Description

  • Verhinderung der Keimung bei Hackfrüchten u. dgl. Es ist bekannt, daß verschiedene Stoffe, wie z. B. Phenylurethan, die Atmung pflanzlicher Zellen zu hemmen vermögen (Warburg, Z. physiol. Ch. 69, 452 und 70, 413 [1gio], Dorner, ibid. 81, 1o2 [1gr2]). Hiermit ist auch eine Hemmung des Wachstums verbunden. Von Bedeutung ist diese Tatsache, wenn die Bildung und das Wachstum von Pflanzenkeimlingen, z. B. bei eingelagerten Kartoffeln, verhindert werden soll. Tatsächlich sind auch schon eine geringe Zahl von Präparaten bekanntgeworden, die die Keimung von eingelagertem Pflanzengut unterbinden bzw. hemmen sollen, wie z. B. a-Naphthylessigsäureester. Es wurde nun gefunden, daB Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel in der Rl und R2 Wasserstoff, R1, R2 und R3 aliphatische, alicyclische oder aromatische Radikale, wie -CH" -C,H5, -C,H;, -CH, bedeuten können, wobei R1, R2, R3 gleich oder verschieden sein können, sich als gut wirksam zur Verhinderung bzw. Hemmung der Keimung bei Hackfrüchten u. dgl. erwiesen haben, welche als Lebensmittel, Futtermittel oder auch für gewerbliche Zwecke verwendet werden. Als wirksame Verbindungen dieser Art seien beispielsweise angeführt N, Nl-Dimethyldithiocarbamidsäuremethylester, -äthylester, -propylester, -butylester, -amylester, N-Phenyldithiocarbamidsäureäthylester u. a.
  • Die Verwendung geschieht in der üblichen Weise, indem man die Verbindungen als trocknes Pulver allein oder zweckmäßiger mit einem Füllstoff, wie Kaolin, Schiefermehl u. a., mischt und die trockne Mischung über das zu behandelnde Gut ausstreut. Als Fäulnisschutzmittel können außerdem Zusätze von z. B. Formaldhyd beigemischt werden. Außerdem können auch andere Zusätze, z. B. insekticide Stoffe, Farbstoffe, als Abschreckmittel usw. zugefügt werden.
  • Beispiele z. 59 n-N-Dimethyldithiocarbamidsäuremethylester werden mit 95g Kaolin zu einem trocknen Pulver zusammengemischt. 5 bis Zog des Kaolins können auch durch eine braune Mineralfarbe, wie Ocker, ersetzt werden. 2. 15 g N-Phenyldithiocarbamidsäureäthylester werden mit 8o g Kieselgur und 5 g Dichlordiphenyltrichloräthan zu einem trocknen Pulver zusammengemischt.
  • 3. 5gN, Nl-Dimethyldithiocarbamidsäureisopropylester werden mit 5 g Paraformaldehyd und 9o g Kaolin zu einem trocknen Pulver zusammengemischt.

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH: Verwendung von Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel in der R1 und R2 Wasserstoff, R1, R2 und R3 aliphatische, alicyclische oder aromatische Radikale bedeuten, wobei R1, R2, R3 gleich oder verschieden sein können, gegebenenfalls im Gemisch mit Fäulnis verhindernden Mitteln, insekticiden Stoffen, Farbstoffen u. dgl., als keimungsverhinderndes Mittel bei Hackfrüchten u. dgl.
