技术领域
本发明涉及在权利要求1的前序中定义的纸和在权利要求10的前序中定义的制造纸的方法,其中可用作印刷纸的纸由纤维基源材料形成。
背景技术
从现有技术已知,不同的印刷纸用于印刷以及不同的方法用于制造纸。
在印刷领域中,纸的不同印刷方法是已知的,例如胶印或凹印技术。在已知的方法中,具体而言在HSWO印刷中,在高温下,通常在120-150℃下,干燥印刷油墨,这在印刷油墨的干燥期间提供在印刷和非印刷区之间的高湿气梯度。由此提供的高湿气梯度构成削弱HSWO印刷质量即波纹(waving)的重要因素。存在许多已知的旨在减少波纹的方法。

发明目的

在一个实施方式中,涂层重量为1-14g/m2/面。
优选地,颜料和粘结剂的比例被预先确定和设定。

进一步,本发明基于制造纸的方法,其中可用作印刷纸的纸由纤维基源材料形成。根据本发明,通过如下对纸进行表面处理:将混合物布置,优选涂布,至少在纸表面的一面上,以形成表面层,其中所述混合物包含量为按重量计干燥重量的75-95%的颜料和量为按重量计干燥重量的5-25%的粘结剂,以在纸的表面上提供足够的密度,使得表面层的孔隙率低于0.07ml/g,如水银孔率测定计方法所测定。
纸的制造、表面处理、涂布、压光和/或印刷等可以按本领域本身已知的方式进行。
在涂布纸中,可以应用任何涂布方法,例如膜转移涂布、用喷嘴涂布器的刮刀涂布、用辊涂布器的刮刀涂布、用SDTA(短停留时间涂布(short dwell time application))的刮刀涂布、喷涂或帘幕式涂布或类似方法。
与现有技术相比,根据本发明的纸和方法提供相当大的优势。
根据本发明的纸基本上是致密的。由于根据本发明的纸,高质量的印刷品和印刷的纸中波纹的减少得以提供。最小化湿气梯度降低了干燥中需要的能量的量,这是因为干燥更偏向印刷的纸的表面。进一步,过多地蒸发纸中的水将使纸的印刷质量变差。
本发明提供制造可用作印刷纸的高质量纸的简便且成本有效的方法。进一步,本发明提供工业上可用的、容易的、简便的和用得起的纸制造方法。
具体实施方式
在下述部分中,将借助详细的示例性实施方式,参考附图对本发明进行描述,其中
图1显示通过水银孔率测定计测量的纸涂布层的孔径分布曲线的不平滑测量数据,以及
图2显示平滑的根据图1的孔径分布曲线。
实施例1
在该实施例中,具有大约65gsm的克重并且可用作印刷纸的LWC-型纸由本身已知的机械纸浆形成。该含有木材的原纸被用颜料/粘结剂混合物轻微单层涂布,涂层重量为11g/m2/面。使用的颜料为高岭土和/或滑石。可选地,可将本身已知的任何颜料用作颜料。使用的粘结剂是SB胶乳。
形成两种不同的涂布混合物,其包含a)40份高岭土、60份滑石和14份粘结剂;以及b)100份高岭土和14份粘结剂。使用的高岭土具有这样的粒径分布,其中小于2μm的颗粒部分为85-95%,如Sedigraph5100装置所测量。进一步,涂布混合物包含2.1-2.6份本身已知的添加剂。涂布混合物中的固体含量在按重量计58-60%的范围内。
在涂布后,将纸进行超级压光。
在该试验中,使用Mercury提供的两种水银孔率测定计仪器:Micromeritics Autopore III和Pascal系列140/440,测定纸的涂布层的孔隙率。结果彼此很好地相符。观察到,获得的结果可以很好地重现,而与设备无关。
获得的在根据本发明的纸样品中的涂布层的孔隙率为:a)0.044ml/g和b)0.052ml/g。
使用的参比纸是相应的含有木材的LWC纸,其中涂布混合物包括60份Century高岭土、40份Covercarb75碳酸钙和12份DL966胶乳。进一步,涂布混合物包括1.5份本身已知的添加剂。对该含有木材的原纸进行刮刀涂布,涂层重量为11g/m2/面。将涂布的纸超级压光成65%的光泽水平。参比纸中涂布层的孔隙率通过Mercury提供的水银孔率测定计测定为高于0.07ml/g。
通过水银孔率测定计测量并在图1和2中呈现的孔隙率源自对参比纸的测量。曲线包括从整张纸测量的孔径分布。图2清楚地示出了两个峰。第一个峰,约0.lμm,对应于涂布层的孔隙率,以及第二个峰,约lμm,对应于原纸的孔隙率。从图1的不平滑测量数据计算涂布层的孔隙率。涂布层的孔隙率在图中位于0.02-0.25μm之间。原纸对孔隙率的影响在0.02-0.25μm之间不明显。涂布层的孔隙率测定为在0.02-0.25μm之间的累积孔隙率。
实施例2
在该实施例中,形成了根据本发明的单层涂布LWC-型纸,其可用作印刷纸,以及克重为约65gsm。原纸是含有木材的。用于根据本发明的印刷纸的涂布混合物是这样的混合物,其包括100份片状高岭土颜料、16份SB胶乳作为粘结剂和3.3份添加剂,例如流变改性剂和染料。颜料的粒径分布示于表1中,如通过Sedigraph5100装置所测量。
使用的参比纸是具有65gsm克重的单层涂布的含有木材的LWC纸。涂布层是高岭土和碳酸盐的典型混合物。
使用SDTA涂布头,通过刮刀涂布将纸进行单层涂布。涂层重量为11g/m2/面。在涂布后,将纸进行超级压光,并且选择压光条件以获得65%的光泽水平。

在根据本发明的印刷纸中测定纸的涂布层的孔隙率,为0.053ml/g以及在参比纸中为0.077ml/g,如水银孔率测定计所测量。
使用Albert Frakenthal A101S印刷机,通过HSWO印刷,印刷所述纸。将商业的HSWO印刷颜色用于印刷中。在干燥后,纸卷(web)的退出温度为130℃。
在印刷后,当比较根据本发明的印刷纸和参比纸时,在视觉检测期间,观察到在根据本发明的印刷纸中波纹方面有了相当大的改进。在印刷和干燥后,例如采用AFT方法,通过测定AFT值,可以测量波纹。
纸的制造、涂布、压光和印刷按照本身已知的方式进行,在本上下文中不进行任何更详细的描述。
在所有试验中,基于纸的波纹以及印刷的平整度和清晰度,证明根据本发明的纸是优良的印刷纸。
在试验中,观察到HSWO印刷中波纹是低的,这是由于纸的致密表面结构和在印刷和非印刷表面之间的低湿气梯度。
总之,可以得出结论,根据本发明的方法容易提供质量优良的印刷纸。
根据本发明的纸和方法可应用于不同的实施方式中,以便制造最多不同种类的印刷纸产品。
本发明不仅仅限于上述提到的实施例;相反,在权利要求限定的发明思想范围内,许多变化是可能的。
Claims (12)
1.一种由纤维基源材料形成并且可用作HSWO印刷中的印刷纸的纸,其特征在于,通过将混合物至少布置在纸的表面的一面上以形成表面层,并且将足够的密度布置在所述纸的所述表面上,对所述纸的所述表面进行表面处理,所述表面层由所述混合物形成,所述混合物包含量为按重量计干燥重量的75-95%的颜料和量为按重量计干燥重量的5-25%的粘结剂,并且所述纸的所述表面层的孔隙率低于0.07ml/g,如测定为在0.02-0.25μm之间的累积孔隙率的水银孔率测定计方法所测定,并且所述纸是在所述纸的表面上不具有亲油性质的纸。
2.根据权利要求1所述的纸,其特征在于所述纸的所述表面层的所述孔隙率低于0.06ml/g,如水银孔率测定计方法所测定。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的纸,其特征在于所述颜料选自:高岭土、滑石、碳酸盐、石膏及其混合物。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的纸,其特征在于至少部分使用片状颜料作为所述颜料。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一项所述的纸,其特征在于所述粘结剂选自:淀粉、蛋白质、胶乳、羧甲基纤维素、聚乙烯醇、它们的混合物以及类似物。
6.根据权利要求1至5中任一项所述的纸,其特征在于所述混合物包含量为按重量计干燥重量的82-92%的颜料。
7.根据权利要求1至6中任一项所述的纸,其特征在于所述混合物包含量为按重量计干燥重量的8-17%的粘结剂。
8.根据权利要求1至7中任一项所述的纸,其特征在于所述纸被压光。
9.制造纸的方法,其中可用作HSWO印刷中的印刷纸的纸由纤维基源材料形成,特征在于通过用混合物涂布所述纸的至少一面对所述纸进行表面处理,以便在所述纸的表面上形成表面层和将足够的密度布置在所述纸的表面上,所述混合物包含量为按重量计干燥重量的75-95%的颜料和量为按重量计干燥重量的5-25%的粘结剂,以使所述表面层的孔隙率低于0.07ml/g,如测定为在0.02-0.25μm之间的累积孔隙率的水银孔率测定计方法所测定,并且所述纸是在所述纸的表面上不具有亲油性质的纸。
10.根据权利要求9所述的方法,其特征在于将足够的密度以下述方式布置在所述纸的所述表面层上:使所述表面层的所述孔隙率低于0.06ml/g,如水银孔率测定计方法所测定。
11.根据权利要求9或10所述的方法,其特征在于颜料与粘结剂的比率被控制。
12.根据权利要求9至11中任一项所述的方法,其特征在于所述纸被压光。
