Definitions
- the invention relates to a shaving system for an electric hair removal device, in particular for an electric shaver.
- the invention further relates to a hair removal device, in particular an electric shaver, with such a shaving system.
- Shear systems are used in a variety of forms in electric shavers.
- the formation of the shaving systems sometimes involves considerable effort in order to achieve the closest possible shave.
- a difficult problem here is the reliable removal of hair lying flat against the skin and shear systems are already known which are equipped with construction elements specially developed for this purpose.
- CA 1 134 706 it is known from CA 1 134 706 to arrange a computing element in the middle of an electric shaver between two cutting areas of a pre-cutter arranged at a lateral distance from one another.
- the pre-cutter has a stationary outer knife and a movable inner knife.
- the computing element is attached to the stationary outer knife and has prongs protruding from this knife.
- the computing element is used to lift ingrown hairs and thereby make them accessible for the cutting process.
- an electric shaver with at least one shaving head is known from DE 959 167 C.
- the shaving head has a movable knife, which is covered by a perforated protective plate. Brushes, the tips of which protrude above the level of the protective plate, are fixedly arranged on both sides of the protective plate in front of the inlet slots of the protective plate. The brushes should make it easier for the hair to penetrate the perforation of the protective plate.
- JP 10-323463 discloses a shaving system for an electric shaver, which has a fixed knife and a movable knife.
- the fixed knife is U-shaped in cross section and has a large number of slots.
- the movable knife slides on the inside of the fixed knife.
- a comb is arranged in an intermediate space in the fixed knife, which is firmly connected to the fixed knife and has a height which is less than the top of the fixed knife. Lying hair should be straightened up by the comb and fed to the slots of the fixed knife.
- a shaving head for a blade razor is known from EP 0855256 B1.
- the shaving head has a blade for cutting hair close to the skin.
- the shaving head has a manipulator that moves the hair along the blade and against the skin when cutting.
- the manipulator is driven by a gear and has serrations and recesses in between.
- US 2,568,047 discloses a blade razor in which guide rollers are arranged on both sides next to the blade.
- the guide rollers have raised bumps and ditches on the outside and are set in rotation by the skin contact during shaving.
- the rotating guide rollers set the skin and the stubble in motion relative to the cutting edge of the blade, thereby supporting a clean cut.
- the invention has for its object to provide a shaving system for an electrical hair removal device so that the most thorough and skin-friendly hair removal possible.
- the shaving system according to the invention for an electric hair removal device in particular for an electric shaver, has at least one shaving unit with an upper knife and a lower knife, which are set in motion relative to one another. Furthermore, the shear system according to the invention has at least one feed device upstream of the shear unit.
- the special feature of the shear system according to the invention is that the feed device is set in motion relative to the upper knife.
- the invention has the advantage that a very effective hair removal is achieved.
- long and / or hair lying close to the skin is also detected and removed with a comparatively high probability by the shaving system according to the invention.
- Another advantage is that a very short cut is possible with the shear system according to the invention compared to known systems, i. that is, the hair is severed very close to the surface of the skin.
- the feed device can have a plurality of feed elements which are arranged correlated to the geometry of the upper knife. These feed elements preferably consist of little least in an area intended for skin contact made of a plastic material. This has the advantage that very good skin protection is guaranteed.
- the feed elements of the feed device can be arranged laterally next to the shaving unit. It is particularly advantageous if the feed device is in contact with the shaving unit from the side only in regions. The friction can be kept low by a small contact area between the feed device and the shaving unit, so that the additional power consumption for driving the feed device is comparatively low.
- the upper knife can alternately have webs and cutting openings in succession, the feed elements of the feed device being in front of the webs.
- This has the advantage that hair from the area of the webs can be fed to the cutting openings with the aid of the feed elements and can thus also be separated.
- the webs are in particular shaped such that the cutting openings widen from the side of the upper knife on which the lower knife is arranged to the surroundings. This shape makes it easier to thread the hair into the cutting openings. It is also advantageous if the webs enclose an angle with a cutting edge of the lower knife. Edge-to-edge joints between the lower knife and the upper knife can be avoided and the threading efficiency can be positively influenced.
- the feed device is moved parallel to a direction in which the webs and cutting openings of the upper knife follow one another.
- the feed device is preferably set in an oscillating movement.
- the frequency of the oscillating movement of the feed device can correspond in particular to the frequency of the relative movement between the upper knife and the lower knife.
- the amplitude is preferably chosen to be smaller than the amplitude of the relative movement between the upper knife and the lower knife.
- Such a movement can be generated without great effort and enables the hair to be effectively fed to the cutting openings. In addition, this movement is comparatively gentle on the skin.
- a coupling mechanism can be provided for transmitting the relative movement between the upper knife and the lower knife to the feed device.
- the feed device can in particular be designed in the form of a comb, the tines of which are oriented essentially perpendicular to a plane which is provided in the shaving unit for making skin contact. The free ends of the tines can reach the level intended for skin contact.
- the invention further relates to an electric hair removal device, in particular an electric shaver, with the shaving system according to the invention.

- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a first exemplary embodiment of a shaving head 1 of an electric shaver designed according to the invention. An enlarged section from FIG. 1 is shown in FIG. 2.
- the shaving head 1 has a housing part 2 and two shaving foils 3 arranged at a distance from one another.
- a pre-cutter 4 is arranged between the shaving foils 3.
- the pre-cutter 4 is used to shorten comparatively long and / or closely fitting hair so that it can easily penetrate the perforation of the shaving foils 3.
- the pre-cutter 4 has a cutting comb 5 and a cutting blade 6 arranged inside the cutting comb 5.
- the cutting comb 5 has a multiplicity of U-shaped webs 7 which are arranged parallel to one another and which are separated from one another by slots 8 lying in between for the hair entry.
- the webs 7 are connected to one another in the middle of the cutting comb 5 by a central web 9.
- the cutting blade 6 performs a linearly oscillating movement transverse to the webs 7 of the cutting comb 5 relative to the cutting comb 5. This movement cuts the hair threaded into the slots 8 of the cutting comb 5.
- a feed comb 10 is arranged between the cutting comb 5 and the two adjacent shaving foils 3. The shape of the feed combs 10 is shown in detail in FIG. 3.
- Fig. 3 shows a feed comb 10 for the first embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a perspective view.
- the feed comb 10 has a plurality of tines 11 oriented parallel to one another. Furthermore, the feed comb has two perforations 12 for screws or other fastening means and an extension 13 for coupling a drive element.
- the tines 11 are oriented essentially perpendicular to the back of the cutting comb 5, which sur against the skin. Consequently, the teeth 11 of the feed combs 10 run substantially perpendicular to the surface of the skin when shaving.
- the arrangement of the tines 11 of the feed combs 10 correlates with the geometry of the cutting comb 5. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the correlation is designed such that each web 7 of the cutting comb 5 is preceded on both sides by a prong 11 of the feed combs 10. This makes it possible to move hair out of the area in front of the webs 7 of the cutting comb 5 and to facilitate threading the hair into the slots 8.
- a particularly effective supply of hair from the web area to the slots 8 is achieved according to the invention in that the feed combs 10 are set in a linearly oscillating movement parallel to their longitudinal extension. For this oscillating movement, an amplitude that is smaller than the amplitude of the cutting blade 6 and a frequency above approximately 50 Hz is preferably selected.
- the oscillating movement of the feed combs 10 can be generated by coupling to the drive of the cutting blade 6.
- the amplitude of the oscillating movement of the feed combs 10 can be adjusted via the position of the coupling point. Due to the oscillating movement, the hairs gripped by the feed combs 10 are moved out of their current position. In addition, a torque is exerted on the hair, which the hair dodges by increasing the angle to the skin surface.
- the oscillating movement of the feed combs 10 therefore results in an uprighting movement of the hair.
- the slits 8 of the cutting comb 5 By actively feeding the hair to the slits 8 of the cutting comb 5 with the aid of the oscillating feed combs 10, the slits 8 can be made narrower than systems without an oscillating feed comb 10. This in turn opens up the possibility of producing the cutting comb 5 from a thinner material with the same stability and thereby cutting the hair shorter. In this way, a cutting length of less than 0.2 mm can be achieved in the first embodiment. Such a short cutting length enables the geometry of the shaving foils 3 to be simplified.
- FIG. 4 shows a pre-cutter 4 including a feed comb 10 for a second exemplary embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a perspective exploded view.
- the associated assembled state is shown in FIG. 5.
- the cutting comb 5 with the associated cutting blade 6 is provided.
- the cutting comb 5 is surrounded on both sides by a feed comb 10 which is U-shaped in cross section and carries out a linearly oscillating movement and transmits this movement to the skin and hair in its vicinity when shaving.
- the feed comb 10 does not lie laterally over the entire area of the cutting comb 5, but only in the region of four circular embossings 14. As a result, the friction between the feed comb 10 and the cutting comb 5 can be kept relatively low.
- Openings 15 are formed within the embossments 14 for introducing axes for driving or for fastening.
- the feed comb 10 is stabilized in its U-shape by the axes.
- the axes can be axially fixed by discs which can be arranged in the embossments 14 and thus do not take up any additional installation space. Further design differences of the feed comb 10 in the first and second exemplary embodiments of the shaving head 1 will be discussed in more detail below. 4 and 5, two side parts 16 of the cutting arm 5, two supports 17 for the cutting blade 6, a driving lever 18 and a translating lever 19 are shown as further components.
- Fig. 6 shows the second embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a cross section shown.
- the cutout relates to the pre-cutter 4 including the feed comb 10.
- the feed comb 10 has comparatively solid, rounded tines 11.
- a typical dimension of a tine 11 transverse to the longitudinal extension of the feed comb 10 is 1 mm.
- the dimension of the tines 11 is approximately 1.1 mm perpendicular to the skin plane.
- the tines 11 are injection-molded from plastic, for example from POM, and are arranged on an end region of the feed comb 10 that is hook-shaped in cross section.
- the tines 11 are not arranged in a completely rigid manner in the longitudinal direction of the feed comb 10, but rather can be displaced slightly relative to the feed comb 10 in order to prevent the feed comb 10 from warping. With this design of the tines 11, a particularly high level of skin protection can be achieved. Analogously to the first exemplary embodiment, the tines 11 are in turn in front of the webs 7 of the cutting comb 5. Likewise, as in the first exemplary embodiment, the cutting comb 5 is made of a relatively thin material. The material thickness is approximately 0.13 mm. The outer edges of the cutting comb 5 are not formed with sharp edges due to the bending process used in the production, but have a radius with a radius of 0.3 to 0.45 mm. Further details on the design of the cutting comb 5 are explained with reference to FIGS. 7 and 8.
- FIG. 7 shows the pre-cutter 4 including the feed comb 10 for the second exemplary embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a top view shown in sections.
- the cutting comb 5 in the second exemplary embodiment in contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, does not have a central web 9, so that the slots 8 run continuously over the entire width of the cutting comb 5. This makes it easier to thread long hair in particular.
- the webs 7 of the cutting comb 5 do not run par- allel to the cutting blade 6, but form an angle o of, for example, 4 degrees with the cutting blade 6. This prevents an edge-to-edge joint between the cutting blade 6 and the cutting comb 5 during operation of the pre-cutter 4.
- the angle a and the geometry of the cutting comb 5 and the feed comb 10 are coordinated with one another in such a way that the tines 11 of the feed comb 10 are in each case upstream of the webs 7 on both sides of the cutting comb 5 despite the offset of the webs 7 of the cutting comb 5.
- Fig. 8 shows the pre-cutter 4 for the second embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a partial longitudinal section.
- the cutout shown in each case comprises a partial area of the cutting comb 5 and the cutting blade 6 arranged underneath.
- the slots 8 of the cutting comb 5 widen from the side on which the cutting blade 6 rests to the side which occurs when the skin is shaved is applied.
- the width of the slots 8 is typically 0.37 mm on the skin side and typically on the side of the cutting blade 6 0.30 mm. This geometry favors threading the hair into the slots 8 of the cutting comb 5.
- Fig. 9 shows the pre-cutter 4 for the second embodiment of the shaving head 1 in a side view.
- the feed comb 10 is not mounted in this illustration, so that the drive mechanism of the feed comb 10 is visible.
- the feed comb 10 is driven by a mechanical coupling to the cutting blade 6, which performs a linearly oscillating movement.
- the driver lever 18 is connected at one end to the structure of the cutting blade 6 via a first joint 20. At its other end, the driver lever 18 is fastened to one end of the translator lever 19 via a second joint 21.
- the joints 20 and 21 can also be replaced by plastic hinges.
- the other end of the translator lever 19 is suspended on the cutting comb 5 by means of a pivot axis 22, so that the translator lever 19 drives a pivoting movement about the pivot axis 22 driven by the driving lever 18.
- a drive axis 23 for the feed comb 10 is attached to the translator lever 19. From this geometry it follows that the closer the drive axis 23 is arranged to the pivot axis 22, the smaller the amplitude of the movement transmitted to the feed comb 10 via the drive axis 23.
- the amplitude of the movement of the cutting blade 6 is reduced by the translating lever 19 to about a fifth, so that the feed comb 10 performs a linearly oscillating movement with the same frequency as the cutting blade 6, but with a reduced amplitude.
- an amplitude for the oscillating movement of the Cutting blade 6 of 2.2 mm based on the extreme deflections results in an amplitude of 0.44 mm for the feed comb 10, also based on the extreme deflections.
- the feed comb 10 is suspended on the housing part 2 such that it can vibrate on its two end faces. This is shown in Fig. 10.
- the 10 shows the feed comb 10 for the second exemplary embodiment of the shaving head 1 in the region of one of its end faces in a perspective view.
- the end face is designed as a leaf spring 24 connected in one piece to the feed comb 10.
- the leaf spring 24 has a perforation 25, into which, for example, a fastening screw for fastening the leaf spring 24 to the housing part 2 can be inserted.
