【背景技术】

【具体实施方式】
在图1和图2中显示了根据本公开内容的教导而大体构造的书写器具。该书写器具包括收容密封圆柱3的本体1。书写部件8部分地设置在密封圆柱3内。书写部件8包括书写顶端8c,该书写顶端8c可移动穿过密封圆柱3中的开口(图1图示出了处于收缩位置的书写器具,而图2图示出了处于伸展位置的书写器具)。气孔8a设置在本体1中,从而容许在密封圆柱内的压力均等。当书写顶端8c收缩时,密封盖4关闭密封圆柱3的开口端。比如绳状物的连接装置15将书写部件8连接到密封盖4。连接装置15可以是柔性或半刚性的。半刚性的连接装置可包括以可预料的方式定位并导向弯曲运动的几何特征。当书写部件8收缩进密封圆柱3中时,连接装置15在拉力下将密封盖4拉入关闭位置中,从而防止书写顶端8c干涸。

现有技术密封盖4常包括了形成在密封盖4的外(或顶部)表面中的沟槽32(图4)。沟槽32将连接装置15横跨密封盖4定位并使其稳定,并且防止连接装置15从密封盖4滑落,但没有相对于密封盖4提升连接装置15。沟槽32包括被定向在大致平行于连接装置15横跨密封盖4的方向上的特征。
通常,密封盖4在关闭位置上经受到内部压力,部分由于在密封圆柱3内的溶剂蒸气压。当密封盖4处于关闭位置时,来自连接装置15的力抵消该内部压力,从而在密封盖4和密封圆柱3之间形成密封。在密封盖4和密封圆柱3之间的密封防止或减少书写系统内过早的溶剂损失,并由此通过充分密封该组件而减轻书写器具的干涸。
我们已注意到,现有技术密封盖4,比如图4中所示的密封盖4,通常在关闭位置开始变形,部分由于密封盖4的直径、用来形成密封盖4的材料、由连接装置15施加到密封盖4上的力、和/或从密封圆柱3内部对密封盖4施加的内部压力。这样的密封盖变形能够在密封盖4和密封圆柱3之间的界面中产生泄漏,并由此致使书写顶端的过早干涸(尽管在密封盖4和密封圆柱3之间形成密封)。
现在转向图5,显示了处于关闭位置的另一现有技术密封盖4。我们已注意到,由于密封盖4随着时间的推移发生的弯曲或弓曲(bow),图4和图5中所示的现有技术密封盖4经历了位移。这些位移被认为是部分由于由连接装置15施加到密封盖4的顶部的负荷以及施加到密封盖4的底部的内部溶剂蒸气压所致。尽管无意受到理论束缚,人们认为连接装置15的线性性质常致使密封盖4在连接装置15附近的区域向下弓曲或变形而进入密封圆柱3中(下文称为“负位移”)。类似地,人们认为在连接装置15远侧的区域(即密封盖4的前部34),密封盖4向上偏移而远离密封圆柱3(下文称为“正位移”)。结果,现有技术密封盖4常在密封盖4的前部34附近发生泄漏,由此而致使书写顶端的过早干涸。当密封盖4和密封圆柱3制作得较大以容纳较大的书写尖端(writing point)和/或其它相对较大尺寸的器具时,这个问题尤其尖锐。
如图6A和图6B所示,用于根据本公开内容的教导而构建的可伸缩书写器具的盖子104包括第一(上)表面150、第二(下)表面152和铰链128,铰链128可以是整体模制的活动铰链、或是如美国专利申请No.11/654,959(通过引用特此将其并入本文中)中所描述的双构件活动铰链。铰链128将盖子104连接到密封圆柱103上。密封圆柱103可以是单构件密封圆柱,或是双构件密封圆柱,比如在美国专利申请No.11/654,959中所描述的密封圆柱。连接装置(未示出)横跨盖子104的第一表面150延伸。连接装置将盖子104连接到促动或移动机构(未示出)。促动机构在促动后即选择性地使书写顶端向外伸展穿过密封圆柱103中的开口,并使书写顶端向内收缩进入密封圆柱103中。备选地,或除前述外,促动机构能够将盖子104从打开位置促动到关闭位置。盖子104还包括导力部件,比如一对肋条160。在图6A和图6B的实施例中,肋条160互相平行。然而,不必将肋条160定向成互相平行。该对肋条160将连接装置提升到第一表面150上方,并且使由连接装置产生的力在第一表面150上方或穿过第一表面150的一部分进行分配。该对肋条160的额外优点在于,该对肋条160可有效地增加盖子104的结构刚度。这样,通过使连接装置的负荷朝向盖子104的中心分配并加固盖子104,该对肋条160减少了处于关闭位置的盖子104的正偏移和负偏移。
该对肋条160可由塑料形成并且可以通过任何已知方式(比如粘合剂、紧固件、整体模制等)附接到第一表面150上。尽管肋条160不必互相平行,通常还是将肋条160定向在大致互相平行的方向上,例如,在平行于在铰链128和盖子104的前部134之间的连线的方向上。
该对肋条160中的每一个可包括角板(gusset)162(图6C),通常被定向成大致与肋条160垂直以使每个肋条160稳定并被加固在第一表面150上。连接装置保持特征(比如块体和通道164)可以设置在肋条160之间以将连接装置置于中心并保持该连接装置。如果需要的话,连接装置保持特征164可以由不同于盖子104和肋条160的材料形成。例如,连接装置保持特征可以由弹性体形成,因为来自连接装置的力不必通过连接装置保持特征164传递至盖子104。相反地,肋条160基本上引导所有的力并因此实质上成为唯一的导力部件。在该实施例中,每个肋条160的顶部表面在高度上被定位在连接装置保持特征164与第一盖子表面150之间;例如,每个肋条160的顶部表面可被定位在与连接装置保持特征164中的通道、沟槽或其它保持元件的底部大致相同的高度。当将连接装置定位成以最大化肋条160的导力能力的方式接触肋条160时,连接装置保持特征164防止连接装置横跨肋条160的顶部表面的侧向移动。
阀密封环170可以设置在密封圆柱103上,例如,在靠近密封圆柱103的开口的内部环形表面上。当盖子104处于关闭位置时,阀密封环170接触盖子104的第二表面152(其在第一表面150的对面),并因此能够帮助密封该组件。阀密封环170可以由与密封圆柱103相同的材料形成(例如,单次模制工艺),或者阀密封环170可以由与密封圆柱103不同的材料形成(例如,如在美国专利申请No.11/654,959中所描述的二次模制工艺)。
通过将来自连接装置的力向盖子104的中心引导,被认为导力件160致使盖子104以可预料的方式变形。例如,当盖子104变形时,该变形在负方向上(即进入阀圆柱中)从中心向外辐射。此外,最大的负变形一般发生在盖子104的中心附近,并且负变形朝盖子104的外圆周呈指数下降。这样,阀密封环170在其整个圆周上保持在正压下,尤其在盖子104的前部134附近的区域。结果,当盖子104处于关闭位置时,通过横跨整个阀密封环170保持正压,盖子104减少了墨水溶剂的过早挥发。
肋条160的截面或宽度与盖子104的厚度相比是相对较小的。这样,比如缩痕或表面瑕疵的注塑缺陷,由于横跨相对较小铰链活门的大注入压降而被显著降低。结果,将会降低盖子104与阀密封环170之间密封完整性的盖子104上的缺陷被大为降低。
图7中显示了根据本公开内容的教导而构造和布置的盖子204的第二备选实施例。在第二实施例中,导力装置采取块体260的形式。连接装置215延伸跨过盖子204的第一表面250和块体260。这样,块体260将连接装置215提升到盖子204的第一表面250上方,并将来自连接装置215的力引导通过盖子204且基本在阀密封环170(图6B)的直径内部。块体260可选地可包括沟槽、通道、或者一个或多个类似的保持特征(未示出)以帮助将连接装置215保持在其中。如在其它实施例中一样,导力部件260将连接装置提升到第一表面250的至少一部分的上方,并且将连接装置215横向设置到铰链228上用于打开/关闭阀组件(未示出)。块体260可以由塑料或任何其它适合的材料形成。块体260可以通过比如粘合剂、紧固件、整体模制(例如,单次或二次模制工艺)等任何已知方式附接到第一表面250上。
图8中显示了盖子304的第三备选实施例。在第三实施例中,桥接件380设置在第一盖子表面350上的两个肋条360之间。桥接件380可选地可包括比如沟槽或通道382的保持特征用于将连接装置315横跨盖子表面350定位并使其稳定,从而将连接装置315横跨盖子304保持在期望的方向上。
在又一实施例中,导力件可以设置成单个被提升的结构,其被大致定位在盖子的中心,从而形成塔状体。该塔状体集中地将来自连接部件的力横跨盖子的顶部进行分配,并且基本上分配在密封直径内。
在再一实施例中,导力部件可附接到连接部件上,如在对面附接到盖子上。当将连接部件定位在盖子的顶部上以便导力部件大致处于其中心时,导力部件将会接触盖子的顶部,从而使来自传递部件的力横跨盖子的顶部进行分配,并且基本上分配在密封直径内。
在每个以上实施例中,被认为导力部件将来自连接部件的力朝盖子的中心进行重新引导,从而致使盖子成杯状、或从盖子的中心向内偏移。该偏移致使力横跨密封圆柱上的阀密封环的更均匀分配。此外,导致盖子在中心偏移将防止不对称边缘偏移,该不对称边缘偏移能导致泄漏从而危害可伸缩标记器的墨水系统。
可将导力件用在实际上任何具有盖子的器具上。例如,如本领域技术人员将认识到的一样,可将具有如上所述的导力件的阀门用在各种可伸缩的书写器具中,比如荧光笔、标记器、毡尖笔、圆珠笔等。除书写器具外,导力件也适用于多种其它可伸缩器具包括漆刷涂抹器、修改流体涂抹器、化妆品涂抹器(比如指甲油涂抹器和口红涂抹器)、香水涂抹器、温度计、pH检测器、刀具、流体取样设备和其它器具。改进的阀门特别有用于书写器具,比如具有较大书写尖端的可伸缩标记器,因为这样的器具极大地受益于通过本文描述的导力件构件实现的改进的密封。在一个方面,书写器具为永久性标记器。在另一个方面,书写器具为干擦标记器。

Claims (21)
1.一种用于器具的阀门,其包括:
具有第一和第二表面的盖子;
用于将所述盖子与促动机构连接的连接装置,所述连接装置适于将来自所述促动机构的力传递至第一盖子表面;以及
附接到所述第一盖子表面上的导力部件,所述导力部件防止所述连接装置在所述第一盖子表面的至少一部分上方接触所述第一盖子表面,并且使来自所述连接装置的力横跨所述第一盖子表面的一部分进行分配。

具有笔尖的书写部件,所述书写部件设置在书写器具本体中;
密封圆柱,其设置在所述书写器具本体内,所述密封圆柱包围所述书写部件的包括所述笔尖的一部分,所述密封圆柱具有开口端;
盖子,其用于选择性地密封所述密封圆柱的所述开口端;
移动机构,其设置在所述书写器具本体和所述书写部件之间,所述移动机构适于使所述书写部件在收缩位置和伸展位置之间移动,在所述收缩位置中所述笔尖设置在所述密封圆柱内,在所述伸展位置中所述笔尖穿过所述密封圆柱的所述开口端而突出到所述密封圆柱外;以及
连接装置,其将所述盖子连接到所述移动机构上,所述连接装置使由所述移动机构产生的力横跨所述盖子的一侧进行分配,从而将所述盖子偏置到关闭位置,在所述关闭位置中所述盖子密封所述密封圆柱的所述开口端,
其中,所述盖子包括被定位在所述盖子和所述连接装置之间的一对肋条,从而将所述连接装置的一部分提升到在所述密封圆柱远侧的盖子表面的上方,所述一对肋条使来自所述连接装置的力横跨所述盖子表面的、在所述密封圆柱远侧的一部分进行分配,从而在所述盖子处于所述关闭位置中时减少盖子偏移并因此减少墨水挥发。
