Abstract

 折り曲げ時に誘電体素体に破損が生じることを抑制できる回路基板を提供することである。 誘電体素体(12)は、表面(S1)及び裏面(S2)を有し、使用時に折り曲げられない基板領域(A1)及び使用時に表面(S1)が裏面(S2)よりも外周側に位置するように折り曲げられる接続領域(A3)を有する。回路部(18a-1)は、基板領域(A1)において、誘電体素体(12)の接続領域(A3)の厚み方向の中心よりも表面(S1)側に設けられている。回路部(18d-1,18e-1)は、基板領域(A1)において、誘電体素体(12)の接続領域(A3)の厚み方向の中心よりも裏面(S2)側に設けられ、かつ、基板領域(A1)と接続領域(A3)との境界に位置している。回路部(18a-1)は、回路部(18d-1,18e-1)よりも接続領域(S3)から離れている。

Description

回路基板
 本発明は、回路基板に関し、より特定的には、折り曲げて用いられる回路基板に関する。
 従来の回路基板に関する発明としては、例えば、特許文献1に記載のプリント基板が知られている。図38は、特許文献1に記載のプリント基板500の断面構造図である。図39は、特許文献1に記載のプリント基板500が折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 プリント基板500は、図38に示すように、4層構造基板部500a、放熱構造基板部500b及び接続構造基板部500cを備えている。4層構造基板部500a、放熱構造基板部500b及び接続構造基板部500cは、絶縁基材523a~523fが積層されて構成されている。より詳細には、絶縁基材523cは左右方向に延在している。4層構造基板部500aは、絶縁基材523a,523bが絶縁基材523cの左端近傍上に積層され、絶縁基材523dが絶縁基材523cの左端近傍下に積層されることにより構成されている。また、放熱構造基板部500bは、絶縁基材523eが絶縁基材523cの右端近傍上に積層され、絶縁基材523fが絶縁基材523cの右端近傍下に積層されることにより構成されている。接続構造基板部500cは、4層構造基板部500aと放熱構造基板部500bとの間の部分である。
 以上のようなプリント基板500では、4層構造基板部500a及び放熱構造基板部500bの厚みは、接続構造基板部500cの厚みよりも大きい。これにより、接続構造基板部500cは、4層構造基板部500a及び放熱構造基板部500bよりも変形しやすい。そこで、プリント基板500が用いられる際には、接続構造基板部500cが折り曲げられて用いられる。
 しかしながら、特許文献1に記載のプリント基板500では、図39に示すように、4層構造基板部500aと接続構造基板部500cとの境界近傍において、接続構造基板部500cに破損が発生しやすい。
 より詳細には、接続構造基板部500cが折り曲げられると、接続構造基板部500cの外周側の主面近傍には引っ張り応力が働く。そのため、接続構造基板部500cの外周側の主面近傍は伸びる。ただし、図38及び図39に示すように、4層構造基板部500aでは、絶縁基材523cの上側に絶縁基材523a,523bが積層され、絶縁基材523cの下側に絶縁基材523dが積層されている。そのため、4層構造基板部500aにおける絶縁基材523cは、接続構造基板部500cにおける絶縁基材523cに比べて伸びにくい。よって、接続構造基板部500cが折り曲げられると、4層構造基板部500aにおける絶縁基材523cの伸びを補うように、接続構造基板部500cの絶縁基材523cが余分に伸びる。その結果、4層構造基板部500aと接続構造基板部500cとの境界近傍において、接続構造基板部500cの絶縁基材523cに破損が発生するおそれがある。

 そこで、本発明の目的は、折り曲げ時に誘電体素体に破損が生じることを抑制できる回路基板を提供することである。
 本発明の一形態に係る回路基板は、第1の主面及び第2の主面を有する板状の誘電体素体であって、使用時に折り曲げられない第1の領域及び使用時に該第1の主面が該第2の主面よりも外周側に位置するように折り曲げられる第2の領域を有する誘電体素体と、前記第1の領域において、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の領域の厚み方向の中心よりも前記第1の主面側に設けられている第1の補強部材と、前記第1の領域において、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の領域の厚み方向の中心よりも前記第2の主面側に設けられ、かつ、該第1の領域と該第2の領域との境界に位置している第2の補強部材と、を備えており、前記第1の補強部材は、前記第2の補強部材よりも前記第2の領域から離れており、前記第1の主面は、該第1の主面の法線方向から平面視したときに、前記第1の補強部材において前記第2の領域に最も近い第1の端部と重なる位置から使用時に湾曲し、前記第2の主面は、該第2の主面の法線方向から平面視したときに、前記第2の補強部材において前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との境界に位置する第2の端部と重なる位置から使用時に湾曲すること、を特徴とする回路基板。
 本発明によれば、折り曲げ時に誘電体素体に破損が生じることを抑制できる。

 以下に、本発明の実施形態に係る回路基板について図面を参照しながら説明する。
(回路基板の構成)
 以下に、本発明の一実施形態に係る回路基板の構成について図面を参照しながら説明する。図1A及び図1Bは、本発明の一実施形態に係る回路基板10の断面構造図である。図2及び図3は、図1Aの回路基板10の誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図1Aは、信号線路20bを含む断面構造図であり、図1Bは、信号線路20aを含む断面構造図である。図4は、図1Aの回路基板10の誘電体素体12の分解図である。図5は、図1Aの回路基板10が折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。以下では、回路基板10の積層方向をz軸方向と定義する。また、回路基板10の長手方向をx軸方向と定義し、x軸方向及びz軸方向に直交する方向をy軸方向と定義する。
 回路基板10は、例えば、携帯電話等の電子機器内において用いられ、フレキシブル部を有する回路基板である。回路基板10は、図1Aないし図3に示すように、誘電体素体12、信号線路20a~20c、外部端子21a,21b、回路導体22b,22d及びビアホール導体v,v7,v8を備えている。また、回路基板10には、後述するように、集積回路100及びコネクタ110が実装される。
 誘電体素体12は、図1Aに示すように、表面S1及び裏面S2を有する可撓性の板状部材である。表面S1は、誘電体素体12のz軸方向の正方向側の主面であり、裏面S2は、誘電体素体12のz軸方向の負方向側の主面である。また、誘電体素体12は、z軸方向から平面視したときに、図2及び図3に示すように、x軸方向に延在する長方形状をなしており、基板領域A1,A2及び接続領域A3を有している。そして、接続領域A3は、誘電体素体12のx軸方向の中央付近を占めている。基板領域A1は、接続領域A3に対してx軸方向の負方向側に隣接している。基板領域A2は、接続領域A3に対してx軸方向の正方向側に隣接している。誘電体素体12は、図1Aに示すように、誘電体シート18a~18eがz軸方向の正方向側から負方向側へとこの順に積層されて構成されている積層体である。
 誘電体シート18a~18eは、ポリイミドや液晶ポリマ等の可撓性を有する熱可塑性樹脂により構成されているシートである。以下では、誘電体シート18a~18eのz軸方向の正方向側の主面を表面と称し、誘電体シート18a~18eのz軸方向の負方向側の主面を裏面と称す。
 誘電体シート18aは、図4に示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、2つの長方形状をなす基板部18a-1,18a-2により構成されている。
 誘電体シート18bは、図4に示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、誘電体素体12と略同じ形状をなしており、x軸方向に延在する長方形状をなしている。誘電体シート18bは、基板部18b-1,18b-2及び接続部18b-3により構成されている。
誘電体シート18cは、図4に示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、誘電体素体12と略同じ形状をなしており、x軸方向に延在する長方形状をなしている。誘電体シート18cは、基板部18c-1,18c-2及び接続部18c-3により構成されている。
 誘電体シート18dは、図4に示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、2つの長方形状をなす基板部18d-1,18d-2により構成されている。誘電体シート18eは、図4に示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、2つの長方形状をなす基板部18e-1,18e-2により構成されている。
 誘電体素体12の接続領域A3は、接続部18b-3,18c-3が積層されて構成されている。誘電体素体12の基板領域A1は、図4に示すように、基板部18a-1~18e-1が積層されて構成されている。すなわち、基板部18b-1のz軸方向の正方向側に基板部18a-1が積層され、基板部18c-1のz軸方向の負方向側に基板部18d-1,18e-1が積層されている。よって、基板部18a-1は、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3のz軸方向(厚み方向)の中心よりも表面S1側に設けられている。また、基板部18d-1,18e-1は、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3のz軸方向(厚み方向)の中心よりも裏面S2側に設けられている。
 また、誘電体素体12の基板領域A2は、図4に示すように、基板部18a-2~18e-2が積層されて構成されている。すなわち、基板部18b-2のz軸方向の正方向側に基板部18a-2が積層され、基板部18c-2のz軸方向の負方向側に基板部18d-2,18e-2が積層されている。よって、基板部18a-2は、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3のz軸方向(厚み方向)の中心よりも表面S1側に設けられている。また、基板部18d-2,18e-2は、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3のz軸方向(厚み方向)の中心よりも裏面S2側に設けられている。
 これにより、誘電体素体12の表面S1は、基板部18a-1,18a-2,18b-1,18b-2及び接続部18b-3の表面により構成されている。また、誘電体素体12の裏面S2は、基板部18e-1,18e-2及び接続部18c-3の裏面により構成されている。
 また、基板部18d-1,18e-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。これにより、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界は、z軸方向から平面視したときに、基板部18d-1,18e-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺と一致している。基板部18d-2,18e-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。これにより、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界は、z軸方向から平面視したときに、基板部18d-2,18e-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺と一致している。
 一方、基板部18a-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界よりもx軸方向の負方向側に設けられている。これにより、基板部18a-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺と、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界とはx軸方向に離れている。よって、基板部18a-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部18d-1,18e-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりも接続領域A3からx軸方向の負方向側に離れている。
 同様に、基板部18a-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界よりもx軸方向の正方向側に設けられている。これにより、基板部18a-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺と、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界とはx軸方向に離れている。よって、基板部18a-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部18d-2,18e-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりも接続領域A3からx軸方向の正方向側に離れている。
 以上のように、基板部18a-1,18a-2,18d-1,18d-2,18e-1,18e-2が配置されることにより、図1Aに示すように、端部t1と端部t2との距離l1は、端部t3と端部t4との距離l2よりも大きくなっている。端部t1は、基板部18a-1のx軸方向の正方向側の端部(短辺)である。端部t2は、基板部18a-2のx軸方向の負方向側の端部(短辺)である。端部t3は、基板部18d-1,18e-1のx軸方向の正方向側の端部(短辺)である。端部t4は、基板部18d-2,18e-2のx軸方向の負方向側の端部(短辺)である。
 また、誘電体素体12の基板領域A1,A2のz軸方向の厚みD1は、誘電体シート18a,18d,18eの厚みの分だけ、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3のz軸方向の厚みD2よりも大きくなっている。これにより、回路基板10では、基板部18a-1,18d-1,18e-1が誘電体素体12の基板領域A1の補強部材として機能している。同様に、基板部18a-2,18d-2,18e-2が誘電体素体12の基板領域A2の補強部材として機能している。これにより、接続領域A3は、基板領域A1,A2よりも変形しやすい。そこで、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3は、図5に示すように、使用時に表面S1が裏面S2よりも外周側に位置するように折り曲げられる。一方、誘電体素体12の基板領域A1,A2は、図5に示すように、使用時に折り曲げられない。
 信号線路20a~20cは、例えば、高周波信号が伝送され、図4に示すように、誘電体素体12内に設けられている線状導体である。本実施形態では、信号線路20a~20cは、誘電体シート18cの表面上に形成されており、基板領域A1、基板領域A2及び接続領域A3にまたがるようにx軸方向に延在する直線状の導体である。信号線路20a~20cは、銀や銅を主成分とする比抵抗の小さな金属材料により作製されている。ここで、信号線路20a~20cが誘電体シート18cの表面に形成されているとは、誘電体シート18cの表面にめっきにより形成された金属箔がパターニングされて信号線路20a~20cが形成されていることや、誘電体シート18cの表面に張り付けられた金属箔がパターニングされて信号線路20a~20cが形成されていることを指す。また、信号線路20a~20cの表面には平滑化が施されるので、信号線路20a~20cにおいて誘電体シート18cに接している面の表面粗さは、信号線路20a~20cにおいて誘電体シート18cに接していない面の表面粗さよりも大きくなる。
 外部端子21aは、図2に示すように、基板部18a-1の表面上に形成されている矩形状の複数の導体である。外部端子21a上には、図1Aに示すように、集積回路100が実装される。外部端子21bは、図2に示すように、基板部18a-2の表面上に形成されている矩形状の複数の導体である。外部端子21b上には、図1Aに示すように、コネクタ110が実装される。外部端子21a,21bが基板部18a-1,18a-2の表面に形成されているとは、基板部18a-1,18a-2の表面にめっきにより形成された金属箔がパターニングされて外部端子21a,21bが形成されていることや、基板部18a-1,18a-2の表面に張り付けられた金属箔がパターニングされて外部端子21a,21bが形成されていることを指す。
 回路導体22bは、基板部18b-1,18b-2の表面上に形成されている導体であり、誘電体素体12の基板領域A1,A2内に設けられているコイルやコンデンサ、配線等である。回路導体22bが基板部18b-1,18b-2の表面に形成されているとは、基板部18b-1,18b-2の表面にめっきにより形成された金属箔がパターニングされて回路導体22bが形成されていることや、基板部18b-1,18b-2の表面に張り付けられた金属箔がパターニングされて回路導体22bが形成されていることを指す。
 回路導体22dは、基板部18d-1,18d-2の裏面上に形成されている導体であり、誘電体素体12の基板領域A1,A2内に設けられているコイルやコンデンサ、配線等である。回路導体22dが基板部18d-1,18d-2の裏面に形成されているとは、基板部18d-1,18d-2の裏面にめっきにより形成された金属箔がパターニングされて回路導体22dが形成されていることや、基板部18d-1,18d-2の裏面に張り付けられた金属箔がパターニングされて回路導体22dが形成されていることを指す。
 ビアホール導体vは、基板部18a-1をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、外部端子21aと回路導体22bとを接続している。ビアホール導体vは、基板部18a-1をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。なお、ビアホール導体vは、図示しないが、誘電体素体12において基板部18a-1以外の部分にも設けられている。
 ビアホール導体v7は、図1Bに示すように、基板部18b-1をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、回路導体22bと信号線路20aとを接続している。ビアホール導体v7は、基板部18b-1をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。また、ビアホール導体v7のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径は、ビアホール導体v7のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径よりも大きい。これにより、ビアホール導体v7は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。
 ビアホール導体v8は、図1Bに示すように、基板部18b-2をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、回路導体22bと信号線路20aとを接続している。ビアホール導体v8は、基板部18b-2をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。また、ビアホール導体v8のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径は、ビアホール導体v8のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径よりも大きい。これにより、ビアホール導体v8は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。
 集積回路100は、半導体集積回路であり、例えば、回路基板10が用いられる電子機器の駆動回路である。集積回路100は、前記の通り、基板領域A1に設けられている外部端子21a上に実装される。コネクタ110は、マザーボード等に設けられたコネクタに対して接続される外部接続用のコネクタである。コネクタ110は、前記の通り、基板領域A2に設けられている外部端子21b上に実装される。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10は、図5に示すように、接続領域A3が折り曲げられて用いられる。より詳細には、前記の通り、基板領域A1には、補強部材として機能する基板部18a-1,18d-1,18e-1が設けられ、基板領域A2には、補強部材として機能する基板部18a-2,18d-2,18e-2が設けられている。一方、接続領域A3には、補強部材が設けられていない。そのため、接続領域A3は、基板領域A1,A2に比べて変形しやすい。よって、回路基板10では、接続領域A3を曲げることが可能である。そこで、図5に示すように、表面S1が裏面S2よりも外周側に位置するように、誘電体素体12の接続領域A3を折り曲げる。
 誘電体素体12の接続領域A3が折り曲げられると、接続部18b-3の表面近傍に引っ張り応力が発生する。そして、接続部18b-3において発生した引っ張り応力によって、基板部18b-1の表面近傍にも引っ張り応力が発生する。ここで、基板部18a-1は、図5に示すように、基板部18d-1,18e-1よりも接続領域A3からx軸方向に離れている。すなわち、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの表面S1は、誘電体シート18b(より正確には、基板部18b-1)の表面により構成されている。したがって、表面S1は、回路基板10の使用時には、z軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t1と重なる位置から湾曲する。ただし、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの表面S1の曲率は、接続領域A3の表面S1の曲率よりも小さい。
 一方、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの裏面S2は、誘電体シート18e(より正確には、基板部18e-1)の裏面により構成されている。そのため、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの裏面S2と接続領域A3における裏面S2との間には段差が存在する。よって、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの裏面S2は、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの表面S1のように湾曲しない。よって、裏面S2は、回路基板10の使用時には、z軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t3と重なる位置から湾曲する。
 なお、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの裏面S2も、僅かに湾曲してもよい。ただし、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から基板部18a-1の端部t1までの裏面S2の曲率は、接続領域A3の裏面S2の曲率よりもはるかに小さい。
 なお、表面S1は、回路基板10の使用時には、x軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t2と重なる位置から湾曲する。同様に、裏面S2は、回路基板10の使用時には、x軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t4と重なる位置から湾曲する。ただし、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界における誘電体素体12の湾曲は、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界における誘電体素体12の湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
(回路基板の製造方法)
 以下に、回路基板10の製造方法について図面を参照しながら説明する。図6は、回路基板10の誘電体素体12が圧着される際の工程断面図である。図7は、誘電体素体12が折り曲げられる際の工程断面図である。以下では、一つの回路基板10が作製される場合を例にとって説明するが、実際には、大判の誘電体シートが積層及びカットされることにより、同時に複数の回路基板10が作製される。
 まず、一方の主面の全面に銅箔(金属膜)が形成された熱可塑性樹脂からなる誘電体シート18a~18dを準備する。具体的には、誘電体シート18a~18dの一方の主面に銅箔を張り付ける。更に、誘電体シート18a~18dの銅箔の表面に、例えば、防錆のための亜鉛鍍金を施して、平滑化する。誘電体シート18a~18dは、液晶ポリマである。また、銅箔の厚さは、10μm~20μmである。また、銅箔が形成されていない熱可塑性樹脂からなる誘電体シート18eを準備する。
 次に、誘電体シート18aの表面上に形成された銅箔をパターニングすることにより、図2に示すように、外部端子21a,21bを誘電体シート18aの表面上に形成する。具体的には、誘電体シート18aの表面の銅箔上に、図2に示す外部端子21a,21bと同じ形状のレジストを印刷する。そして、銅箔に対してエッチング処理を施すことにより、レジストにより覆われていない部分の銅箔を除去する。その後、レジスト除去液を吹き付けてレジストを除去する。これにより、図2に示すような、外部端子21a,21bが誘電体シート18aの表面上にフォトリソグラフィ工程により形成される。
 次に、図1Aに示すように、回路導体22bを誘電体シート18bの表面上に形成する。また、図1Aに示すように、信号線路20a~20cを誘電体シート18cの表面上に形成する。また、図1Aに示すように、回路導体22dを誘電体シート18dの裏面上に形成する。なお、信号線路20a~20c及び回路導体22b,22dの形成工程は、外部端子21a,21bの形成工程と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 次に、誘電体シート18aのビアホール導体vが形成される位置にレーザービームを照射することによって貫通孔を形成する。なお、レーザービームは、銅箔が設けられていない側の主面(裏面)から照射する。これにより、貫通孔のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径は、貫通孔のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径よりも大きくなる。また、ビアホール導体vに対応する貫通孔に導電性ペーストを充填する。なお、ビアホール導体vと同様の工程でビアホール導体v7,v8を形成する。
 次に、図6に示すように、誘電体シート18a~18eをz軸方向の正方向側から負方向側へとこの順に積み重ね、圧着処理及び加熱処理を施す。具体的には、誘電体素体12のz軸方向の正方向側にクッション材M1を重ね、誘電体素体12のz軸方向の負方向側にクッション材M2を重ねる。そして、z軸方向の両側から金型T1,T2によりクッション材M1,M2を挟んで、誘電体素体12を圧着する。この際、誘電体素体12に対して加熱処理を施す。これにより、誘電体シート18a~18eが軟化すると共に、貫通孔内の導電性ペーストが固化する。これにより、誘電体シート18a~18eが接合される。
 次に、誘電体素体12を加熱しながら、図7に示すように、金型を用いて接続領域A3を折り曲げる。その後、誘電体素体12を冷却する。これにより、接続領域A3が折り曲げられた状態を維持するようになる。
 最後に、基板領域A1の表面に集積回路100を実装し、基板領域A2の表面にコネクタ110を実装する。以上の工程により、回路基板10が完成する。
(効果)
 以上のように構成された回路基板10によれば、折り曲げ時に誘電体素体12に破損が生じることを抑制できる。より詳細には、回路基板10の使用時には、接続領域A3が折り曲げられる。接続領域A3が折り曲げられると、前記の通り、表面S1は、回路基板10の使用時には、z軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t1と重なる位置から湾曲する(図5参照)。この際、基板領域A1における基板部18b-1が接続領域A3における接続部18b-3と同様に伸びる。よって、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍において応力が集中することを抑制でき、接続部18b-3に破損が生じることが抑制される。なお、同じ理由により、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍において、接続部18b-3に破損が生じることが抑制される。
 また、回路基板10では、補強部材として基板部18a-1,18d-1,18e-1が設けられている。これにより、誘電体素体12が折り曲げられる位置は、基板部18a-1の端部t1及び基板部18d-1,18e-1の端部t3により定まるようになる。そのため、誘電体素体12が折り曲げられる位置にばらつきが発生することが抑制される。よって、電子機器の筐体やバッテリーパック等の金属体に回路基板10が貼り付けられた際に、これらの金属体と回路基板10との位置関係にばらつきが発生することが抑制される。その結果、回路基板10内の信号線路20a~20cと金属体との距離にばらつきが発生することが抑制され、信号線路20a~20cと金属体との間に発生する容量の大きさにばらつきが発生することが抑制される。以上より、信号線路20a~20cの特性変化することが抑制される。
 さらに、回路基板10では、補強部材としてx軸方向の正方向側に基板部18a-1が設けられ、x軸方向の負方向側に18d-1,18e-1が設けられている。これにより回路基板10の折り曲げを両面からガイドすることが可能となり、容易に折り曲げることができる。
 ところで、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から端部t1までの距離を距離l3(図1A参照)とする。この場合、距離l3と接続領域A3の厚みD2との間には以下の式(1)が成立していることが望ましい。
D2/4≦l3≦2・D2 ・・・(1)
 距離l3がD2/4よりも小さくなると、誘電体素体12の破損を十分に抑制する効果が小さくなる。一方、距離l3が2・D2よりも大きくなると、基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界から端部t1までの表面S1及び裏面S2がやや大きく湾曲し、実質的に折れ曲がりを生じ、折れ曲がり位置が変わってしまう可能性があるからである。
 なお、上記の観点から距離l3と接続領域A3の厚みD2との間には以下の式(2)が成立していることがさらに望ましい。
D2/2≦l3≦1.5・D2 ・・・(2)
 また、回路基板10では、ビアホール導体v7,v8と信号線路20aとの間で断線が発生することが抑制される。より詳細には、回路基板10が接続領域A3において折り曲げられると、基板領域A1において信号線路20aがx軸方向の正方向側に引っ張られ、基板領域A2において信号線路20aがx軸方向の負方向側に引っ張られる。そのため、信号線路20aとビアホール導体v7,v8との間に力が働き、これらが断線しようとする。そこで、回路基板10では、ビアホール導体v7,v8は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。これにより、信号線路20aとビアホール導体v7,v8との接触面積が大きくなり、これらがより強固に接続されるようになる。その結果、回路基板10では、ビアホール導体v7,v8と信号線路20aとの間で断線が発生することが抑制される。
 なお、ビアホール導体v7,v8が接続される導体は、信号線路20aに限らず、その他の導体であってもよく、基板領域A1と接続領域A3とに跨っているか、又は、基板領域A2と接続領域A3とに跨っていればよい。
(第1の変形例)
 以下に、第1の変形例に係る回路基板10aについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図8は、第1の変形例に係る回路基板10aの断面構造図である。図9及び図10は、図8の回路基板10aの誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図11は、図8の回路基板10aの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図12は、図8の回路基板10aが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 回路基板10aは、誘電体シート18a,18eの代わりに、保護層14,15を備えている点、及び、外部端子21a,21bが誘電体シート18bの表面上に設けられている点において、回路基板10と相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10aについて説明する。
 外部端子21a,21bはそれぞれ、図8及び図9に示すように、誘電体シート18bの基板部18b-1,18b-2の表面上に設けられている。
 保護層14は、例えば、樹脂からなるレジスト層であり、誘電体素体12に設けられている回路導体22bを覆っている。保護層14は、誘電体素体12の一部を構成しており、基板部14-1,14-2を備えている。基板部14-1,14-2はそれぞれ、図9に示すように、基板領域A1,A2においてz軸方向の最も正方向側に積層されている。ただし、外部端子21a,21bが露出するように、外部端子21a,21bの周囲には基板部14-1,14-2が設けられていない。よって、保護層14の表面は、誘電体素体12の表面S1の一部を構成している。
 保護層15は、例えば、樹脂からなるレジスト層である。保護層15は、誘電体素体12の一部を構成しており、基板部15-1,15-2を備えている。基板部15-1,15-2はそれぞれ、図10に示すように、基板領域A1,A2においてz軸方向の最も負方向側に積層されている。よって、保護層15の裏面は、誘電体素体12の裏面S2の一部を構成している。
 更に、基板部14-1,15-1は、図8ないし図11に示すように、回路基板10の基板部18a-1,18d-1,18e-1と同様に、基板領域A1の補強部材として機能する。そして、基板部15-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。また、基板部14-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部15-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の負方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 また、基板部14-2,15-2は、図8ないし図11に示すように、回路基板10の基板部18a-2,18d-2,18e-2と同様に、基板領域A2の補強部材として機能する。そして、基板部15-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。また、基板部14-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部15-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の正方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 回路基板10aは、図12に示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。ただし、回路基板10aにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10における基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。同様に、回路基板10aにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10における基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10aは、回路基板10と同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
(第2の変形例)
 以下に、第2の変形例に係る回路基板10bについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図13は、第2の変形例に係る回路基板10bの断面構造図である。図14及び図15は、図13の回路基板10bの誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図16は、図13の回路基板10bの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図17は、図13の回路基板10bが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 回路基板10bは、保護層14,15の代わりに、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bを備えている点において、回路基板10aと相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10bについて説明する。
 金属板32aは、例えば、ステンレス製の金属板であり、図13、図15及び図16に示すように、基板領域A1の裏面S2上に設けられている。金属板32aは、例えば、接着剤により基板領域A1の裏面S2に貼り付けられており補強部材として機能する。金属板32aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。
 金属板30aは、例えば、ステンレス製の金属板であり、図13、図14及び図16に示すように、基板領域A1の表面S1上に設けられている。金属板30aは、例えば、接着剤により基板領域A1の表面S1に貼り付けられており補強部材として機能する。金属板30aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、金属板32aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の負方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 金属板32bは、例えば、ステンレス製の金属板であり、図13、図15及び図16に示すように、基板領域A2の裏面S2上に設けられている。金属板32bは、例えば、接着剤により基板領域A2の裏面S2に貼り付けられており補強部材として機能する。金属板32bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。
 金属板30bは、例えば、ステンレス製の金属板であり、図13、図15及び図16に示すように、基板領域A2の表面S1上に設けられている。金属板30bは、例えば、接着剤により基板領域A2の表面S1に貼り付けられており補強部材として機能する。金属板30bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、金属板32bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の正方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 なお、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bは、他の回路導体には接続されていない。よって、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bの電位は、回路基板10bの使用時には浮遊電位となる。浮遊電位とは、グランド電位と信号線路20a~20cの電位との間の電位である。したがって、折り曲げ後に金属板30a,30b,32a,32bが仮に湾曲した場合でも周囲の回路に影響を及ぼしにくい。
 回路基板10bは、図17に示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。ただし、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10aにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。同様に、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10aにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10bは、回路基板10aと同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
(第3の変形例)
 以下に、第3の変形例に係る回路基板10cについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図18は、第3の変形例に係る回路基板10cの断面構造図である。図19及び図20は、図18の回路基板10cの誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図21は、図18の回路基板10cの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図22は、図18の回路基板10cが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。図23は、回路基板10cの誘電体素体12が圧着される際の工程断面図である。
 回路基板10cは、主に、誘電体シート18a~18eが積層されている点、及び、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bが誘電体素体12に内蔵されている点において、回路基板10bと相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10cについて説明する。
 誘電体素体12は、図18及び図21に示すように、誘電体シート18a~18eが積層されて構成されている。誘電体シート18a~18eは、z軸方向から平面視したときに、誘電体素体12と同じ形状を成している。なお、回路基板10cの信号線路20a~20c、外部端子21a,21b及び回路導体22b,22dについては、回路基板10の信号線路20a~20c、外部端子21a,21b及び回路導体22b,22dと同じであるので説明を省略する。
 金属板32aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置しており、接続領域A3のz軸方向の中心よりも裏面S2側に設けられている。金属板30aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において金属板32aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の負方向側に接続領域A3から離れており、接続領域A3のz軸方向の中心よりも表面S1側に設けられている。
 金属板32bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置しており、接続領域A3のz軸方向の中心よりも裏面S2側に設けられている。金属板30bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において金属板32bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の正方向側に接続領域A3から離れており、接続領域A3のz軸方向の中心よりも表面S1側に設けられている。
 回路基板10cは、図22に示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。ただし、回路基板10cにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。同様に、回路基板10cにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 ところで、回路基板10cでは、図23に示すように、誘電体素体12の圧着の際に、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bを誘電体素体12内に埋め込む。より詳細には、金属板30a,30bを誘電体シート18a,18b間に配置するとともに、金属板32a,32bを誘電体シート18d,18e間に配置する。そして、クッション材M1,M2及び金型T1,T2を用いて誘電体素体12を圧着する。なお、回路基板10cの他の製造工程については、回路基板10と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10cは、回路基板10bと同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
 また、回路基板10cでは、誘電体素体12の圧着の際に、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bを誘電体素体12内に埋め込んでいる。そのため、誘電体素体12の圧着後に金属板30a,30b,32a,32bを接着剤により貼り付ける必要がない。
(第4の変形例)
 以下に、第4の変形例に係る回路基板10dについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図24は、第4の変形例に係る回路基板10dの断面構造図である。図25及び図26は、図24の回路基板10dの誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図27は、図24の回路基板10dの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図28は、図24の回路基板10dが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 回路基板10dは、金属板30a,30b,32a,32bの代わりに補強導体34a,34b,36a,36bを備えている点において、回路基板10bと相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10dについて説明する。
 補強導体36aは、例えば、誘電体シート18dの裏面上に形成された導体であり、図24、図26及び図27に示すように、基板領域A1の裏面S2上に設けられている。補強導体36aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。
 補強導体34aは、例えば、誘電体シート18bの表面上に形成された導体である。補強導体34aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、図24、図25及び図27に示すように、補強導体36aのx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の負方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 補強導体36bは、例えば、誘電体シート18dの裏面上に形成された導体であり、図24、図26及び図27に示すように、基板領域A2の裏面S2上に設けられている。補強導体36bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。
 補強導体34bは、例えば、誘電体シート18bの表面上に形成された導体である。補強導体34bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、図24、図25及び図27に示すように、補強導体36bのx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりもx軸方向の正方向側に接続領域A3から離れている。
 なお、補強導体34a,34b,36a,36bは、他の回路導体には接続されていない。よって、補強導体34a,34b,36a,36bの電位は、回路基板10dの使用時には浮遊電位となる。浮遊電位とは、グランド電位と信号線路20a~20cの電位との間の電位である。
 回路基板10dは、図28に示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。ただし、回路基板10dにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。同様に、回路基板10dにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10bにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10dは、回路基板10bと同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
(第5の変形例)
 以下に、第5の変形例に係る回路基板10eについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図29は、第5の変形例に係る回路基板10eの断面構造図である。図30は、図29の回路基板10eの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図31は、図29の回路基板10eが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。図32は、回路基板10eの誘電体素体12が圧着される際の工程断面図である。
 回路基板10eは、ビアホール導体v1~v6を備えている点において、回路基板10dと相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10eについて説明する。
 ビアホール導体v1は、図29及び図30に示すように、誘電体シート18bをz軸方向に貫通しており、補強導体34aと信号線路20bとを接続している。ビアホール導体v2は、誘電体シート18cをz軸方向に貫通している。ビアホール導体v3は、誘電体シート18dをz軸方向に貫通している。ビアホール導体v2とビアホール導体v3とは、互いに接続されることにより1本のビアホール導体を構成している。ビアホール導体v2,v3は、信号線路20bと補強導体36aとを接続している。
 ビアホール導体v4は、図29及び図30に示すように、誘電体シート18bをz軸方向に貫通しており、補強導体34bと信号線路20bとを接続している。ビアホール導体v5は、誘電体シート18cをz軸方向に貫通している。ビアホール導体v6は、誘電体シート18dをz軸方向に貫通している。ビアホール導体v5とビアホール導体v6とは、互いに接続されることにより1本のビアホール導体を構成している。ビアホール導体v5,v6は、信号線路20bと補強導体36bとを接続している。
 回路基板10eは、図31に示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。ただし、回路基板10eにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10dにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。同様に、回路基板10eにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10dにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 ところで、回路基板10eでは、図32に示すように、誘電体素体12の圧着の際に、外部端子21a,21b及び補強導体34a,34bが誘電体シート18bの表面に位置し、信号線路20a~20cが誘電体シート18cの表面に位置し、補強導体36a,36bが誘電体シート18dの裏面に位置するように、誘電体シート18b~18dを積層する。そして、クッション材M1,M2及び金型T1,T2を用いて誘電体素体12を圧着する。なお、回路基板10eの他の製造工程については、回路基板10dと同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10eは、回路基板10dと同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
 また、回路基板10eでは、基板領域A1にはビアホール導体v1~v3が設けられ、基板領域A2にはビアホール導体v4~v6が設けられている。ビアホール導体v1~v6は、誘電体シート18b~18dに比べて硬い。よって、ビアホール導体v1~v3が基板領域A1に設けられることにより、基板領域A1が変形することが抑制される。同様に、ビアホール導体v4~v6が基板領域A2に設けられることにより、基板領域A2が変形することが抑制される。その結果、接続領域A3が折り曲げられた際に、基板領域A1,A2が変形することがより抑制されるようになる。よって、誘電体素体12が折り曲げられる位置にばらつきが発生することが抑制される。以上より、信号線路20a~20cの特性が変化することが抑制される。
(第6の変形例)
 以下に、第6の変形例に係る回路基板10fについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図33は、第6の変形例に係る回路基板10fの断面構造図である。図34及び図35は、図33の回路基板10fの誘電体素体12を平面視した図である。図36は、図33の回路基板10fの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図37Aは、図33の回路基板10fが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 回路基板10fは、保護層14,15の形状、及び、接続領域A3の折り曲げ方において、回路基板10aと相違する。以下では、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10fについて説明する。
 保護層14は、例えば、樹脂からなるレジスト層であり、誘電体素体12に設けられている回路導体22bを覆っている。保護層14は、誘電体素体12の一部を構成しており、基板部14-1,14-2を備えている。基板部14-1,14-2はそれぞれ、図33及び図34に示すように、基板領域A1,A2においてz軸方向の最も正方向側に積層されている。ただし、外部端子21a,21bが露出するように、外部端子21a,21bの周囲には基板部14-1,14-2が設けられていない。よって、保護層14の表面は、誘電体素体12の表面S1の一部を構成している。
 保護層15は、例えば、樹脂からなるレジスト層である。保護層15は、誘電体素体12の一部を構成しており、基板部15-1,15-2を備えている。基板部15-1,15-2はそれぞれ、図33及び図35に示すように、基板領域A1,A2においてz軸方向の最も負方向側に積層されている。よって、保護層15の裏面は、誘電体素体12の裏面S2の一部を構成している。
 更に、基板部14-1,15-1は、図33ないし図36に示すように、基板領域A1の補強部材として機能する。回路基板10fの基板部14-1,15-1は、回路基板10aの基板部14-1,15-1と同じである。すなわち、基板部15-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A1において基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。また、基板部14-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部15-1のx軸方向の正方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりも接続領域A3からx軸方向の負方向側に離れている。
 また、基板部14-2,15-2は、図33ないし図36に示すように、基板領域A2の補強部材として機能する。回路基板10fの基板部14-2,15-2の位置は、回路基板10aの基板部14-2,15-2の位置と相違する。より詳細には、基板部14-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板領域A2において基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界に位置している。また、基板部15-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺は、基板部14-2のx軸方向の負方向側においてy軸方向に延びる短辺よりも接続領域A3からx軸方向の正方向側に離れている。
 回路基板10fは、図37Aに示すように、接続領域A3においてS字状に折り曲げられて用いられる。具体的には、接続領域A3のx軸方向の中央よりもx軸方向の負方向側の部分は、表面S1が裏面S2よりも外周側に位置するように湾曲させられる。一方、接続領域A3のx軸方向の中央よりもx軸方向の正方向側の部分は、裏面S2が表面S1よりも外周側に位置するように湾曲させられる。
 ただし、回路基板10fにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲は、回路基板10aにおける基板領域A1と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲と同じであるので説明を省略する。
 以下に、回路基板10fにおける基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界近傍における湾曲について説明する。誘電体素体12の接続領域A3がS字状に折り曲げられると、裏面S2は、図37Aに示すように、z軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t4と重なる位置から湾曲する。ただし、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界から基板部15-2の端部t4までの裏面S2の曲率は、接続領域A3の裏面S2の曲率よりも小さい。
 また、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界から基板部15-2の端部t4までの表面S1は、基板領域A2と接続領域A3との境界から基板部15-2の端部t4までの裏面S2のように湾曲しない。よって、表面S1は、z軸方向から平面視したときに、端部t2と重なる位置から湾曲する。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10fは、回路基板10aと同様の作用効果を奏することができる。
(第7の変形例)
 以下に、第7の変形例に係る回路基板10gについて図面を参照しながら説明する。図37Bは、第7の変形例に係る回路基板10gの断面構造図である。図37Cは、図37Bの回路基板10gの誘電体素体12の分解図である。図37Dは、図37Bの回路基板10gが折り曲げられたときの断面構造図である。
 回路基板10gは、図37B及び図37Cに示すように、信号線路20a,20cが設けられている位置、及び、ビアホール導体v9~v11の有無において、回路基板10と相違する。以下に、かかる相違点を中心に回路基板10gについて説明する。
 回路基板10gでは、信号線路20a,20cは、誘電体シート18bの表面上に形成されている。
 また、ビアホール導体v9は、図37Bに示すように、基板部18a-1をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、外部端子21aと信号線路20aとを接続している。ビアホール導体v9は、基板部18a-1をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。また、ビアホール導体v9のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径は、ビアホール導体v9のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径よりも大きい。これにより、ビアホール導体v9は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。
 ビアホール導体v10は、図37Bに示すように、基板部18a-2をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、外部端子21bと信号線路20aとを接続している。ビアホール導体v10は、基板部18a-2をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。また、ビアホール導体v10のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径は、ビアホール導体v10のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径よりも大きい。これにより、ビアホール導体v10は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。
 ビアホール導体v11は、図37Bに示すように、基板部18b-2をz軸方向に貫通する層間接続導体であり、回路導体22cと信号線路20aとを接続している。ビアホール導体v11は、基板部18b-2をz軸方向に貫通するビアホールに対して導電性ペーストが充填されることにより形成される。また、ビアホール導体v11のz軸方向の正方向側の端部の直径は、ビアホール導体v11のz軸方向の負方向側の端部の直径よりも大きい。これにより、ビアホール導体v11は、太い方の端部において信号線路20aに対して接続されている。
 以上のように、回路基板10gでは、信号線路20aに対してz軸方向の正方向側から接続されるビアホール導体v9,v10については、z軸方向の負方向側の端部の方がz軸方向の正方向側の端部よりも太くなっている。また、信号線路20aに対してz軸方向の負方向側から接続されるビアホール導体v11については、z軸方向の正方向側の端部の方がz軸方向の負方向側の端部よりも太くなっている。
 以上のように構成された回路基板10gは、図37Dに示すように、接続領域A3において折り曲げられて用いられる。そして、回路基板10gにおいても、回路基板10と同様に、折り曲げ時に誘電体素体12に破損が生じることを抑制できる。
 また、回路基板10gでは、回路基板10と同様に、ビアホール導体v9~v11と信号線路20aとの間で断線が発生することが抑制される。
 なお、ビアホール導体v9~v11が接続される導体は、信号線路20aに限らず、その他の導体であってもよく、基板領域A1と接続領域A3とに跨っているか、又は、基板領域A2と接続領域A3とに跨っていればよい。
(その他の実施形態)
 本発明に係る回路基板は、回路基板10,10a~10gに限らず、その要旨の範囲内において変更可能である。
 なお、回路基板10,10a~10gでは、集積回路100の代わりにコネクタが実装されてもよい。また、回路基板10,10a~10fは、信号線路20a~20cに沿って延びる1以上のグランド導体を配置することによって、高周波信号を伝送する高周波信号線路として機能させてもよい。また、回路基板10,10a~10fは、アンテナフロントエンドモジュールなどRF回路基板における高周波信号線路として用いられてもよい。
 また、信号線路20a~20cは、アンテナ線や電源線などに用いる線路であってもよい。
 また、信号線路は複数に限らず、例えば1つ設けられていてもよい。また、信号線路は必ずしも設けられていなくても構わない。
 また、回路基板10,10a~10gの製造工程では、クッション材M1,M2を用いてプレスを行なっていたが、クッション材は必ずしも用いなくてもよい。例えば、回路基板の外形に対応するような金型を用いてプレスするようにしてもよい。
 なお、回路基板10,10a~10gは、コネクタ110を介さずに、基板領域A1,A2に設けられた外部端子を介してはんだによって他の回路基板に接続されてもよい。
 なお、回路基板10,10a~10gの構成を任意に組み合わせてもよい。
 以上のように、本発明は、回路基板に有用であり、折り曲げ時に誘電体素体に破損が生じることを抑制できる点において優れている。

Claims (11)

  1.  第1の主面及び第2の主面を有する板状の誘電体素体であって、使用時に折り曲げられない第1の領域及び使用時に該第1の主面が該第2の主面よりも外周側に位置するように折り曲げられる第2の領域を有する誘電体素体と、
     前記第1の領域において、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の領域の厚み方向の中心よりも前記第1の主面側に設けられている第1の補強部材と、
     前記第1の領域において、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の領域の厚み方向の中心よりも前記第2の主面側に設けられ、かつ、該第1の領域と該第2の領域との境界に位置している第2の補強部材と、
     を備えており、
     前記第1の補強部材は、前記第2の補強部材よりも前記第2の領域から離れており、
     前記第1の主面は、該第1の主面の法線方向から平面視したときに、前記第1の補強部材において前記第2の領域に最も近い第1の端部と重なる位置から使用時に湾曲し、
     前記第2の主面は、該第2の主面の法線方向から平面視したときに、前記第2の補強部材において前記第1の領域と前記第2の領域との境界に位置する第2の端部と重なる位置から使用時に湾曲すること、
     を特徴とする回路基板。
  2.  前記誘電体素体は、複数の誘電体層が積層されて構成されており、
     前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の一部を構成する前記誘電体層であり、
     前記第1の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の前記第1の主面の一部を構成しており、
     前記第2の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の主面の一部を構成していること、
     を特徴とする請求項1に記載の回路基板。
  3.  前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の一部を構成する保護層であり、
     前記第1の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の前記第1の主面の一部を構成しており、
     前記第2の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体の前記第2の主面の一部を構成していること、
     を特徴とする請求項1に記載の回路基板。
  4.  前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、金属板であること、
     を特徴とする請求項1に記載の回路基板。
  5.  前記第1の補強部材は、前記第1の主面上に設けられ、
     前記第2の補強部材は、前記第2の主面上に設けられていること、
     を特徴とする請求項4に記載の回路基板。
  6.  前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、前記誘電体素体内に設けられていること、
     を特徴とする請求項4に記載の回路基板。
  7.  前記誘電体素体に設けられている第1の導体を、
     更に備えており、
     前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、前記第1の導体の一部であること、
     を特徴とする請求項1に記載の回路基板。
  8.  前記第1の補強部材及び前記第2の補強部材は、他の導体と接続されていないこと、
     を特徴とする請求項4ないし請求項7のいずれかに記載の回路基板。
  9.  前記誘電体素体において前記第1の領域及び前記第2の領域にまたがって設けられている第2の導体を、
     更に備えていること、
     を特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項8のいずれかに記載の回路基板。
  10.  前記第2の導体に接続されているビアホール導体を、
     更に備えており、
     前記ビアホール導体の一方側の端部の直径は、前記ビアホール導体の他方側の端部の直径よりも大きく、
     前記ビアホール導体は、前記一方側の端部において前記第2の導体に対して接続されていること、
     を特徴とする請求項9に記載の回路基板。
  11.  前記第2の導体は、線状の信号線路であること、
