Abstract

Eine Navigationsvorrichtung (1) ändert eine Genauigkeit einer Positionsbestimmung eines Empfängers (2) für Satellitennavigation in den folgenden Fällen auf eine höhere Genauigkeit: DOLLAR A Wenn sich das eigene Fahrzeug (73) einem Zielort (72) nähert, wenn das eigene Fahrzeug auf einer Straße (53 bis 61) fährt, die nicht in einer Karteninformation verzeichnet ist, wenn sich das eigene Fahrzeug (74) einer Kreuzung oder Verzweigung (77) nähert, an welcher die Straße innerhalb eines vorab bestimmten Abstands in einem engen Winkel verzweigt, wenn das eigene Fahrzeug (78) auf einer engen Straße fährt (79), wenn das eigene Fahrzeug (80) auf einer (81) von benachbarten parallelen Straßen (81, 82) fährt, wenn unabhängige Sensoren kalibriert werden, und bei anderen ähnlichen Gelegenheiten. In den anderen Fällen ändert die Navigationsvorrichtung die Genauigkeit der Positionsbestimmung durch den Empfänger auf eine niedrige Genauigkeit. Wenn der Empfänger dazu veranlasst wird, eine Positionsbestimmung mit niedriger Genauigkeit durchzuführen, wird die Energieversorgung für den Betrieb bzw. den Teil des Empfängers, der nur für die Bestimmung der Position mit hoher Genauigkeit benötigt wird, verhindert.
