ORGANISMOS GENETICAMENTE MODIFICADOS PARA A PRODUÇÃO DE LIPÍDIOS. A presente invenção refere-se a um organismo não mamífero geneticamente modificado isolado, em que a atividade da acil-CoA:esteroi aciltransferase/esterol O-aciltransferase (EC 2.3.1.26) e/ou diaciiglicerol acil- transferase/diacilglicero1 O-aciltranferase (EC 2.3.1.20) e/ou lecitina coleste- rol acil transferase/fosfolipídio: diacilglicerol aciltransferase (EC 2.3.1.158) e/ou acil CoA-álcoo! cera aciltransferase (EC 2.3.1.75) é reduzida ou suprimida em comparação com um organismo do tipo selvagem correspondente, métodos de uso de tal organismo, veículos de transporte para fazer tal organismo e métodos para a produção de tal organismo.
