Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Einpresskontakt (1) sowie ein Einpresswerkzeug (6) zur Verbindung eines elektronischen Bauelementes (B) mit einer Leiterplatte (L), wobei der Einpresskontakt des elektronischen Bauelementes durch das Einpresswerkzeug in eine Kontaktöffnung (L1) der Leiterplatte einpressbar ist und ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Einpresskontaktes. Erfindungsgemäss weist der Einpresskontakt wenigstens einen in einer Führungskontur (7.1) des Einpresswerkzeuges lagefixierend aufnehmbaren Führungsbereich (1.1) mit einer maximalen Führungslänge (a1) und einer maximalen Breite (b1) auf, wobei die maximale Führungslänge des Führungsbereiches ein Mehrfaches der maximalen Breite beträgt oder im Wesentlichen gleich oder nur geringfügig kleiner als die maximalen Breite ist und/oder wobei der Führungsbereich eine hohe Steifigkeit in Einpressrichtung (z-Richtung) und eine Flexibility in die anderen Richtungen (x/y-Richtungen) aufweist. Verfahrensgemäss werden in einem Band hergestellte aneinandergereihte (verkettete) Konturen der Einpresskontakte einer Trennstation zugeführt und in dieser an vorgegebenen Trennstellen zu einzelnen Einpresskontakten getrennt.
