技术领域

背景技术

有两种常见的疾病使一些雏鸡备受折磨。第一种是吸收卵黄囊后腹壁闭合出现问题。在这种情况下,雏鸡孵出后,其腹腔是打开的。这种情况通常没救了。如果没在第一时间发现,打开的伤口会导致该区域出现有害细菌和感染,最终导致雏鸡死亡。
第二种疾病是畸形或残疾的腿或者脚或畸形的喙或眼睛。腿和脚畸形的雏鸡经不起恶劣的大规模养殖环境,无法在“养殖场”获得足够的饲料和水,最终完全不能像其健康的同类那样生长。因此,需要将它们尽快移除。
因此,需要迅速、高效地对日龄雏鸡进行检查,以确定它们是否足够健康,足以经得起恶劣的家禽生产环境。另外,需要迅速、高效地监测日龄雏鸡的任何身体异常情况,以便将具有这种异常情况的雏鸡从健康的鸡群中分离出来。
雏鸡早期性别鉴定对于家禽生产来说也很重要,这样能确保尽快将不同性别的小鸡分开,从而确保适当资源的有效投资。蛋鸡中雄鸡没有价值,同样的也只需要有限数量的育种雄鸡。在饲养肉鸡的情况下,人们也不太想要雄性肉鸡。饲料转化率(FCR)或单位体重增加的饲料成本是雄性肉鸡不受欢迎的主要原因。
自二十世纪初以来,对日龄雏鸡进行性别鉴定一直是家禽业中的普遍做法。多年来,业界一直使用人工肛门性别鉴定和羽毛性别鉴定来分离雄性雏鸡和雌性雏鸡。这两种基于对雏鸡进行人工操作的方法都被认为对雏鸡不太友好,并且增加了已鉴定出性别的雏鸡的七天死亡率。
已知的是可以通过雏鸡的翅膀羽毛鉴定出日龄雏鸡的性别。雄性和雌性日龄雏鸡的翅膀上弯曲处的羽毛型态和长度不同。然而,目前采用的通过人工散开雏鸡翅膀的方法增加了雏鸡生病和受伤的机会。此外,人工方法是劳动密集型的,并且随着时间的推移可能会对工人造成重复性创伤劳损。
因此,需要对日龄雏鸡进行快速、自动地检查,确定其性别,然后按性别将它们分开。
发明内容
本申请中描述的实施方式包括一系统,该系统具有用于定位移动平台上的雏鸡的装置和用于捕获移动平台上雏鸡的至少一张电子图像的图像捕获装置。该系统还包括一数据库和图像处理器,所述数据库包含该雏鸡品种中健康和不健康的雏鸡的电子图像,所述图像处理器与图像捕获装置和数据库通信。当捕获的雏鸡图像被发送到图像处理器时,图像与数据库中的雏鸡图像进行比对,若该雏鸡图像与数据库中的健康雏鸡图像不符或匹配到不健康雏鸡的图像或呈现出任何异常,则将该雏鸡从鸡群中分离出去。
所述定位装置可以是传送机。捕获的雏鸡图像可以是正面图像。捕获的雏鸡图像可以是其躯干部分图像。捕获的雏鸡图像可以是其腿部、面部以及爪部图像。
本申请描述的实施方式还包括用于确定日龄雏鸡健康状况的方法,该方法包括定位移动平台上雏鸡的步骤和捕获移动平台上雏鸡的至少一张电子图像的步骤。该方法还包括提供包含雏鸡品种中健康和不健康的雏鸡的电子图像的数据库以及提供与所述图像捕获装置和数据库通信的图像处理器。该方法还包括将捕获的图像与数据库中的电子图像进行比对以及确定捕获的图像是否与数据库中的那些图像不符。
本申请中描述的实施方式包括一系统,该系统具有使雏鸡散开翅膀的装置和用于在雏鸡散开翅膀时捕获雏鸡翅膀的至少一张电子图像的图像捕获装置。该系统还包括一数据库和图像处理器,所述数据库包含该雏鸡品种中雄鸡和雌鸡的翅膀型态的电子图像,所述图像处理器与所述图像捕获装置和数据库通信。当捕获的雏鸡翅膀图像被发送到图像处理器时,图像与数据库中该品种雏鸡翅膀型态进行比对,确定雏鸡性别。
用于使雏鸡散开翅膀的装置优选为有角度的传送机或铰链式平台。所述图像捕获装置可以为数码相机。捕获的雏鸡图像可以是正面图像。
本申请的实施方式还描述了确定雏鸡性别的方法,该方法包括提供负载雏鸡的移动平台的步骤,引起至少一种刺激以使雏鸡散开翅膀的步骤以及在雏鸡散开翅膀时捕获至少一张雏鸡图像的步骤。该方法还包括提供其中具有数字图像库的数据库以及提供与所述图像捕获装置和数据库通信的计算机处理器。在雏鸡散开翅膀后,捕获翅膀的图像。将雏鸡翅膀的图像与数字图像库进行比对,确定雏鸡性别。

本申请描述的实施例不意图用于进行限制。其目的是各实施例应当涵盖本申请所定义的所有替换、修改以及等同实施例。
具体实施方式
本申请的实施例主要涉及用于确定雏鸡相关健康状况以及性别的系统和方法。图1示出的第一实施例10包括运送孵化场中的雏鸡14的第一传送机12。应当理解,雏鸡14已经预先经其他传送机和分配器进行分离,这里雏鸡是以一列纵队形式随第一传送机12前移。第一传送机12具有存在传感器16,以感测第一传送机上雏鸡14的存在。沿第一传送机12的路径上设有一个或多个照相机18。优选的是,照相机18位于传送机末端,与雏鸡14的身体对齐,从而能够对焦在雏鸡的腹部、腿部和爪部上。此外,照相机18可以安装在第一传送机12的头顶上方,从而能够对焦在雏鸡身上且不会干扰到雏鸡随第一传送机的前移。术语传送机应理解为表示能够将目标物(本申请中为动物)从第一位置运送到第二位置的任意类型的处理机构。术语传送机应包括但不限于传送带、移动平台等等。
照相机18优选地为摄像机,其能在雏鸡随第一传送机12前移时摄录到每只雏鸡14的实时录像。照相机18与主系统控制器44和计算机处理器32通信(图7)。计算机处理器32包括健康和不健康雏鸡14的图像数据库。计算机处理器32设计用于接收和处理来自照相机18的图像,确定雏鸡图像是否显示出需要进一步关注的任何异常或有缺陷的迹象。该处理的详细内容将在下文进行讨论。
如图2所示,有角度的传送机20与第一传送机12相邻设置且在第一传送机12下方。第一有角度的传送机20与水平线成一角度θ。
第一有角度的传送机20具有近端22和远端24。该有角度的传送机20具有框架26,用于支撑该有角度的传送机(图4)。该有角度的传送机20的框架26在近端22可旋转地连接至一固定结构,比如整个系统的框架结构。框架26上支起一对围栏28,防止雏鸡从所述有角度的传送机20上掉落。
如图3-5所示,致动器30固定连接至所述有角度的传送机20的框架26上,还固定连接至支撑结构,比如整个系统的框架结构。致动器30正常定位的位置为将所述有角度的传送机20支撑在伸展位置。启动时,致动器30收缩,使得所述有角度的传送机20的框架26绕其近端22旋转并将远端24进一步向下摆动,增大角度θ。致动器30与远程控制该致动器的计算机处理器32通信。
回到图2,第三传送机34位于有角度的传送机20下方并且设置用于在所述有角度的传送机处于其伸展位置时接收来自该传送机的雏鸡14。第四传送机36位于有角度的传送机20的更下方处并且其朝向为与所述有角度的传送机20收缩时垂直。当所述有角度的传送机20被致动器30收缩时,该第四传送机36接收来自该有角度的传送机20的雏鸡14,这将在下文进行更详细的讨论。
如图2和6所示,第二有角度的传送机38直接位于第三传送机34的下方,接收来自该传送机的雏鸡14。第二存在传感器40位于第三传送机34的末端。第二存在传感器40感测沿所述第二有角度的传送机38的路径上的雏鸡14的存在。
照相机18位于第三传送机34的末端,在沿所述第二有角度的传送机38的路径上的一个或多个点上(图6)。照相机18定位的位置为能在雏鸡通过时对焦在雏鸡14的翅膀型态上。
风扇42沿第二有角度的传送机38的路径设置(图6)。风扇42定位的位置用于在雏鸡14通过时将气流向上导引。通过主控制系统44控制风扇的启动。主控制系统与计算机处理器32通信(图7)。
如图6所示,振动机构46固定至所述第二有角度的传送机38。使用过程中,振动机构46引起所述第二有角度的传送机38振动。振动机构46与主控制系统44通信。闪光灯47朝着传送机38的末端定位并位于传送机38的路径上方。闪光灯47也与主控制器44通信。
如图2所示,第五传送机48位于第二有角度的传送机38的末端。第五传送机48接收从第二有角度的传送机38上下来的那些雏鸡14。第六传送机50位于第二有角度的传送机38的正下方并与其垂直。当第二有角度的传送机38处于收缩位置时,第六传送机50接收从第二有角度的传送机38上下来的那些雏鸡14。下文将对该过程进行更详细的描述。
计算机处理器32包括一数据库,该数据库具有其中存储了各种小鸡品种的雏鸡翅膀型态的数字图像库。计算机处理器32(图7)还通过主控制系统44与第二存在传感器40、照相机18以及致动器30通信(图6)。此外,计算机处理器32还与主控制系统44通信,主控制系统44控制传送机的速度,同时控制所有操作功能。主控制系统44与照相机18、风扇42以及振动机构46(图6)电子通信,这样主控制系统可以控制前述每个部件的启动和停止。图7示出了前述部件之间进行通信的图解示意图。
使用时,雏鸡14孵出之后,先对它们进行处理,最后将它们移送到第一传送机12上。应当注意的是,可以设置一系列其他传送机、分配器等等(未示出),使用它们将新孵出的雏鸡14移送到传送机12上。但是本申请中不讨论这类设备和物流。
当雏鸡14随第一传送机12前移时,第一存在传感器16检测随第一传送机12前移的雏鸡的存在(图2)。所述存在传感器16与计算机处理器32通信,计算机处理器32启动位于第一传送机12末端、在第一传送机12的路径上方并沿有角度的传送机20设置的照相机18(图3)。照相机18拍摄所述雏鸡的至少一张图像。优选地,照相机18能够摄录雏鸡腹部、腿部、面部特征以及爪部的即时影像。所述一张图像或多张图像被电子传送到计算机处理器32(图7)。计算机处理器32对各图像进行处理并将它们与数据库中相同品种健康和不健康的那些雏鸡图像进行比对。在将数码图像与数字图像库进行比对时,计算机处理器32能检测出拍摄的图像与数据库中的标准图像的任何异常或偏差。若在拍摄的图像中检测出偏差,计算机处理器32将这种偏差记录为需要更密切注意的异常或疾病。
计算机处理器因而将其发现与主控制系统44进行通信(图4),该主控制系统44启动致动器30。这会引起第一有角度的传送机20的近端22转动,并使远端24向下摆动,增大角度θ。在某一角度θ,雏鸡14不再继续待在第一有角度的传送机上,会掉落到第四传送机36(图2)上,进行进一步的人工检查。若雏鸡不健康,则将它从其他健康鸡群中分离出去。实际中,若雏鸡是健康的,则将它送回到鸡群中,进行进一步处理。
雏鸡一旦被运送到第四传送机36上,致动器30(图5)变成反向,使第一有角度的传送机20返回到其伸展位置。这会使得第一有角度的传送机20的远端24随着近端22绕其自身转动而向上摆动,角度θ减小。一旦致动器使第一有角度的传送机20返回到其初始位置,则它可以准备用于接收另一只雏鸡14。通过这种方式,只有健康雏鸡能被允许运送到第三传送机34。
一旦健康雏鸡被运送到第三传送机34上,第二存在传感器40(图6)检测其在第三传送机34上的存在。第二存在传感器40与计算机处理器32以及主控制系统44通信(图7),启动第二有角度的传送机38附近的照相机18、风扇42、闪光灯47以及振动系统46。
在随第三传送机34前移结束时,雏鸡被移动到第二有角度的传送机38上。此时,雏鸡在第二有角度的传送机38上遇到由风扇42形成的从其爪部向上吹到其面部、头部的气流。此外,所述第二有角度的传送机38的表面因振动机构46的启动而振动。向上吹的气流以及振动表面会使雏鸡感到不能保持平衡。为努力保持其平衡,雏鸡开始提起并扇动翅膀。在它这样做时,照相机18拍摄到打开的翅膀型态的图像。闪光灯47的闪光也预期会对雏鸡起到类似的刺激作用。
各图像被发送到计算机处理器32(图7),计算机处理器32处理各图像并将它们与数据库中该品种雏鸡的雄性和雌性翅膀型态图像进行比对。在比对各图像时,计算机能确定比对中的雏鸡性别。若计算机处理器32确定雏鸡为雌性,则允许该雏鸡前进到第五传送机48上,其在这里被装入板条箱中并被运送到养殖场。若确定雏鸡为雄性,计算机处理器32启动致动器30,致动器30收缩并使第二有角度的传送机38转动,使远端20向下摆动,增大角度θ。在某一角度θ,雏鸡14不再继续待在该传送机上,会掉落到替换的传送机50上,进行进一步处理。雏鸡将会按性别分开并分别处理。
一旦雄性雏鸡14被运送到替换平台上,主控制系统44使致动器30停止(图6)。这会使第二有角度的传送机38返回其伸展位置。这会使得第二有角度的传送机38的远端20随着近端18绕其自身转动而向上摆动,角度θ减小。一旦致动器30使第二有角度的传送机38返回到其初始位置,则它可以准备用于接收另一只雏鸡。
因此,显而易见的是,本申请提供的各实施例能充分实现前文所述的目标、目的以及有益效果。显然,很多替换、修改及变型在前文描述的启示下对本领域技术人员来说是显而易见的。因此,本申请旨在涵盖落入所附权利要求的精神和范围内的所有这些替换、修改及变型。

Claims (20)

1.一种用于确定雏鸡性别的系统,包括:
运载雏鸡的移动平台;
使雏鸡打开其翅膀的至少一种刺激;
捕获至少一张雏鸡图像的图像捕获装置;
具有数字图像库的数据库;以及
与所述图像捕获装置和数据库通信的计算机处理器,借此将雏鸡图像与数字图像库进行比对,确定雏鸡性别。
2.根据权利要求1所述的系统,进一步包括与照相机、移动平台、数据库、计算机处理器以及移动平台通信的主控制系统。
3.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述刺激是有角度的传送机带。
4.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述刺激是带振动的传送机带。
5.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述刺激是闪光灯。
6.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述刺激是吹到雏鸡身上的一股气流。
7.根据权利要求1所述的系统,其中所述数字图像库是雏鸡品种特有的。
8.根据权利要求5所述的系统,其中所述数字图像是翅膀型态。
9.一种用于确定日龄雏鸡健康状况的系统,包括:
放置雏鸡的移动平台;
捕获移动平台上的雏鸡至少一张电子图像的图像捕获装置;
包含雏鸡品种中健康和不健康雏鸡的电子图像的数据库;
与所述图像捕获装置和数据库通信的计算机图像处理器,借此将捕获的雏鸡图像发送到计算机图像处理器,在这里将捕获的雏鸡图像与数据库进行比对,若雏鸡图像与数据库中的图像有偏差,将该移动雏鸡从鸡群中分离出去。
10.根据权利要求9所述的系统,其中所述图像是爪部、面部、腿部的图像。
11.根据权利要求9所述的系统,其中所述捕获的图像是腹部的图像。
12.根据权利要求1所述的系统,进一步包括用于改变平台位置的装置。
13.一种用于确定日龄雏鸡健康状况和性别的系统,包括:
放置雏鸡的第一移动平台;
捕获第一移动平台上的雏鸡至少一张数字图像的第一图像捕获装置;
包含雏鸡品种中健康和不健康雏鸡的数字图像的第一数据库;
第二移动平台;
施加到第二移动平台上的至少一种刺激;
捕获第二移动平台上的雏鸡的第二数字图像的第二图像捕获装置;
包含每种性别的雏鸡的翅膀型态的数字图像的第二数据库;
与所述第一和第二图像捕获装置以及所述第一和第二数据库通信的计算机图像处理器,
借此通过计算机图像处理器处理捕获的第一雏鸡图像,在这里将其与第一数据库进行比对并将健康雏鸡与任何不健康的雏鸡分开,所述健康雏鸡被运送至第二移动平台,在这里通过计算机图像处理器处理捕获的健康雏鸡的第二图像并将其与第二数据库进行比对,确定雏鸡性别并将雏鸡按性别分开。
14.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述雏鸡通过位置改变装置被分开。
15.根据权利要求14所述的系统,其中所述位置改变装置包括有角度的传送机,其启动后绕其一个端部转动,这样所述有角度的传送机上的雏鸡不再继续位于其上,掉落到不同的表面上。
16.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述刺激包括但不限于强制气流、闪光灯和施加到第二移动平台上的振动。
17.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述第一图像捕获装置捕获雏鸡腹部、腿部或爪部的图像。
18.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述雏鸡小于一日龄。
19.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述第一或第二移动平台是有角度的。
20.根据权利要求13所述的系统,其中所述第二图像捕获装置捕获的数字图像是雏鸡翅膀。
