Description
本发明涉及反射转印系统以及在丝网印刷法中制造反射转印片(transfer)的方法。本发明的术语“反射转印片”是指反射性基于使用含有大量反射小粒子的油墨或载体材料的转印片。
现有技术
上述的反射油墨早已知道。这些油墨的反射性基于油墨体中含有大量的反射小粒子。这些粒子可以是球形,且由金属、玻璃、镀金属玻璃或镀金属塑料制成。合适的油墨例如由Sericol公司以″Reflec100″和″Reflec200″商标销售。
含有片状反射粒子的油墨也是已知的。
本发明中的术语“反射油墨”也可理解为无色或透明的载体或漆,只要它含有反射粒子。
根据现有技术,这种油墨只能用于直接丝网印刷法,才基本上不会损害其反射性质。
根据直接丝网印刷法,将反射油墨直接涂布在基底上。织物和塑料片可用作上述基片。也可以涂布加工过的织物,如衬衫、茄克和T-恤。
现有的直接丝网印刷法包括如下工艺步骤:
1.把待印刷的基片放在印刷装置中并进行定位;
2.任选地印刷/涂布底涂层(primer coating);
3.印刷/涂布反射油墨。
视所用底涂层和反射油墨的性质,还可在各个工艺步骤之间提供干燥步骤。
用直接丝网印刷法可以在上述基片上制造高质量的印刷品,因此,反射油墨具有非常好的反射能力。
然而,直接丝网印刷法有许多缺点。印刷成品织物(如衬衫或茄克)很难,因为织物上的接缝或其它涂层会干扰或妨碍印刷工艺。在印刷装置中也需将待印刷的织物精确定位,这样会增加工作量。另外,预制的织物必须送到印刷所,这又增加运输费用。在每种情况下即使印刷小批量也会涉及印刷装置的精确设置。这也是不利的。
特别是由于客户经常需要印刷小批量的马上出售并可能视市场需求多次生产的产品,因此需每次用相应的印刷附件来装备印刷装置,从而增加了工作量和费用。
为了满足客户对可能重复生产的小批量产品的需求,通过减少生产调整准备成本来提高设备利用率和创造基片涂布和印刷设备场所相分离的可能性,使用众所周知的转印系统。
已知的丝网印刷转印系统按如下方法制造和转印:
提供转印载体,如硅氧烷化或上蜡的纸;
涂布/印刷油墨;和
涂布/印刷粘合剂。
如果想用上述的转印系统制造图象,则需在转印载体上印刷镜象反转的图象。
这些转印系统可用简单的方式、合理的成本大量制造。
制得的转印片可运送到客户处,在所需的位置可用简单的转印机粘贴在所需的基片上。这样,最终购买者可以从许多预制的转印片中选择图象,然后将转印片粘贴在各自选择的基片上。使用这些转印系统,几乎可以在任何销售场合提供带有顾客所需图象的基片。
粘贴按如下步骤进行,即把基片送入转印机并定位,把带有粘合剂涂层的转印片放在基片上并定位,通过加压加热(如有必要)用转印机把转印片粘贴到基片上,从转印机中取出带图象的基片,并从基片上剥离转印片的载体。
然而现已发现,在已知的丝网印刷体系中使用反射油墨,粘贴到基片上后的反射油墨几乎不再有反射性。这是不合乎需要的。
DE-AS1446828揭示了一种制造反射转印膜的方法以及由这种方法制得的转印膜。其中在热的作用下在涂有一层遇热软化的塑料的载体上将球形反射粒子加入塑料涂层表面中。然后在带有突出反射粒子的冷却塑料涂层上依次涂上橡胶粘合剂层、任选的隔热层、粘合剂层,最后是第二层载体。粘贴时,把第二层载体剥离,然后在加热下把暴露出的粘合剂表面粘贴到织物基底上。最后剥离涂塑载体。
美国专利3,420,597公开了刚性基底(如路牌)上的高反射涂层的制造方法。在这种情况下,将含有完全镀有金属的微球的油墨涂在基底上,然后将油墨体干燥,从而使微球体从油墨层表面中突起。在进一步的加工步骤中,通过蚀刻除去从油墨层中突起的球体金属涂层,从而获得特别好的反射能力。
美国专利5631064描述了一种制造反射转印片的方法。在该方法中提供一种在加热下能被软化的塑料层的背衬层,背衬层上有反射球体,球体的30~40%处在背衬内。任选地在球体表面涂布镜面层。在两步法中,先在球体表面上涂覆合成树脂粘结剂,然后印刷转印粘合剂。要印刷图像时以镜像反转形式涂布印刷品。
为了粘贴到基底(如织物)上,将转印片的转印粘合剂面对着基底,然后进行粘贴。最后,剥离带有可加热软化的塑料层的背衬层,从而使球体留在固化的粘结剂层中。
奥地利专利200691描述了一种通过许多小玻璃或金属颗粒产生反射作用的液体反射涂布剂。
本发明的目的是克服现有技术中的缺点,提供一种丝网印刷反射转印系统及其制造方法。该系统中的反射油墨在转印到基底上后提供显著的反射性。
本发明的另一个目的涉及提供丝网印刷转印系统及其制造方法。其中使本发明所用反射油墨中至少一部分反射粒子从干燥油墨层上突起。
本发明的目的通过独立权利要求的特征加以解决。优选的实施方式描述在从属权利要求中。
因此,本发明基于如下认识,即本发明所用反射油墨的反射性主要通过从固化油墨层表面突起的反射粒子产生。按照本发明的精神,可以理解为至少一部分所用反射粒子的部分表面从载体层表面中突起。
本发明丝网印刷反射转印系统的制造方法按如下步骤进行。
先为待粘贴的转印片放置底载体(下文中称为基介质(Basismedium))。该基介质通常可由表面防粘的纸或塑料膜构成。防粘性可通过对基介质进行硅氧烷化或上蜡来获得。所有常见和已知的防粘膜和窄条(strip)都可用作基介质,唯一的限制是基介质的表面应有足够的防粘性,以确保非破坏性地剥离所涂的粘合剂层。合适的基介质例如由B.Laufenberg股份有限公司以商品名NP950出售。
在本发明的丝网印刷法中,将转印粘合剂印刷在基介质的防粘表面上。这种印刷应与图像左右吻合(seitenrichtig)地进行。任意选择的不同图像,甚至是独立的图象可用作表面。“独立的图象”理解为具有至少两个相互不连接部分的图象。
常见的热敏和/或压敏粘合剂都可用作丝网印刷转印系统的粘合剂。合适的粘合剂例如是由Sericol公司以商品名Metratan FT421出售的粘合剂。
粘合剂在固化以后可以是透明的、半透明的、有色半透明的或有色覆盖的。
在一个优选的实施方式中,粘合剂染成白色。然后在这样制得的白色背景上涂覆反射油墨。这样可制成粘贴在基底上后能特别有效地使用反射油墨中生色组分的转印片。
由于使用白色背景,增强了着色作用,颜色变得更强烈,彩色发送序列更均匀。反射也似乎更强烈。
特别是这样可避免基底本色对转印片的彩色外观可能产生的干扰影响。
在一个任选的工艺步骤中,可将基介质上的粘合剂层干燥。这种干燥可用干燥工段或其它已知的可能方式进行。
在随后的工艺步骤中,用丝网印刷法将反射油墨印刷在粘合剂层上。如果要展示图象,则需保证平面图中左右是吻合的。这种印刷可按常规方法以单色或多色进行。
然后进行一个干燥步骤。在该步骤中将印刷的反射油墨以及可能的粘合剂干燥。这种干燥可通过干燥段或其它已知的可能方式进行。
这种由粘合剂层和反射油墨构成并位于基介质上的转印片上可涂布自粘柔性转印介质,较好覆盖整个表面。已知的转印介质可由涂有常规转印粘合剂的薄膜或纸构成。裱贴好转印介质后,可进行转印片的粘贴。本文中所述的粘贴在时间和空间上与转印片的制造无关。
为了进行粘贴,从转印片上剥离基介质,然后暴露出粘合剂。将转印片的粘合剂层放在基底,加热和/或加压下用转印机压到基底上。这样粘合剂与该基底粘合在一起。在家用范围内,甚至例如可用电熨斗进行转印。
最后可以在冷却后从涂覆的基底上剥离转印介质。
本发明方法中所用的反射油墨是其对入射光的反射能力基于油墨体中反射粒子的油墨。上述的反射粒子可由金属、玻璃、镀有金属的玻璃或镀有金属的塑料制成。这些反射粒子可以是球形的、近似球形的、片状或针状的。球形或近似球形粒子的直径为10-110微米,较好为25-40微米。碎片或针形物的纵向量度为10-110微米,较好为40-80微米。
油墨体还可含有一种或多种颜料,从而改变日光下的外观和印象。在黑暗中,反射也似乎是彩色的。
本发明的方法较好利用了如下发现:即通过对涂布反射油墨的干燥工艺步骤明显改善了反射油墨的反射性能。用这一步骤制得的转印片既有使用方便的优点又提供了目前只有直接丝网印刷法才能获得的反射能力。
虽然不想局限于此,但假定用干燥和固化步骤可以达到将从油墨层中突起的反射粒子固定在位的作用。这种作用的证据是在干燥过程中油墨层减小了体积,从而减小了油墨层的厚度,特别是挥发了水和/或溶剂。
由于在干燥和固化过程中分别减小了油墨层的厚度,所以更多的反射粒子从油墨层表面上突起,并起到反射作用。这些反射粒子从干燥的油墨层上突起的量度约占其直径或其纵向长度的30%。
在本发明的另一个实施方式中,在上述的粘合剂层上还印刷上一层附加的中间油墨层。这种油墨不是反射油墨。然后在该中间油墨层印刷反射油墨。
如上所述,在粘合剂层上印刷中间层和/或在中间层上印刷反射油墨可以用湿压湿印刷法进行或中间插入一个干燥步骤。
通过用丝网印刷法印刷任何所需的单组分或两组分印刷油墨可形成上述的中间层。形成中间层所用的油墨较好是高遮盖率的油墨。因此,视所需的图象或彩色效果而异,可选择任何所需的色调。合适的油墨以商品名NB021购自Sericol公司和以商品名Maraflor TK购自Marabu公司。
用于形成中间层的油墨可以与粘合剂层和/或反射油墨相同的厚度进行印刷,但该层的厚度较好为5-50微米,更好为10-20微米。
与没有使用中间层的转印片相比,由使用上述的中间层制得的本发明转印片提供了更高的拉伸强度和撕裂强度。用作中间层的印刷油墨一般也比着色转印片粘合剂提供更高的油墨覆盖率,这样就比使用染色透明粘合剂时获得更多的优越性。
特别有利的是结合使用由透明或半透明粘合剂制成的粘合剂层和由白色油墨制成的高覆盖率中间层。当将转印片粘贴到基底上,特别是加压热转印时,粘合剂会流入基底的上层,少量的粘合剂留在转印片和基底之间,在粘贴的转印片之间形成边缘。使用有色粘合剂可能导致不合需要的有色边缘。使用上述的复合物,固化的中间油墨层不会流动,这样不会在粘贴的转印片的周围形成有色边缘。流出的无色粘合剂确实在粘贴的转印片周围形成边缘,但在这种情况下由于粘合剂的透明性不会形成不需要的有色边缘。
在另一个实施方式中,反射油墨和转印粘合剂可在一个工艺步骤中涂布在基介质上。在这种情况下,可省略用于单独涂布油墨的任选中间层。
为了同时涂布粘合剂和反射油墨,可以制备上述两种材料的混合物,然后在单个步骤中涂布混合物。
本发明的粘合剂/反射油墨混合物也可理解为含有透明、半透明或有色粘合剂和反射粒子的预制品。含有反射粒子的塑料溶胶基的转印粘合剂是特别合适的。这种含有反射粒子的塑料溶胶粘合剂是已知的,且是市售的。
在以单一步骤涂布转印粘合剂/反射粒子混合物或含有反射粒子的转印粘合剂的实施方式中,采用如下的方法:
首先,涂布具有防粘表面的基介质。用丝网印刷法将转印粘合剂/反射油墨混合物或含有反射粒子的转印粘合剂印刷在上述的防粘表面上。
如果要描绘图象,则需左右吻合地进行印刷。在彩色图象的情况下将各种彩色转印粘合剂/反射油墨混合物或含有反射粒子的转印粘合剂印刷在基介质的各个区域。在彩色图象的情况下可以用湿压湿印刷法进行印刷,或在各个印刷步骤之间可干燥各个区域。
最后进行干燥。干燥时,只要还没有在任选的中间干燥步骤中出现,反射粒子就会以上述的方式从印刷混合物或粘合剂的表面突起。
如上所述,在基介质上制成的转印片还可覆盖自粘柔性转印介质。
该实施方式提供了另一个优点,即在制造转印片过程中可省略一个工艺步骤,即涂布或印刷独立的转印粘合剂层。
另外,当用转印机使用这种仅有一个印刷层的转印片时,必须特别小心,因为在粘贴时粘合剂被软化,以便涂布基底的表面或能使其渗透入基底的表面中。嵌入反射粒子且从它们的表面中突起的床可能同时被软化。在粘贴过程中,必须小心确保施加在突起反射粒子上的转印机压力不能高得将这些粒子完全压入它们的床中,因为这样会损失大量的反射性。然而,只要没有明显影响反射性,将反射粒子稍微压入软化的床中也包括在本发明的范围中。
以下参照附图和实施例对本发明作更详细的描述。
附图简介
图1表示用本发明的方法制得且在干燥反射油墨的工艺步骤后的转印片。
图2表示用本发明的方法制造并覆盖了转印薄膜的转印片。
图3表示用本发明方法制造并已粘贴到基底上和暴露在光线下的转印片。
图4表示反射油墨已粘贴到转印载体上的现有转印片。
图5表示还涂有转印粘合剂的现有转印片。
图6表示已粘贴到基底上并暴露在光线中的现有转印片。
图7表示用本发明方法中干燥反射油墨的工艺步骤制得的转印片,它的中间层位于粘合剂层和反射油墨层之间。
图1表示油墨层干燥工艺步骤后的转印片。它包括基介质1,在该基介质上用丝网印刷法印刷转印粘合剂2。油墨层3用丝网印刷法左右吻合地印刷在转印粘合剂2上。油墨层3中所含的至少一部分反射粒子4从干燥和固化油墨层的暴露表面上突起。
图2表示用本发明方法制造的图1所示的反射转印片。在油墨层3上另外还覆盖了含有粘合剂的转印薄膜5。在这种情况下,由于转印薄膜的存在,反射粒子4不再压入固化的油墨层3中。
图3表示用本发明方法制得的反射转印片,它包括转印粘合剂2、干燥和固化的油墨层3以及突起的反射粒子4,由此把转印片粘贴到基底6上。另外还可看到被反射粒子4反射的入射光线7。
图4表示反射油墨3’已粘贴到转印载体上的制造步骤中的现有转印片。在这种情况下,将以后形成朝向光线的表面的油墨层3’表面转向转印载体5’。反射粒子4’从以后朝向基底的油墨层2’表面上突起。由于油墨层3’与转印载体5’接触,反射粒子4’不能从以后油墨层3’的外表面上突起。
图5表示制造步骤中已将转印粘合剂2’涂布在反射油墨3’的现有转印片。在这种情况下,可以认为从油墨层3’的表面突起的反射粒子4’埋入转印粘合剂2’中。
图6表示已粘贴到基底6上的现有转印片,这样转印粘合剂2’位于基底6和油墨层3’之间。朝向入射光7的油墨层3’表面没有提供任何突起的反射粒子4’。由于反射粒子4’埋入油墨层3’和转印粘合剂2’中,入射光束7仅被不充分地反射。因此,实际上没有反射效果。
图7表示油墨层干燥工艺步骤后的本发明转印片。它包括基介质1,在该基介质上用丝网印刷法印刷上转印粘合剂2。在转印粘合剂2上用丝网印刷法左右吻合地印刷上中间油墨层8。在中间油墨层8上印刷上油墨层3。油墨层3中所含的至少一部分反射粒子从干燥和固化油墨层的暴露表面上突起。
实施例
实施例1
在一个装有织物伸长(stretch)为21-77的丝网印刷网架、多层聚氨酯刮墨刀和金属浮动刀片的全自动丝网印刷机中,放入涂有硅氧烷树脂的NP950型纸(购自Laufenberg GmbH)作为基介质,然后涂覆FT421型转印粘合剂(购自Sericol公司),层厚为100-300微米。在一个干燥段中用红外干燥器干燥转印粘合剂,干燥温度为80-120℃。在转印粘合剂上印刷反射油墨或反射油墨混合物,湿层厚为100-300微米。然后在一个干燥段中用红外干燥器进行干燥,干燥温度为80-120℃。将涂有粘合剂的纸制转印介质粘贴在制成的转印片上。
实施例2
在实施例1所用的丝网印刷机中,放入涂有硅氧烷树脂的NP950型纸(购自Laufenberg GmbH)作为基介质,然后涂覆Metraton FT421型透明转印粘合剂(购自Sericol公司),层厚为100-200微米。在一个干燥段中用红外干燥器干燥上述的转印粘合剂,干燥温度为80-120℃。在透明粘合剂上印刷约为20微米厚的NB021(购自Sericol公司)白色调的中间层,然后按同样方法干燥。然后在干燥的中间层上涂布Reflek100型反射油墨(购自Sericol公司),层厚为100-120微米。然后进行空气干燥。将涂有粘合剂的纸制转印介质粘贴在制成的转印片上。
实施例3
在实施例1所用的丝网印刷机中,放入涂有硅氧烷树脂的NP950型纸(购自Laufenberg GmbH)作为基介质。然后涂覆含有反射粒子的染色透明粘合剂,层厚为100-250微米,在温度为50-120℃的干燥段中进行干燥。将涂有粘合剂的纸制转印介质粘贴在制成的转印片上。
Claims (16)
1.一种丝网印刷反射转印片的制造方法,该方法包括如下步骤:
提供防粘基介质(1);
用转印粘合剂(2)涂布基介质(1);
印刷反射油墨(3),所用的反射油墨含有许多反射粒子;和
干燥所述的转印片。
2.如权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于在印刷反射油墨(3)之前,在一个附加的步骤中将中间油墨层(8)涂布在涂布的转印粘合剂(2)上。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的方法,其特征在于在将转印粘合剂涂布基介质(1)后和在印刷反射油墨(3)和/或中间油墨层(8)之前,将转印粘合剂干燥。
4.如权利要求2或3所述的方法,其特征在于在印刷反射油墨(3)之前干燥中间油墨层(8)。
5.一种丝网印刷反射转印片的制造方法,该方法包括如下步骤:
提供防粘基介质;
用含有许多反射粒子的转印粘合剂/反射油墨混合物或含有许多反射粒子的转印粘合剂涂布基介质;和
干燥所述的转印片。
6.如上述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于还把转印介质(5)涂覆到所述的干燥和固化转印片上。
7.如上述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于所述的转印粘合剂是透明、半透明或全色的,特别是全白色的(vollfarbig weiβ)。
8.如上述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于使用基本上为球形且粒径为10-100微米,较好为25-40微米的反射粒子(4)或基本上为片形或针形且纵向长度为10-110微米,较好为40-80微米的反射粒子(4)或它们的混合物。
9.如上述权利要求中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于所述的转印层印刷在基介质上,从而使展示的图象在平面图中左右吻合。
10.如上述权利要求中任一项所述方法制得的反射转印片。
11.涂有按权利要求1-9中任一项所述方法制得的反射转印片的基底。
12.反射转印片,它具有如下层序:
基介质(1)、转印粘合剂(2)、任选的中间层(8)、反射油墨(3),其中反射油墨(3)含有许多反射粒子(4),所述的反射粒子(4)从固化反射油墨(3)表面上突起。
13.如权利要求12所述的反射转印片,其特征在于所述的转印粘合剂(2)是透明的,且含有白色的中间油墨层(8)。
14.具有基介质的反射转印片,其特征在于在所述的基介质上有含有许多反射粒子的转印粘合剂和反射油墨混合物或含有许多反射粒子的转印粘合剂,且反射粒子在固化的混合物或转印粘合剂的表面突起。
15.如权利要求12-14中任一项所述的反射转印片,其特征在于所述的转印介质(5)涂在带有突起反射粒子(4)的转印片上。
16.如权利要求12-15中任一项所述的反射转印片,其特征在于所述的反射粒子(4)基本上是球形的,其粒径为10-100微米,较好为25-40微米,或基本上是片形或针形的,其纵向长度为10-110微米,较好为40-80微米,或是上述形状的混合。
