Abstract

 排ガス処理装置の熱回収器11の出口の排ガス温度を無水硫酸(SO3)の露点温度以下にした後に集塵機4の入口の排ガス中又は集塵機4内の中間部位にある重金属吸着剤供給装置16から重金属吸着剤を供給し、重金属吸着剤を含む排ガスを集塵機4に供給する。このとき熱回収器11の出口の排ガス温度をSO3の露点温度以下にした後、0.1秒後に集塵機4の入口の排ガス中に重金属吸着剤を供給することが望ましい。また機器の酸腐食を防止するために熱回収器11の入口又は出口の排ガス中にアルカリを噴霧し、熱回収器出口の排ガス温度をSO3の露点温度以下にした後に重金属吸着剤を供給することが望ましい。こうして硫黄分を多く含む石炭を燃料として用いた場合でも排ガス中の重金属を効果的に除去することができる。
