Abstract

Настоящее изобретение касается модифицированных ферментов - стерол-ацилтрансфераз с улучшенной активностью и/или специфичностью в отношении ацилирования предшественника витамина D3, 7-дегидрохолестерина (7-DHC), для применения при биотехнологическом получении витамина D3. Кроме того, изобретение касается дрожжевых штаммов, экспрессирующих данные модифицированные ферменты, и их применения в способе получения витамина D3 или его производных и/или метаболитов.
