Abstract

Farmaceutski preparat u formi tableta ili kapsula obezbedjuje kombinaciju vremenske i prostorne kontrole isporuke leka pacijentu radi efektivnih terapeutskih rezultata. Farmaceutski preparat sadrzi lek, komponentu koja generise gas, agens bubrenja, agens, viskoznosti i prema potrebi polimer za formiranje gela. Agens bubrenja pripada klasi jedinjenja poznatih kao superdezintegranti (npr. unakrsno-vezani polivinilpirolidon ili natrijum karboksimetilceluloza). Agens viskoznosti inicijalno, i polimer za formiranje gela, prema tome, formiraju hidratisani matriks gel koji zarobljava gas uzrokujuci da tablete ili kapsule plivaju tako da ostaju u zelucu ili gornjem delu malog intestinuma (prostorna kontrola). U isto vreme hidratisani matriks gel kreira krivudavi difuzni put za lek sto rezultira ravnomernim oslobadjanjem leka (vremenska kontrola). Preferirana jednom dnevno ciprofloksacin formulacija sadrzi 69,9% ciprofloksacin baze, 0.34% natrijum alginata, 1.03% ksantan gume, 13.7 natrijum bikarbonata, 12.1 unakrsno-vezanog polivinilpirolidona i prema potrebi druge farmaceutske ekscipijente, formulacija je u formi obavijene ili neobavijene tablete ili kapsule.
