Furthermore, the low pressure casting mold can obtain a sound quality cast product having no shape defect or shrinkage of the unsolidified portion by equalizing the solidification time of the gate portions 8A and 9A. In, a sound quality cylinder head CH can be obtained.
- the low pressure casting mold includes a gate piece 8 arranged in the central region (high temperature region HA) and a gate piece 9 arranged in the end region (low temperature region LA) and the volume of the gate portions 8A and 9A and the hot water. It is assumed that the volume of the reservoirs 8B and 9B differs inversely. Thereby, since the low-pressure casting mold can make the appearance shape and the external dimensions of the gate pieces 8 and 9 equivalent (common), it affects the structure of the mold 4 and the stalk 10 including the lower mold 4L. Therefore, the degree of freedom in device design can be further increased.
- the low pressure casting mold includes the heights Hb8 and Hb9 of the sump portions 8B and 9B of the spout pieces 8 and 9, the heights Ha8 and Ha9 of the spout portions 8A and 9A, and the lower ends of the sump portions 8B and 9B. At least one of the inner diameters D8 and D9 of the portion and the volume and shape of the piece itself is made different.
