Description

カメラ駆動装置
 本発明は、撮像素子を含むカメラ部を、パンニング(ヨーイング)方向およびチルティング(ピッチング)方向に傾け、かつ、レンズの光軸を中心に回転(ローリング)させることが可能なカメラ駆動装置に関する。
 近年市販されるビデオカメラやデジタルカメラの多くには、手振れによる撮影画像の像振れを補正する手振れ補正装置が設けられている。この手振れ補正装置は、レンズ、レンズ鏡筒、反射ミラーまたは撮像素子等をカメラの光軸に対して傾斜させるか、または、光軸に直交する平面で2次元的に移動させる。
 たとえば、特許文献1は、レンズ鏡筒を1点で弾性支持し、レンズ鏡筒を光軸に対して傾斜させる構造を有する振れ補正機構を開示している。特許文献2は、ミラーをピポッド構成で支持し、光軸に対して傾斜させる手振れ補正装置を開示している。また、特許文献3は、球状のレンズ鏡筒を3点で支持し、光軸に沿って移動させるとともに傾斜させる撮像レンズユニットを開示している。

 一般に、人が静止して撮影する場合に発生する手振れ角度は、±0.3度程度であり、またその発生周波数成分は20~30Hz程度であると言われている。また手振れ補正制御は、10Hz程度の周波数帯域で行う必要があると言われている。
 このように、撮影者が静止した状態でビデオカメラやデジタルカメラの撮影を行う場合、手振れ角度は比較的小さく、また、制御のための周波数も比較的低い。このため、静止時の手振れによる撮影画像の像振れを補正する従来のカメラ駆動装置は、カメラ駆動装置を構成する各部(レンズ、レンズ鏡筒、反射ミラー、撮像素子等)をレンズの光軸に対して傾斜させる傾斜角度や、光軸に直交する平面で2次元的に直線移動させる移動量が微少であるにもかかわらず、良好な手振れ補正を実現していた。
 しかしながら、撮影者が歩きながら動画や静止画の撮影する歩行撮影時においては、発生する画像の振れ(以下、歩行振れと呼ぶ場合がある。歩行振れには手振れも含まれる。)の角度は、たとえば±10度以上であり、歩行振れを補正するためには、50Hz程度の周波数帯域で制御を行う必要があると言われている。
 このように画像の振れ角度が大きくなり、より高い周波数で制御を行う場合、従来のカメラ駆動装置では、構成要素を支持する支持系および構成要素を駆動する駆動系の構成において課題がある。
 たとえば、特許文献1の装置は、レンズ鏡筒を微小な角度で傾斜させるのに適しているが、±10度を超えるような大きな角度でレンズ鏡筒を傾斜させる場合、支持している弾性体が塑性領域まで変形してしまうと考えられる。また傾斜させる角度が大きくなると、弾性体のバネ定数による負荷が非常に大きくなり、弾性体による固有振動の振幅増大係数(Q値)も増大する。その結果、補正制御の位相特性やゲイン特性が悪化し、上述した周波数帯域で補正制御を行うことが困難になると考えられる。
 特許文献2の装置は、画像の振れを補正するために、反射ミラーを駆動させている。しかしながら、ビデオカメラやデジタルカメラが広角レンズ系を備えている場合、光学系に反射ミラーを設けようとすれば、反射ミラーは光学系において大きな構成要素となってしまう。このため、反射ミラーは小型化が望まれるビデオカメラやデジタルカメラには適切な解決手段とは言い難い。また、磁気吸引力でミラーをピポッド支持しているため、振動や衝撃等の外乱によって、ミラーが脱落する可能性がある。
 特許文献3のレンズユニットは、球状のレンズホルダを備えているため、大きな角度でレンズホルダを傾斜させることが可能である。しかし、レンズホルダと、その外側に設けられたホルダとが接触する部分の回転半径が大きいことから、可動ユニットへの摩擦負荷が増大し、動作移動距離が大きくなる。その結果、傾斜角度が大きくなると、接触摩擦負荷の変動が増大し、正確な制御が困難であると考えられる。また、レンズホルダと外側に設けられたホルダとの間隔を正確に制御しないと、レンズホルダの傾斜角度を正確に制御することが困難となる。これらの部品の加工精度によっては、機械的なガタが発生し、可動ユニットの周波数応答特性に支障をきたす可能性がある。
 また、特許文献1から3の装置は、レンズ等の構成要素をカメラ部の光軸を中心に回転させる構造を備えていない。
 さらに、カメラ部の回転方向や駆動方向が増えたり、回転角度が大きくなると、可動部に搭載されるカメラ部と固定部に設けられる電源や画像処理回路との距離が大きく変化したり、電源や画像処理回路から見たカメラ部の方位を大きく変化する。このため、カメラ部と電源や画像処理回路とを配線で電気的に接続する場合、配線の応力によって可動部の回転動作が妨げられたり、可動部が繰り返し回転することによって、配線が繰り返し応力を受け、断線したりする可能性がある。
 また、配線に大きな応力がかからないように、十分な撓みを持たせる場合、配線が、屈曲する空間が必要となり、配線のための空間が大きくなることによって装置が大型化してしまう。
 本発明は、このような従来技術の課題の少なくとも1つを解決し、カメラ部を3軸方向に回転可能なカメラ駆動装置を実現することを目的とする。

 ある好ましい実施形態において、前記第2の検出部は、前記固定ユニットに固定された1対の回転検出用磁石と、前記少なくとも2つのフレキシブルプリント配線板の2つにそれぞれに取り付けられた1対の第2の磁気センサーとを含み、前記1対の第2の磁気センサーは、前記回転検出用磁石との相対的な回転移動による磁力変化を検出して、前記カメラ部の回転角度を算出する。
 ある好ましい実施形態において、前記1対の第2の磁気センサーと前記1対の回転検出用磁石は、前記光軸に直交する平面で、かつ前記球心を通る直線上で、前記球心に対して対称にそれぞれ配置されている。
 ある好ましい実施形態において、前記1対の回転検出用磁石は、前記レンズの光軸に直交する平面において、前記球心を通る直線でそれぞれ逆向き方向に着磁された2つの磁極を有し、かつ2つの前記磁極は前記光軸を中心とする円の円周方向に配列されている。
 ある好ましい実施形態において、前記配線は、前記カメラ部と接続される側の端部近傍において、面取り形状または折り曲げ形状を有している。
 ある好ましい実施形態において、カメラ駆動装置は、前記光軸方向において、前記可動ユニットと所定の空隙を隔てて配置された脱落防止規制部を有し、前記固定ユニットに固定された脱落防止部材をさらに備える。
 本発明のカメラ駆動装置によれば、可動ユニットに設けられた円錐形状を有する接触面と少なくとも一部が磁性体からなり、球面の少なくとも一部の形状を備えた突起部とによってピポッド支持構造を構成しているため、球面の球心を中心として可動ユニットを固定ユニットに対し自在に回転させることができる。また、吸着用磁石による磁気吸引力によって突起部が接触面に接触した状態を維持するため、可動ユニットの回転状態によらず、ピポッド支持における負荷を一定にできる。また、脱落防止規制部によって、可動ユニットに外部から衝撃受けても、可動ユニットが脱落することなく、突起部が接触面と接触する状態に復帰することができる。
 また、可動ユニットに設けられたカメラ部と固定ユニットに設けられた回路部とを接続する配線が突起部に螺旋状に巻きつけられているため、省スペースで、かつ配線の撓み余裕を多く確保することができ、可動ユニットが3軸方向に自在に回動する動きを妨げることなく、スムーズの回転動作を実現することができる。加えて、省スペースで配線部材を引き回すことができるため、カメラ駆動装置の小型化を行うことができる。
 また、配線が1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板を含み、軸10に対して軸対称の構造を有していることにより、可動ユニットがパンニング方向およびチルティング方向に回転することによって、中立状態にある光軸10から見ていずれの方位に傾斜した場合でも、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板に生じたが弾性力が、ほぼ等しい力で可動ユニットを中立位置に戻そうと可動ユニットに働き、可動ユニットを中立位置で保持することができる。このため、可動ユニットを中立位置に保持する際に、余分なオフセット電流を常時、通電させる必要がなくなるため、消費電力を低減することができる。
 また、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板上に、ローリング方向の回転角度を検出する磁気センサーを対称配置することにより、差動を利用した回転検出で、パンニング方向とチルティング方向に可動ユニットを回動した場合に発生するクロストーク出力をキャンセルすることができ、可動ユニットの回動可能な範囲でローリング方向の角度のみを抽出して検出することができる。さらに、光軸を中心とした小さな円周上にローリング方向の角度検出手段を設けて回転検出距離を小さくすることで、装置として省スペース化を実現できる。
 したがって、本発明によれば、カメラ部を従来よりも大きな角度でパンニング方向およびチルティング方向に傾斜させることができ、また、ローリング方向にも回転させることが可能であり、広帯域の周波数領域で良好な振れ補正制御を実現することのできる、歩行振れによる像振れの補正が可能であり、小型で堅牢なカメラ駆動装置が実現する。

 以下、本発明によるカメラ駆動装置の一実施形態を説明する。図1は、本発明によるカメラ駆動装置の一実施形態であるカメラ駆動装置165を示す分解斜視図であり、図2は、カメラ駆動装置165を斜め上方から見た斜視図である。
 図3は、一部の構成要素(カメラ部100と脱落防止部材201)を取り除いた状態にあるカメラ駆動装置165を斜め上方から見た斜視図である。図4は、図3の状態におけるカメラ駆動装置165を上方から見た平面図である。
 図5は、カメラ部100を除く可動ユニットを斜め上方から見た斜視図である。図6は、カメラ部100を除く可動ユニットの概略構成を示す分解斜視図である。

 これらの図を参照しながらカメラ駆動装置165の主な構成を説明する。
 カメラ駆動装置165は、カメラ部100と、カメラ部100を支持する可動ユニットと、固定ユニットと、配線310’とを備える。可動ユニットは、固定ユニットに対して、レンズの光軸10を中心に回転するローリング方向22、チルティング方向回転軸11を中心に回転するチルティング方向21およびパンニング方向回転軸12を中心に回転するパンニング方向20に自在に回転する。
 図1に示すように、カメラ部100は被写体を撮影し、被写体像の電気信号を生成する。より具体的には、カメラ部100は、撮像素子(図示せず)と、撮像素子の撮像面に被写体像を結像させる光軸10を有したレンズ(図示せず)と、レンズを保持するレンズ鏡筒(図示せず)とを含み、撮像素子の撮像面に形成された像を電気信号に変換する。
 固定部ユニットは、ベース200と、突起部202とを含む。図7に示すように、突起部202は、光軸10の軸上にある球心202Aを有する球面の少なくとも一部の形状を有している。以下、球面の少なくとも一部の形状を有する部分を部分球面という。
 図1および図7に示すように、突起部202は、ベース200に固定されている。また、突起部202の少なくとも一部は磁性体からなる。突起部202は、ベース200側に開口部202Fを有する円筒状の構造をなしており、さらに突起部202の光軸10の軸上の先端部分には、先端開口部202Hを有している。突起部202の先端部分には、開口部202Fより挿入された第1の磁気センサー501が光軸10の軸上において内設され、先端開口部202Hの領域において第1の磁気センサー501の上部が開放されている。
 可動ユニットの中心部分を構成する可動部102は、固定面102Dに固定された吸着用磁石404と接触面102Cを有する。接触面102Cは、円錐形状の内側面であり、先端が上方に位置するように可動部102に配置されている。吸着用磁石404は円錐形状の先端近傍に位置し、可動部102の上部に配置される。可動部102は、好ましくは樹脂材料などの非磁性材料からなる。
 図7に示すように、固定ユニットの突起部202は、可動部102の円錐形状の接触面102Cが形成する空間内に挿入されている。突起部202の一部は磁性体からなるため、上部に設けられた吸着用磁石404の磁気吸引力Fにより、突起部202は接触面102Cと接触し、遊嵌する。好ましくは、カメラ部100を支持する可動ユニットの重心は固定ユニットの突起202に支持された状態で球心202Aと一致している。
 これにより、可動部102は、円錐状の接触面102Cと突起部202の部分球面とが接触しながら、球面の球心202Aに対して、自在に回転する。
 より具体的には、図1に示すように、光軸10に直交し球心202Aを通るパンニング方向回転軸12を中心に回転するパンニング方向20と、光軸10およびパンニング方向回転軸12に直交するチルティング方向回転軸11を中心に回転するチルティング方向21の2種類の傾斜方向の回転と、レンズ光軸10を中心に回転するローリング方向22の回転を行うことができる。
 このように、本実施形態によれば、カメラ部100を支持した可動ユニットが、固定ユニットによって、球心202Aを中心に回転自在に支持され、かつ、カメラ部100を支持した可動ユニットの重心が球心202Aに一致する。このため、摩擦による負荷の低減や駆動周波数領域において機械的共振を大幅に抑圧することができる。
 また、吸着用磁石404は、回動角度に影響されることなく、一定の磁気吸引力Fで、突起部202と円錐状の接触面102Cとの間に一定の垂直抗力を付加する。このため、回動角度による摩擦負荷の変動を抑制し、駆動周波数領域において良好な位相・ゲイン特性を実現できる。
 また突起部202の表層部分を樹脂部材(図示せず)で被覆すれば、接触する円錐状の接触面102Cと突起部202との摩擦をさらに低減させることが可能であり、耐摩耗性に優れた支持構造を実現できる。
 カメラ駆動装置165は、可動ユニットが固定ユニットから脱落しないように、脱落防止構造を備えていることが好ましい。具体的には、図1、図2、図7に示すように、リング状の脱落防止部材201が、4つの連結部材210を介して固定ユニットのベース200に固定されている。図1に示すように、脱落防止部材201は、リングの中心、つまり、光軸10に向かって伸びる4つの突起状の脱落防止規制部201Aを含む。4つの脱落防止規制部201Aは、2つの対を構成している。
 図8に示すように、脱落防止規制部201Aは、可動部102の一部と光軸10方向において所定の空隙50を設けて配置されている。脱落防止規制部201Aは、可動部102と当接することによって、可動ユニットが、所定の角度以上に回転するのを防止したり、外部からの衝撃によって、可動ユニットの接触面102Cが突起部202から離れた場合に、可動ユニットが固定ユニットから離脱するのを防止する。
 図1に示すように、4つの脱落防止規制部201Aは、パンニング方向回転軸12およびチルティング方向回転軸11に対して45度の角度をなす直線13および直線17方向に沿って1対ずつ配置される。具体的には、直線13および直線17上において、1対の脱落防止規制部201Aが光軸10を挟んで対称に配置されている。
 可動ユニットが、パンニング方向20とチルティング方向21にそれぞれ角度θで傾斜した場合、パンニング方向回転軸12およびチルティング方向回転軸11に対して45度の角度をなす直線13および直線17方向における可動ユニットの回転角度は(√2×θ)以上となる。したがって、これらの方向に、傾斜角度を制限する脱落防止規制部201Aを設けることで、可動ユニットの回動や、外部からの衝撃によって、可動ユニットの最も大きく光軸10方向に移動する部分の変位を制限し、可動ユニットの脱落を確実に防止することができる。
 一方、パンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21の一方のみに角度θで傾斜した場合、傾斜による可動ユニットの光軸10方向の高さ変動は、パンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21の他方において最も大きくなり、直線13および直線17方向における高さ変動は、その(1/√2)倍となる。このため、図1に示すように脱落防止規制部201Aの幅寸法Dを大きくとることで可動ユニットの脱落防止を安全に行える。
 この空隙50は、接触面102Cが突起部202から離間しても、吸着用磁石404の磁気吸引力Fにより接触面102Cが突起部202と接触する状態へ戻ることが可能な距離に設定されている。つまり、可動ユニットが上方へ空隙50に等しい距離だけ移動し、脱落防止規制部201Aが可動部102とが接触した状態でも、吸着用磁石404の磁気吸引力Fにより可動ユニットは、接触面102Cが突起部202と接触する元の状態へ戻ることができる。
 このため、本実施形態によれば、たとえ可動ユニットが瞬間的に所定の位置から脱落した場合においても吸着用磁石404の磁気吸引力Fにより即座に元の良好な支持状態に復帰できる耐衝撃性に優れたカメラ駆動装置を提供できる。
 次に、可動ユニットを駆動するための構造を説明する。カメラ駆動装置165は、可動ユニットを駆動する駆動機構を備える。駆動機構は、固定ユニットに対してカメラ部100を搭載した可動ユニットをパンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21へ傾斜させるためのパンニング駆動部およびチルティング駆動部と、固定ユニットに対してカメラ部100をレンズの光軸10を中心とする回転である回転ローリング方向22に回転させるローリング駆動部とを含む。
 具体的には、駆動機構は、ベース200に磁性体からなる連結部材210を介して、固定された2対の駆動用磁石と、可動ユニットに搭載される磁気ヨークと磁気ヨークに巻回される駆動コイルとを含む。より具体的には、図1および図6に示すように、可動部102は、可動ユニットをパンニング方向20に回転駆動するために、球心202Aに対してチルティング方向回転軸11上で対称に配置された1対のパンニング駆動コイル301と、可動ユニットをチルティング方向21に回転駆動するために、球心202Aに対してパンニング方向回転軸12上で対称に配置された1対のチルティング駆動コイル302と、可動ユニットを光軸10を中心に回転駆動するための4つのローリング駆動コイル303とを含む。また、図1、図3、図4に示すように、ベース200の光軸10を中心とした円周上に1対のパンニング駆動磁石401と1対のチルティング駆動磁石402が磁性材料からなる連結部材210を介してそれぞれ設けられている。
 1対のパンニング駆動コイル301および1対のパンニング駆動磁石401がパンニング駆動部を構成している。また、1対のチルティング駆動コイル302および1対のチルティング駆動磁石402がチルティング駆動部を構成している。1対のパンニング駆動磁石401および1対のチルティング駆動磁石402は、ローリング駆動磁石としても機能し、これらの駆動磁石およびローリング駆動コイル303がローリング駆動部を構成している。
 1対のパンニング駆動磁石401は、チルティング方向回転軸11方向、つまり、光軸10と直交する平面であって、球心202Aを通る直線上において互いに逆向きに着磁されている。同様にチルティング駆動磁石402は、パンニング方向回転軸12方向に、つまり、光軸10と直交する平面であって、球心202Aを通る直線上において、互いに逆向きに着磁されている。
 好ましくは、光軸10と直交する平面上であって、光軸10が平面と交わる点を中心軸とする円周において、90度隔てて隣り合うパンニング駆動磁石401の1つおよびチルティング駆動磁石402の1つの着磁方向は、球心に対して互いにそれぞれ逆向きである。この様な着磁方向の配置は、たとえば、図9に示すように、1対のパンニング駆動磁石401を、球心に対して内向きの方向183、185に着磁し、チルティング駆動磁石402を外向きの方向182、186に着磁することにより実現できる。
 このように、パンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402においてそれぞれチルティング方向回転軸11方向およびパンニング方向回転軸12方向に磁束が配置される。図1、図3および図7に示すように、パンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402のそれぞれは、球心202Aを中心とする凹状の曲面を有している。
 パンニング駆動コイル301のそれぞれおよびチルティング駆動コイル302のそれぞれは、レンズ101aの光軸10に直交し、球心202Aを含む平面に対して面対称である。また、レンズ101aの光軸10を含む平面において略V字形状の断面を有し、略V字形状の谷部分が光軸10に対向するように配置されている。
 図6に示すように、1対のパンニング駆動コイル301および1対のチルティング駆動コイル302は、可動部102に設けられた当接面102Fに固定される。一方、4つのローリング駆動コイル303は、当接面102Gに固定されるとともに、パンニング駆動磁石401に対向するパンニング駆動コイル301の側面とチルティング駆動磁石402に対向するチルティング駆動コイル302の側面との間を橋架するように、それぞれの駆動コイルに対して貼付固定されている。各ローリング駆動コイル303の一部は、パンニング駆動コイル301の一部およびチルティング駆動コイル302の一部と重なっている。また、各ローリング駆動コイル303のパンニング駆動コイル301と重なっている部分およびチルティング駆動コイル302と重なっている部分は、それぞれ、レンズ101aの光軸10に直交し、球心202Aを含む平面に対して面対称である。また、レンズ101aの光軸10を含む平面において略V字形状の断面を有し、略V字形状の谷部分が光軸10に対向するように配置されている。
 図7に示すように、パンニング駆動磁石401の中心およびパンニング駆動コイル301の中心の光軸10方向における位置は、球心202Aの位置とほぼ一致している。同様に、チルティング駆動磁石402の中心およびチルティング駆動コイル302の中心の光軸10方向における位置は、球心202Aの位置とほぼ一致している。
 パンニング駆動部およびチルティング駆動部は、1対のパンニング駆動コイル301および1対のチルティング駆動コイル302の内側にそれぞれ位置し、可動ユニットに設けられた1対のパンニング磁気ヨーク203および1対のチルティング磁気ヨーク204を含む。1対のパンニング駆動コイル301のそれぞれは、対応するパンニング磁気ヨーク203を巻回している。また、1対のチルティング駆動コイル302のそれぞれは対応するチルティング磁気ヨーク204を巻回している。図4に示すように、1対のパンニング磁気ヨーク203および1対のチルティング磁気ヨーク204は、ローリング駆動コイル303とも重なっており、パンニング磁気ヨーク203およびチルティング磁気ヨーク204はローリング磁気ヨークとしても機能する。
 言い換えれば、図5に示したように、1対のパンニング駆動コイル301および1対のチルティング駆動コイル302と、4つのローリング駆動コイル303からなるコイルユニットが光軸10を中心とする可動部102の円周上において、90度の間隔で4つ配置されている。
 さらに、図6、図7に示すように、パンニング駆動コイル301とチルティング駆動コイル302およびローリング駆動コイル303の光軸10方向における中心の高さ位置は球心202Aの位置とほぼ等しい。
 1対のパンニング駆動コイル301に通電することにより、1対のパンニング駆動コイル301は1対のパンニング駆動磁石401より偶力の電磁力を受け、可動部102、つまり可動ユニットは、パンニング方向回転軸12を中心にパンニング方向20に回転駆動される。
 同様に、1対のチルティング駆動コイル302に通電することにより、1対のチルティング駆動コイル302はチルティング駆動磁石402より偶力の電磁力を受け、可動ユニットは、チルティング方向回転軸11を中心にチルティング方向21に回転駆動される。
 さらにパンニング駆動コイル301およびチルティング駆動コイル302に同時に通電することにより、カメラ部100が搭載された可動ユニットを2次元的に傾斜させることができる。
 また光軸10を中心とした円周上に配置された4つのローリング駆動コイル303に通電することにより、1対のパンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402から電磁力を受け、カメラ部100を搭載した可動ユニットは、光軸10を中心にローリング方向22に回転駆動される。
 より具体的には、図9に示すように、ローリング駆動コイル303に通電した場合、チルティング駆動磁石402に対向する部分では上向きの方向180に、パンニング駆動磁石401に対向する部分では下向きの方向181に駆動電流が流れる。
 したがって、チルティング駆動磁石402の着磁方向を光軸10に対して外向きの方向182、186に、パンニング駆動磁石401の着磁方向を光軸10に対して内向きの方向183、185に着磁させることにより、各駆動磁石と各コイルの対向する部分との間において、フレミングの左手の法則による電磁力190が、光軸10回りに同じ方向に発生し、可動ユニットをローリング方向22に回転させる。
 このように、本実施形態は、可動ユニットにパンニング駆動コイル301とチルティング駆動コイル302およびローリング駆動コイル303を設けたムービングコイル駆動方式を採用している。この構成では、一般的に可動ユニットの重量を軽減できるという利点がある。
 また、本実施形態によれば、ローリング方向22への駆動するための専用の駆動磁石を設けず、パンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402がローリング方向22への駆動磁石を兼ねている。このためカメラ駆動装置165を軽量化することができ、また、構成部品の数を減らすことができる。
 さらに、パンニング駆動コイル301の一側面とチルティング駆動コイル302の一側面を橋架するように、4つのローリング駆動コイル303を貼付固定するコイルの構成と、光軸10を中心とする円周方向において、90度隔てて隣り合うパンニング駆動磁石401とチルティング駆動磁石402の着磁方向を逆向きに配置する磁石の構成を設けることにより、4つのローリング駆動コイル303の電磁力を発生する有効長を増大させることができ、ローリング方向22への駆動効率を向上できる。
 次に、磁気吸引力Fを利用した可動ユニットの中立位置への復帰機能を説明する。図4に示すように、1対のパンニング駆動磁石401とチルティング駆動磁石402に対向する部分に1対のパンニング磁気ヨーク203およびチルティング磁気ヨーク204を配置している。このため、ローリング方向22の回転角度が0である場合、パンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402とパンニング磁気ヨーク203およびチルティング磁気ヨーク204との磁気ギャップがそれぞれ最小となる。したがって、ローリング駆動コイル303に通電しない場合、磁気吸引力変動を利用した磁気バネ効果により、可動ユニットをローリング方向22の中立位置、つまり、パンニング駆動磁石401およびチルティング駆動磁石402がパンニング磁気ヨーク203およびチルティング磁気ヨーク204へそれぞれ最も近接する位置に維持することができる。
 次に、カメラ部100と固定部に設けられる電源や画像処理回路をつなぐ配線部材である配線310’について説明する。
 図1、図7に示すように、配線310’は、突起部202の周囲に沿って、螺旋状に巻きつけられている。好ましくは、配線310’は扁平形状および可撓性を有する。配線310’は好ましくは、少なくとも1つのフレキシブルプリント配線板310を含む。本実施形態では、配線310’は、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310を含んでいる。1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310は、それぞれ、可動ユニットが中立位置にあるときの光軸10を中心として、同方向に旋回している。言い換えると、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310は、全体として、光軸10を中心とする概ね軸対称の構造を有している。各フレキシブルプリント配線板310の一端は、可動部102に取り付けられる中継基板320に設けられたコネクタ325に接続され、他端は、固定部に設けられる電源、画像処理回路などの外部回路(図示せず)に接続される。
 本実施形態では、可動部102に駆動コイルが搭載されていることから、中継基板320には、カメラ部100からの信号線と、各駆動コイルの配線が接続され、配線310’を介して、外部回路に接続される。
 配線310’は、突起部202の周囲に沿って螺旋状に巻きつけられているため、省スペースで、多くの撓み余裕を確保することができる。このため、可動ユニットがパンニング方向20、チルティング方向21およびローリング方向22に回動する動きを妨げることなく、可動ユニットのスムーズな回転動作を実現することができる。
 また、可動ユニットが球心202Aを中心に回動する際に必要となる可動部102と突起部202の間の空間を利用して、配線310’を引き回していることから、配線310’の屈曲スペースを新たに構成する必要がない。このため、カメラ駆動装置165の小型化を図ることができる。
 さらに、配線’310を構成する1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310は、光軸10に対して軸対称の構造を有している。このため、可動ユニットがパンニング方向およびチルティング方向に回転することによって、中立状態にある光軸10から見ていずれの方位に傾斜した場合でも、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310に生じたが弾性力が、ほぼ等しい力で可動ユニットを中立位置に戻そうと可動ユニットに働く。したがって、可動ユニットを中立位置に保持する際に、余分なオフセット電流を常時、通電させる必要がなくなるため、消費電力を低減することができる。また、可動ユニットが中立位置からいずれの方位に傾斜した場合でも、可動ユニットを中立位置に戻そうとする1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310の弾性力はほぼ等しい。このため、傾斜状態を維持するためにパンニング駆動部およびローリング駆動部が発生させる駆動力も、可動ユニットの傾斜方位によらず、ほぼ等しくなり、パンニング駆動部およびローリング駆動部の制御性が向上する。
 このように、本実施形態によれば、カメラ部100、可動部102、突起部202、吸着用磁石404の中心軸が、すべて、支持中心であり駆動中心でもある球心202Aを通る光軸10と一致するように配置される。したがって、可動ユニットの重心が球心202Aと一致し、可動ユニットを重心で支持するとともに、重心を通り互いに直交する3軸回りの回転駆動を実現することができる。また、可動ユニットの脱落を防止することができる。
 また、配線310’を、突起部202の周囲に沿って、螺旋状に引き回すことにより、省スペースで、かつ配線310’の撓み余裕を多く確保することができるため、可動ユニットのスムーズな回転動作を実現することができる。
 次に可動ユニットの傾きや回転の検出について説明する。カメラ駆動装置165は、固定ユニットに対するカメラ部100が搭載された可動ユニットの傾斜角度およびレンズの光軸10回りの回転角度を検出するための検出器を備える。具体的には、可動ユニットの2次元の傾斜角度、つまり、パンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21の回転角度を検出するための第1の検出部と、レンズの光軸10回りの傾斜角度を検出するための第2の検出部とを備える。
 まず、第1の検出部による、可動ユニットのパンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21における可動ユニットの傾斜角度の検出について説明する。
 図1、図7、図8に示すように、可動ユニットの傾斜角度を検出するために、第1の検出部は第1の磁気センサー501を備える。第1の磁気センサー501は、2軸周りの傾きあるいは回転を検出可能であり、光軸10方向に1極に着磁された吸着用磁石404に対向するように突起部202の内部に配置されている。
 図10は、可動ユニットの中立位置における光軸10’から可動ユニットをパンニング方向へ角度θに傾斜させた状態における、光軸10とチルティング方向回転軸11を含む平面での断面図である。
 図10に示すように、第1の磁気センサー501の内部には、光軸10を中心にホール素子(図示せず)がチルティング方向回転軸11およびパンニング方向回転軸12上にそれぞれ1対ずつ対称に配置されている。第1の磁気センサー501は、可動ユニットのパンニング方向20に角度θの傾斜動作によって生じる吸着用磁石404の磁力変化を2軸成分としてそれぞれ差動検出し、パンニング傾斜角度およびチルティング傾斜角度を算出することができる。また、突起部202の先端には吸着用磁石404の磁力線が第1の磁気センサー501に直接的に入り込めるよう開口部202Hが設けられている。
 このように、本実施形態によれば、吸着用磁石404が突起部202に磁気吸引力Fを付与する機能に加えて、傾斜角度を検出するための磁石としても機能するため、構成部品点数の低減と装置の小型化を図ることができる。また、吸着用磁石404と球心202Aとの間隔を短くでき、第1の磁気センサー501を小型化できるという利点も得られる。
 次に、第2の検出部による、可動ユニットのローリング方向22における回転角度の検出について説明する。図11、図12、図13に示すように、可動ユニットの回転角度を検出するために、第2の検出部は、突起部202の側面に設けられた開口部200Kに挿入された1対の回転検出用磁石403と、回転検出用磁石403に対向するように、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310上に取り付けられた1対の第2の磁気センサー503をさらに備える。
 図11は、可動ユニットの光軸10回りのローリング方向22の回転角度を検出するための第2の検出部である第2の磁気センサー503の配置を示す分解斜視図であり、図12は、第2の検出部における光軸10とパンニング方向回転軸12を含む平面での断面図であり、図13は、図12におけるA-A線断面図である。
 図12、図13、図14に示すように、1対の第2の磁気センサー503は、回転検出用磁石403の回転による磁力変化を検出して、可動ユニットの回転角度を算出する。1対の第2の磁気センサー503および1対の回転検出用磁石403は、10光軸に直交する平面上であって球心202Aを通る直線において、球心202Aに対して対称にそれぞれ配置されている。
 図11、図13に示すように、1対の回転検出用磁石403のそれぞれは、2極に分割着磁されている。具体的には、1対の回転検出用磁石403のそれぞれは、光軸10に直交する平面上において光軸10を中心とする円の円周方向に配列され、逆向き方向に着磁された2つの磁極を有する。これにより、1対の回転検出用磁石403における磁極は、球心202Aを通る方向に着磁され、互いに異極が向かい合うように対向配置されている。
 1対の第2の磁気センサー503は、可動部ユニットのローリング方向22への回転動作によって、相対的に移動する回転検出用磁石403の磁気変化を差動検出して、ローリング方向22の回転角度を算出することできる。回転検出用磁石403は2極に分割着磁されているため、可動ユニットのローリング方向22の回転動作によって、急峻な磁気変化が得られ、この磁気変化を差動検出することで、高感度な回転角度検出が可能となる。
 パンニング方向20およびチルティング方向21に可動ユニットが傾斜した場合、ローリング方向22へのクロストーク出力が発生し得る。しかしながら、1対の回転検出用磁石403による磁気変化を1対の第2の磁気センサー503で差動検出することによって、このクロストーク出力をキャンセルさせることが可能となる。したがって、可動ユニットの傾斜可能な範囲においてローリング方向22の回転角度のみを正しく抽出して検出することができる。
 また、図11に示すように、1対の第2の磁気センサー503は、可動部102と突起部202の間の空間に引き回された1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310上に取り付けられている。このため、光軸10を中心とした大きな半径の円周上に駆動コイルユニットを設けて駆動モーメント力を向上させるとともに、光軸10を中心とした小さな円周上にローリング方向22の回転角度検出を行う第2の検出部である第2の磁気センサー503を設けることができ、空間を有効に活用することができる。
 また、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310は、1対の第2の磁気センサー503をそれぞれ搭載するため、カメラ部100と接続される側の半径が、外部回路と接続される側の半径より小さくなるように、突起部202周辺を螺旋形状に引き回されている。つまり、フレキシブルプリント配線板310のそれぞれは、カメラ部100と接続される側が内側に位置し、外部回路と接続される側が外側に位置する螺旋形状を有している。このため、フレキシブルプリント配線板310のカメラ部100と接続される側は、互いにもう一方のフレキシブルプリント配線板310と干渉しやすくなる。本実施形態では、この干渉を抑制するために、フレキシブルプリント配線板310は、カメラ部100と接続される側の近傍において、面取り形状10Aあるいは、折り曲げ形状310Aを備えている。1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310がこの形状を有することによって、相互の干渉を抑制している。
 また、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板310に1対の第2の磁気センサー503をそれぞれ直接実装することにより、第2の磁気センサー503と接続する配線をフレキシブルプリント配線板310に含めることができる。その結果、第2の磁気センサー503用配線を設ける必要がなく、部品点数の削減を図ることができる。
 このように、本実施形態のカメラ駆動装置によれば、カメラ本体と固定部に設けられる外部回路とをつなぐ配線を、突起部の周辺に沿って、螺旋状に引き回すことにより、省スペースで、多くの撓み余裕を確保することができる。また、可動ユニットがパンニング方向、チルティング方向およびローリング方向に回動する動きを妨げることなく、可動ユニットのスムーズな回転動作を実現することができる。加えて、可動部と突起部の間の空間を利用して、配線を引き回していることから、カメラ駆動装置の小型化を行うことができる。
 また、配線を構成する1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板は、光軸を中心に対して軸対称の構造を有している。このため、可動ユニットがパンニング方向およびチルティング方向に回転することによって、中立状態にある光軸10から見ていずれの方位に傾斜した場合でも、1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板に生じた弾性力がほぼ等しい力で可動ユニットを中立位置に戻そうと可動ユニットに働く。したがって、傾斜状態を維持するためにパンニング駆動部およびローリング駆動部が発生させる駆動力も、可動ユニットの傾斜方位によらず、ほぼ等しくなり、パンニング駆動部およびローリング駆動部の制御性が向上する。また、可動ユニットを中立位置に保持する際に、余分なオフセット電流を常時、通電させる必要がなくなるため、消費電力を低減することができる。
 また、光軸と垂直な平面において光軸の位置を中心とする円周方向にそって互いに逆向きに着磁された1対の回転検出磁石を固定ユニットに配置し、可動ユニットから引き出された1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板上に設けられた1対の第2の磁気センサーが、相対的に移動する回転検出用磁石の磁気変化を検出する。この検出出力の差動を用いることで、パンニングとチルティング方向に可動ユニットを回動した場合に発生するクロストーク出力をキャンセルすることができるため、可動ユニットの回動可能な範囲でローリング方向の角度のみを抽出して検出することができる。
 また、第2の磁気センサーをフレキシブルプリント配線板上に設けることによって、光軸を中心とした大きな半径の円周上に駆動部を設けて駆動モーメント力を向上させるとともに、小さな半径の円周上にローリング方向の角度を検出する第2の磁気センサーを設けることができる。このため、空間を有効に活用し、装置として省スペース化を実現できる。
 また、フレキシブルプリント配線板に第2の磁気センサーを直接実装することにより、センサー用の配線を削減して、部品点数の削減を図ることができる。
 なお、本実施形態では、カメラ駆動装置は、配線として1対のフレキシブルプリント配線板を備えている。しかし、本発明はこれに限定されることなく、3本のフレキシブルプリント配線板を、光軸を中心に120度間隔で配置することで、フレキシブルプリント配線板の弾性を利用した可動部の中立位置保持を行ってもよい。あるいは、4本のフレキシブルプリント配線板を、光軸を中心に90度間隔で配置してもよい。また、これらの場合、どれか2つのフレキシブルプリント配線板上に第2の磁気センサーを実装することで、同様な回転検出を行うことができる。
 また、さらに5本以上の場合においても、同様に光軸を中心に、等間隔でフレキシブルプリント配線板を引き回し、その内の2ヶ所(偶数本の引き回しであれば、対称となる位置)に第2の磁気センサーを実装するで、同様な効果を得ることができる。
 したがって、本実施形態のカメラ駆動装置によれば、たとえば、パンニング方向およびチルティング方向に±10度以上の大きな角度で可動ユニットを傾斜させ、また、ローリング方向に±10度以上の大きな角度で可動ユニットを回転させることができる。また、50Hz程度までの広帯域の周波数領域で良好な振れ補正制御を実現できる。
 その結果、カメラ部の高速パンニング・チルティング・ローリング動作を実現するとともに、歩行撮影時の手振れで発生する撮影画像の像振れを補正することのできるカメラ駆動装置が実現する。また、小型で堅牢な脱落防止構造を備えるため、振動や落下衝撃等の外部からの衝撃に対する耐衝撃性の強いカメラ駆動装置が実現する。
 本発明のカメラ駆動装置は、パンニング方向とチルティング方向およびローリング方向に駆動可能な構成により、歩行撮影時に撮影者の重心移動によって発生するローリング振れを含めた3軸方向の振れ補正を実現できるウエアラブルカメラ等に適している。また高速チルティング・パンニング・ローリング動作を必要とする被写体の高速追従カメラや監視・車載カメラに適している。
 さらに高速チルティング動作や高速パンニング動作を行うことにより、撮影画像の高速合成を実現でき、静止画のみならず動画の超広角撮影ができるビデオカメラを提供することができる。

Claims (9)

  1.  撮像面を有する撮像素子、光軸を有し、前記撮像面に被写体像を形成するレンズおよび前記レンズを保持するレンズ鏡筒を含むカメラ部と、
     少なくとも一部が磁性体からなり、部分球面形状を備えた突起部を有する固定ユニットと、
     前記カメラ部を搭載する可動ユニットであって、前記磁性体に対して磁気吸引力を発生させる吸着用磁石、および、前記磁気吸引力により前記突起部が遊嵌し接触する円錐形状の接触面を有し、前記突起部の前記球面の球心に対して自在に回動する可動ユニットと、
     前記固定ユニットに対して前記カメラ部をパンニング方向へ傾斜させるパンニング駆動部と、
     前記固定ユニットに対して前記カメラ部を前記パンニング方向と直交するチルティング方向へ傾斜させるチルティング駆動部と、
     前記固定ユニットに対して前記カメラ部を前記レンズの光軸を中心に回転するローリング方向へ回転させるローリング駆動部と、
     前記固定ユニットに対する前記カメラ部の前記パンニングおよびチルティング方向への傾斜角度と前記ローリング方向に回転する前記カメラ部の回転角度を検出する検出器と、

     前記カメラ部と外部回路とを接続する配線であって、前記突起部に螺旋状に巻きつけられている配線と
    を備えるカメラ駆動装置。
  2.  前記配線は少なくとも2つのフレキシブルプリント配線板を含み、前記少なくとも2つのフレキシブルプリント配線板は、前記可動ユニットが中立位置にあるときの前記光軸に対して軸対の構造を有している請求項1に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  3.  前記検出器は、
     前記固定ユニットに対する前記カメラ部の前記パンニングおよびチルティング方向への傾斜角度を検出する第1の検出部と、
     前記ローリング方向に回転する前記カメラ部の回転角度を検出する第2の検出部とを含む請求項2に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  4.  前記第1の検出部は、前記固定ユニットに固定された第1の磁気センサーを含み、
     前記第1の磁気センサーは、前記可動ユニットに設けられた前記吸着用磁石の傾斜による磁力変化を検出し、前記カメラ部の前記パンニングおよびチルティング方向の2次元の傾斜角度を算出する請求項3に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  5.  前記第2の検出部は、
     前記固定ユニットに固定された1対の回転検出用磁石と、
     前記少なくとも2つのフレキシブルプリント配線板の2つにそれぞれに取り付けられた1対の第2の磁気センサーと
    を含み、
     前記1対の第2の磁気センサーは、前記回転検出用磁石との相対的な回転移動による磁力変化を検出して、前記カメラ部の回転角度を算出する請求項4に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  6.  前記1対の第2の磁気センサーと前記1対の回転検出用磁石は、前記光軸に直交する平面で、かつ前記球心を通る直線上で、前記球心に対して対称にそれぞれ配置されている請求項5に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  7.  前記1対の回転検出用磁石は、前記レンズの光軸に直交する平面において、前記球心を通る直線でそれぞれ逆向き方向に着磁された2つの磁極を有し、かつ2つの前記磁極は前記光軸を中心とする円の円周方向に配列されている請求項5または6に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  8.  前記フレキシブル配線は、前記カメラ部と接続される側の端部近傍において、面取り形状または折り曲げ形状を有している請求項2に記載のカメラ駆動装置。
  9.  前記光軸方向において、前記可動ユニットと所定の空隙を隔てて配置された脱落防止規制部を有し、前記固定ユニットに固定された脱落防止部材をさらに備える請求項1から8のいずれかに記載のカメラ駆動装置。
