Abstract

 簡易な構成で、直流オフセットや比較器の誤差を抑圧し、IQ信号の振幅と位相におけるミスマッチを高精度に補償する変調器(無線装置、変調方法)を提供する。 テスト信号を直交変調器に供給して生成される変調信号の包絡線検波を行い、さらにこの検波結果を比較判定した判定結果に基づき、制御部14は調整値と補償値とを導出する。そして、導出された補償値に基づき、手段17は直交変調器の直流オフセットやIQミスマッチを推定する。 前記テスト信号には、第1のテスト信号(I1、Q1)と、該第1のテスト信号と所定の関係を有する第2のテスト信号(I2、Q2)とからなる第1セットと、該第1セットと同相・直交成分が所定の関係を有する第2セットとがあり、前記制御部14は、前記第1セットおよび前記第2セットに対応してそれぞれ導出される第1の調整値および第2の調整値に基づいて前記補償値を求めるものである。
