背景技术
机器类型通信(MTC)是涉及不一定需要人类交互的一个或多个实体之间的通信的数据通信形式。针对MTC优化的服务不同于针对人与人通信优化的服务。例如,MTC不同于当前移动网络通信服务,因为它涉及不同的市场情景、数据通信、较低成本和努力、具有(并且在很大程度上)每终端少量业务的潜在非常大量的通信终端。
MTC应用并不都具有相同的特性。结果,并不是每种系统优化都适于每个MTC应用。第三代合作伙伴计划(3GPP)技术规范组服务和系统方面;针对机器类型通信的服务需求3GPP TS 22.368定义了为不同的系统优化可能性提供可以在3GPP TS 22.368下被调用的结构的MTC特征。例如,为特定订户提供的MTC特征在订阅(subscription)中标识,并且可以单独激活MTC特征。

基于IEEE-802.16的M2M类型通信系统的示例性架构(诸如图4中描绘的那个)支持两种类型的M2M类型通信。第一类型的M2M类型通信在一个或多个IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备402和IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型服务器404之间,并且在图4中在408处指示。第二类型的M2M类型通信(在图4中在409处指示)是IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备402和基站BS 403之间的点到多点通信。任何类型的M2M类型通信可以包括与为MTC类型设备提供至少一个系统优化的MTC特征对应的MTC群组ID信息。MTC群组ID可以被配置为针对MTC群组ID的本文所公开的任何示例性实施例。
基于IEEE-802.16的M2M类型通信系统的架构还允许IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备402充当用于IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备402和非IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备407二者的聚合点。非IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备407使用不同的无线电接口,诸如基于IEEE-802.11标准、IEEE-802.15标准等等的接口。此外,还可以支持IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备402和非IEEE-802.16类型M2M类型设备407之间的对等(P2P)连接性(如虚线所示),其中P2P连接性可以通过基于IEEE-802.16的无线电接口或通过诸如基于IEEE-802.11的无线电接口、基于IEEE-802.15的无线电接口等等之类的替换的无线电接口发生。根据本文所公开的主题,充当聚合点的M2M类型设备402对被配置为本文所公开的任何示例性实施例的MTC群组ID进行响应。
图5示出了包括能够利用根据本文所公开的主题的MTC群组ID的一个或多个设备的3GPP LTE网络500的总体架构的示例性框图。图5还一般地示出示例性网络元件和示例性标准化接口。在高级处,网络500包括核心网络(CN)501(也被称为演进分组系统(EPC))和空中接口接入网络E-UTRAN 502。CN 501负责连接到网络的各种用户设备(UE)的总体控制和承载的建立。CN 501可以包括诸如归属代理HA和/或ANDSF服务器或实体之类的功能实体,尽管未显式地描绘。E-UTRAN 502负责所有无线电有关的功能。

在一个示例性配置中,E-UTRAN接入网络502的单个小区提供一个大体上本地化的地理传输点(具有多个天线设备),其提供对一个或多个UE的接入。在另一示例性配置中,E-UTRAN接入网络502的单个小区提供多个大体上地理隔离的传输点(每个具有一个或多个天线设备),其中每个传输点同时提供对一个或多个UE的接入并且其中针对一个小区定义信令比特,使得所有UE共享相同的空间信令维度。对于正常用户业务(与广播相对),在E-UTRAN中不存在集中式控制器;因此E-UTRAN架构被说成是扁平的。eNB通常通过已知为“X2”的接口与彼此互连,并且通过S1接口互连到EPC。更特别地,eNB通过S1-MME接口连接到MME 504并且通过S1-U接口连接到SGW 506。在eNB与UE之间运行的协议一般被称为“AS协议”。各种接口的细节是众所周知的并且在本文中不作描述。
eNB 510主控(host)物理(PHY)、媒体接入控制(MAC)、无线电链路控制(RLC)和分组数据控制协议(PDCP)层,这些层在图5中未示出,并且包括用户平面报头压缩和加密的功能。eNB 510还提供对应于控制平面的无线电资源控制(RRC)功能,并且执行许多功能,包括无线电资源管理、准入控制、调度、协商上行链路(UL)QoS的实施、小区信息广播、用户和控制平面数据的加密/解密以及DL/UL用户平面分组报头的压缩/解压缩。
eNB 510中的RRC层涵盖与无线电承载有关的所有功能,诸如无线电承载控制、无线电准入控制、无线电移动性控制、在上行链路和下行链路二者中对UE的调度和资源动态分配、用于无线电接口的高效使用的报头压缩、通过无线电接口发送的所有数据的安全性以及到EPC的连接性。RRC层基于UE 511发送的邻小区测量做出切换决策,生成对UE 511的无线寻呼,广播系统信息,控制UE测量报告(诸如信道质量信息(CQI)报告的周期性),并且向活动UE 511分配小区级临时标识符。RRC层还执行在切换期间从源eNB到目标eNB的UE上下文的传递,并且为RRC消息提供完整性保护。此外,RRC层负责无线电承载的建立和维护。
UE 511中的MTC应用与外部网络中的MTC应用之间的端到端通信使用由3GPP系统提供的服务并且可选地使用由服务能力服务器(SCS)513提供的服务。SCS是连接到3GPP网络以与用于MTC的UE和归属公共陆地移动网络(HPLMN)中的MTC-IWF进行通信的实体。SCS提供能力以供可以由UE 511主控的一个或多个MTC应用使用。一个或多个对应的MTC应用可以由一个或多个应用服务器(AS)512主控。应用服务器512利用SCS 513以用于附加的增值(value-added)服务,其可以由第三方服务提供商提供。3GPP系统提供包括由(但不限于)MTC推动的各种架构增强在内的传输和通信服务,诸如控制平面设备触发。
在UE 511上主控的MTC应用和在AS 512上主控的MTC应用之间的MTC业务可以是直接的、间接的或直接与间接业务的混合。对于直接业务,AS 512直接连接到运营商网络以便在不使用SCS 513的情况下执行与UE 512的直接用户平面通信。对于间接业务,AS 512通过SCS 513的服务间接连接到运营商网络以便执行与UE 511的间接用户平面通信和利用附加的增值服务,诸如控制平面设备触发。在一个示例性实施例中,SCS 513是MTC服务提供商控制的,因为SCS 513包括运营商域外部的实体并且到运营商域的接口是外部接口。在可替换的示例性实施例中,SCS 513是3GPP网络运营商控制的SCS。也就是说,SCS 513包括运营商域内的实体,并且接口是到公共陆地移动网络(PLMN)的内部接口。对于混合业务,AS 512同时使用直接和间接业务二者以便直接连接到运营商网络以在还使用SCS 513的同时执行与UE 511的直接用户平面通信。从3GPP网络的角度来看,来自AS 512的直接用户平面通信和来自SCS 513的任何增值控制平面有关的通信是独立的并且与彼此没有相关性,即便它们可以服务由AS 512主控的相同MTC应用。因为不同的业务类型不是互斥的,并且可以是互补的,所以对于3GPP运营商而言将不同的业务类型组合以用于不同的应用是可能的,这可以包括与相同PLMN通信的MTC服务提供商和3GPP网络运营商控制的SCS二者的组合。在其中UE 511是漫游类型设备的场景中,机器类型通信-互通功能(MTC-IWF)514与HSS 505和运营商网络内的短消息服务-服务中心(SMS-SC)(未示出)连接并且与拜访(visited)网络中的服务SGSN 503、MME 504和MSC连接。
图6和7分别描绘了基于3GPP类型无线电接入网络标准并且能够利用根据本文所公开的主题的MTC群组ID的在UE与eNodeB之间的示例性无线电接口协议结构。更具体地,图6描绘了无线电协议控制平面的单独的层,并且图7描绘了无线电协议用户平面的单独的层。图6和7的协议层可以基于通信系统中广泛已知的OSI参考模型的下三层而分类成L1层(第一层)、L2层(第二层)和L3层(第三层)。
作为第一层(LI)的物理(PHY)层使用物理信道来提供对上层的信息传递服务。物理层通过传输信道连接到位于物理层之上的媒体接入控制(MAC)层。数据通过传输信道在MAC层与PHY层之间传递。传输信道根据信道是否被共享而被分类成专用传输信道和公共传输信道。不同物理层之间(特别是发射器和接收器的相应物理层之间)的数据传递通过物理信道来执行。
在第二层(L2层)中存在多个层。例如,MAC层将各种逻辑信道映射到各种传输信道,并且执行逻辑信道复用以用于将各种逻辑信道映射到一个传输信道。MAC层通过逻辑信道连接到充当上层的无线电链路控制(RLC)层。逻辑信道可以根据传输信息的类别而被分类成用于传输控制平面的信息的控制信道以及用于传输用户平面的信息的业务信道。
第二层(L2)的RLC层对从上层接收的数据执行分段和级联,并且将数据的大小调整为适合于下层将数据传输到无线电间隔。为了保证各个无线电承载(RB)所请求的各种服务质量(QoS),提供三种操作模式,即,透明模式(TM)、非确认模式(UM)和确认模式(AM)。特别地,AM RLC使用自动重复和请求(ARQ)功能来执行重传功能,以便实现可靠的数据传输。
第二层(L2)的分组数据汇聚协议(PDCP)层执行报头压缩功能,以减小具有相对较大并且不必要的控制信息的IP分组报头的大小,以便在具有窄带宽的无线电间隔中高效地传输IP分组,诸如IPv4或IPv6分组。结果,只有数据的报头部分所需的信息才可以被传输,使得无线电间隔的传输效率可以增加。此外,在基于LTE的系统中,PDCP层执行安全性功能,该功能包括用于防止第三方窃听数据的加密功能以及用于防止第三方处理数据的完整性保护功能。
位于第三层(L3)顶部的无线电资源控制(RRC)层仅在控制平面中定义,并且负责控制与无线电承载(RB)的配置、重新配置和释放相关联的逻辑、传输和物理信道。RB是第一层和第二层(LI和L2)提供用于UE与UTRAN之间的数据通信的逻辑路径。一般来说,无线电承载(RB)配置意味着,提供特定服务所需的无线电协议层以及信道特性被定义,并且其详细参数和操作方法被配置。无线电承载(RB)被分类成信令RB(SRB)和数据RB(DRB)。SRB用作C平面中的RRC消息的传输通道,并且DRB用作U平面中的用户数据的传输通道。
用于将数据从网络传输到UE的下行链路传输信道可以分类成用于传输系统信息的广播信道(BCH)以及用于传输用户业务或控制消息的下行链路共享信道(SCH)。下行链路多播或广播服务的业务或控制消息可以通过下行链路SCH来传输,并且也可以通过下行链路多播信道(MCH)来传输。用于数据从UE到网络的传输的上行链路传输信道包括用于初始控制消息的传输的随机接入信道(RACH)以及用于用户业务或控制消息的传输的上行链路SCH。

环境光传感器834可以用来检测环境光的量,其中信息处理系统800进行操作例如以控制显示器830的亮度或对比度值作为环境光传感器834所检测的环境光的强度的函数。一个或多个摄像机836可以用来捕获图像,所述图像由应用处理器810来处理和/或至少暂时存储在NAND闪存816中。此外,应用处理器可以耦合到陀螺仪838、加速度计840、磁强计842、音频编码器/解码器(编解码器)844和/或全球定位系统(GPS)控制器846,所述GPS控制器846耦合到适当GPS天线848,用于各种环境属性的检测,包括信息处理系统800的位置、移动和/或方位。可替换地,控制器846可以包括全球导航卫星系统(GNSS)控制器。音频编解码器844可以耦合到一个或多个音频端口850,以经由内部设备和/或经由借由音频端口850(例如借由耳机和麦克风插孔)耦合到信息处理系统的外部设备来提供麦克风输入和扬声器输出。此外,应用处理器810可以耦合到一个或多个输入/输出(I/O)收发器852以耦合到一个或多个I/O端口854,诸如通用串行总线(USB)端口、高清晰度多媒体接口(HDMI)端口、串行端口等。此外,I/O收发器852中的一个或多个可以耦合到用于可选的可移除存储器(诸如安全数字(SD)卡或者订户身份模块(SIM)卡)的一个或多个存储器插槽856,不过所要求保护的主题的范围在这些方面不受限。

Claims (30)

接收器,其能够从无线网络的至少一个节点接收信号,所述信号包含包括机器类型通信(MTC)群组ID信息的MTC,所述MTC群组ID信息对应于为无线设备提供至少一个系统优化的MTC特征;以及
处理器,其耦合到接收器并且能够确定包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID是否对应于无线设备对其而言是成员的MTC特征。
2.根据权利要求1的无线设备,还包括存储与无线对其而言是成员的至少一个MTC特征对应的MTC群组ID信息的存储器,并且
其中所述处理器能够确定包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息是否对应于存储在存储器中的MTC群组ID信息。
3.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括国际移动订户身份(IMSI)的移动订阅标识(MSIN)字段的部分。
4.根据权利要求3的无线设备,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于15位。
5.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括添加到国际移动订户身份(IMSI)的附加位。
6.根据权利要求5的无线设备,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于20位。
7.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括单独的MTC群组消息的部分。
8.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中MTC群组ID被布置成作为网络接入标识符(NAI)、会话发起协议统一资源标识符(SIP URI)或完全合格域名(FQDN)的部分。
9.根据权利要求1的无线设备,还包括能够从用户或触控笔的触摸接收输入信息的触摸屏显示器。
10.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中所述无线设备包括蜂窝电话、智能电话、智能类型设备或平板类型设备。
11.根据权利要求1的无线设备,其中所述无线网络包括基于以下各项的网络:基于蓝牙的标准、基于IEEE 802.11的标准、基于IEEE 802.16的标准、基于IEEE 802.18的无线网络标准、基于第三代合作伙伴计划长期演进(3GPP LTE)的无线网络标准、基于3GPP2空中接口演进(3GPP2 AIE)的无线网络标准、基于UMTS协议无线网络、基于CDMA2000协议无线网络、基于GSM协议无线网络、基于蜂窝数字分组数据(基于CDPD)协议无线网络、基于Mobitex协议无线网络、基于近场通信(基于NFC)的链路、基于WiGig的网络,或基于ZigBee的网络或其组合。
12.一种方法,包括:

确定包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID是否对应于无线设备对其而言是成员的MTC特征;以及
如果包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID对应于无线设备对其而言是成员的MTC特征,则对与所述无线设备对其而言是成员的MTC特征有关的接收信号中包含的附加信息进行响应,
否则,忽略接收信号。
13.根据权利要求12的方法,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括国际移动订户身份(IMSI)的移动订阅标识(MSIN)字段的部分。
14.根据权利要求13的方法,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于15位。
15.根据权利要求12的方法,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括添加到国际移动订户身份(IMSI)的附加位。
16.根据权利要求15的方法,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于20位。
17.根据权利要求12的方法,其中包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息包括单独的MTC群组消息的部分。

19.根据权利要求12的方法,还包括从用户或触控笔的触摸通过触摸屏显示器接收输入信息。
20.根据权利要求12的方法,其中所述接收信号由包括蜂窝电话、智能电话、智能类型设备或平板类型设备的无线设备接收。

22.一种无线设备,包括:

所述处理器能够确定包含在接收信号中的MTC群组ID信息是否对应于存储在存储器中的MTC群组ID信息。
23.根据权利要求22的无线设备,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于15位。
24.根据权利要求22的无线设备,其中在含有MTC群组ID信息的IMSI中包含的总位数为小于等于20位。
