Abstract
Description
本発明は、上述した事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、エンジンに圧力センサを設けた場合でも、周辺のエンジン関連部材に干渉せず、製造工程を効率化する圧力センサの配置構造の鞍乗型車両の内燃機関を提供することを目的とする。
本発明は、シリンダヘッド(35b)の上下面に吸気ポート(95)と排気ポート(101)が設けられ、前記シリンダヘッド(35b)の一方側の側面(35b0)にエンジン関連部材(70)が配置される鞍乗型車両の内燃機関において、前記シリンダヘッド(35b)の他方側の側面(35b1)に点火プラグ(133)と燃焼室(92)の圧力を検知する圧力センサ(144)が配置され、前記点火プラグ(133)と、前記圧力センサ(144)の検出部(144b)が配置される孔(142,241)とは、同一方向の軸方向上に設けられることを特徴とする。
また、上記発明において、酸素センサのハーネスと前記圧力センサのハーネスは束ねられ、前記内燃機関に取り付けられても良い。この構成によれば、ハーネスを簡素化できる。
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態に係る鞍乗型車両の左側面図である。なお、図1では、左右一対で設けられるものは、左側のものだけが図示されている。
鞍乗型車両1は、シート10に着座した乗員が足を載せる低床のステップフロア11を有するスクータ型の自動二輪車である。
車体フレーム12の前方に前輪2を有し、駆動輪である後輪3は、車両後部に配置されるユニットスイングエンジン13に軸支されている。
ユニットスイングエンジン13は、内燃機関である単気筒のエンジン30と後輪3を支持するアーム部31とが一体化されて構成されている。エンジン30は、車幅方向に延びるクランクシャフト33(図1参照)を収容するクランクケース34と、クランクケース34の前面部から前方へ延びるシリンダ35とを備える。
シリンダ35は、クランクケース34側から順に、シリンダブロック35a、シリンダヘッド35b及びヘッドカバー35cを備える。シリンダ35のシリンダボアの軸線35dは、やや前上がりの姿勢で略水平に延びる。
ピボット軸39には、リンク機構38の連結片38b,38bの前端部が軸支され、連結片38b,38bの後端部には、車幅方向に延在する棒状のリンクステー部38aが支持されている。リンクステー部38aは、ユニットスイングエンジン13のクランクケース34の上部に固定されている。リンクステー部38aと、連結片38b,38bとは、リンク機構38を構成する。
エアクリーナボックス40は、アーム部31に支持され、アーム部31の上方に位置する。スロットルボディ(不図示)は、エアクリーナボックス40の前方且つユニットスイングエンジン13の上方に配置され、その下流端がシリンダヘッド35bの上部の吸気ポート95に接続される。
ウォータポンプ71では、カムシャフト63に支持されたインペラ(不図示)が回転することにより冷却水が圧送される。冷却水は、ホース73~76を介して、ラジエター72とエンジン30との間を循環する。
上述したように、シリンダヘッド35bの右側面(図3では不図示)には、ウォータポンプ71を含む冷却装置70が配置されるのに対し、シリンダヘッド35bの左側面には、小さいスペースSが設けられている。本実施の形態では、このスペースSに露出するシリンダヘッド35bの左側面に、点火プラグ133と、圧力センサ144が取り付けられている。点火プラグ133と圧力センサ144は、図4に示すように、それぞれの軸線方向が平行になるように配置されており、同一方向の軸方向上にそれぞれ配置されている。
シリンダブロック35aおよびシリンダヘッド35bは、前後方向に延びるスタッドボルト81を介してクランクケース34に固定されている。ヘッドカバー35cは、ボルト82でシリンダヘッド35bに固定されている。ヘッドカバー35cとシリンダヘッド35bとの間には、図示しない動弁室が設けられており、カムシャフト63、吸気弁(不図示)と、排気弁(不図示)などが配置されている。
シリンダブロック35aには、シリンダボア90が形成され、シリンダボア90の前方には、燃焼室92が構成されている。
スペースSには、プラグ台座面131が設けられ、プラグ台座面131は、シリンダヘッド35bの側面35b1に円形状に凹んで形成されている。プラグ台座面131の中心には、プラグ台座面131から燃焼室92に貫通する軸孔状のプラグ支持孔132が形成されている。プラグ支持孔132は前後方向に対してやや傾斜し、前後方向に沿って伸びている。プラグ支持孔132には軸状の点火プラグ133が固定支持される。点火プラグ133のガスケット133bは、プラグ台座面131に接触してプラグ支持孔132を密閉する。
センサ支持孔142は、外側の大径孔142aと、大径孔142aよりも内側の小径孔142bと、を有する。センサ支持孔142には、圧力センサ144が挿入して配置される。圧力センサ144は圧電式のセンサで構成されている。
圧力センサ144は、検出部144bが小径孔142bの内部に配置され、燃焼室92に届かない状態で配置される。本体部144aは、大径孔142aの内壁面に隙間を空けた状態で固定される。圧力センサ144は、圧力センサ144の外周に設けられたネジ部144dによりセンサ支持孔142に固定される。検出部144bで検出された圧力は、本体部144aの回路部によって電気信号に変換され、端子部144cを介してエンジン30または車両の制御部に出力される。
センサ支持孔142は、ウォータジャケット110に隣接して形成されており、センサ支持孔142とプラグ支持孔132の間の壁146の厚みに比べて、ウォータジャケット110とセンサ支持孔142の間の壁147の厚みが薄くなっている。圧力センサ144は冷却水で冷却され易くなっている。
プラグキャップ151はL字状に形成されており、点火プラグ133に接続されるキャップ本体151aと、延長部151bとを有している。延長部151bにはハイテンションケーブル154が接続されている。ハイテンションケーブル154は、圧力センサ144と反対側に延出し、ステー155から前側下方に延伸されたクランプ部材156に固定されシリンダヘッド35bの下部を迂回するようにして、イグニッションコイル157に接続される。
イグニッションコイル157は、ステー155に固定されている。ハイテンションケーブル154は、圧力センサ144と反対側に延出し、圧力センサ144を回避して配線されている。そのために、圧力センサ144には、ハイテンションケーブル154によるノイズの影響が生じ難い。
酸素センサ150には、酸素センサのハーネス161が接続される。酸素センサのハーネス161は、ステー155のクランプ部162に固定され、図3に示すように、S字状に配置されて、ハーネス170のコネクタ部171に接続される。コネクタ部171は、ステー155の固定部164に固定されており、酸素センサのハーネス161は、コネクタ部171から後方には、更に束ねられたハーネス170としてシリンダブロック35aに沿って延びる。ハーネス170は車両の制御部(不図示)に接続される。酸素センサのハーネス161のコネクタ部171側の上部分161aは、前後方向に沿って固定されている。
なお本実施の形態では、酸素センサ150は、シリンダヘッド35bの排気ポート101に取り付けられているが、排気ポート101の下流側の排気管36に酸素センサ150が配置されてもよい。
センサハーネス163は一端が前後方向に沿う圧力センサ144に固定され、他端が、前後方向に沿う酸素センサのハーネス161と共に固定されているため、センサハーネス163は前後方向に沿った状態で配置される。
本実施形態では、圧力センサ144に接続されるセンサハーネス163が前後方向に延びて配置されるため、ユニットスイングエンジン13が前後方向に揺動した場合に、センサハーネス163が同方向に揺動し、圧力センサ144とセンサハーネス163との接触不良、取付不良が抑制される。したがって、ユニットスイングエンジン13の揺動が、センサハーネス163に影響を与えることが少なく、圧力センサ144をユニットスイングエンジン13の揺動の影響を受け難いように配置することができる。
酸素センサのハーネス161とセンサハーネス163が結束されているため、各ハーネス161,163が結束されない場合に比べて、ハーネスを簡素化することができる。
本実施の形態では、エンジン30においては、シリンダヘッド35bの車幅方向の他方側の側面35b1に、点火プラグ133と、燃焼室92の圧力を検知する圧力センサ144とが、同一方向の軸方向上に配置されている。
シリンダヘッド35bの周辺の小スペースSに圧力センサ144を配置するとともに、点火プラグ133と圧力センサ144を同一方向の軸方向上に配置することにより、点火プラグ133のプラグ支持孔132とセンサ支持孔142を同時に加工でき、加工工程を簡略化可能である。
単気筒のエンジン30に圧力センサ144を設けた場合でも、周辺のエンジン関連部材70に干渉せず、加工工程を効率化できる。
したがって、本実施形態では、点火プラグ133と圧力センサ144は、シリンダヘッド35bの側面35b1に対して、スタッドボルト81を回避した小スペースSに配置することが可能である。
本実施の形態では、点火プラグ133のプラグキャップ151と圧力センサ144が所定の間隔を空けて配置されており、所定の間隔よりも狭い場合に比べて、点火プラグ133のノイズを受けにくい位置に圧力センサ144を配置することができる。特に、プラグキャップ151がL字形であり、ハイテンションケーブル154は、圧力センサ144と反対側に延出しているため、点火プラグ133のノイズを受け難い位置に圧力センサ144を配置可能である。
本実施の形態では、酸素センサのハーネス161とセンサハーネス163は束ねられているから、ハーネス170が簡素化されている。
図6は、第2実施形態の説明図である。
第2実施形態では、第1実施形態と同様に構成される部分については、同符号を付して説明を省略する。
第2実施形態では、圧力センサ144が配置される構成が第1実施形態とは異なる。プラグ支持孔132の上部には、プラグ支持孔132と略平行に貫通孔241が形成されている。貫通孔241は、シリンダヘッド35bの側面35b1から燃焼室92まで延びている。貫通孔241には、側部から斜め方向外方にセンサ支持孔242が分岐して連続して形成されている。センサ支持孔242は、形成位置が異なる点以外は、第1実施形態のセンサ支持孔142と同様であり、大径孔142aと、小径孔142bとを有する。センサ支持孔242には、圧力センサ144が挿入されて固定支持される。圧力センサ144は、検出部144bが貫通孔241に配置されて、燃焼室92に届かない状態で配置される。貫通孔241は、点火プラグ133に設けられたガスケット133dで密閉される。
圧力センサ144はネジ部144dによりねじで固定される構成を説明したが、プラグで固定するなど他の部材を利用して固定しても良い。
圧力センサ144は圧電センサの構成を説明したが、圧力を検出可能であれば任意の圧力センサを用いることが可能である。
上述した実施形態ではユニットスイングエンジン13が上リンクの構成を説明したが、下リンクの構成に適用することも可能である。
本発明は、水冷エンジンの単気筒エンジンのように、シリンダヘッドの側部に冷却装置が配置されるエンジン形態に特に効果的であるが、エンジンの気筒数や車両形態に限定されることはなく、趣々のエンジン形式や車両形態に適用可能である。

- シリンダヘッド(35b)の上下面に吸気ポート(95)と排気ポート(101)が設けられ、前記シリンダヘッド(35b)の一方側の側面(35b0)にエンジン関連部材(70)が配置される鞍乗型車両の内燃機関において、
前記シリンダヘッド(35b)の他方側の側面(35b1)に点火プラグ(133)と燃焼室(92)の圧力を検知する圧力センサ(144)が配置され、前記点火プラグ(133)と、前記圧力センサ(144)の検出部(144b)が配置される孔(142,241)とは、同一方向の軸方向上に設けられることを特徴とする鞍乗型車両の内燃機関。 - 前記シリンダヘッド(35b)とシリンダブロック(35a)をつなぐスタッドボルト(81)の上下方向の範囲内に、前記点火プラグ(133)の台座面(131)と前記圧力センサ(144)の台座面(141)が設けられ、
前記点火プラグ(133)の台座面(131)と前記圧力センサ(144)の台座面(141)が連続するように前記圧力センサ(144)と前記点火プラグ(133)を配置し、前記点火プラグ(133)のキャップ(151)と前記圧力センサ(144)は、所定間隔を保って配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の鞍乗型車両の内燃機関。 - 前記内燃機関(30)は、クランクケース(34)上部に設けられたリンク機構(38)を介して車体(1)に揺動可能に取り付けられ、
前記圧力センサ(144)は、前記内燃機関(30)の揺動方向に対し沿う方向に配置されることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の鞍乗型車両の内燃機関。 - 酸素センサ(150)のハーネス(161)と前記圧力センサ(144)のハーネス(163)は束ねられ、前記内燃機関(30)に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の鞍乗型車両の内燃機関。
- 前記孔(142)は、前記圧力センサ(144)の支持孔(142)であり、
前記点火プラグ(133)の支持孔(132)と前記圧力センサ(144)の支持孔(142)は、平行に設けられ、
