このように、第1の例のチューナの形状には機構設計面での自由度が低く、上記の例のごとく小変更を盛り込んだ多くの種類のモデルが発生し、多大な設計工数を費やすことになる。
すなわち、シールド筐体でカバーしている内部のチューナ回路およびモジュール基板にかかわる部分は、ノイズの影響を受けにくくなっているが、アンテナコネクタ部分の記載が無いので、どのような形状のコネクタであるか不明である。
この場合は芯線に特別な被覆を施さなくとも、チューナ内部の回路基板と共にシールドケースで覆われるので問題ない。
このような場合には、アンテナコネクタを含む被覆のついたケーブルを用いて結線することになるが、被覆ケーブル付のアンテナコネクタの作製には非常に手間がかかり多くの場合は手作業になるので、非常に高価になってしまう。
好適には、上記シールドケースは、最も長い長辺の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである。

このチューナモジュール基板11は、主基板12の上に面実装されている。
シールドケース13は、少なくとも一つのアンテナコネクタ14がカシメ嵌合によって固定されており、面実装されたチューナモジュール基板11を覆うように配置されて、主基板12に対して半田等により固定されている。

そのため、本構造のTVチューナモジュール10においてはアンテナコネクタ14の取り付け方向に起因する電気的特性の再設計を省くことができ、短い設計時間においてバリエーションのある取り付け構造を持つTVチューナモジュールを提供できる。
ちなみに、アンテナコネクタ14(-1~-4)は、露出する芯線15部分の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さに設定される。

ここで、TVチューナモジュール10の受信周波数が上限であるとは、電波として誘起された時、最も短い波長のときの上限受信周波数のことを意味する。

このλ/4というのは空気中のアンテナとして最も強く共振する波長を示しており、TVチューナモジュール10のような高周波モジュールに共振し易い空隙やパターンなどを作らないようにする。
そこで半田接合突起の感覚は以下の式の条件にするのが望ましい。
L ≦ λ/4
f = 2GHz
λ = C/f = 300,000,000/2,000,000,000 = 0.15m = 15cm
C;光速 = 300,000,000 m
さらに、シールドケース13の全体形状が波長条件よりも大きくなってしまう場合に、図1中に破線で示すように、内部に隔壁17を設けて、仕切り領域SARAを作り、前記の波長条件を満足させる構造とすることも有効である。
そして、その芯線の長さも同様に前記の共振波長よりも短くすることで、不必要な共振を回避させることができる。
図4は、本発明の第2の実施形態に係るチューナモジュールの構成例を示す図である。
すなわち、本第2の実施形態に係るチューナモジュール10Aは、小型化されている例である、第1の実施形態で既に説明した部分には同様の番号が付してある。
15の長さに比例する高周波インダクタンス値を小さくできる。
一般に、インダクタンス成分は高い周波数に比例してインピーダンスが大きくなるので、芯線15の全長は短いほど高い周波数でのロスが大きくなる。
本例では芯線15が持つインダクタンスを小さくすることができるのでより高い周波数での受信感度の劣化を防ぐことができる。
図5は、本発明の第3の実施形態に係るチューナモジュールの構成例を示す図である。
もちろん、本例においてもアンテナコネクタ14は図1と同じようにシールドケース13Bの異なる面に取り付けることも可能である。
これに伴い、主基板12上のチューナモジュール基板11Bの配置に大きな自由度を与えることができ、TVセットあるいはビデオレコーダーの機構的な設計を容易にする。
あるいは、チューナモジュール基板11B上にスルーホール穴を設け、主基板12にも同心状の穴を設けてアンテナコネクタ14の芯線15がチューナモジュール基板11Bとは確実に接触するように施す構造を採用することも可能である。
このとき、主基板12上の穴は何処にも接続されないようにすれば良く、アンテナコネクタ14の芯線15との接続の有無は関係無い。
そして少なくとも4つのアンテナコネクタの取り付け位置を有したTVチューナモジュールを提供できるので、主基板上でのレイアウトに多くのバリエーション、自由度を与えることができる。
その結果、従来は構造的なバリエーションを実現するには、多数の派生機種を設計しなければならず、非常に多くの労力を必要としたが、本実施形態により共通のモジュール基板を用いることができる。
これに伴い、複数の仕向けによっても単一の構成で対応できるので、設計期間を短縮させることができる。
そして、本構成のチューナモジュールを主基板上に直接マウントして構成し、チューナモジュール基板を排した構成例でも、本発明は適用できる。
図6は、本実施形態に係るチューナモジュールを採用した受信装置の構成例を示す図である。
この受信装置20は、たとえば地上放送波信号あるいは衛星放送波信号を受信可能に構成される。
受信装置20は、図6に示すように、放送波信号を受信する受信アンテナ21、周波数変換機能を含むチューナモジュール22、および復調部23を有する、
チューナモジュール22として、前述した第1から第3の実施形態に係るチューナモジュール10,10A,10Bを採用することが可能である。
LNA223は、フィルタ222を介した放送波信号を増幅してチューナ部224に供給する。
チューナ224部は、受信信号が衛星放送波信号の場合、ベースバンド信号に周波数変換し、地上放送波信号の場合、中間周波信号に周波数変換して復調部23に出力する。
復調部は、受信信号がデジタル地上放送波信号の場合、中間周波信号の映像信号および音声信号を復調し、トランスポートストリームを生成する。
復調部は、受信信号がアナログ地上放送波信号の場合、中間周波信号の映像信号および音声信号を復調し、アナログ映像信号およびアナログ音声信号を生成する。

Claims (11)
- チューナ機能部が形成されたチューナモジュール基板と、
上記チューナモジュール基板が面実装された主基板と、
少なくとも一つのアンテナコネクタを有し、面実装された上記チューナモジュール基板を覆うように配置され、上記主基板に固定されるシールドケースと
を有するチューナモジュール。 - 上記シールドケースは、
最も長い長辺の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである
請求項1に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 上記シールドケースの内部は、
内壁により複数の隔壁を持つ仕切り領域が形成され、最も長い内壁の長辺の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである
請求項2に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 上記アンテナコネクタは、
露出する芯線分の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである
請求項1に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 上記アンテナコネクタの入力信号の供給点である芯線と上記チューナ機能部の間を上記主基板上の配線によって高周波的に接続する構造を有する
請求項1に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 上記アンテナコネクタの芯線部は、上記チューナモジュール基板と直接接触させることで接続されている
請求項1に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 上記アンテナコネクタの芯線部は、
上記チューナ機能部に直接貫通させ、その下部にある上記主基板をも貫通させて固定されている
請求項6に記載のチューナモジュール。 - 放送波信号を受信するアンテナに接続されるアンテナコネクタと、
上記アンテナコネクタを通して受信した放送波信号の周波数変換機能を含むチューナモジュールと、
周波数変換された放送波信号を復調する復調部と、を有し、
上記チューナモジュールは、
上記周波数変換機能を含むチューナ機能部が形成されたチューナモジュール基板と、
上記チューナモジュール基板が面実装された主基板と、
少なくとも一つの上記アンテナコネクタを有し、面実装された上記チューナモジュール基板を覆うように配置され、上記主基板に固定されるシールドケースと、を含む
受信装置。 - 上記シールドケースは、
最も長い長辺の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである
請求項8に記載の受信装置。 - 上記シールドケースの内部は、
内壁により複数の隔壁を持つ仕切り領域が形成され、最も長い内壁の長辺の長さが、受信する最高周波数の空気中の波長の1/4以下の長さである
