicht erwünschten Pflanzen, dem Alter der Unkräuter bzw. Pflanzen, den vorherrschenden Witterungsbedingungen
sowie der Anwendungstechnik. Es ist daher nicht möglich, von vornherein ein bestimmtes Mischungsverhältnis anzugeben,
welches allen Möglichkelten in gleicher Weise genügen würde, obwohl es sich andererseits ergeben hat, daß die gefun-

denen Effekte nicht streng von bestimmten Mischungsverhältnissen
abhängig sind. Durch entsprechende Vorversuche ist es indessen dem Fachmann leicht möglich, das jeweils
beste Mischungsverhältnis für den beabsichtigten Zweck festzustellen.
■ Im allgemeinen kann jedoch das Mischungsverhältnis für eine
Zweikomponenten-Mischung von Verbindungen der Formel (i)mit
Verbindungen der Formel (il)etwa 20 : 1 bis 1 : 20, vorzugsweise
1 : 10 bis 10 : 1, Gewichtsteile betragen.
Zweckmäßig werden die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe oder
deren Mischungen in Form von Zubereitungen, wie Pulvern,
Streumitteln, Granulaten, Lösungen, Emulsionen oder Suspensionen,
unter Zusatz von flüssigen und/oder festen Trägerstoffen bzw* Verdünnungsmitteln und gegebenenfalls von Netz-, Haft-, Emulgier-
und/oder Dispergierhilfsmitteln angewandt.
Geeignete flüssige Trägerstoffe sind z.B. Wasser, aliphatische und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Benzol, Toluol, Cyclohexanon,
Isophoron, weiterhin Mineralölfraktionen.
Als feste Trägerstoffe eignen sich Mineralerden, z.B. Tonsil, Silicagel, Talkum, Kaolin, Attaclay, Kalkstein, Kieselsäure
und pflanzliche Produkte, z.B. Mehle.

An oberflächenaktiven Stoffen sind zu nennen: z.B.
Calciumligninsulfonat, Polyoxyäthylen-octylphenoläther,
Naphthalinsulfonsäuren, Phenolsulfonsäuren, Formaldehydkondensate; Fettalkoholsulfate und fettsaure Alkali- und
Erdalkalisalze,
Der Anteil des bzw. der Wirkstoffe in den verschiedenen Zubereitungen kann in weiten Grenzen variieren. Beispielsweise
enthalten die Mittel etwa 20 bis 80 Gewichtsprozente Wirkstoffe, etwa 80 bis 20 Gewichtsprozente flüssige oder
feste Trägerstoffe sowie gegebenenfalls bis zu 20 Gewichtsprozente oberflächenaktive Stoffe.
Die Ausbringung der Mittel* kann in üblicher Weise erfolgen,
z.B. mit Wasser als Träger in Spritzbrühmengen von 100 1000 Liter/ha, Für die totale Unkrautbekämpfung können
auch ohne weiteres die teilweise üblichen Spritzbrühmengen von mehr als 1000 Liter/ha appliziert werden. Auch eine Anwendung
der Mittel im sogenannten "Ultra-low-Volume-Verfahren"
ist möglich. Ebenso ist die Anwendungsweise in Mikrogranulatform möglich.
Die bisher nicht bekannten Verbindungen der Formel (E)werden
beispielsweise hergestellt durch Erhitzen von Biscarbamaten mit Säureanhydriden unter Zusatz von konzentrierter Schwefelsäure
auf etwa V\0 - 1500 C.

Besitzt ein Bisearbamat zwei Amid-Wasserstoff-Atome,
so erhält man in der Regel Diacyl-biscarbamate. Monoacylderivate,
die noch einen Amid-Wasserstoff enthalten, kann man in der Weise erhalten, daß man z.B. 3~Nitrophenyl-N-alkyl-oder
N-arylcarbamate acyliert, die Nitrogruppe z.B.
durch katalytisehe Hydrierung zur Aminogruppe reduziert und diese anschließend mit Chlor-, Chlorthio- oder Chlordithioameinsensäurealkylestern
umsetzt.

C-Atom enthält - Wasserstoff darstellen. Die Bedeutung der übrigen Symbole ist im übrigen die
gleiche wie oben in der Formel (i) angegeben.
Die folgenden Beispiele erläutern die Herstellung der · erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen:
a) Methyl-N-acety 1-N- (3- (N* -ace ty 1-N * -n-buty lcarbamoy.loxy) -phenyl)-carbamat
26,6 g (0,1 Mol) Methyl-N-O-CN^n-butylcarbamoyloxy)-phenyl)-carbamat
werden in 100 ml Acetanhydrid unter Zusatz von 1 ml konzentrierter Schwefelsäure gelöst und die
Lösung JO Minuten unter Rückfluß gekocht. Nach Abkühlung
auf ca. 80 C. wird mit k g Natriumacetat versetzt und im Vakuum eingedampft Der Rückstand wird in einem Gemisch
aus Chloroform und Methylenchlorid gelöst und die Lösung unter Eiszugabe mit Wasser, verdünnter Natronlauge und
verdünnter Kochsalzlösung bis zur neutralen Reaktion gewaschen. Mit Magnesiumsulfat wird getrocknet und im Vakuum
eingedampft. Die Hauptmenge des Rückstandes löst sich in

400 ml Isopropyläther. Die Lösung wird mit Aktivkohle
aufgekocht, bei Raumtemperatur filtriert und im Vakuum
eingedampft.
Ausbeute: 24,2 g = 69 % der Theorie, nß ° : 1,5119.

abgetrennt, mit Wasser gewaschen, mit Magnesiumsulfat getrocknet und im Vakuum eingedampft. Der Rückstand kristallisiert
aus Isopropyläther.
Ausbeute: 15,4 g = 63 % der Theorie, Fp.: 84 - 86° C.

Es sind überwiegend Harze mit recht guter Löslichkeit
in den meisten organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie z.B Äthyläther, Isopropyläther, Cyclohexanon, isophoron,.
Aceton, Essigester, Methylenchlorid und Chloroform.
Die Verbindungen sind unlöslich in. Wasser. '
Die Ausgangsprodukte zur Durchführung der beschriebenen
Verfahren sind an sich bekannt oder können nach an sich
bekannten Verfahren hergestellt werden.
Im folgenden 'wird die Herstellung einiger Ausgangsprodukte
beschrieben:
3-Nitrophenyl-N-acetyl-N-n-butylcarbamat ·
23,8 g (0,1 Mol) 3-Nitrophenyl-N-n-butylcarbamat werden
analog Beispiel a) mit 100 ml Acetanhydrid / 1 ml konzentrier
ter Schwefelsäure umgesetzt.
Ausbeute: 22,9 g = 85 # der Theorie, r^20 - : 1,5278
Analog lassen sich herstellen:
3-Nitrophenyl-N-acetyl-N-phenylcarbamat vom Pp.: 9k - 95°C und
3-Nitrophenyl-N-äcetyl-N-(3l-methyl-
phenyp-carbamat vom Pp.: 130 -132 C.

^-Aminophenyl-N-acetyl-N-n-butylcarbamat
86 g (0,507 Mol) werden in 1 Liter Methanol mit 8 g
Raney-Nickel bei Raumtemperatur hydriert. Nach Filtration wird im Vakuum eingedampft, in Essigester gelöst unter Eiszugab'e
mit verdünnter Salzsäure extrahiert, die wässrige Phase mit Kaliumcarbonat-Lösung alkalisiert und das abgeschiedene
Reaktionsprodukt in Essigester aufgenommen. Mit Magnesiumsulfat
wird getrocknet und im Vakuum eingedampft.
Ausbeute: 42*4 S = 57 % der Theorie eines Harzes*
Analog lassen sich herstellen:
^-Aminöphenyl-N-acetyl-N-phenylcarbamat vom n~ ° : 1,57^6 und
3-Aminophenyl-N-acetyl-N~(3l~methylphenyl)-
carbamat vom nD : 1,5750.

Als weitere erfindungsgemäß zu verwendende Carbamate sei
außerdem z.B. auf die in der deutschen Offenlegungsschrift
Nr. 1.5β7·151 und der französischen Patentschrift Nr- 1.498.854
aufgeführten herbiziden Wirkstoffe verwiesen.
Die vorgenannten Carbamate entfalten zwar bereits allein eine herbizide Wirkung; die beschriebene Wirkungssteigerung tritt
jedoch erst in der erfindungsgemäßen Mischung ein.
Aus den folgenden Beispielen geht die herbizide Wirkung
der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen im Vergleich zu den bekannten
Mitteln hervor.
Bei spiel 1
Im Gewächshaus wurden die nachstehend aufgeführten Testpflanzen im Vor-(a) und im Nachauflaufverfahren (b) mit den erfindungsgemäß
zu verwendenden Mitteln in einer Dosierung von 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha behandelt. Die Mittel wurden als wäßrige Emulsionen mit
5OO Liter/ha gleichmäßig gespritzt. Das Vergleichsmittel kam als wäßrige Emulsion ebenfalls mit 5 kg Wirkstoff/ha in 5OO Liter/ha
zur Anwendung.
Nach 5 Wochen wurde bonitiert, wobei
O = nicht geschädigt und 4 = total vernichtet
bedeutet.

Beispiel 2
Im Gewächshaus wurden Kulturpflanzen und Unkräuter im Vorauf
lauf verfahren mit 1 kg Wirkstoff/ha behandelt. Die erfindungsgemäßen
Mittel und das Vergleichsmittel wurden als wäßrige Emulsionen mit 500 Liter/ha Wasser ausgebracht. Nach
den in der Tabelle wiedergegebenen Versuchsergebnissen bei einer Erfolgskontrolle >
Wochen nach der Behandlung wurden die Kulturpflanzen durch die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel nicht
oder nur unbedeutend geschädigt. Die Ungräser wurden aber im Gegensatz zum Vergleichsmittel, das ungenügende herbizide
Wirkung erzielte, durch die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel vernichtet
oder erheblich geschädigt.

Im Gewächshaus wurden die unten aufgeführten Pflanzen
mit den Verbindungen
I. Methyl-N-acetyl-N-C^N'-acetyl-N'-O'-methylphenyl)
carbamoyloxy)-phenyl)-carbamat
und .
II. Me thy1-N-(5-(N'-(5'-methylpheny1)-carbamoyloxy)-phenyl)-carbamat
in einer Dosierung von 1,0 kg/ha Wirksubstanz behandelt.
Darüber hinaus wurden weitere Pflanzen mit den in der Tabelle
angegebenen Mischungen aus I und II behandelt. Die Aufwandmenge betrug auch hier 1,0 kg/ha Gesamtwirksubstanz.
Die Mittel wurden als wäßrige Emulsionen in 5OO Liter/ha
Wasser gleichmäßig auf die Pflanzen gespritzt, lh Tage
nach der Behandlung zeigten die Mischungen bei den aufgeführten
Unkrautarten eine bessere Wirkung als die Einzelkomponenten. Die mit einer Aufwandmenge von 2kg/ha Wirksubstanz
bzw. Gesamtwirksubstanz behandelten Zuckerrüben zeigten auch bei der Mischung keine Schädigung.
