本願は、2008年1月15日に、日本に出願された特願2008-006301号に基づき優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
また、易開封性を有する棒状物品用の包装体として、該包装体の長手方向の一端側に、その長手方向と交差する方向に延びるフィルム開封用のミシン目が形成され、前記ミシン目の外側の前記一端側のフィルム部位を摘むことで包装体の包装フィルムが被包装物の端部に接触した際に、前記ミシン目が前記被包装物の外側に位置するように設定された包装体が示されている(特許文献2)。
また、特許文献2の包装体は、バリア性を備えた包装袋が考慮されておらず、食品や医薬品等の内容物の変質を防ぐために水蒸気、酸素、光等を遮蔽する機能を有する包装袋にはそのまま適用することができなかった。
また、本発明の易開封包装袋は、前記弱化部の形状が、開封時に応力が集中する部分を有する形状であることが好ましい。
また、前記包材が、少なくとも最内層と機能層と最外層を有する積層フィルムであり、前記弱化部が前記機能層まで到達しないように設けられていることが好ましい。
また、前記弱化部が、不連続な切れ目を有する破線状に形成されていることが好ましい。
また、前記弱化部が、前記破線状に形成された凸形状部と、切れ目を連続させた実線からなる直線形状部により形成されていることが好ましい。

本発明の包装袋に収容する固形状の内容物としては、例えば、焼き菓子等の食品、医薬品、シリンジ等の医療器具等が挙げられる。また、前記内容物は、固形状の一体物であることが好ましい。
(易開封包装袋)
本実施形態の易開封包装袋1(以下、包装袋1という)は、図1~3に示すように、包材10における端部11、11を、同一面を合わせて重ね合わせることにより筒状にし、その合わせた端部11、11部分をヒートシールすることにより接合背貼り部21を筒部22(図1の筒部形成部12に相当)の側部に形成したピロー形状包装袋である。また、包装袋1は、図3に示すように、軸方向端部を閉じる上部24の上部シール部24aがヒートシールされ、軸方向端部を閉じる底部26の底部シール部26aがヒートシールされており、内部に固形状の内容物が収容される。
本発明では、この筒部端部23(内容物が占有していない部分)に、該筒部22の周方向に沿って、かつ接合背貼り部21の少なくとも一部を除くように弱化部30(30a)が形成される(図1~3)。弱化部30は筒部端部25に形成されていてもよい。
また、包装袋1に収容する固形状の内容物の長さa(一体物でない場合は各々の長さを合計したもの)は、包装袋1の上部シール部24aと底部シール部26aとの距離をbとしたとき、a/b=0.7~0.9とすることが好ましい。前記a/bの値を前記範囲内とすることで、開封に適した空間を有する筒部端部23、25が形成されやすく、包装袋1の開封がより容易になる。
積層フィルムの最外層に用いるフィルムとしては、機械適性、印刷適性が高いフィルムが好ましい。このようなフィルムとしては、例えば、二軸延伸ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、二軸延伸ポリアミド(ONY)、二軸延伸ポリプロピレン(OPP)等の延伸プラスチックフィルムが挙げられる。
なかでも、包装袋1の内部に収容する内容物が油脂分を含む場合には、油脂分の吸着が少ない未延伸ポリプロピレンフィルム(CPP)や、PP押し出し樹脂を用いることが好ましい。また、収容する内容物を充填包装する際に高速充填性が求められる場合には、低融点樹脂であるLDPE、LLDPEの樹脂またはこれらの混合樹脂、アイオノマー樹脂からなる未延伸フィルムを用いることが好ましい。また、未延伸フィルムを用いず、上述の樹脂を用いて押し出しラミネートによりフィルムを形成させてもよい。
包装袋1にガスバリア性が求められる場合には、例えば、金属蒸着PET、金属蒸着ONY、金属蒸着OPP、セラミックス蒸着PET、セラミックス蒸着ONY、セラミックス蒸着OPP等の蒸着フィルム;ポリビニルアルコール(PVOH)、エチレン-ビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH)、ポリ塩化ビニリデン(PVDC)等のバリアフィルム;PVDCコートPET、PVDCコートONY、PVDCコートOPP等のバリアコートフィルム等が挙げられる。
また、包装袋1に遮光性が求められる場合には、例えば、Al箔、Cu箔、Mg箔等の金属箔や金属蒸着フィルム等が挙げられる。
また、包装袋1に耐衝撃性が求められる場合には、例えば、延伸ポリアミド(ONY)、延伸ポリカーボネート(OPC)等が挙げられる。
これらの機能層は1層のみを単独で設けてもよく、2層以上を併用して設けてもよい。
また、最内層と最外層の間には、必要に応じて、機能層以外の他の層として、接着剤層や熱接着樹脂層等の接着層や、印刷層等を設けてもよい。
また、包材10として単層フィルムを用いる場合は、例えば、前記最内層として挙げたものを用いることができる。
また、包材10として積層フィルムを用いる場合には、最外層の厚さを6~40μm、最内層の厚さを15~60μm、機能層を4~40μmとすることが好ましい。また、接着層や印刷層等を設ける場合には、前記包材10の厚さの範囲内となるように設けることが好ましい。最外層、最内層、及び機能層の各層間に設ける接着層の厚さは1~30μmとすることが好ましい。
接合背貼り部21の幅が3mm以上であれば、開封時に接合背貼り部21が切断されず、すなわち開封片が生じることを防ぐことが容易になる。また、接合背貼り部21の幅が30mm以下であれば、得られた包装袋1のデザイン性が向上する。
破線状の弱化部は、レーザー加工や、金属製等の刃による機械的な加工等により形成できる。
切れ目の長さcは、1~5mmであることが好ましい。また、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dは、0.2~1mmであることが好ましい。切れ目の長さc及び切れ目と切れ目の間隔dは、途中で変化してもよい。また、弱化部30は切れ目を連続させて実線としてもよく、破線状と実線の組み合わせでもよい。
また、開封及び内容物の取り出しの容易性が著しく低下しない範囲内であれば、弱化部30を一周させるように設けずに、包装袋1の接合背貼り部21近傍において弱化部30が形成されていない部分があってもよい。すなわち、図1において、弱化部30が両方の端部11、11に到達しないように設けられていても構わない。この場合、弱化部30が筒部22に、半周以上形成されているようにすることが好ましい。
また、開封時に接合背貼り部21が容易に切断されて開封片が生じてしまわない範囲内であれば、弱化部30が接合背貼り部21に一部到達していても構わない。
弱化部30aにおいては、包装袋1を開封する際に弱化部30a近傍に力を加えた場合に、応力が凸形状部31aに集中するために開封が容易になる。また、円弧状の凸形状部31aは、応力を直線形状部32へと適切に伝播させやすいため、容易に開封が行える。
周方向Xに対する直線形状部32の傾斜角θは、1~45°、すなわちtanθ=0.017~1.000であることが好ましい。傾斜角θが1°以上であれば、凸形状部31aと直線形状部32との差異が明らかになるため、凸形状部31aに応力が集中しやすくなり、包装袋1の開封が容易になる。傾斜角θが45°以下であれば、直線形状部32が接合背貼り部21に到達するまでの距離が短いため、片手による開封で直線形状部32が容易に切断されるため、包装袋1の開封が容易になる。
また、直線形状部32を切れ目を連続させた実線とすることで、開封がより伝播しやすくなる。そのため、前記応力によって凸形状部31aが開封された後にそれが直線形状部32へと容易に伝播することで開封がさらに容易になる。
弱化部30における実線の部分は、破線状の部分と同様に、レーザー加工や、金属製等の刃による機械的な加工等により形成できる。
図5Cのような形態の弱化部30の場合、直線形状部32の直線部分と傾斜部分はそれぞれ破線状の切れ目であっても実線であってもよく、直線部分を破線状に形成し、傾斜部分を実線とすることが好ましい。
また、図6Cに示すように、2つの角を有し、先端にいくにつれて幅が狭くなる凸形状が挙げられる。このような形状であれば、凸形状部31の傾斜部分と直線形状部32との角度がより大きくなり鈍角になるため、凸形状部31に集中した応力を直線形状部32へより適切に伝播させやすくなる。
また、図6Dに示すように、直線形状部32が同一線上に形成されておらず、それらの直線形状部32が直線状に結ばれている形状であってもよい。このような形状であれば、レーザーの軌跡、あるいは金属製等の刃の形状を単純化できるという効果がある。
また、円弧を円としたときの中心が凸形状部31aの末端同士を結ぶ線上にある半円形状としてもよい(図6E)。
図6A~Eでは、直線形状部32は傾斜していないものを例示したが、直線形状部32は傾斜していてもよい。
傷痕部40は、例えば、金属製等の刃、サンドペーパー、砥石等により形成することができる。
このような形態で上部シール部24aをシールすることにより、波形状の起伏の部分が、包装袋1の開封の際に凸形状部31aを押圧する親指の滑り止めとなるため、より効率的に弱化部30に応力を加えることができることで包装袋1の開封が容易になる。また弱化部30が筒部端部25に設けられている場合、底部シール部26aは、少なくとも軸方向において凸形状部31aと対応する部分が波形状のシール目であることが好ましい。上部シール部24aと底部シール部26aは、デザイン性の点から、同様のシール目であることが好ましい。
以下、本実施形態の包装袋1の製造方法を説明する。
包材10として積層フィルムを使用する場合は、最外層及び最内層、並びに必要に応じて機能層を形成するフィルムを用いて、ドライラミネート法や押出ラミネート法によりフィルム積層体を作製する。
弱化部30を設ける方法としては、非直線部(凸形状部31a等)の加工が容易である点からレーザー加工であることが好ましく、なかでも炭酸ガスレーザーによる加工がより好ましい。
以下、本発明の易開封包装袋を開封する方法について、図8及び図9に基づいて説明する。図8は、前述した包装袋1を片手で開封する様子を示した斜視図であり、図9は、包装袋2を片手で開封する様子を示した斜視図である。
包装袋1及び包装袋2は、以上のような方法により片手であっても容易に開封することができる。
[実施例1]
包材10として、最外層から順にPET(16μm)/印刷層/接着層(1μm)/Al(7μm)/LDPE(60μm)の積層フィルムをドライラミネート法と押し出しラミネート法により作製し、裁断したものを用いた(縦155mm×横115mm)。
ついで、炭酸ガスレーザー加工により、この包材10のうち両方の端部11、11(幅10mm)を除く筒部形成部12に弱化部30を形成した。形成した弱化部30の形状は、包装袋となった時に筒部22の底部26に向かって凸となる円弧状の凸形状部31aと、該凸形状部31aの両側に傾斜した直線形状部32とを有する形状とした(図1及び図5A)。また、凸形状部31aを破線状に形成し、直線形状部32を実線とした。凸形状部31aの幅eは20mm、高さfは0.5mm(円弧の半径80mm)とした。また、弱化部30の周方向の長さg(図5A)は80mmとし、凸形状部31aの両側の直線形状部32は共に、周方向の長さを30mm、短手方向(筒部22の周方向Xに相当)に対する傾斜角θをtanθ=4/30とする傾斜した直線形状部とした。また、凸形状部31aの破線状の部分は、切れ目の長さcを1mm、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dを0.5mmとした。
ついで、内部に固形状の内容物として焼き菓子を充填した状態で上部シール部24a及び底部シール部26aを、波形状のシール目を形成できるヒートシールバーを用いてヒートシールして包装袋1(包装袋1A)を作製した(図3)。
また、凸形状部31aの破線状の部分を、切れ目の長さcが0.8mm、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dが0.3mmとなるように変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして包装袋1Bを作製した。
得られた包装袋1Bを、実施例1と同様にして開封したところ、開封は非常に容易に行うことができ、また接合背貼り部21部分が切断されずに上部24が残り、細かい開封片が生じなかった。
凸形状部31aと直線形状部32を共に破線状に形成(図5B)した以外は、実施例1と同様にして包装袋1Cを作製した。
得られた包装袋1Cを、実施例1と同様にして開封したところ、開封は容易に行うことができ、また接合背貼り部21部分が切断されずに上部24が残り、細かい開封片が生じなかった。
直線形状部32を、凸形状部31aから一旦短手方向(筒部22の周方向Xに相当)に沿うように破線状に形成し、その後傾斜させて実線とした(図5C)以外は、実施例2と同様にして包装袋1Dを作製した。直線形状部32の短手方向に沿った部分の長さは10mm、傾斜部分の傾斜角θはtanθ=4/20であった。また、凸形状部31aの破線状の部分は、切れ目の長さcが0.8mm、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dが0.3mmであり、直線形状部32の短手方向に沿った部分における破線状の部分は長さcが1mm、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dが0.3mmであった。
得られた包装袋1Dを、実施例1と同様にして開封したところ、開封は容易に行うことができ、また接合背貼り部21部分が切断されずに上部24が残り、細かい開封片が生じなかった。
包材10として、最外層から順にPET(16μm)/印刷層/接着層(1μm)/Al(7μm)/LDPE(60μm)の積層フィルムをドライラミネート法と押出ラミネート法により作製し、裁断したものを用いた(縦155mm×横115mm)。
ついで、炭酸ガスレーザー加工により、この包材10のうち両方の端部11、11(幅10mm)を除く筒部形成部12に、短手方向に沿って弱化部30を破線状に形成した。形成した弱化部30の形状は、包装袋となった時に筒部22の底部26に向かって凸形状となる半円形の凸形状部31と、該凸形状部31の両側に短手方向に沿った直線形状部32とを有する形状とした(図6E)。前記凸形状部31の破線状の部分は、切れ目の長さcを1mm、切れ目と切れ目の間隔dを0.5mmとした。
実施例5と同じ包材10を用いて、形成した弱化部30の形状を、包装袋となった時に筒部22の上部24に向かって凸形状となる半円形の凸形状部31と、該凸形状部31bの両側に短手方向に沿った直線形状部32とを有する形状とした以外は、実施例5と同様の方法で包装袋4を作製した(図11)。
開封は容易に行うことができ、また接合背貼り部21部分が切断されずに上部24が残り、細かい開封片が生じなかった。
また、実施例1~6を比較すると、実施例1および2の包装袋1A、1Bが特に開封が容易であり、また包装袋1C、1Dは包装袋3、4よりも開封がより容易であった。
Claims (10)
- 包材の両方の端部を合わせて筒状にし、その合わせた両端部をヒートシールして、筒部の側部に接合背貼り部を形成した、前記筒部の内部に固形状の内容物を収容する包装袋であって、
前記筒部のうち前記内容物が占有していない部分に、該筒部の周方向に沿って、かつ前記接合背貼り部の少なくとも一部を除くように弱化部が設けられていることを特徴とする易開封包装袋。 - 前記弱化部の形状が、開封時に応力が集中する部分を有する形状である、請求項1に記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記包材が、少なくとも最内層と機能層と最外層を有する積層フィルムであり、前記弱化部が前記機能層まで到達しないように設けられている、請求項1又は2に記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記弱化部が、不連続な切れ目を有する破線状に形成されている、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記弱化部が、前記破線状に形成された凸形状部と、切れ目を連続させた実線からなる直線形状部により形成されている、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記弱化部が、円弧状の凸形状部と、該凸形状部の両端から該凸形状部の外側方向に延びる直線形状部により形成され、前記凸形状部が開封時に応力が集中する部分である、請求項2~5のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記直線形状部が、前記筒部の周方向に対して傾斜して設けられている、請求項5又は6に記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記筒部における軸方向の端部を閉じるシール部のうち少なくとも前記弱化部に近いシール部が、少なくとも一部に波形状のシール目が形成されたシール部である、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記包材が、少なくとも最内層と最外層を有する積層フィルムであり、前記最外層に前記弱化部が設けられ、前記最内層における前記最外層の弱化部に対応する部分に傷痕部が形成されている、請求項1~8のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
- 前記内容物が、固形状の一体物である、請求項1~9のいずれかに記載の易開封包装袋。
