wobei 2 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatome die 2 Hydroxylgruppen trennen, mit entweder o-Borsäure, m-Borsäure oder
Bortrioxid.
Die als Polyadduktbildner verwendbaren Aminoalkyl-glykolmonoborsäureester
können z.B. von folgenden Aminoalkoholen abgeleitet sein:
•2-Amonoäthanol, 3-Aminopropanol, 1-Amino-2-propanol,
1-Aπlino-2-mβthyl-2-propanol, 1-Amino-2-butanol,
N-Propyl-2-aminoäthanol, N-(2-lthylhexyl)-3-aminopropanol,
N-ithyl-3-aminopropanol, N-t-Butyl-1-amino-2-propanol,
N-!fthyl-i -amino-2-Inethyl-2-propanol,
N-0ctadecyl-2-aminoäthanol, li-Isopropyl-1 -amino-2-propanol,

cis-4,5-Di(hydroxymethyl)cyelohexen, 2,2-Dimethyl-1,3-butandiol,
2-Athyl-1,3-hexandiol, 2-Methyl-2-äthyl-1,3-propandiol
und endo-cis'^^^-Diliydr.oxymethylbicyclo-/Γ2»2»ΐ7

Es wurde gefunden, daß ca. 2 bis 50 $, berechnei; auf
das Gewicht der Epoxy-Verbindung, der erfindungsgemäß
angewandten Verbindungen^ die Polyaddüktbildung bewirken
und somit zu hervorragenden Epoxyhar2niässen führen.
Es ist manchmal wünschenswert, der Harzmasse weitere Substanzen zuzusetzen, um ihr verschiedene wurischenswerte
Eigenschaften zu verleihen; Es könnte gefunden werden,
daß solche Zusätze di.e härtende Wirkung der erfIndunss^emäSen
Substanzen nicht beeintrachtigeii, Versteifende
Substanzen wie "Glas*, Mineral- oder'Metall- >
fasern erhöhen die Festigkeit und setzen die Schrumpfung
der

wie Glimmer, Asbest oder Eisenoxyd setzen den Einstandspreis der Produkte herab$ thixotrope Mittel
wie Bentonit und Kieselsäure dicken die flüssigen Epoxyzubereitungeh so ein, daß man sie/auf eine vertikale
Fläche aufbringen und dort härten kannj färbende
Substanzen nie fitandioscyd, Cadmiumpigmente
und organische Farbstoff β überdecken die Amberfärbung,
weiche im allgemeinen Epoxyharzmaseen aufweisen. Diese und ähnliche Substanzen kann man in bekannter
Weise mit Stoffen zur Herstellung von BoIy-Epoxyden
versetzen«
Die obigen Substanzen lassen sieh als Bolyaddukthildner
für alle bekannten reaktionsfähigen Epoxyde fer—
wenden. Diese Epoxyde oder Poly epoxy dreaktionspr odukte
sind Terbindungen oder Mischungen von Verbindungen mit durchschnittlich mehr als einer vieinalen Epoxy—
gruppe im Molekül« und zwar entweder in einer oder mehreren offenen Ketten oder aromatischen oder cyclischen
Strukturen· Wegen des Herstellungsverfahrens der reaktionsfähigen Epoxyde und der !Tatsache, daß sie
manchmal Mischungen von Substanzen mit verschiedenen
Strukturen sind und Gruppen enthalten, die sich nicht in 1,2*TEpo3ygruppen umsetzen lassen, ist die Anzahl
der Epoxygruppen im Molekül des Epoxyda nicht zwangsweise eine ganze Zahl, auf Jeden Fall muß sie jedoch
größer als 1 sein*

Es gibt 4 Hauptklapsen von reaktionsfähigen Epoxyverbindungen:
1 · G-lyoidyläther r Abkömmlinge von zweiwertigen Phenolen
wie Kondensationsprodukte von Bisphenol A und Epiehlorhydrin oder Abkömmlinge von mehrwertigen
Phenolen wie Phenol-IOrmaldehyd-Kondensationsprodukte
oder von Poly ölen wie Glykol und Glycerin.
2β Upoxydierte, ungesättigte Grlyceride und "Abietinsäure
derivate, wie epoxydiertes Sojabohnenöl, Leinsamenöl
und Tallöl*
3· Epo^ordierte Polyolefine wie eposydiertes Polybutadien
und Polyisopren. -
4. Epoxydierte Cyclopolyolefine wie epö3Eydiertes
Dicyclopentadien, Vj.nylcyolohexen oder andere Diels-Alder-Reaktionsprodukte·
Selbstverständlich sind die Substanzen nach der Erfindung
für alle diese Klassen von reaktionsfähigen Epoxyden als Polyadduktbildner geeignet,
Folgende Beispiele dienen zur Erläuterung der Erfindung:

2-U-Diäthylaminoäthoxy-)-4,4,6-trimethyl-1,3-dioxa-2-borinan,
ohlxlert es Bi phenyl, Antimonoxyd
und ein Epoxyharz in Form eines aronatischen Glycidyl-» äthers, und zwar das Kondensationsprodukt von Bisphenol A
und Epichlorhydrln, wurden in einer Menge von 10 Teile Borinan, 10 Teile Biphenyl und 5 Teile Antimonoxyd
auf 100 Teile Epoxyharz sorgfältig gemischt und das Ganze bei 1250C in 2 Stunden umgesetzt, Das erhaltene
Produkt war ein hartes, selbstlöschendes (self-extinguishing),
schwer entflammbares Harz mit einer Beständigkeit bis 820G.
Wurde die Zubereitung 18 Stunden bei 12O0O umgesetzt,
so hätte es eine Beständigkeit bis 1110C und eine
Shore-Härte von 90*
10 Gewichtsteile 2-(ß-Dimethylaminoäthoxy)-4-methyl-"
1,3-dioxa-2-borinan auf 100 Teile eines aromatischen
Glycidyläther-Eppxyharzes, und zwar Kondensationsprodukt
von Bisphenol JL und Epichlorhydrin, wurden gemischt und bei 1200C 15,75 Stunden umgesetzt. Man erhielt einen
klaren, festen, harten, nicht-entflammbaren Glessling, der bis 139°C beständig war und eine Shore-Härte von
92 besafl.
