Abstract

VEìCULO DE REGISTRO PARA ARMAZENAGEM DE INFORMAçãO DO TIPO ENCADEADA E MéTODO DE PROCESSAMENTO DE áREA DEFEITUOSA UTILIZANDO O MESMO Veículo de registro armazenando informação de tipo encadeado e um método de processamento de uma área defeituosa no veículo. O veículo de registro armazena informação indicando que o encadeamento é aplicado imediatamente após a área defeituosa, distinguindo um tipo de encadeamento que ocorre em um modo de registro incremental genérico a partir de um tipo encadeado que ocorre após a área defeituosa. As áreas defeituosas são detectadas e registradas em uma área pré-determinada [área de dado de gerenciamento de registro (RMD) ] antes do dado de usuário ser registrado ou enquanto o dado de usuário está sendo registrado no veículo de registro apresentando uma pluralidade de unidades de registro básico contínuas, tal como um disco digital versátil que pode ser re-escrito (DVD-RW) aonde o registro e reprodução pode ser feito de forma repetida. O encadeamento não é somente aplicado em um modo de registro incremental ou em um modo de registro de sobregravação restrito, mas o encadeamento é aplicado também junto a uma área imediatamente após a área defeituosa que é registrada na lista de defeitos, aumentando a confiabilidade do dado de usuário. Adicionalmente, um sinal de teste tal como dado, um padrão cambaleante de sulco, ou uma marca de registro que apresente um padrão de teste que funcione conforme o dado encadeado seja registado em avanço em um bloco imediatamente após a área defeituosa detectada durante a certificação. Caso o sinal de teste seja detectado após a área defeituosa, o novo dado de usuário é registrado imediatamente após um número pré-determinado de blocos de código de correção de erro (ECC) em seguida a área defeituosa sem a utilização do encadeamento, reduzindo o tempo para registro do dado encadeado, o que é vantajoso para registro em tempo real.
