- a sulfur-containing compounding agent and a boron-containing compounding agent are blended with a sulfur-crosslinkable diene rubber, thereby accelerating the chemical reaction of the sulfur-containing compounding agent-rubber and improving the tan ⁇ balance between low and high temperatures. It is possible to obtain a compound that is balanced and has excellent wet grip performance and low fuel consumption performance without degrading workability.
- ⁇ Low fuel consumption performance of a single tire improves as the rolling resistance of the tire decreases.
- the rolling resistance of a tire is such that the energy loss (hysteresis loss) that occurs when the rubber constituting the tire is repeatedly deformed accounts for about 90% of the rolling resistance. Therefore, the smaller the hysteresis loss, the smaller the rolling resistance. Improved fuel efficiency.
- Rubber is a viscoelastic body having both elastic and viscous properties. In particular, viscosity has a strong property of dissipating kinetic energy at the time of deformation into thermal energy. Therefore, the smaller the hysteresis loss, the smaller the heat generated by rubber deformation.
- tan ⁇ is a parameter of energy loss that is converted into heat after the rubber is deformed until it returns to its original shape. As tan ⁇ increases, the energy loss due to tire deflection increases and the rolling resistance increases. In the present specification, low fuel consumption may be referred to as low heat generation.
