Abstract

Un dispositivo de análisis basado en chip microfluídico se ha desarrollado para la medición de las propiedades físicas de un analito (en particular, sangre total o derivados de la sangre total). Las tecnologías se pueden aplicar para medir los tiempos de coagulación de derivados de la sangre o de la sangre total, determinar los efectos de fármacos anticoagulantes en la cinética de la coagulación, así como evaluar el efecto de los agentes de reversión anticoagulantes. Estas tecnologías pueden utilizarse adicionalmente para optimizar la dosificación de fármacos anticoagulantes y/o sus agentes de reversión. El análisis es independiente de la presencia de anticoagulante puesto que la coagulación se activa mediante la exposición de la muestra de sangre en el dispositivo a una superficie de vidrio (u otro material cargado negativamente tal como el silicio oxidado), que activa la vía intrínseca y puede acelerarse adicionalmente mediante la aplicación de flujo cortante a través de la superficie de los materiales activadores. La ausencia de agentes activadores químicos y un microambiente altamente controlado y reproducible produce un análisis de coagulación universal de diagnóstico inmediato.
