sowie gegebenenfalls übliche Träger- und Zusatzstoffe.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue substituierte p-Cyanophenyl-carbamate der allgemeinen Formel
worin X Chlor oder Jod, R' einen Alkylrest mit bis zu ^Kohlenstoffatomen, Chloräthyl, unsubstituiertes
oder durch 2-Chloratome bzw. durch 1 Chloratom und'
die CFj-Gruppe substituiertes Phenyl und R" Wasserstoff oder Methyl bedeutet, sowie ein Schädlingsbekämpfungsmittel,
das eine Verbindung gemäß dieser Formel als Wirkstoff sowie gegebenenfalls übliche
Träger- und Zusatzstoffe enthält.
Solche Träger- und Zusatzstoffe sind z. B.: Lösungs-, Verdünnungs-, Dispergier-, Netz-, Haftmittel.
Die neuen Mittel eignen sich in besonderem Maße als Unkrautbekämpfungsmittel im totalen und selektiven
Einsatz, als Entblätterungsmittel, z. B. in Baumwollkulturen und ferner als Mittel zur Bekämpfung
von Mollusken.
Die Verbindungen der Formeln

zeichnen sich durch eine besonders günstige herbizide Wirkung aus.
Die neuen Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I können nach an sich bekannten Methoden hergestellt
werden, z. B. durch Umsetzen von entsprechenden Phenolen mit Alkylisocyanaten oder Dialkylcarbaminsäurechloriden
oder durch Umsetzen von entsprechend substituierten Aminophenylcarbamaten oder Chlorocarbonaten
mit Dialkyl- oder Alkylaminen etwa mit Methylamin gewonnen werden.
In Gegenwart eines inerten Lösungsmittels wie z. B. Äther oder Benzol.
Wie bereits oben erwähnt, können die neuen Mittel neben den neuen Wirkstoffen der allgemeinen Formel
I noch übliche Träger- und Zusatzstoffe enthalten. Es ergeben sich somit für die neuen Wirkstoffe zahlreiche
Anwendungsformen, auf die im folgenden näher eingegangen werden soll:
Die zur direkten Verwendung gelangenden, versprühbaren Lösungen enthalten z. B. Mineralölfraktionen
von hohem bis mittlerem, insbesondere über 10O0C liegendem Siedebereich, wie Dieselöl oder
Kerosen, ferner Kohlenteeröl oder öle pflanzlicher oder tierischer Herkunft, sowie Kohlenwasserstoffe,
wie alkylierte Naphthaline, Tetrahydronaphthalin, Xylolgemische, Cyclohexanole" sowie gegebenenfalls
■außerdem noch Ketone, chlorierte Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie Tetrachloräthan, Trichloräthylen oder Tri-
und Tetrachlorbenzole.
Zur Verwendung in wäßrigen Anwendungsformen werden Emulsionskonzentrate, Pasten oder netzbare
Spritzpulver, unter Zusatz von Wasser, herangezogen. Als Emulgiermittel oder Dispergiermittel kommen
nichtionogene Produkte in Betracht, z. B. Kondensationsprodukte von aliphatischen Alkoholen, Aminen
oder Carbonsäuren mit einem langkettigen Kohlenwasserstoffrest von etwa 10 bis 30 Kohlenstoffatomen
mit Äthylenoxyd, wie das Kondensationsprodukt von Octadecylalkohol und 25 bis 30 Mol Äthylenoxyd
oder dasjenige von Soyafettsäure und 30 Mol Äthylenoxyd oder dasjenige von technischem Oleylamin und
15 MoI Äthylenoxyd oder dasjenige von Dedecylmercaptan und 12 Mol Äthylenoxyd. Es können aber
auch Kondensationsprodukte von Äthylenoxyd mit hydroaromatischen polycyclischen Carbonsäuren
bzw. Aminen verwendet werden. Unter den anionaktiven Emulgiermitteln, die herangezogen werden
können, seien erwähnt: das Natriumsalz des Dodecylalkoholschwefelsäureesters, das Natriumsalz der
Dodecylbenzolsulfonsäure, das Kalium- oder Triäthanolaminsalz der ölsäure oder der Abietinsäure
oder von Mischungen dieser Säuren, oder das Natriumsalz einer Petroleumsulfonsäure. Als kationaktive
Dispergiermittel kommen quaternäre Ammonium- und Phosphoniumverbindungen, wie z. B. das
Cetylpyridiniumchlorid oder das Dioxyäthylbcnzyldodecylammoniumchlorid
in Betracht.
Kommen die neuen Mittel in Form von Stäubemitteln oder Streumitteln zur Verwendung, so können
sie als feste Trägerstoffe Talkum, Kaolin, Bentonit, Sand, Calciumcarbonat, Calciumphosphat, aber auch
Kohle, Korkmehl und Holzmehl und andere Materialien pflanzlicher Herkunft enthalten. Die verschiedenen
Präparate können in üblicher Weise einen Zusatz von Stoffen, welche die Verteilung, die Haftfestigkeit

Leim, Casein oder z. B.. Alginate. Sehr zweckmäßig ist auch die Verwendung der Präparate in granulierter
Form. Die neuen Verbindungen können als einzige Wirkstoffe in den Schädlingsbekämpfungsmitteln vorhanden
sein oder in Kombination mit anderen Insektiziden, Akariziden, Nematoziden, Molluskiziden, Herbiziden
oder Fungiziden. Die Verwendung solcher Präparate im Pflanzenschutz und in der Hygiene erfolgt
nach den üblichen Spritz-, Gieß-, Stäube- und Räucherverfahren.

1. 18,5 Teile 4-Cyan-2,6-dijodphenol und O, Γ Teil
Triäthylendiamin werden in 100 Volum teilen Dioxan gelöst. Dazu tropft man bei 10 bis 20° 4 Teile Methylisocyanat,
gelöst in 10 Volum teilen Dioxan, und rührt über Nacht bei 20 bis 25°. Das ausgeschiedene Reaktionsprodukt
wird filtriert und aus Aceton/Benzin umkristallisiert. Man erhält die Verbindung der Formel

Beispiel 2 Es wurde ein Spritzpulver der folgenden Zusammen-
Im Gewächshaus wurden Pflanzensamen in Töpfe ausgesät und zum Keimen gebracht. Nach etwa
12 Tagen, wenn die Pflanzen 2 bis 3 echte Blätter zeigten, wurden sie mit einer gemäß Beispiel 2 hergestellten
Spritzbrühe so behandelt, daß die in der Tabelle angegebene in Kilogramm pro Hektar berechnete
Menge von Wirkstoff versprüht wurde.
Die Töpfe wurden 4 Wochen lang bei optimalen Bedingungen von Licht, Feuchtigkeit und Wärme
gehalten, dann wurde der Versuch gemäß folgender Skala ausgewertet:
