Abstract

En diversas formas de realización, la presente describe un sistema de muestreo de semillas automatizado que incluye una estación de fresado para retirar, al menos, una porción de la cubierta seminal de la semilla y una estación de muestreo para extraer una muestra de material de semilla de la semilla a la que se le quitó la cubierta seminal. Un sistema de transporte de semillas lleva la semilla desde la estación de fresado a la de muestreo y un subsistema de depósito de semillas lleva la semilla desde el subsistema de transporte a una cavidad seleccionada en una bandeja de semillas después de haber efectuado el muestreo.Reivindicación 1: Un método automatizado para remover una muestra de tejido de semillas individuales caracterizado porque comprende los pasos de: aislar semillas individuales de una pluralidad de semillas; orientar las semillas individuales usando un accionador, configurado el accionador para posicionar la semillas en una orientación deseada; y remover una muestra de tejido de al menos una de las semillas orientadas.
