- hexamethylenetetramine and hexamethoxymethylmelamine which are generally used as curing agents, are ammonium when heated above the decomposition temperature during kneading or in the vulcanization process. Generates volatile gases such as gas and formaldehyde. In the case of a rubber member including a steel cord or an organic fiber cord such as a tire, the ammonium gas causes a decrease in adhesion between the rubber and the cord. Further, since hexamethylenetetramine is also a rubber vulcanization accelerator, there is a drawback that the rubber tends to scorch when added in a large amount.
- the resin obtained has a structure in which the phenols are almost bonded by methylene groups (the amount of dimethylene ether groups is 10 mol% or less). Therefore, although the above problem can be dealt with, for example, when the obtained rubber composition is used for a tire, the strength at break is not sufficient, and when the rubber composition is disposed in the bead portion, Since the adhesiveness was insufficient, the durability when using the tire could not be satisfied.

Abstract
