図 1は、 本発明の実施の形態 1による除霜ヒータ 2 0の要部断面図である。 除 霜ヒ一夕 2 0は抵抗線をコイル状に形成したヒータ線 2 1を内蔵する。 ヒータ線 2 1の両端近傍は直線状の接続端 2 1 aを有する。 ヒータ線 2 1を覆うガラス管 2 3は外径 1 0 . 5 mm程度で、 両端が開口した円筒形状を有する。 ガラス管 2 3を覆うガラス管 2 4は、 外径 2 0 mm程度で、 両端を開口した円筒形状を有す る。 ヒータ線 2 1には導電性のスリーブ 2 8を介してリード線 2 6が接続されて いる。 シリコンゴム製の栓 2 2は、 ガラス管 2 3とガラス管 2 4の開口端を覆つ ている。 リード線 2 6は栓 2 2に設けられた孔 2 2 aを通ってヒータ線 2 1に接 続されている。 栓 2 2にはガラス管 2 3の内部空間 2 3 aや、 ガラス管 2 3とガ ラス管 2 4で囲まれた空間 2 4 aから栓 2 2の外部に通じる孔 2 2 bが設けられ ている。 孔 2 2 bはその最小断面積が 7 . 1平方ミリメートル以下である。 ゴム 製の弁 2 5は、 孔 2 2 bに有底の筒 2 7の開口部 2 7 Aを塞ぐように筒 2 7に取 り付けられている。 弁 2 5は所定の圧力差で一方向にだけ開弁する逆止弁として 作用する。
栓 2 2には予め所定の孔 2 2 bが弁 2 5で塞がれている簡素な構造により、 栓 2 2の形状が複雑でなく、 低コストである。
図 2は、 実施の形態による除霜ヒータ 2 0を用いた冷蔵庫の冷凍システムを示 す。 圧縮機 6 0、 凝縮器 6 1、 減圧機構 6 2と蒸発器 1 0よりなる冷凍サイクル には可燃性冷媒が封入され、 圧縮機 6 0、 凝縮器 6 1、 減圧機構 6 2と蒸発器 1 0を循環する。 冷凍サイクルは冷却装置、 例えば冷蔵庫に設けられて冷蔵庫の冷 却室を冷却する。
以上のように構成された除霜ヒータ.2 0の動作を説明する。 圧縮機 6 0の運転 により送られた冷媒により蒸発器 1 0が冷却される。 圧縮機 6 0と同時に作動す るファン 1 1により冷蔵庫内の空気が、 冷却された蒸発器 1 0を通過し、 蒸発器 1 0と熱交換された冷気が冷蔵庫内へ吐出される。 圧縮機 6 0は所定の運転時間 が経過後に停止する。 停止と同時にリード線 2 6を通じてヒータ線 2 1が通電さ れ除霜ヒー夕 2 0は発熱する。
ヒータ線 2 1の発熱により、 輻射熱線の一部は直接外部へ透過するが、 その他 はガラス管 2 3、 ガラス管 2 4に伝わり、 ガラス管 2 4の表面の温度を可燃性冷 媒の発火温度未満の温度に上昇させて外部へ放熱され、 蒸発器の周辺部品の除霜 を安全に行う。
このとき、 ガラス管 2 3の内部空間 2 3 a、 およびガラス管 2 3とガラス管 2 4で囲まれた空間 2 4 aでは温度の上昇によりそれらでの気体が膨張する。 しか し、 弁 2 5は膨張した空気により変形し、 膨張した空気は孔 2 2 bを通って弁 2 5から外部に排出されるので、 空間 2 3 aと 2 4 aで圧力は上昇せず、 ガラス管 2 3と 2 4は破損せず、 栓 2 2は抜けない。
その後ヒータ線 2 1への通電を停止し再び冷却が開始されるとガラス管 2 3と 2 4の内部が温度の低下により減圧する。 除霜ヒータ 2 0の内部では減圧された 状態が保たれるので、 弁 2 5は外気の流入を妨げている。 したがって、 可燃性冷 媒が除霜ヒータ 2 0の周辺に存在しても、 除霜ヒータ 2 0の内部に可燃性冷媒が 流入しにくく、 冷媒に着火する可能性は極めて低い。
もし、 ガラス管内部に可燃性冷媒が流入し、 ヒータ線 2 1によって着火しても、 弁 2 5がガラス管の内部が所定圧力以上になった場合にわずかに開き、 圧力が上 がりすぎるのを防止するが、 弁 2 5は火炎を遮断して、 外部への火炎伝播を防ぐ ことができる。
また、 孔 2 2 bはその最小断面積が 7 . 1平方ミリメートル以下と非常に細く、 その中を火炎は通れない。 したがって、 もし'弁 2 5が欠落しても、 火炎が孔 2 2 bを通過できないので、 火炎は外部に伝播できない。 弁 2 5は有底の筒 2 7を介して栓 2 2に取り付けられている。 弁 2 5はゴム製 であり、 ゴム製の栓 2 2に直接取り付けられると、 弁 2 5の位置が定まり難く、 弁 2 5が開く圧力のパラツキを生じる場合がある。 また弁 2 5は栓 2 2に直接固 定しにくい。 弁 2 5がゴムより硬い材料による筒 2 7に取り付けられることでそ れが開く圧力が安定し、 筒 2 7は栓 2 2に容易に直接固定できる。 筒 2 7におけ る弁 2 5の取り付け部分の寸法を変えることで弁 2 5の開く圧力を変えることが できるので、 除霜ヒ一夕 2 0の発熱量やガラス管 2 3、 2 4の内容積等により最 適な圧力が設定できる。
図 3は除霜ヒータ 2 0の分解図である。 栓 2 2の孔 2 2 aの直径 D 1は、 リー ド線 2 6の直径 D 2よりも小さい。 したがって、 栓 2 2はリード線 2 6を締め付 けた状態で保持し、 外気や冷媒は孔 2 2 aを通って除霜ヒータ 2 0の内部に流入 しない。
リード線 2 6はシリコンゴム等の柔らかい被覆 2 6 Aを有し、 したがって孔 2 2 aには通しにくい。 リード線 2 6の先端にスリーブ 2 8が取り付けられ、 そし てスリーブ 2 8を孔 2 2 aに通すことでリード線 2 6を容易に孔 2 2 aに挿入で さる。
図 4は実施の形態による他の除霜ヒータ 1 2 0を示す。 図 1に示す除霜ヒー夕 2 0では、 ガラス管 2 4の表面の外側は露出しているが、 図 4に示すように、 ガ ラス管 2 4の外側を金属製の管 5 0で覆ってもよい。 金属製の管 5 0が外郭とな りガラス管 2 4へ水が直接かかるのを防止する。
図 5に実施の形態における他の除霜ヒータ 2 2 0を示す。 図 1に示す除霜ヒー タ 2 0はガラス管 2 3、 2 4による 2重の構造を有するが、 除霜ヒ一夕 2 2 0は ガラス管 2 4を備えず、 ガラス管 2 3が露出している。 表面温度が可燃性冷媒の 着火点より低ければ 1つのガラス管 2 3のみでも同様の効果が得られる。
図 6は図 5に示す除霜ヒータ 2 2 0の要部断面図である。 シリコンゴム製の栓 1 2 2はガラス管 2 3の開口端を覆っている。 リード線 2 6は栓 1 2 2に設けら れた孔 1 2 2 aを通ってヒ一夕線 2 1に接続されている。 栓 1 2 2にはガラス管 2 3の内部空間 2 3 aから栓 1 2 2の外部に通じる孔 1 2 2 bが設けられている。 孔 1 2 2 bはその最小断面積が 7 . 1平方ミリメ一トル以下である。 ゴム製の弁 2 5は、 孔 1 2 2 bに有底の筒 2 7の開口部 2 7 Aを塞ぐように筒 2 7に取り付 けられている。 弁 2 5は所定の圧力差で一方向にだけ開弁する逆止弁として作用 する。
図 7は実施の形態によるさらに他の除霜ヒータ 3 2 0を示す。 図 6に示す除霜 ヒー夕 2 2 0では、 ガラス管 2 3の表面の外側は露出しているが、 図 7に示すよ うに、 ガラス管 2 3の外側を金属製の管 5 0で覆ってもよい。 金属製の管 5 0が 外郭となりガラス管 2 3へ水が直接かかるのを防止する。
さらに、 図 4と図 7において金属製の管 5 0の表面を例えば黒色で着色すれば、 金属製の管 5 0からの輻射熱が増加し、 除霜ヒータ 1 2 0、 3 2 0の除霜性能が 向上する。 さらに、 除霜ヒータ 1 2 0、 3 2 0の表面の温度上昇を抑制できるの で、 表面温度を可燃性冷媒の発火温度以下にするために金属製の管 5 0は有効で ある。.
また、 実施の形態において、 除霜ヒータ 2 0を用いる機器として冷蔵庫を説明 したが、 この機器は除霜ヒータ 1 2 0、 2 2 0、 3 2 0も同様に用いることがで きる。 また、 この機器は冷蔵庫に限定されず、 蒸発器を備えた冷却貯蔵庫、 たと えば可燃性冷媒を封入した冷凍サイクルを備えたショーケースや自動販売機など に広く適用できる。 産業上の利用可能性
除霜ヒータは、 冷凍サイクルの蒸発器に付着した霜を加熱して除去する。 その 除霜ヒー夕は、 ヒータ線を収納するガラス管を備え、 ガラス管の温度はあまり上 昇しない。 したがって、 冷凍サイクル中の冷媒が可燃性であってもガラス管は冷 媒の発火温度より高くならず、 したがって温度の上昇を抑えることを考慮する必 要は無い。

Claims

請求の範囲
1 . 冷凍サイクルの蒸発器に付着した霜を加熱して除去する除霜ヒー夕であって、 端に開口を有する第 1のガラス管と、
前記第 1のガラス管に収納されたヒ一夕線と、
前記第 1のガラス管の前記開口を覆い、 前記第 1のガラス管の内部と外部 とを連通する第 1の孔が形成された栓と、
前記栓の前記第 1の孔を通り、 前記ヒータ線に接続されたリード線と、 前記栓に設けられた、 前記第 1のガラス管の前記内部の気体を外部へ流出 させる弁と、
を備えた除霜ヒー夕。
2 . 前記弁は、 前記第 1のガラス管の内部が所定圧力以上になったときに変形す る、 請求の範囲第 1項に記載の除霜ヒ一夕。
3 . 前記栓には、 前記第 1のガラス管の前記内部を前記第 1のガラス管の外部 に連通する第 2の孔が設けられ、
前記弁は前記第 2の孔を塞ぐ、 請求の範囲第 1項に記載の除霜ヒータ。
4. 前記第 2の孔は、 火炎が伝播できない大きさの断面積を有する、 請求の範囲 第 3項に記載の除霜ヒー夕。
5. 前記第 2の孔に揷入された、 開.口部を有する筒をさらに備え、 前記弁は前記 筒の前記開口部を塞ぐ、 請求の範囲第 3項に記載の除霜ヒータ。
6 . 前記弁は、 前記第 1のガラス管の前記内部からのみ気体を流出する逆止弁で ある、 請求の範囲第 1項に記載の除霜ヒータ。
7 . 前記栓の前記第 1の孔の直径は、 前記リード線の直径よりも小さい、 請求の 範囲第 1項に記載の除霜ヒータ。
8 . 前記第 1のガラス管を収納する金属製の管をさらに備えた、 請求の範囲第 1 項に記載の除霜ヒータ。
9 . 前記金属製の管の表面は着色されている、 請求の範囲第 8項に記載の除霜ヒ

前記リ一ド線の取りつけられた前記スリ一ブを前記栓の前記孔に通すステ ップと、
前記スリーブに前記ヒータ線を接続するステップと、
