Abstract

"processos para reduzir os níveis de solventes orgânicos e para fabricar um novo hidrato cristalino, e, composto". a presente invenção diz respeito a um processo para reduzir os níveis de solventes orgânicos a níveis farmaceuticamente aceitáveis em sólidos de carbapenem cristalinos termicamente instáveis, representados pela fórmula i ou um sal destes, em que r~ 1~ e r~ 2~, são os mesmos ou diferentes e são selecionados de h,alquila, arila e heteroarila, compreendendo a lavagem de um sólido de carbapenem contendo solvente orgânico com um solvente orgânico contendo água; e usando-se vácuo e/ou gás inerte (hidratado ou seco) em temperatura baixa para produzir um composto da fórmula i contendo níveis farmaceuticamente aceitáveis de solventes orgânicos, em que o teor de água do sólido de carbapenem cristalino, corrigido quanto ao solventes orgânicos, é mantido de cerca de 13% a cerca de 25% durante o processo.
