本実施形態の温熱具1は、着用者の身体に接するシートであり通気性を有する第一シート11と、着用者の身体とは反対側に位置する第二シート12と、第一シート11および第二シート12の間に介在配置され、発熱した際に水蒸気を発生する発熱体13と、第一シート11の外面のうち着用者側に適用される面に設けられた第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15を備える。さらに、温熱具1は、第一シート11の外面周縁部の少なくとも一部に、第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15が設けられていない粘着層不在領域を有する。この場合、発熱体13は、図2,3に示すように、さらに、第一シート11側に配置される第三シートとして通気性を有するシート171と、第二シート12側に配置される第四シートとしてシート172とにより内袋17を設け、当該内袋17の中に介在配置させてもよい。この場合、シート171が着用者の身体側に位置する。
この温熱具1は、温熱具1を着用した際に着用者側に、第一シート11が位置するように構成されている。なお、本実施形態において、着用者の身体とは、顔などの頭部を除き、かつ粘着剤により温熱具1を貼付できる箇所である。例えば、背面、より具体的には、首の後ろ、首の後ろから肩にかけた部分、背中、腹部などが挙げられる。
第一粘着層14は並列して一方向に延在するとともに離間する一対の第一粘着層からなり、第二粘着層15は前記一対の第一粘着層14間の領域に配置されるとともに、第一粘着層14に倣って同方向に延在している。
第一シート11側からの温熱具1の平面視において、第一粘着層14と第二粘着層15との間の領域に発熱体13が位置している。
第一シート11側からの温熱具1の平面視において、第一粘着層14と第二粘着層15との間の領域には、粘着層が存在せず、第一シート11の外面は、発熱体13に空気が供給されるように構成されている。
粘着層は、第一シート11側からの温熱具1の平面視において、発熱体13と重ならない領域に設けることが好ましく、また、発熱体13への空気の供給を確保する観点から、第一シート11の外面周縁部の少なくとも一部に粘着層不在領域を設けている。第一シート11の外面周縁部とは、第一シート11の着用者側に接する面における外周近傍であって、発熱体13の領域よりも外周側の領域である。粘着層不在領域は、その大きさ、数、位置は特に限定されないが、発熱体13への空気の供給を充分に確保する観点から、離間して設けられた一対の第一粘着層14の間の一部又は全部に設けられていることが好ましく、また、第二粘着層15を設ける場合には、第一粘着層14と第二粘着層15との間の一部又は全部に設けられていることが好ましい。より具体的には、図2,3における第一粘着層14及び/又は第二粘着層15を上下に分割してもよく、発熱体13の上部及び/又は下部に配置してもよく、これらの組み合わせでもよい。例えば、図1における温熱具1では、粘着層不在領域が、第一シート11の周縁部に上下に3つずつ設けられている。
また、当該温熱具1は、発熱体13を挟んで第一シート11と反対側に位置する非通気層の第二シート12を有する。なお、図2,3に示すように、さらに内袋17を設け、当該内袋17に発熱体13を介在配置させる場合には、第二シート12は通気性のシートであり、内袋17を構成するシート172を非通気性とすることが好ましい。以降、本発明においては、図2,3に示すように、内袋17を設ける場合を例に説明する。
また、第一シート11側からの温熱具1の平面視において、第一粘着層14と第二粘着層15との間の領域には、粘着層が存在せず、第一シート11の外面は、シート171を通して発熱体13に空気が供給されるように構成されている。そのため、温熱具1を着用した際に、着用者の肌と第一シート11との間に空気を供給し得る一方向に延在する経路ができ、第一シート11及びシート171を介して発熱体13に空気を良好に供給できる。これにより、所望の発熱特性を得ることができる。また、温熱具1を着用者の首の後ろ側に貼り付けた際に、髪の毛等が温熱具1の粘着層に付着してしまうことを防止できる。
第一シート11および第二シート12は、温熱具1の外郭を構成するものである。本実施形態では、第一シート11および第二シート12はいずれも同一の大きさであり、同一平面形状である。本実施形態では、第一シート11および第二シート12、すなわち、温熱具1は、第一シート11側からの平面視において、長手方向Xとこれに直交する幅方向Yを有する横長の形状をしている。すなわち、X軸方向の長さが、Y軸方向の長さよりも長くなっており、たとえば、第一シート11および第二シート12は長手方向X方向に長辺を短手方向Y方向に短辺を有する横長形状、具体的には平面視における形状が矩形形状、長円形状、楕円形状、ビーンズ形状等が好ましい。
このように、温熱具1を、第一シート11側からの平面視において、横長の扁平形状とすることで、温熱具1を、背面部、より具体的には、首の後ろ側、背中、腰部分に着用者の左右方向に延在するように、貼り付けることができる。
なお、前述のとおり、第一シート11と第二シート12とを別体のシートで構成し、互いの外周縁を貼り合わせる又は密閉シールすることで、袋体を構成してもよく、また、第一シート11と第二シート12とを一連のシートで構成し、この一連のシートを折って、対向する外周縁同士を貼り合わせる又は密閉シールすることで袋体を構成してもよい。
通気度はJIS P8117(1998年)によって測定される値であり、一定の圧力のもとで100mlの空気が6.42cm2の面積を通過する時間で定義される。したがって、通気度が大きいことは空気の通過に時間がかかること、即ち通気性が低いことを意味している。逆に、通気度が小さいことは通気性が高いことを意味している。このように、通気度の大小と通気性の高低とは逆の関係を示す。通気度は、王研式通気度計で計測することができる。
温熱具1中の炭素成分の含有量は、発熱特性の観点から、0.89mg/cm2以上が好ましく、0.96mg/cm2以上がより好ましく、1.04mg/cm2以上が更に好ましく、一方、香料の揮散効果を発揮する観点から、1.63mg/cm2以下が好ましく、1.38mg/cm2以下がより好ましく、1.26mg/cm2以下が更に好ましい。また、0.89~1.63mg/cm2が好ましく、0.96~1.38mg/cm2がより好ましく、1.04~1.26mg/cm2が更に好ましくい。これにより、香料の揮散効果を発揮しつつ、香料が粘着剤、及び炭素成分に吸着されることによって、粘着力、及び発熱特定が低下するのを抑制できる。
(1)窒素気流下で発熱体を3g前後秤量した後、120℃で30分間乾燥して水分量を測定する。
(2)前記(1)で得られた乾燥物を少量の水(3ml)に分散してスラリー様物を用意する。
(3)メタタングステン酸ナトリウム75%水溶液を用意し、密度勾配遠心法により炭素成分と被酸化性金属を分離する。スラリー様物:メタタングステン酸ナトリウム水溶液の質量比率を3:25~5:25の範囲とし、5℃にて1万回転で30分間遠心分離する。
(4)炭素成分を含む上層部のスラリーを取り出し、数回水洗して塩分、水溶性無機物を除去した後、乾燥質量を測り、温熱具1の平面視における総面積で除して炭素成分の含有量を算出する。
この場合、発熱体13は、基材層Sおよび基材層Rとともに、後述する内袋17内に収容されることとなる。
基材層Sとしては、例えば繊維を原料とする紙、不織布、織物、編み物等の繊維シートが挙げられる。前記の繊維としては、例えば植物繊維及び動物繊維などの天然繊維を主成分とするものや化学繊維を主成分とするものが挙げられる。また、水分の吸水保持を容易にするために、必要に応じて吸水性素材、例えばα化澱粉や吸水性ポリマーなどを含んでもよい。
なお、基材層Sは、温熱具1を着用者が肌に着用した際、発熱体13よりも肌側に位置してもよいし、発熱体13よりも肌から遠い側に位置してもよい。
内袋17は、シート171と、シート172の周縁部を接合することで構成されている。シート171,172の周縁部以外の領域は非接合領域であり、非接合領域内に発熱体13が配置される。
シート171は、発熱部18を構成するシートであり通気性を有する。シート171の通気度は、発熱温度を制御し、異常発熱を防ぐ観点から、500秒/100ml以上が好ましく、800秒/100ml以上がより好ましく、1300秒/100ml以上が更に好ましい。一方、良好な温度の立ちがり(5分以内)を得る観点から、5000秒/100ml以下が好ましく、3500秒/100ml以下がより好ましい。このような通気度を有するシート171としては、例えば透湿性は有するが透水性を有さない合成樹脂製の多孔性シートを用いることが好適である。具体的には、ポリエチレンに炭酸カルシウム等を含有させ延伸したフィルムを用いることができる。なお、前述のように内袋17を設けない場合には、第一シート11に当該シート171と同様の通気度を持たせることが好ましい。
シート172は、本実施形態では、実質的に通気性を有しない非通気性シートである。ここで、実質的に通気性を有しない非通気性シートとは、空気を完全に通さない非通気性シートだけでなく、仮に空気を通すことがあったとしても、発熱体13の発熱特性に影響を及ぼすほどの通気性は有しない(すなわち、空気を完全に通さない非通気性シートを使用した場合と同様の発熱特性となる)難通気性のシートも含む概念である。非通気性シートの通気度は、80,000秒/100ml以上であり、好ましくは、100,000秒/100ml以上である。さらに、好ましくは、150,000秒/100ml以上である。
そして、以上のような発熱部18は、前述した第一シート11および第二シート12で構成される外袋内部に収容される。本実施形態では、外袋内に複数の発熱部18が収容されている。複数の発熱部18は、外袋のX軸方向に沿って、離間配置されている。発熱部18の一辺は、外袋の長辺と平行となっていてもよい。発熱部18のシート172の一部はホットメルト系接着剤等の接着剤により、第二シート12に固定されていてもよい。
本実施形態においては、第一シート11、シート171、基材層Sにより、発熱体13に空気を供給するための通気層が形成されることとなる。なお、発熱体13が基材層S上に形成されない場合には、前記通気層は、第一シート11、シート171で構成されることとなる。
第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15は、第一シート11の外面に設けられている。第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15は、温熱具1を着用者の肌に取り付けるためのものである。
第一粘着層14は一対からなり、該一対の第一粘着層14は第一シート11の外面に並列して一方向に延在するとともに離間配置され、好ましくは第一シート11のX軸方向の端部にそれぞれ配置されている。更に好ましくは、該一対の第一粘着層14は、第一シート11の外面のX軸方向の中心を通る中心線C(短手方向に延びる縦中心線)を挟んで配置されており、好ましくは対称位置に配置されている。
本実施形態では、各第一粘着層14は、第二粘着層15と交差することなく、第一シート11のY軸方向に沿って延在し、好ましくは、延在方向の両端部が第一シート11の外周縁に達している。これにより、温熱具1を着用者に安定的に貼り付けることができる上、温熱具1を着用した際に、着用者の肌と第一シートとの間に空気を供給し得る一方向に延在する経路ができ、第一シート11を介して発熱体に空気を良好に供給できる。
さらに好ましくは、該一対の第一粘着層14は、第一シート11の外面側からの平面視において、円弧状の外周縁が、第一シート11のY軸方向の外周縁(円弧部分)と重なるように形成され半月形状となっている。
また、図1においては、第一シート11側からの平面視において、第一粘着層14、第二粘着層15は、第一シート11の発熱部18が位置していない領域に設けられている。
なお、第一シート11の外面側からの平面視において、一対の第一粘着層14は、発熱体13と重なっていないことが発熱特性の点で好ましい。
本実施形態では、第二粘着層15は、第一シート11側からの平面視において、矩形形状となっている。そして、第二粘着層15の延在方向の両端部は、第一シート11の外周縁に達しているとよい。すなわち、第二粘着層15は、第一シート11のY軸方向全長を被覆するように形成されているとよい。
また、上記では、第二粘着層15を中心線Cの近傍位置に設ける例について説明したが、第二粘着層15の位置はこれに限られない。例えば、中心線Cから、長手方向に平行移動してもよい。具体的には、第一シート11側からの温熱具1の平面視において、図9に示すように、発熱特性の観点から、第二粘着層15と、発熱体13とは重ならず発熱部18とは重なりあってもよく、さらに、図12に示すように、粘着力の観点から、第二粘着層15と、発熱体13とが一部重なるようにもうけられてもよい。
本実施形態では、一対の第二粘着層15の間には、粘着層が存在せず第一シート11の外面が露出した露出領域111(粘着層不在領域)が形成されており、露出領域111は、Y軸方向に延在し、平面視において矩形形状である。粘着層不在領域である露出領域111のY軸方向の両端部は、第一シート11の外周縁まで達しているとよい。本実施形態では、この露出領域111は、第一シート11のX軸方向の中心に位置し、露出領域111内を前述した中心線Cが通る。詳しくは後述するが、中心線Cは、温熱具1の折り曲げ線となる。この折り曲げ線上には、粘着層は存在しないとよい。
なお、本実施形態においては、第一シート11側からの平面視において、露出領域111は、発熱体13、さらには、発熱部18と重なっていないことが折り曲げやすさや身体へのフィット性の点で好ましい。ただし、図9に示すように、露出領域111と、発熱部18とは重なりあってもよい。
本実施形態では、一対の露出領域112の大きさおよび形状は同じであるが、異なっていてもよい。ここで、露出領域112は、第一粘着層14の発熱体13側の一辺と、第二粘着層15の発熱体13側の一辺と、第一シート11の外周縁とで囲まれた領域である。このように、第一シート11外面の第一粘着層14と隣接する第二粘着層15との間の領域には、粘着層が存在しないことで、空気の通りを粘着層に阻害されにくくなり、着用者の肌と発熱体13との間に露出領域112を介して良好に空気を通すことができる。
露出領域112Aは、第一粘着層14と第二粘着層15とが発熱体13を挟む方向とは異なる方向(本実施形態では直交する方向)から発熱体13を挟み、発熱体13の外周縁(図1においては、発熱体13を区画する上辺あるいは下辺)から第一シート11の外周縁にまで達する。露出領域112Aは、発熱体13への空気供給に重要な役割を果たす箇所である。
発熱体13の外周縁と第一シート11の外周縁との間に粘着層を存在させず、発熱体13のX軸方向の辺をX軸方向に延長した延長線と、第一粘着層14の発熱体13側の一辺と、第二粘着層15の発熱体13側の一辺と、第一シート11の外周縁とで囲まれた領域全体を露出領域112Aとすることで、露出領域112Aを広い面積とすることができる。
露出領域112Aを形成することで、空気が発熱体13に良好に供給される。また、露出領域112Aを形成することで、温熱具1を着用者の首の後ろや背中側に貼り付けた際に、髪の毛等が温熱具1の粘着層に付着してしまうことを防止できる。これにより、使い勝手のよい温熱具1とすることができる。
前述したように、露出領域112Aを広い面積としている。これにより、露出領域112Aに隣接する露出領域112Bに確実に空気を供給することができ、露出領域112Bを介して、発熱体13側に十分に空気を供給することができる。
本実施形態では、露出領域112のX軸方向の幅W1は、発熱体13のX軸方向の幅W2よりも長く、さらには、発熱部18のX軸方向の幅よりも長く、かつ、露出領域112のY軸方向の長さは、発熱体13のY軸方向の長さ、さらには、発熱部18のY軸方向の長さよりも長い。
なお、露出領域112のX軸方向の幅W1は、発熱体13のX軸方向の幅W2よりも長いものの、発熱部18のX軸方向の幅よりも短くてもよい(図9参照)。
なお、第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15は、アクリル系樹脂、酢酸ビニル系樹脂、オレフィン系樹脂、ゴム系樹脂から選択される少なくとも1種または2種以上を含む粘着剤を、第一シート11の外面に塗布することで形成される。粘着層を形成する樹脂としては、中でも、ホットメルト粘着剤とすることができる点から、酢酸ビニル系樹脂、オレフィン系樹脂、ゴム系樹脂から選択される少なくとも1種または2種以上であることが好ましい。
温熱具1には、粘着層を全域覆う剥離紙2が設けられる。
剥離紙2は、少なくとも一対の剥離部21,22から構成されていると好ましく、本実施形態では、一対の剥離部21,22から構成される。
本実施形態では、剥離部21は、一対の第一粘着層14のうち一方の第一粘着層14、一方の露出領域112、一対の第二粘着層15のうち一方の第二粘着層15、露出領域111、一対の第二粘着層15のうち他方の第二粘着層15および他方の露出領域112の一部を被覆する。そして、剥離部21は、一対の第一粘着層14のうち一方の第一粘着層14および一対の第二粘着層15の両方に接着している。
図5に示すように、剥離部21の外周縁は、第一シート11の外周縁と重なる外周縁部21Aと、他方の露出領域112上をY軸方向に延在する外周縁部21Bとで構成されている。
図5に示すように、剥離部22の外周縁は、第一シート11の外周縁と重なる外周縁部22Aと、他方の露出領域112上をY軸方向に延在する外周縁部22Bとで構成されている。
このように、第一シート11側からの平面視において、剥離部21と、剥離部22とは、形状が異なっている。また、第一シート11側からの平面視において、剥離部21と、剥離部22とは離間しており、外周縁部22Bおよび外周縁部21Bは対向している。また、外周縁部22Bと外周縁部21Bとは、他方の露出領域112上に位置しており、外周縁部22Bと外周縁部21Bとの間からは第一シート11外面が露出している。本実施形態では、他方の露出領域112が露出している。外周縁部22Bおよび外周縁部21Bは中心線CからX軸方向にずれた位置にある。
さらには、剥離部21の外周縁部21Bと剥離部22の外周縁部22Bとの間を離間することで、剥離紙2全体の面積を小さくすることができる。そのため、発生するごみの量を低減でき、かつ、コストも低減できる。
温熱具1は、着用者の首、中でも首の後ろから背面側に着用されるものであり、X軸方向の長さは、たとえば、10~30cm、Y軸方向の長さが5~10cmである。
また、第一粘着層14のX軸方向の最大幅は、10~80mm、第二粘着層15のX軸方向の幅は、2~10mmであり、露出領域111のX軸方向の最大幅W3はたとえば、4~10mmであり、露出領域112のX軸方向の幅W1はたとえば、15~130mmである。
剥離紙2が取り付けられた温熱具1を2つ折に折り曲げる。すなわち、露出領域111を延在方向に沿って中心線Cに沿って折り曲げる。このとき、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15側が内側となるように、剥離紙2とともに、温熱具1を折り曲げる。
そして、外装体3内に収容し、外装体3を密閉する。外装体3は酸素バリア性を有するフィルムで構成される。このような外装体3と、剥離紙2が取り付けられた温熱具1とで、発熱物品100を構成することができる。
また、剥離紙2が取り付けられた温熱具1を粘着層が内側となるように剥離紙2とともに折り曲げると、剥離紙は温熱具1本体より厚みが極端に薄く伸縮性が低いため、粘着剤同士が互いに接着してしまい接着剤ダマリが生じ、温熱具1を使用する際に、折りたたまれた温熱具1を広げることが困難となる場合がある。これに対し、本実施形態では、粘着層が設けられていない露出領域111を折り曲げているので、折りたたまれた温熱具1を容易に広げることができる。
また、露出領域111と、発熱体13とが重なりあっておらず、発熱体13を折り曲げる必要がないので、スムーズに温熱具1を折り曲げたり広げたりすることができる。本実施形態では、露出領域111が、発熱体13のみならず、発熱部18とも重なりあっていないので、スムーズに温熱具1を折り曲げたり広げたりすることができる。
さらに、本実施形態では、温熱具1は第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15によって着用者の肌に固定される。そのため、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15側が内側となるように、剥離紙2とともに、温熱具1を折り曲げ、外装体3に収容することで、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15や、第一シート11を保護できる点が非常に好ましい。
また、温熱具1を折り曲げて、外装体3内に収容することで、温熱具1をコンパクトに外装体3内に収容することができ、発熱物品100全体の小型化を図ることができる。
このように、複数の剥離部のうち、一つの剥離部を剥離し、複数の粘着層のうちの一つの粘着層を露出させ、肌に固定することで、温熱具1を肌に固定する際に粘着層同士が互いにくっついてしまうことを防止できる。その後、一つの粘着層が肌に固定された状態で、残りの剥離部を剥離し、複数の粘着層のうち予め肌に固定した以外の粘着層を肌に貼り付けているため、温熱具1を所望の位置に安定して貼り付けることができる。
なお、温熱具1の第二シート12は、本実施形態では、通気性シートであるため、第二シート12を介して空気が温熱具1内部に供給される。しかしながら、内袋17のシート172は非通気層であるため、第二シート12を通過した空気のほとんどは、発熱体13にまで到達することはなく、第二シート12側から発熱体13に空気を供給することは非常に困難である。
なお、発熱体13に基材層Sが設けられていない場合には、シート171、第一シート11を介して蒸気が外部に放出される。
一方で、内袋17のシート172は非通気層であるため、発熱体13で発生した蒸気は、シート172により遮断されて、第二シート12側から外部へはほとんど放出されない。これにより、シート171から優先的に蒸気を放出させることができ、着用者の肌に確実に蒸気を供給することができる。
たとえば、前述の実施形態では、シート172が非通気層であるとしたが、たとえば、第二シート12、シート172のうち、いずれか一方を非通気層としてもよく、双方を非通気層としてもよい。
さらには、内袋17内部に、非通気性のシートを配置してもよい。この場合には、発熱体13よりもシート172側に非通気性のシートを配置する。この非通気性のシートは、第二シート12側からの平面視において、発熱体13全体を被覆するものであることが好ましい。この場合、第二シート12、シート172は非通気層であってもよく、通気層であってもよい。
たとえば、第一粘着層14の端部が、第一シート11の外周縁に達しておらず、第一粘着層14の端部と、第一シート11の外周縁との間に第一シート11が露出した領域があってもよい。同様に、第二粘着層15の端部が、第一シート11の外周縁に達しておらず、第二粘着層15の端部と、第一シート11の外周縁との間に第一シート11が露出した領域があってもよい。ただし、温熱具1を安定的に着用者に固定するためには、第一粘着層14および第二粘着層15のうち、少なくともいずれか一方の延在方向の端部、好ましくは両方の延在方向の端部は、前記第一シート11の外周縁に達していることが好ましい。
すなわち、第一粘着層14の発熱体側の一辺あるいは、その延長線と、第二粘着層15の発熱体13側の一辺あるいはその延長線と、第一シート11の外周縁とで囲まれた領域が粘着層不存在領域である露出領域112となることが好ましい。
さらには、発熱体13と、第二粘着層15とが重なってもよい。すなわち、第一シート11側からの平面視において、第一粘着層14と、第二粘着層15との間に発熱体13の一部が位置していればよい。ただし、発熱体13の所望の発熱特性を得るという観点から、第一シート11側からの平面視において、発熱体13上から第二粘着層15の一部がX軸方向(第一粘着層14と、第二粘着層15とが発熱体13を挟む方向)にはみ出すように、第二粘着層15を配置することが好ましく、なかでも、前述の実施形態のように、発熱体13と第二粘着層15とが重なり合わないように、第二粘着層15を配置することが好ましい。
同様に、発熱体13の所望の発熱特性を得るという観点から、第一シート11側からの平面視において、発熱体13上から第一粘着層14のX軸方向の一部がはみ出すように第一粘着層14を配置することが好ましく、なかでも、前述の実施形態のように、発熱体13と第一粘着層14とは重なり合わないように、第一粘着層14を配置することが好ましい。さらには、第一粘着層14と、第二粘着層15とが発熱体13を挟む方向(前述の実施形態では、X軸方向)に沿った発熱体13の幅の80%以上が、粘着層に被覆されていないことが好ましく、85~95%が粘着層に被覆されていないことがより好ましい。また、第一シート11側からの平面視における発熱体13の表面積の80%以上が粘着層と重ならないことが好ましく、発熱体13の表面積の85~95%が粘着層と重ならないことがより好ましい。
さらに、前述の実施形態では、剥離部21の外周縁部21Bと、剥離部22の外周縁部22Bとの間に隙間が形成されていたが、外周縁部21Bと外周縁部22Bとが当接し、外周縁部21B,22B間に隙間がなくてもよい。
またさらに、前述の実施形態の温熱具1において、スリットを形成して、X軸方向に伸縮可能な構成としてもよい。
また、前述の実施形態では、温熱具1を首の後ろ側に貼り付けていたが、これに限らず、着用者の他の部位の肌面に貼り付けてもよい。
〔成分A〕
鎖状モノテルペンアルコール類、セスキテルペンアルコール類、モノテルペンアルコール若しくは脂環式アルコールの酢酸エステル類、ジヒドロジャスモン酸メチル、ヨノン、又はダマスコン
テルペン系炭化水素又は芳香族アルコール。
また、本発明における香料の含有量とは、温熱具1を使用する直前の香料の含有量であり、使用により香料が揮発してしまった後を意味するものではない。
温熱具1中の香料の含有量は、温熱具1中の炭素成分の含有量にもよるが、使用時に香りが感じられる観点から、0.25mg/cm2以上が好ましく、0.29mg/cm2以上がより好ましく、0.34mg/cm2以上が更に好ましく、そして、適度な発熱特性が得られる観点から、0.7mg/cm2以下が好ましく、0.6mg/cm2以下がより好ましく、0.55mg/cm2以下が更に好ましい。
有機溶剤を使用して賦香された温熱具1から直接香料成分を抽出し、得られた抽出物を検出器に質量分析計を備えたガスクロマトグラフィーにより測定することで定量分析することができる。また、ヘッドスペース導入装置を備えたガスクロマトグラフィーシステムを用い、予め香料含有量とその揮発量との関係をグラフ化した検量線に照らし合わせることで、含有量を見積もることもできる。
(a)温熱具1中の炭素成分の含有量に対する香料の含有量の質量比(香料/炭素成分)が、0.2以上0.52以下

また、着用者の背面に本発明の温熱具1を粘着適用した場合であっても、十分な量の香料を含有しているため、着用者が香りを感じられる。

<温熱具1の作成>
以下のようにして、図1,10に示した温熱具1を製造した。
被酸化性金属100質量部、炭素成分8質量部、水62質量部、反応促進剤11質量部、増粘剤0.2質量部、を用意し、次の手順で調整した。増粘剤を水に溶解し、次いで反応促進剤を溶解して水溶液を用意し、一方で被酸化性金属、炭素成分をプレ混合した粉体を用意し、水溶液にプレ混合粉体を入れ、ディスクタービン型攪拌羽根で150rpm、10分間攪拌してスラリー状の発熱粉体水分散物を得た。
なお、被酸化性金属、炭素成分、水、反応促進剤、及び増粘剤の種類、製品名及び製造元は以下のとおりである。
・被酸化性金属:鉄粉(鉄粉RKH、平均粒径45μm、DOWA IP クリエイション株式会社製)
・炭素成分:活性炭(カルボラフィン、平均粒径40μm、日本エンバイロケミカルズ株式会社製)
・水:水道水
・反応促進剤:塩化ナトリウム(局方塩化ナトリウム、大塚化学株式会社製)
・増粘剤:キサンタンガム(エコーガムBT、DSP五協フード&ケミカル株式会社製)
基材層Sとして、木材パルプ製の紙A(20g/m2、伊野紙株式会社製)と吸水性ポリマー(ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム、球状、平均粒子径300μm、50g/m2、アクアリックCA、株式会社日本触媒製)と木材パルプ製の紙B(30g/m2、伊野紙株式会社製)をこの順に積層して一体化したポリマーシート(通気度1秒/100ml)を使用した。
基材層Rとして非通気性のポリエチレンシート(坪量27g/m2)を用意し、1セルの大きさである25cm2(5cm×5cm)の基材層Rに上記発熱粉体水分散物を25cm2(5cm×5cm)の範囲に、表1に示したように1.4~1.9g/25cm2まで、0.1g/25cm2刻みで塗布し、基材層Sの紙B側を塗布面に向けて積層したものを発熱体13とした。また、後述する温熱具1に対する活性炭量(mg/cm2)を、表1に示した。
シート171(通気度1,700秒/100ml)とシート172(非通気性シート)である内袋17内に発熱体13を入れて、周縁部を密閉シールした。このとき、基材層S側が、シート171側(通気側)に位置するように、発熱体13を配置した。これにより、発熱部18を得た。
シート172(非通気性シート)はPEシート(35g/m2)と木材パルプ製の紙(35g/m2)が積層ラミネートされたもの(図示なし)で、シート171とは上記PEシート面側で熱シールされる。紙には、香料を表1に示したように、後述する温熱具1に対して0.297~0.668mg/cm2の範囲で賦香されたものを使用し、紙が発熱部18の外側になるように配置した。香料はラベンダーオイル(前記成分Aが主成分)の含有量が77質量%のものを使用した(前記成分B:0質量%)。表1には、前記発熱粉体水分散物の1セルあたりの塗布量を変えた6種類の発熱体13について、それぞれ賦香量を7種類変えたサンプル(未賦香品も含む)全42個の香料/活性炭質量比を示した。
第一シート11として、ニードルパンチ不織布(通気度1秒/100ml以下、坪量80g/m2)を使用し、第二シート12として、スパンボンド不織布(通気度1秒/100ml以下、坪量38g/m2)を使用した。そして、第一シート11、第二シート12の内側には、発熱部18を2つ離間配置した(2セル配置)。その後、第一シート11、第二シート12の周縁部を密閉シールした。
さらに、図1に示すような配置で第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15を配置した。ゴム系の粘着剤を使用し、粘着剤を第一シート11外面に塗布することで、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15を設けた。第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15の粘着面積を合わせた総面積は36cm2とし、総粘着剤量は0.63gとした。製造後の温熱具1全体の平面視における面積は134.8cm2であった。
得られた温熱具1を、酸素バリア性を有する密閉容器(アルミピロー)に入れ、50℃にて3日間保存した後に取り出し、20℃50%RH環境下に3時間保存した後、下記に示す評価を行った。
上記表1に示した各温熱具1を以下のようにして評価し、その結果を表2~6に示した。
JIS S4100に準拠した測定機を用いて、温熱具1の粘着面を測定機の測定面に貼り付けて、発熱測定を行った。発熱温度の評価項目として10点測定したときの最高温度の平均値(℃)を表2に示す。最高温度の平均値が53~57℃、特に54~56℃の範囲にあれば、良好な温感が得られるとした。
匂いの専門パネラー3名に試験品の温熱具1の香りを嗅がせ、量的な変化について「香り立ち」を0~6までの7段階絶対評価を行い、質的な変化について「香りの変化」を0~3の4段階絶対評価を行い、それぞれを平均した。なお、香りの変化が大きいものは、変化状態を専門パネルで協議した。結果を表3及び4に示す。香り立ちは2~4が好ましく、2.5~3がより好ましい。
<香り立ちの評価基準:7段階絶対評価>
0:無臭
1:ごく僅かに匂う
2:弱く匂う
3:はっきり匂う
4:強く匂う
5:かなり強く匂う
6:非常に強く匂う
<香りの変化の評価基準:4段階絶対評価>
0:まったく変化無し
1:ほとんど変化無し
2:少し変化している
3:かなり変化している
粘着力の測定は20±2℃、50±15%の恒温室にて行った。図11に示すように、表面が清浄かつ、平滑なステンレス板30(A4サイズ)を用意し、その表面をエタノールを含浸したエリエールプロワイプ(大王製紙株式会社)で拭き、その後エリエールプロワイプで乾拭きした。温熱具1(シート)を包装袋から取り出し、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15部分に触れないようにシートを持ち、水平方向に置いたステンレス板30上にシートをそっと広げて乗せた。200gの分銅の側面を持ち、シートの上から、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15部分を2回擦りながら押さえた。平面視においてシートの凸部が下方になるよう、速やかにステンレス板30を壁に取り付けて垂直にし、1分間静置した。クリップ32(ダブルクリップCP-106:プラス ステーショナリー株式会社、滑り止めとして1mm厚のシリコーン片をクリップ面に挟持する)のハンドルの先端にたこ紐で100gの分銅31を装着したものを2つ用意した。この分銅31付きクリップ32を、たこ紐を結んでいるハンドルをステンレス板30側になるように向けて、シートの上部2箇所(発熱体と同じ筋にあり、第一粘着層14,第二粘着層15が塗工されていない部分)に装着した(図11)。その際、片手で分銅31を支えながらゆっくり手を下げて、分銅31によりシートに荷重がかかり始めた時を測定開始時とした。シートがステンレス板30から剥がれるまでの時間(左側が剥離するまでの秒数と、右側が剥離するまでの秒数の平均値)を測定し、その結果を表5に示し、以下のように評価した。
良好 82秒以上
やや良好 80秒超82秒未満
良好でない 80秒以下
良好 0.75以上
やや良好 0.74超0.75未満
良好でない 0.74以下
〔温熱具2の製造〕
前記実施例1の「発熱体13の製造」における基材層Rに塗布する発熱粉体水分散物の1セルあたりの量を1.6g/25cm2とし、前記実施例1の「発熱部18の製造」における香料の賦香量を0.445mg/cm2とし、かつ、シート171を表7に示した通気度のものに変更した以外は実施例1と同様の操作により温熱具2を製造した。
製造した温熱具2について、前記「発熱温度の測定」に記載した方法に従い、発熱測定を行った。結果を表7に示す。なお、「香り立ち」、「香りの変化」及び「粘着力」の評価結果についてはいずれも、実施例1と同じ活性炭量及び賦香量における評価結果(表3~6)と同じであった。
〔発熱粉体の製造〕
前記実施例1の「発熱粉体水分散物の製造」にて使用した鉄粉、活性炭、水道水、塩化ナトリウム及び前記「発熱体13の製造」にて使用した吸水性ポリマーを用い、次の手順に従って発熱粉体を製造した。
まず、鉄粉100質量部、吸水性ポリマー14.1質量部及び活性炭8質量部を混合し、次いで窒素雰囲気下にて15.1質量%の食塩水73質量部を混合し、発熱粉体を製造した。
前記実施例1の「発熱部18の製造」の発熱体13に替えて、前記にて得られた発熱粉体1.725gを窒素雰囲気下にて内寸5cm×5cmに調整した内袋17に入れ賦香した以外は、同様の操作により温熱具3を製造した。製造した温熱具3の活性炭量は1.084mg/cm2、賦香量は0.445mg/cm2であった。
前記得られた温熱具3について、「発熱特性」、「香り立ち」および「香りの変化」の評価及び「粘着力」の評価を行ったところ、次の結果となった。
・発熱特性(最高温度):53.7℃
・香り立ちの評価(7段階):3.0
・香りの変化の評価(4段階):0.3
・粘着力の評価(秒):87.0秒
・粘着力の評価(未賦香品に対する秒数の比):0.791
〔温熱具4の製造〕
前記実施例1の「発熱体13の製造」における基材層Rに塗布する発熱紛体水分散物の1セルあたりの量を1.6g/25cm2とし、前記実施例1の「発熱部18の製造」における香料の賦香量を0.445mg/cm2とし、前記実施例1の「温熱具1の製造」における第二粘着層15を図12に示すような配置とした以外は実施例1と同様の操作により温熱具4を製造した。なお、このとき第二粘着層15の合計面積は実施例1と同一とした。
前記得られた温熱具4について、「発熱特性」、「香り立ち」および「香りの変化」の評価及び「粘着力」の評価を行ったところ、次の結果となった。
・発熱特性(最高温度):55.2℃
・香り立ちの評価(7段階):3.0
・香りの変化の評価(4段階):0.3
・粘着力の評価(秒):108秒
・粘着力の評価(未賦香品に対する秒数の比):0.98
〔温熱具5の製造〕
前記実施例1の「発熱粉体水分散物の製造」において、被酸化性金属100質量部に対する炭素成分の量を6質量部、水の量を55質量部とし、前記「発熱体13の製造」において基材層Rに塗布する発熱粉体水分散物の1セルあたりの量を1.4g/25cm2とした以外は、実施例1と同様の操作により温熱具5を製造した。温熱具3における活性炭量は0.75mg/cm2であり、香料/活性炭質量比は0.593であった。
製造した温熱具5について、「発熱特性」、「香り立ち」および「香りの変化」の評価及び「粘着力」の評価を行ったところ、次の結果となった。なお、「発熱特性」、「粘着力」両者の結果が悪かったため、香りの評価は実施しなかった。
・発熱特性(最高温度):49.3℃
・粘着力の評価(秒):79秒
Claims (20)
- 通気性を有する第一シートと、
第二シートと、
前記第一シートおよび前記第二シートの間に介在配置され、被酸化性金属および炭素成分を含む発熱体と、
前記第一シートの外面のうち着用者側に適用される面に設けられた粘着層と、を備え、
前記第一シートの外面周縁部の少なくとも一部に、前記粘着層が設けられていない粘着層不在領域を有し、
下記関係(a)、(b)を満たし、香料により賦香されている、身体用の温熱具。
(a)前記温熱具中の前記炭素成分の含有量に対する前記香料の含有量の質量比(香料/炭素成分)が、0.2以上0.52以下
(b)前記温熱具中の前記炭素成分の含有量が、0.89mg/cm2以上 - 前記発熱体と前記第二シートとの間、又は前記第二シートに前記香料が賦香された繊維シート又は紙を含んで構成される、請求項1に記載の温熱具。
- 前記香料が、前記紙に賦香されている、請求項2に記載の温熱具。
- 前記発熱体が、内袋に収容され、前記第一シートと前記第二シートとの間に配置される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記内袋は、前記第一シート側に配置される第三シートと、前記第二シート側に配置される第四シートとの周縁部を接合することで構成されている、請求項4に記載の温熱具。
- 前記第三シートの通気度が、5000秒/100ml以下である、請求項5に記載の温熱具。
- 前記第四シートが実質的に通気性を有しない非通気性シートである、請求項5又は6に記載の温熱具。
- 前記第二シート及び前記第四シートで構成されるシート層全体の通気性が前記第一シート及び前記第三シートで構成されるシート層全体の通気性よりも低くなっている、請求項5乃至7のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記粘着層が、アクリル系樹脂、酢酸ビニル系樹脂、オレフィン系樹脂、ゴム系樹脂から選択される少なくとも1種以上を含む、請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記温熱具が、着用者身体の背面に粘着着用される、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記第一シート側からの平面視において、前記粘着層は、前記第一シートの前記発熱部が位置していない領域に設けられている、請求項1乃至10のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記粘着層は、前記第一シート側からの前記温熱具の平面視において、前記発熱体と一部重なるように設けられている、請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記粘着層は、
並列して一方向に延在するとともに離間する一対の第一粘着層と、
前記一対の前記第一粘着層の間の領域に配置されるとともに前記第一粘着層に倣って同方向に延在する第二粘着層と、
を有する請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。 - 前記温熱具の平面視において、前記発熱体が、前記第一粘着層と前記第二粘着層との間に形成された前記粘着層不在領域である露出領域に位置している、請求項13に記載の温熱具。
- 前記粘着層を覆う剥離紙が設けられている、請求項1乃至14のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記剥離紙は、少なくとも一対の剥離部からなり、
一方の前記剥離部は、一対の前記第一粘着層のうち一方の前記第一粘着層及び一対の前記第二粘着層を覆い、
他方の前記剥離部は、一対の前記第一粘着層のうち他方の前記第一粘着層を覆う、請求項15に記載の温熱具。 - 前記第二粘着層が前記温熱具の短手方向に延びる縦中心線の近傍に設けられている、請求項13乃至16のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 前記第二粘着層が複数設けられており、複数の前記第二粘着層同士は互いに離間することで前記粘着層が設けられていない前記粘着層不在領域が形成されている、請求項13乃至17のいずれか一項に記載の温熱具。
- 複数の前記第二粘着層は、前記温熱具の前記縦中心線を挟んで対称位置に配置されている、請求項18に記載の温熱具。
- 前記縦中心線が前記温熱具の折り曲げ線であり、当該折り曲げ線上には前記粘着層が存在しない、請求項19に記載の温熱具。
