Abstract

PURPOSE: A hot-melt adhesive for textiles having improved low-temperature adhesiveness and drycleaning resistance, comprising a blend of specific two types of copolyesters.
CONSTITUTION: Two types of copolyesters (a) and (b) having different melt viscosities at the bonding temperature, at least one of which has a melting point of 140°C or below, are incorporated to give the total content of polyalkylene oxide glycol units of 3W35wt.%, preferably at a weight ratio of (a) to (b) of 20W80: 80W20, thus forming a textile adhesive. Preferably, at least one of the copolyesters is a block copolyether-ester consisting of poly (alkylene oxide) glycol units and has a number-average molecular weight of 300W6,000. The polyesters may be of the same polymer compositions having only different polymerization degrees
