DEUTSCHES
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine weitere Ausbildung der Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel nach Patent 1 031 571.
Gemäß dem Hauptpatent ist gefunden worden, daß gewisseEstervonThiolcarbamatenalsPflanzenvertilgungsmittel
und insbesondere als Mittel, die vor und nach dem Aufgehen der Pflanzen bzw. der Saat wirksam sind, mit
guten Erfolgen verwendet werden. Sie sind besonders wertvoll, weil sie als selektive oder nichtselektive Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel,
je nach der Menge ihrer Anwendung, benutzt werden.
Es ist in weiterer Ausbildung des Gegenstandes des Hauptpatentes insbesondere gefunden worden, daß wertvolle
herbicide Aktivität mit Verbindungen erzielt wird, welche der folgenden Formel entsprechen:

ist, wobei X oder Y ein Halogenatom darstellt, während das andere Symbol Wasserstoff ist und R2 und R3 je ein
Alkyl-, Alkenyl-, cycloaliphatisches oder Chloralkenylradikal bedeuten oder zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom
einen Piperidinring oder alkylsubstituierten Piperidinring oder ein Alkenylradikal darstellen, wenn R1 ein
niederes Chloralkylradikal ist, oder in der R1 und R2
je aus einem niederen Alkyl-, niederen Alkenyl-, Methoxyalkyl-
oder Halogenalkenylradikal bestehen, wenn R3 ein Methallylradikal ist.
Das Hauptpatent betrifft ebenfalls die Anwendung von Verbindungen der obengenannten Formel als Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel,
wobei R1 jedoch aus einem niederen Alkylradikal mit 1 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen oder einem
Alkenylradikal mit 2 bis 5 Kohlenstoffatomen besteht und R2 und R3 niedere Alkylradikale mit mindestens
3 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten.
Es ist ferner von den Erfindern vorgeschlagen worden, als Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel Verbindungen der obengenannten
Formel zu verwenden, in welcher das Radikal R1 aus Alkyl, Alkenyl, Aryl, substituiertem Aryl oder
Methoxyalkyl besteht und R2 und R3 Wasserstoff, Alkyl
(einschließlich Cycloalkyl), Alkenyl, Halogenalkyl, Halogenalkenyl, Alkoxyalkyl, Cyanalkyl, Phenyl, substituiertes
Phenyl oder Furfuryl bedeuten oder in welcher R2 und R3 in einem heterocyclischen Ring vereinigt sind,
der auch Stickstoff enthält, oder R2 und R3 Teile eines

Ringes mit zwei an ihn gebundenen Thiolcarbamatgruppen bilden.
Die vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine Verbesserung oder weitere Ausgestaltung des Gegenstandes des Hauptpatents
dar, da weitere Verbindungen mit guten Erfolgen zur Vernichtung von unerwünschtem Pflanzen wuchs
vorgeschlagen werden.
Die Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel gemäß der Erfindung zeichnen sich gegenüber den Mitteln gemäß dem Hauptpatent
durch erhöhte Wirksamkeit nach dem Aufgehen der Pflanzen bzw. der Saat insbesondere bei Hafer und
Sojabohnen aus.
Bei den Pflanzenvertilgungsmitteln gemäß der Erfindung können die Radikale R1, R2 und R3 der genannten
Verbindung beispielsweise durch folgendes dargestellt werden:

R1 ist ein Methallylradikal, während R2 und R3 aus
gleichen oder verschiedenen Alkylgruppen, Alkenylgruppen, cycloaliphatischen Gruppen, Chloralkenylgruppen
bestehen oder R2 und R3 zusammen eine Pentametliylengruppe
oder alkylsubstituierte Pentamethylengruppe darstellen, deren Endkohlenstoffatome an das
Stickstoffatom gebunden sind, wie bei den folgenden Verbindungen:

bei welchem X oder Y Halogen ist und das andere Symbol Wasserstoff bedeutet, während R2 und R3 die im Ab-Man
kann die Verbindungen zur Anwendung bei den Pflanzenvertilgungsmitteln der vorliegenden Erfindung
nach verschiedenen Verfahren herstellen, z. B. durch Umsetzen eines Älkalimercaptids mit dem geeigneten Carbamylchlorid,
durch Umsetzen eines organischen Chlorthiolformiats mit dem geeigneten Amin (wobei das Amin
selbst oder Alkali als hydroxyde Neutralisierungsmittel benutzt werden), durch Verwendung eines organischen
Chlorthiolformiats mit einem Aminhydrochlorid und einem Neutralisierungsmittel oder durch Umsetzen von
Carbonylsulfid mit einem Amin und einem Neutralisierungsmittel.
Das Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel kann auf den Boden in irgendeiner geeigneten Form aufgebracht werden. Beispielsweise
können die Verbindungen in einem organischen Lösungsmittel, wie Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Erdöllösungsmittel,
Aceton, Isopropanol oder Methanol, gelöst werden, und es kann ein Emulgiermittel zugesetzt werden, um
ein emulgierbares Konzentrat zu erzeugen, das für die Anwendung mit Wasser verdünnt wird. Die verschiedensten
Emulgiermittel sind geeignet, z. B. quaternäre Ammoniumsalze, sulfonierte Öle, Ester von mehrwertigen
Alkoholen und Äther. Die Wahl des Emulgiermittels hängt zum Teil von dem benutzten Lösungsmittel ab.
Aus wirtschaftlichen Gründen kann eine Mischung von verträglichen Emulgiermitteln benutzt werden. Die Emulgiermittel
können anionischer, kationischer, nichtionischer Art sein, oder es kann eine Mischung der Emulgiermittel
der ersten oder zweiten Art mit der dritten Art verwendet werden. Die Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel können auch mit
trockenen inerten Trägerstoffen, wie körniger Vermiculit oder Ton mit einer Korngröße entsprechend 30/60
Maschen (USStS), vermischt und auf die Bodenfiäche in körniger Form mit z. B. Düngerstreuern oder Sämaschinen
ausgestreut werden. Ferner können die Mittel mit feingemahlenem Ton oder Talkum vermischt werden und die
Gemische auf die Bodenoberfläche mit einem Zerstäubungsgerät aufgebracht werden.
Die Mittel gemäß der Erfindung sind in ausgedehntem Umfang als Herbicide untersucht worden und haben sich
insbesondere als wertvolle Herbicide vor dem Aufgehen der Saat bzw. der Pflanzen erwiesen. Vor dem Aufgehen
wirksame Herbicide werden gewöhnlich in der Weise benutzt, daß man einen schmalen Streifen des Herbicids
über die Mitte einer Kultursaatreihe zur Zeit des Säens oder vor dem Aufgehen der Saat aufbringt. Wenn das
Herbicid unschädlich für die ausgesäte Kultursaat ist, jedoch gegenüber Unkrautsamen oder -Sämlingen, die
hauptsächlich in Frage kommen, phytotoxisch ist, wachsen die Kulturpflanzen in einer fast unkrautfreien Umgebung.
Das vor dem Aufgehen der Saat wirksame Herbicid kann natürlich über das ganze Feld gestreut bzw. versprüht
oder verspritzt werden, aber gewöhnlich wird es nur in Form eines schmalen Streifens aufgebracht,
welcher die Unkräuter in der Kultursaatreihe vernichtet, während das übrige Unkraut durch verschiedene Kultiviermethoden
bekämpft wird.
Die Mittel gemäß der Erfindung sind auch wirksame Herbicide zum Bekämpfen von Pflanzen nach dem Aufgehen,
da sie nicht phytotoxisch gegenüber einer Anzahl von Kulturpflanzen sind, wenn die entsprechenden KuI-tursaaten
aufgegangen sind.
Die Herbicide gemäß der Erfindung sind wirksam gegenüber einer Anzahl von grasartigen und breitblättrigen
Unkrautarten; sie sind so gegenüber den üblichsten Unkrautarten wirksam, sie habe jedoch geringe Wirkung
ίο auf wertvolle Reihenkulturen, wie Mais und Bohnen. Das
Mittel kann lediglich auf die Oberfläche des Bodens aufgebracht werden, oder es kann auf den Boden aufgebracht
und einige Zentimeter in die Oberflächenschicht eingearbeitet werden. Im allgemeinen haben sich Anwendungsmengen
von etwa 0,6 bis 22 kg/ha tatsächlich behandelter Fläche als geeignet erwiesen. In einigen Fällen können so
hohe Mengen wie 50 kg/ha benutzt werden.
Feldversuche haben gezeigt, daß die Mittel gemäß der Erfindung zum Bekämpfen von Unkraut bei einer Anzahl
von wichtigen Kulturpflanzen, einschließlich von grünen Bohnen, Zuckerrüben, Speiserüben, Sojabohnen, Karotten,
Süßmais, Feldmais, Kohl, Baumwolle, Blumen, Ziersträuchern, Futterpflanzen, Blattgemüsen, wie Kopfsalat
und Sellerie, Knoblauch, Obstbäumen, Trauben, Erdnüssen, Erbsen, Kartoffeln, Erdbeeren, Tomaten und
Rasen, benutzt werden können.
Nachstehend werden beispielsweise einige Prüfergebnisse zur Erläuterung der Wirksamkeit der Verbindungen
wiedergegeben. Sämtliche Verbindungen wurden geprüft.
Die zu prüfende Verbindung wurde auf den Boden in Mengen von 10 bis 40 kg/0,9 ha aufgebracht. Die Prüfmethode
bestand darin, daß die Saaten in den Boden eingesät wurden und daß 24 Stunden später der Boden
mit der Prüfverbindung in der gewünschten Menge getränkt wurde. 7 bis 10 Tage nach dem Aussäen der Saaten
wurde das Versuchsfeldstück hinsichtlich der Keimung der Saaten und des Pflanzenwachstums untersucht. Die
Keimung (in der nachstehenden Tabelle mit »Ge« bezeichnet) wurde gemäß einer Skala von 0 bis 100 bestimmt (der
Wert 0 bedeutet keine Keimung, und der Wert 100 bedeutet eine 100°/0ige Keimung im Vergleich mit Kontrollaussaaten),
während das Wachstum (in der Tabelle mit »Gr« bezeichnet) gemäß einer Skala von 0 bis 10 bestimmt
wurde, wobei der letztgenannte Wert normales Wachstum bedeutet. Typische Versuchsergebnisse bei acht verschiedenen
herbiciden Verbindungen gemäß der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in der folgenden Tabelle zusammengefaßt:

gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an Verbindungen der Formel

Crotyl-, niederes Chloralkyl-, 3-Chlor-2-butenyl-, Propargyl- oder
-CH=C- C H,-Radikal
ist, wobei eins der Symbole X oder Y ein Halogenatom darstellt, während das andere Symbol Wasserstoff
ist, und R2 und R3 je ein Alkyl-, Alkenyl-, cycloaliphatisches
oder Chloralkenylradikal bedeuten oder

zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom einen Piperidinring oder alkylsubstituierten Piperidinring oder ein
Alkenylradikal darstellen, wenn R1 ein niederes Chloralkylradikal

2. Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel nach Anspruch 1, gekennzeichnet durch einen Gehalt an Methallyl-N,
N-diäthylthiolcarb amat, Methylmer captomethyl-Ν,Ν-diäthylthiolcarbamat,
Crotyl-N.N-diäthylthiolcarbamat,
Methoxymethyl-N-methallyl-N-äthylthiolcarbamat,
2-Chloräthyl-N-äthyl-N-cyclohexylthiolcarbamat,
3-Bromallyl - N,N - di -n-propylthiolcarbamat,
3-Chlor-2-butenyl-N,N-di-n-propylthiolcarbamat oder Propargyl-^N-diäthylthiolcarbamat.
3. Pflanzenvertilgungsmittel nach Anspruch 1 oder2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es ein organisches Lösungsmittel
und ein Emulgiermittel oder einen trockenen inerten Trägerstoff für den Wirkstoff enthält.
