- the conventional fiber structure sound absorbing material increases the surface density and thickness of the fiber assembly in order to increase the porosity and the sound wave dissipation path, thereby improving sound absorption performance and sound insulation performance.
- the fiber aggregates are hardened, so that the vibration transmitted to the matrix structure generated by the transmission of sound waves is not sufficiently attenuated and the sound absorption rate of the low frequency is lowered. There was a problem.
- a polymorphic cross-section fiber satisfying the following relational formula 1; And binder fibers for partially bonding a plurality of the polymorphic cross-sectional fibers.
- a large surface area and an air layer can be formed to cause viscous loss of incident sound energy, thereby improving sound absorption and transmission loss.
- Polymorphic cross-sectional fiber used in the present invention The ⁇ value calculated as (A: fiber cross-sectional area ( ⁇ m 2 ), P: length of the fiber cross-section perimeter ( ⁇ m)) satisfies 1.5 or more. And the sound absorption rate and transmission loss can be improved. If the value of ⁇ is less than 1.5, the fiber surface area is small, so that a large amount of fiber is required to effectively implement sound absorption performance, and thus there is a problem in that the design of light weight is impossible. The larger the value of ⁇ , the wider the surface area of the fiber. More preferably, the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber used in the present invention may have a value of ⁇ of 2.6 or more, and more preferably 3.0 to 7.0.
- ⁇ value of the polymorphic cross-sectional fibers used in the present invention exceeds 7.0, resulting in an increase in manufacturing cost, replacement of equipment related to improving cooling efficiency, a polymer modification for improving the solidification rate, and a decrease in productivity, resulting in an increase in manufacturing cost. Problems may arise.

- specific shapes such as the number of bending points, the length and width of the cross section, and the like may vary.
- the number of bending points in the wave shape means a point in which the direction changes in the longitudinal direction of the cross section. For example, the number of the bending points in the wave-shaped polymorphic cross-sectional fiber of FIG. 5 is four.
- Figure 1 is a hexagonal star-shaped polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, ⁇ value is 1.51
- Figure 2 is a three-bar flat polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention , eta value is 1.60.
- Figure 3 is a six-leaf polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention ⁇ value is 1.93
- Figure 4 is an eight-leaf polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, ⁇ value is 2.50
- Figure 5 is a wavy polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, ⁇ value is 2.5
- Figure 6 is an 8-leaf polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, ⁇ The value is 2.8
- Figure 7 is an 8-leaf polymorphic cross-sectional fiber according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, ⁇ value is 3.2.
- ⁇ of ordinary circular cross-section fibers is 1.0, so that the surface area is not wide enough so that the sound absorption and transmission loss are considerably reduced (see Comparative Example 1). Hexagonal star, 3-rod flat, 6-lobed, 8-lobed or wavy polymorphic cross-sectional fibers Even if the? Value does not satisfy 1.5 or more, the surface area capable of generating viscous loss of sound energy is not sufficient, so that it is not suitable for the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber used in the sound absorbing material of the present invention. (See Comparative Examples 2 to 5)
- the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber used in the present invention may have a L / W value of 2-3.
- L is the length abbreviation value, the length of the fiber in the longitudinal direction
- W represents the length width abbreviation value for the transverse direction connecting the vertex.
- FIG. 8 illustrates L and W values using an 8-leaf polymorphic cross-section fiber as an example, and in the case of an 8-leaf polymorphic cross-section fiber, the length is three lengths when the lengthwise direction is vertical. The distance from the vertex to the vertex at can be expressed as W.
- the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber used in the present invention may be more preferably 6 to 8 vertices. However, it is not specifically limited to the said L / W or the number of vertices, It is preferable if it is a polymorphic cross-section fiber which satisfy
- the length of the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber may be 35 to 65 mm, if less than 35mm wide gap between the fibers is difficult to form and produce a fiber assembly, there may be a problem that the sound absorption and sound insulation performance is degraded due to excessive porosity In the case of exceeding 65 mm, the gap between the fibers becomes too narrow so that the porosity may be lowered, thereby lowering the sound absorption rate.
- the fineness of the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber may be 1.0 to 7.0 De, and the smaller the fineness may be, the more effective it is to improve the flaw performance. If the fineness of the polymorphic cross-section fibers is less than 1.0 De, there may be a problem in controlling the optimum shape of the target cross-section. If it exceeds 7.0 De (denier), difficulties occur in the nonwoven fabric manufacturing process and when the fiber aggregate is manufactured. There may be a problem that the sound absorption performance is lowered.
- polyethylene terephthalate may be used, but is not particularly limited thereto, and is in the form of a fiber such as polypropylene (PP) and rayon. Any polymer that can be spun into and can be used as a sound absorbing material can be preferably used.
- the sound absorbing material of the present invention also includes binder fibers for partially joining a plurality of the above polymorphic cross-sectional fibers.
- the binder fiber may be a binder fiber that is commonly used in the manufacture of the fiber structure, may be used in the form of a powder as well as the fiber, more preferably may include a low melting point (LM) elastomer (Elastomer).
- Elastomer generally refers to a polymer material having remarkable elasticity, such as rubber, that is, a polymer having a property of stretching when applied by an external force and pulling back to its original length when the external force is removed.
- Preferred low melting point (LM) elastomers used in the present invention may exhibit an elastic recovery of 50 to 80%. If the elastic recovery rate is less than 50%, the fiber assembly may be hard and the flexibility may be insufficient, so that the sound absorbing performance may be lowered. If the recovery rate is higher than 80%, not only the manufacturing cost of the polymer itself may be increased but also the processability may be decreased when the fiber assembly is manufactured. .
- the binder fibers of the aggregates contain low melting point (LM) elastomers with an elastic recovery rate of 50 to 80% to increase the resilience modulus (ASTM D 3574) of the fibrous structure to 50 to 80%, ultimately inside the matrix. Vibration damping ability is transmitted to improve the sound absorption rate and transmission loss can be improved.
- LM low melting point
- ASTM D 3574 resilience modulus
- the low melting point (LM) elastomer may be a single or mixed form of polyester, polyamide, polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride or polyurethane.
- the low melting point (LM) elastomer is dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) or terephthalic acid (TPA) and isophthalic acid (Isophthalic acid).
- DMT dimethyl terephthalate
- DI dimethyl isophthalate
- TPA terephthalic acid
- Isophthalic acid isophthalic acid
- the acid component (Diacid) is dimethyl terephthalate (Dimethyl Terephthalate (DMT) and dimethyl isophthalate (Dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) or terephthalic acid (Terephthalic Acid (TPA) and isophthalic acid (Isophthalic Acid (IPA)) by using dimethyl terephthalate (IPA) (DMT) and terephthalic acid (TPA) react with the diol component to form crystal regions, and dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) and isophthalic acid (IPA) react with the diol components to form amorphous regions to impart low melting point function and elasticity. .
- the mixing ratio of the dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) and dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) is preferably prepared in a molar ratio of 0.65 ⁇ 0.80: 0.2 ⁇ 0.35, the mixing ratio of terephthalic acid (TPA) and isophthalic acid (IPA) is also molar ratio 0.65 ⁇ 0.80: It is preferable that it is manufactured by 0.2-0.35.
- the molar ratio of the dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) and isophthalic acid (IPA) is used less than the above range and the elastic recovery rate may be lowered, the low melting point function may not appear, dimethyl isophthalate (DMI) and isophthalic acid (IPA)
- the molar ratio of is used more than the above range, the physical properties may be lowered.
- the diol component (Diol) is 1,4-butanediol (1,4-Butanediol: 1,4-BD), polytetramethyleneglycol (Polytetramethyleneglycol (PTMG)) using a 1,4-butanediol is determined by reacting with the acid component The region is formed, and polytetramethylene glycol (PTMG) reacts with an acid component to form an amorphous region to impart low melting point function and elasticity.
- 1,4-butanediol 1,4-butanediol
- PTMG polytetramethyleneglycol
- the mixing ratio of the 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD) and polytetramethylene glycol (PTMG) is preferably prepared in a molar ratio of 0.85-0.95: 0.05-0.15.
- the molar ratio of the polytetramethylene glycol (PTMG) is used less than the above range and the elastic recovery rate may be lowered, the low melting point function may not appear, the molar ratio of dipolytetramethylene glycol (PTMG) is used more than the above range Doing so may degrade the physical properties.
- 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD) can be used by mixing with ethylene glycol (EG) within the above range.
- PTMG polytetramethylene glycol
- LM low melting point
- the acid component and the diol component are mixed and polymerized in a molar ratio of 0.9 to 1.1: 0.9 to 1.1. If any one of the acid component and the diol component is mixed too much, it will be discarded without being used for polymerization.
- the acid component and the diol component are preferably mixed in a similar amount.
- Low melting point (LM) elastomer is produced (melting point) is prepared at a melting point of 150 ⁇ 180 °C, elastic recovery rate 50 ⁇ 80%.
- the binder fiber of the sound absorbing material of the present invention may be a composite fiber obtained by complex spinning with the low melting point (LM) elastomer as one component. More preferably, it may be a sheath-core type or a side by side type of composite fiber, and when the sheath-core type composite fiber is formed, the low melting point (LM) Elastomer can be used as a cis component and ordinary polyester can be used as a core component. General polyester lowers manufacturing costs, supports fibers, and low melting point (LM) elastomers allow elasticity and low melting point functions to be expressed.
- LM low melting point
- the low melting point (LM) elastomer (Elastomer) is preferably made of a weight ratio of 40:60 ⁇ 60:40 of the general polyester.
- the low melting point (LM) elastomer is included in the weight ratio of less than 40, the elastic force and the low melting point function may be reduced, and when the weight ratio exceeds 60, the manufacturing cost increases.
- the sound absorbing material may include 50 to 80% by weight of polymorphic cross-sectional fibers and 20 to 50% by weight of binder fibers. If the content of the polymorphic cross-section fiber is less than 50% by weight, the surface area of the fiber may be reduced to achieve optimal sound absorption and sound insulation performance. However, if the content of the polymorphic cross-section fiber exceeds 80% by weight, the content of the binder fiber is relatively high. It is less than 20%, so that it is difficult to maintain sufficient binding force between fibers, which makes it difficult to mold the sound absorbing material into an arbitrary shape, and because the matrix structure is not strong, vibrations transmitted to the matrix structure caused by the transmission of sound waves are prevented. It may not be sufficiently attenuated and the sound absorption rate of low frequency may fall. As the content of the binder fiber is increased to 20 to 50% by weight, the resilience modulus (ASTM D 3574) is increased to 50 to 80%.
- Such a polymorphic cross-sectional fiber structure excellent in sound absorption performance is a polymorphic cross-sectional fiber that satisfies the following relation 1; And a binder fiber for partially bonding a plurality of the polymorphic cross-sectional fibers.
- the fiber aggregate including the polymorphic cross-sectional fiber and the binder fiber may be formed into a nonwoven fabric having a specific surface density through a conventional fiber structure sound absorbing material manufacturing process such as a needle punching process or a thermal bonding process.
- a conventional fiber structure sound absorbing material manufacturing process such as a needle punching process or a thermal bonding process.
- Sheath-core composite fiber containing elastomer was mixed to a weight ratio of 8: 2, and then the weight was uniformly adjusted to physically entangle through a needle punching process, followed by a normal heat bonding process to a thickness of 20 mm and a surface density of 1600 g.
- a nonwoven fibrous assembly of / m 2 was prepared.
- the resilient modulus of the prepared sound absorbing material was 55%.
- the sheath-core composite fiber including the polyester-based low melting point (LM) elastomer, which is the binder fiber, has a polyester-based low melting point (LM) elastomer as the sheath component, and the polyester-based low melting point (LM) elastomer,
- LM low melting point
- a mixture of 75 mol% terephthalic acid and 25 mol% isophthalic acid was used as an acid component, and 8.0 mol% of poly (tetramethylene ether) glycol and 92.0 mol% of 1,4-butanediol were used as a diol component.
- the acid component and the diol component were mixed and prepared in a molar ratio of 1: 1.
- the low melting point (LM) elastomer thus prepared has a melting point of 50 ° C., an intrinsic viscosity of 1.4 and an elastic recovery rate of 80%.
- a core component polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having a melting point of 260 ° C. and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.65 was used, and a composite spinning die capable of complex spinning of the polyester-based low melting point (LM) elastomer and general PET was used.
- a nonwoven fabric structure having a thickness of 20 mm and a surface density of 1200 g / m 2 was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1.
- the insertion loss was measured by preparing three pieces of specimens applicable to APAMAT-II, which is a transmission loss factor evaluation device, and the average values of the measured insertion loss are shown in Table 2.
- the elastic recovery rate is measured by using an Instron to recover the thickness of 2 mm thick and 10 cm long samples at 200% / min after 200% elongation, then recovering at the same speed after 5 seconds. It was calculated
- the sound absorbing material using the polymorphic multi-faceted fiber of the present invention is sound-absorbing and absorbing than the fiber sound absorbing material using a generally used circular cross-sectional fiber despite the low density of the fiber aggregate It can be seen that the sound insulation performance is excellent. Therefore, a lightweight design is possible using a small amount of fibers.
- Examples 1 and 2 to 9 whose value satisfies 1.5 or more can be seen that the sound absorption rate and transmission loss are significantly superior to Comparative Examples 1 to 5 whose value is less than 1.5. Although hexagonal star-shaped polymorphic cross-sectional fibers were used, Comparative Example 5 having a value of less than 1.5 also has a low surface area, and thus it may be confirmed that the effect is reduced in terms of sound absorption and transmission loss.
- Example 9 using low-melting-point PET fibers as binder fibers and Examples 1 to 8 using low-melting point elastomers
- a low-melting elastomer was used as the binder fiber to have a flexible structure with a resilience of 55%. It was found that the sound absorption performance was improved by the improvement of the vibration damping ability transmitted to the matrix structure.
