Claims (4)
- 互いに向き合う第1基板と第2基板を含む平面形態のディスプレイパネルを利用して所望の曲面形態の曲面ディスプレイパネルを製造する曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法であって、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の厚さが予め設定された厚さに減少するように外表面の少なくとも一部をそれぞれ削り出す段階、
曲面形状に曲げられた前記第1基板及び前記第2基板の外表面に、偏光板を取り付ける段階、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板の外表面の縁のうち、前記所望の曲面形態に成形された状態で曲がらない角部付近の縁領域に、前記偏光板の外表面の縁の少なくとも一部を覆うように固定層を形成する段階、および、
削り出された前記第1基板及び前記第2基板が前記所望の曲面形態に曲がった状態で、前記所望の曲面形態と同一な形態を有する光透過性補強プレートを、前記第1基板及び前記第2基板の削り出された外表面とに間隔を開けた状態で、前記固定層により前記第1基板及び前記第2基板に付着する段階を含み、
前記光透過性補強プレートは、前記第1基板及び前記第2基板の曲面形状を維持する曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。 - 前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外表面の少なくとも一部をそれぞれ削り出す段階において、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外表面のうち、前記所望の曲面形態に成形された状態で曲がらない角部付近の縁領域は削り出されなかった状態で残され、
前記固定層は、前記第1基板と前記第2基板の削り出されなかった状態で残された縁領域、および前記第1基板と前記第2基板の削り出された領域の一部を覆うように形成される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。 - 前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外表面の少なくとも一部をそれぞれ削り出す段階において、前記第1基板および前記第2基板の外表面の全部が削り出され、
前記固定層は、前記第1基板と前記第2基板の削り出された外表面の縁のうち、前記所望の曲面形態に成形された状態で曲がらない角部付近の縁領域に形成される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。 - 前記固定層は、紫外線硬化樹脂または熱硬化樹脂を硬化して形成されたり、光学性透明接着剤(OCA)で形成される、請求項1に記載の曲面ディスプレイパネル製造方法。
