Abstract

 光ファイバの軸方向及び軸に垂直な方向全ての並進及び回転位置決めを、光学接続点が少なく、部品点数が少なく、単純な構造の部品の組み合わせによって実現する光学接続構造及び光学接続方法を提供する。光ファイバと、外断面が円形の押圧体と、光学部材とを有する光学接続構造において、光学部材には、光学部品と光ファイバ突き当て構造と光ファイバ保持溝が備えられ、この光ファイバ突き当て構造が、光学部品と光ファイバ保持溝との間に位置しており、押圧体が、光ファイバ保持溝に直交して配設され、光ファイバが、光ファイバ保持溝に沿って光ファイバ突き当て構造に突き当たるまで挿入され、押圧体が、光ファイバの上面を光ファイバ保持溝の底方向に押圧して、光ファイバと上記光学部品とを光学的に接続する。
