Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un material absorbedor de sonido que tiene excelentes propiedades de absorción del sonido y a un método para fabricarlo y, más en particular, a un material absorbedor de sonido y a un método para fabricarlo que tiene excelentes propiedades de absorción del sonido, en el que están formadas un área de superficie amplia y una capa de aire, de modo que sea capaz de provocar una pérdida viscosa en la energía acústica incidente, y de mejorar la velocidad de absorción del sonido y la pérdida de trasmisión. Se pueden obtener excelentes propiedades de absorción del sonido aun con una cantidad pequeña de fibra, con lo que se permite un diseño de peso liviano, y se usa una fibra aglutinadora que tiene elasticidad de rebote a fin de mejorar las propiedades de absorción del sonido elevando al máximo la pérdida viscosa dela energía acústica trasmitida a una estructura de fibra, al mismo tiempo que se mantiene una fuerza aglutinadora suficiente entre las fibras.
