Abstract
本发明是揭示一种对一装置的方法及系统以快速决定是否数据要传送至此装置。若没有任何数据要送至此装置,该装置会回到省电模式以节省能量。本发明包括一次一个地组织及传送所有装置目的地辨识码。若消息清单搜寻显示没有任何消息要被传送至装置,该装置可继续任何其它需要服务的项目,或者,若无其它项目是待进行的,它可停止以节省能量直到下一个苏醒期间到达。若该搜寻回到前进指示,则当辨识器被发现时,计数的指示值可被用来决定该指示器至该消息的位置。
Description
技术领域
本发明是关于无线通讯的领域,更特定言之,本发明是关于无线通讯系统中无线装置功率资源的最佳化。
背景技术
携带式电子装置常会电池耗尽,传送至该装置的数据常是短的(例如,EMAIL、即时消息、数字更新、状态改变)。当装置寻找寄给它们的传输时,由装置所损耗的功率常超过接收此种传输所需的功率。而且,该装置一般仅偶尔具寄给它们的传输。仅管大多数装置仅偶尔具寄给它们的传输,虽然如此该装置必须在整个通知期间维持注意状态。此表示许多装置在整个通知期间损耗能量,即使在通常没有要给它们的数据的情况下。
故希望装置能够快速地决定该数据是否是要传送给它们的,及若否,则回到省电模式(sleep mode)以节省能量。
发明内容
本发明是关于最佳化无线装置中功率资源的方法及系统,本发明利用适合的消息清单以使得装置可快速地决定是否该清单含要传送给它们的消息,由此减少当搜寻消息时装置必须维持苏醒的时间量。

具体实施方式
本发明较佳具体实施例是参考图式的数字说明,其中类似数字表示类似组件。
最先参考图1,显示一个消息清单10。无线装置一般与网络同步以使该装置知道在预定期间苏醒及检查是否有这些装置的任何消息。为节省电池,无线装置较佳为不仅在预定期间之间休眠,亦要尽可能花费较少的时间决定是否有装置的消息。无线装置一般藉由检查消息清单决定它们是否为消息的指定接收者。先前技艺的消息清单不仅包括许多显示包含于该清单的每一个消息的送达地的辨识码及其中消息数目的计数,亦包括消息本身。在该消息清单中包括消息本身增加了当决定消息清单是否有装置的消息时无线装置必须保持苏醒的时间。例如,当消息清单包括10个以目的地辨识码的递增顺序所列出的消息且有送到一至四的装置的消息,具装置辨识码“ 5”的无线装置必须不仅在前四个消息辨识码维持苏醒,亦要在前四个消息本身亦维持苏醒,一旦装置”5”接收其消息其会回到休眠直到下一次消息清单被接收,其如已提及,此在预先决定间隔发生。
为减少当决定是否该特定消息清单含要传送给它们的消息时装置必须维持苏醒的时间,本发明装设消息清单如图1、2及6所示。这些消息清单可依所欲/需要改良以最大化消息决定方法以免偏离本发明范围。
先参考图1,根据本发明消息清单10的第一具体实施例被示出。该消息清单10包括包含于该消息清单的目的地辨识码的数目的计数且被提供于该消息清单10的开始。在此具体实施例中,该计数以参考数字12表示且称的为“列出的辨识码计数”。大抵以参考数字14表示的该目的地辨识码1-N以增加数字的顺序列出。每一个目的地辨识码1-N具相关消息指示器。在此具体实施例中,该消息指示器1-N亦以递增数字的顺序列出且大抵以参考数字16表示。
在替代具体实施例中,如图2所示,该消息清单10可被配置以使该消息指示器1-N16在它们的相关目的地辨识码1-N14的后。应注意在图1及2中,该目的地辨识码1-N14与其相关消息指示器1-N16以单调递增数字的次序被组织,但亦可以单调递减数字的次序被组织。
一种显示方法30以决定是否无线装置的消息已到达的逻辑图被示于图3,该无线装置可为任何形式的无线装置,例如无线电话、个人数字助理、或口袋型个人计算机。示于第3、4、及5图的方法可被施用于示于图1及2的消息清单的两个具体实施例。
方法30由步骤32以起始化该装置的搜寻指示器至第一辨识码开始及加载所列出辨识码的计数至计数变量(亦即含该计数的登录或内存单元)。方法30再进行至步骤34以决定该计数是否等于零。若该计数等于零,则方法30进行至步骤36,其中消息标志被清除。若该计数不等于零,则方法进行至步骤38,在方法38,由指示器搜寻所指向的该目的地辨识码由该装置加载。该装置较佳为加载该目的地辨识码至该装置的处理组件,一旦该目的地辨识码由该装置加载,方法30进行至步骤40,其中该目的地辨识码与该装置辨识码比较以决定该目的地辨识码是否大于该装置辨识码。若是,则没有该装置的后续消息且方法30进行至步骤36,于此,如上所述,消息标志被清除。若否,则方法30进行步骤42,于此决定该目的地辨识码是否等于该装置辨识码。若该目的地辨识码等于该装置辨识码,则有该装置的消息且方法30进行至步骤44。在步骤44,该消息标志被设定且至对应于该目的地辨识码的消息的指示器被加载,若该目的地辨识码不等于该装置辨识码,则方法30自步骤42进行至步骤46。在步骤46,该搜寻指示器被推进至下一个目的地辨识码且在步骤48,该计数被减少。
现在参考图4,决定消息是否已到达该无线装置的方法50被示出。在此具体实施例中,该装置被预期有超过一个在该消息清单内具相同装置辨识码的消息。该方法50以步骤52开始,其中无线装置的搜寻指示器被起始至第一辨识码,所列出的辨识码计数被载至计数变量,且所列出消息及消息标志被清除。由步骤52,该方法进行至步骤54,于此决定所列出的辨识码计数是否等于零,若该计数等于零,则方法50结束于步骤56,若该计数不等于零,则方法50进行至步骤58,于此由搜寻指示器所指向的该目的地辨识码由该无线装置加载。由步骤58,该方法进行至步骤60,于此决定该目的地辨识码是否大于该装置辨识码。若该目的地辨识码大于该装置辨识码,则方法50进行至步骤56,于此,如上所述,该方法结束。若该目的地辨识码不大于该装置辨识码,则方法50进行至步骤62,于此决定该目的地辨识码是否等于该装置辨识码。
在步骤62,若该目的地辨识码等于该装置辨识码,则该消息标志被设定且至对应于该目的地辨识码的消息的指示器被加至执行方法50的特定无线装置的消息清单(步骤64)。由步骤64,该方法进行至步骤66,其中该搜寻指示器被推进至下一个目的地辨识码,若在步骤62,该目的地辨识码不等于该装置辨识码,则方法50直接自步骤62进行至步骤66。在步骤66后,所列出该辨识码的计数被减少,计数减少的量可依所需决定。
现在参照图5,决定消息是否已到达该无线装置的方法70被示出。在此具体实施例中,该装置被预期有超过一个具在该消息清单内相同装置辨识码或多个辨识码的消息。单一装置的多个装置辨识码可被用于如特定装置的使用者登记至数个无线多重播送服务的情况。藉由说明,一装置可具一种特别用于该装置的消息辨识码且其具伴随一组装置的另一个辨识码。以此方式,整个组可以仅送出单一辨识码而送出一消息。一种装置亦可寻求一些传播至一任意数目的装置(如运动比赛数据及股票报告)的传输。
该方法70以步骤72开始,其中至第一装置辨识码的搜寻指示器被起始,所列出的辨识码计数被载至计数变量,且标志及所列出消息被清除,且由测试消息清单的第一测试辨识码被载至无线装置的处理组件。该测试消息清单含在窗口为苏醒以检查的期间该装置可潜在性由此接受消息的所有辨识码。该测试清单应为合适用于搜寻已接收辨识码的单调顺序。由步骤72,该方法70进行至步骤74,于此决定所列出的辨识码计数是否等于零,若是,则方法70结束于步骤76,若否,则方法70进行至步骤78,于此由搜寻指示器所指向的该目的地辨识码被加载该装置的处理组件。进行至步骤80,于此决定该目的地辨识码是否大于该测试辨识码。若是,则方法进行至步骤82,于此决定在该测试清单是否有另一个测试辨识码,若在该清单有另一个测试辨识码,则下一个测试辨识码于步骤84被加载且此方法回到步骤74,若没有另一个测试辨识码,则该方法70于步骤86结束。
回到步骤80,若该目的地辨识码不大于该测试辨识码,则方法70进行至步骤88,在步骤88决定该目的地辨识码是否等于该测试辨识码。若是,则一种该消息标志被设定且至对应于该目的地辨识码的消息的指示器被加至该消息清单(步骤90)。由步骤90,该方法70进行至步骤92。若相反的,该目的地辨识码不等于该测试辨识码,则方法70直接进行至步骤92。在步骤92,该搜寻指示器被推进至下一个目的地辨识码且在步骤94,所列出该辨识码的计数被减少,计数减少的量可依所需决定。
现在参照图6,根据本发明消息清单100的另一具体实施例被示出,在此具体实施例中,没有列出辨识码的计数,而是清单终止器102被列出,其中该消息清单由在一般辨识码位置的独特数字终止。在递增辨识码实施例中,此终止子的有效值为零。以此方式,在搜寻期间仅该指示器必须被改变,且大于在该清单中辨识码的辨识码的比较会结束该搜寻。
一种方法,由此装置可决定如图6所示的消息清单是否包括任何这些装置的消息的方法被示于图7。方法120由步骤122开始,其起始化搜寻指示器至第一目的地辨识码,在步骤124,由搜寻指示器指向的目的地辨识码被加载该装置的处理组件,在步骤126,决定该目的地辨识码是否等于该结束值(亦即,该清单终止器的值)。若该目的地辨识码等于该结束值,则方法进行至步骤128,于此消息标志被清除且方法120结束。若该目的地辨识码不等于该结束值,则方法120进行至步骤130,于此决定该目的地辨识码是否大于该特别装置的装置辨识码,亦即决定消息清单是否包括此装置的消息。若该目的地辨识码大于该装置辨识码,则方法120进行至步骤128,于此消息标志被清除且方法120结束。若该目的地辨识码小于或等于该装置辨识码,则方法120进行至步骤132。
在步骤132,决定该目的地辨识码是否等于该装置辨识码。若是,则该消息标志被设定且至对应于该目的地辨识码的消息的指示器被加载该装置的处理组件(步骤134),若否,则于步骤136该搜寻指示器被推进至下一个目的地辨识码且该方法120于在步骤124继续。
先前形式被使用,或是所表示形式的一些变化是基于伴随使辨识码及消息指示器、及处理装置可搜寻消息的数值的效率。至该消息的指示器可为至定义实际消息传输的存在的数据的简单程序语言指示器,或是其可为数据本身。实际数据可为形式:载波频道、播放时段、及频道译码。若该消息数据非常短(如电话号码),将该消息插入该消息指示器的正常位置常是更有效的。在此情况下,数据流的消息指示器部份的一或更多位必须被保留做为所存在其它位的定义位。例如,两个位可被编码以使一个编码显示其余位为该消息,接着为至该消息的指示器的编码,且第三个编码为至该数据的指示器,其定义于何处找到的后的消息,第四个编码可能性为一些未来用途的备份。
关于本发明在3G无线电存取网络的实施,有两个辨识“目的地”及“消息指示器”的基本方法,传播(在BCH/P CCPCH的BCCH)或专属(在DCH/DPCCH+DPDCH的DCCH)讯号。若专属讯号被施用,则讯号对“目的地”为特定的,且排列控制数据次序是没有应用或利益的,因所有讯号是用于目的地装置。若传播讯号被施用,则恢复此数据的现有机制与该数据的处理无关。
当消息数目较小时,上述具体实施例一般为放置或决定无装置消息的最快方法。然而,当清单较长时,可使用快速方法以搜寻单调递增或递减消息清单。例如,二元演算协议平均需要log2(计数)测试。这些计算更为复杂的,且不同的处理器会以不同速度执行这些计算。一般,若有超过约32个经接收辨识码,对在测试的单一辨识码,二元演算较为快速。若有许多辨识码在测试,对大量计数,循序测试更为有效。协议的选择亦可基于辨识码或被测试的辨识码的值而被选择。若要被搜寻的单一号码为低的且接收序列(亦即消息清单)为单调递增,则最佳方法为在已接收数据的开端开始搜寻。若讯号号码为高的且接收序列为单调递增,则最佳方法为在已接收数据的末端开始搜寻。(数据常在无线系统以区段传输并因错误修正原因具夹页,所以,所有区段数据在任何数据可被检查前必须被接收及译码。)所以,本发明较佳具体实施例为考虑已接收辨识码的数目、是否有一个或更多辨识码要被寻找、及在用于每一个搜寻事件的搜寻协议的选择的经寻找辨识码的数字分布。
现在参照图8,显示系统200以最佳化无线装置中功率资源。该系统200包括至少一个无线网络控制器(RNC)、至少一个基站(BS)、及至少一个无线装置(206)。该无线装置206包括一处理机208以搜寻消息清单的消息,其中该装置206为有计划的接收者。为最大化该装置206为休眠(asleep)(亦即仅时钟运转,其告知该装置定期地苏醒)的时间量,该消息清单如上述被采用。该装置206根据消息清单的形式使用如上述方法决定是否特定消息清单包括该装置的消息。
虽然特定处理功能已由特定组件执行的方式被叙述,应了解的是处理功能的性能可依所欲在系统组件间分布。
虽然本发明已详细叙述,要了解的是本发明不限于此,且各种变化可在其中进行而不偏离由所附申请专利范围所定义的本发明意旨及范围。
Claims (5)
1.一种在无线装置接收一消息的方法,其包括:
与一无线网络进行同步化以使该无线装置在一预定时间间隔内从一省电模式苏醒以接收一消息清单;
接收该消息清单,该消息清单不具有消息数据且包括一目的地辨识码及一与该目的地辨识码相关的消息指示器,其中该目的地辨识码指示该消息准备用于的一装置,以及其中该目的地辨识码包含于该相关的消息指示器前的该消息清单中;
侦测该目的地辨识码是对应于该无线装置;以及
响应于侦测到该目的地辨识码对应于该无线装置,该无线装置处理该消息指示器并接收由该消息指示器指示的该消息。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中该消息清单更包括在该消息清单的该目的地辨识码的一计数。
3.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中该消息清单更包括一清单终止器。
4.如权利要求1所述的方法,其中当该消息清单不包括对应于该无线装置的该目的地辨识码时,更包括回复到省电模式。
5.一种用于在无线装置接收消息的设备,该设备包括:
用于与无线网络进行同步化以使该无线装置在预定时间间隔内从省电模式苏醒以接收消息清单的模块;
用于接收所述消息清单的模块,所述消息清单不具有消息数据且包括目的地辨识码及与该目的地辨识码相关的消息指示器,其中该目的地辨识码指示该消息准备用于的一装置,以及其中该目的地辨识码包含于该相关的消息指示器前的该消息清单中;
用于侦测所述目的地辨识码是对应于所述无线装置的模块;以及
用于响应于侦测到所述目的地辨识码对应于所述无线装置而处理所述消息指示器并接收由该消息指示器指示的消息的模块。
