Abstract

본 발명은 안전성이 향상된 파우치형 이차 전지에 대한 것으로, 과충전 등으로 인하여 파우치 내부의 압력이 상승할 경우, 파우치의 형태가 변형되도록 설계하고 이에 따라 전극리드와 전극탭의 연결 부분이 분리되도록 구성된 파우치형 이차전지 및 이를 포함하는 전지팩에 대한 것이다. 본 발명은 이차전지의 제조시 별도의 재료나 장치 등이 필요치 아니하면서도 파우치형 이차전지의 내부 가스 발생시 원천적으로 전류의 흐름을 차단하여 전지의 수명 및 안전성을 현저히 높일 수 있으며, 낮은 제조비, 적은 중량, 전지의 용이한 형태 변형 등이 가능한 파우치형 이차 전지를 제공할 수 있다.
