Definitions
- the invention relates to a slicer according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Slicers are known with a housing and a circular knife rotatably mounted therein, against which a clippings resting on a positioning plate can be brought up.
- the known slicers have a flat positioning plate, which can be adjusted relative to the circular knife by means of a cutting width adjustment mechanism.
- the width of the cut slice of the clippings results from the position of the positioning plate in relation to the circular knife.
- the cutting width adjustment mechanism includes a threaded portion that engages an associated threaded portion on the positioning plate.
- a disadvantage of the known slicers is that the setting plate has a relatively large amount of play compared to the cutting width adjustment mechanism. Due to the large play between the positioning plate and the cutting width adjustment mechanism, the contact surface of the positioning plate is positioned only imprecisely. If clippings are placed on the contact surface of the positioning plate and the clippings are moved along the contact surface against the circular knife, the position of the contact surface of the positioning plate can change. If there is a change in position during the cutting process, unevenly thick cut pieces result.
- the invention has for its object to provide a slicer that produces uniformly thick cuts.
- the uniformity of the cut pieces should in particular also be ensured in the case of simple cutters or all-purpose cutters which can be produced economically.
- a slicer having the features of claim 1.
- the positioning plate is adjusted by means of two interlocking threaded sections via a cutting width adjustment mechanism.
- the Cutting width adjustment mechanism can include a rotatable handle. By turning the handle, the positioning plate is moved in relation to the circular knife.
- the thread section on the cutting width adjustment mechanism is equipped with a large thread pitch so that a clear adjustment path can be achieved on the positioning plate with just a slight angular rotation of the handle.
- the large thread pitch requires that the interlocking thread sections of the cutting width adjustment mechanism and the adjusting plate have a relatively large clearance. This is the only way to adjust the positioning plate with little effort using the rotatable handle. In the case of such slicers, the disadvantage of mounting the positioning plate with great play is particularly disadvantageous.
- separate elastic spring elements can be provided within the housing of the slicer, which prestress the positioning plate against the cutting width adjustment mechanism. At least two spring elements are preferably provided, the first ends of which engage on the rear of the positioning plate and the second ends of which are supported against an inside of the housing. Due to the elastic spring elements, the positioning plate is tilted in relation to the cutting width adjustment mechanism. Due to the tilt, there is a play-free, preloaded positioning of the positioning plate.
- the positioning plate has a contact surface which, in the vicinity of its edge facing the circular knife, has at least one protrusion that protrudes from the rest of the contact surface.
- the positioning plate has a contact surface which, in the vicinity of its edge facing the circular knife, has at least one protrusion that protrudes from the rest of the contact surface.
- the clippings Before the clippings reach the outer circumference of the circular knife, they have to overcome the protruding elevation in the contact surface. If the clippings are moved against the protruding elevation, then a force becomes at the protruding elevation introduced into the positioning plate, which generates a torque which is introduced into the positioning plate and tilts or prestresses it with respect to the cutting width adjustment mechanism. The positioning plate is consciously moved into a tilted position before the clippings have reached the outer circumference of the circular knife. For a uniform cutting material width, it is not necessary to align the plane of the contact surface parallel to the plane of the circular knife.
- the edge of the contact surface of the positioning plate facing the circular knife does not change in its spatial position during the entire cutting process. If the contact surface of the positioning plate is already pretensioned at the beginning of the cutting process by means of the elevation according to the invention, the positioning plate can no longer be repositioned during the cutting process. This ensures that the position of the edge of the contact surface of the positioning plate facing the circular knife does not change during the cutting process.
- the protruding elevation can be formed by a multiplicity of elevations which are uniformly distributed over the entire length of the edge of the contact surface of the positioning plate facing the circular knife.
- the known leveling plates which have just been formed, predominantly have a surface structure which prevents the clippings from lying against the setting plate over a large area. The aim is to ensure that the clippings only lie on the positioning plate at a few surface sections, so that the clippings adhere only slightly to the contact surface of the positioning plate and can be easily moved against the circular knife. If a positioning plate with a surface structure is used in a slicer according to the invention, the elevations according to the invention can be designed accordingly.
- the protruding elevation can have a corresponding number of horizontally running grooves which are distributed along the edge of the contact surface facing the circular knife and rise up relative to the plane of the remaining contact surface. This has the advantage that the material to be cut can also be moved against the circular knife with little effort in the area of the protruding protrusions.
- the protruding elevation has a plateau section which adjoins the edge facing the circular knife and has a slope section which is arranged between the plateau section and the rest of the contact surface. The plateau section ensures to a particular degree that the positioning plate is completely pre-tensioned before the clippings reach the outer circumference of the circular knife.
- the plateau section can be designed such that it rises between 0.5 and 2 mm from the plane of the remaining contact surface.
- the edge of the contact surface of the positioning plate facing the circular knife will generally be designed in the form of an arc of a circle and, accordingly, the plateau section can extend along this circular-arc-shaped edge with a constant width. This ensures that clippings of very different cross-sections or different sizes can be processed by the slicer according to the invention and that the pretensioning function is achieved both with clippings with a very small diameter and with clippings with a very large diameter.
- the plateau section has a width between 10 and 20 mm.
- Figure 1 is a perspective view of an inventive
- FIG. 2 shows a cross section through part of the slicer according to the invention according to FIG. 1.
- a slicer has a housing 1 in which a circular knife 2 is rotatably mounted.
- the slicer has a positioning plate 3 which is opposite the circular knife 2 is adjustably mounted in the housing 1.
- the adjustment plate 3 is adjusted by means of a cutting width adjustment mechanism 5 (not visible in FIG. 1).
- the adjustment plate 3 has a contact surface 4 which has horizontally running grooves.
- the circular arc-shaped elevation 8 comprises a plateau section 9 adjoining the edge 6.
- a slope section 10 is formed between the plateau section 9 and another rest surface 7 of the contact surface 4.
- the slope section 10 forms the transition from the surface of the plateau section 9 to the level of the remaining contact surface 7.
- Both the plateau section 9 and the slope section 10 have horizontally extending grooves, in an analogous manner to the horizontally extending grooves of the remaining contact surface 7 of the positioning plate 3.
- the tensioning device instead of the protruding elevation 8, consisting of plateau section 9 and slope section 10, separate tensioning devices 12 can be provided, which prestress the positioning plate in the housing 1 without play.
- an elastic clamping means 12 can engage on an edge of the positioning plate 3 opposite the circular knife.
- One end of the elastic tensioning means 12 is preferably in contact with an inner surface of the positioning plate 3.
- the second ends of the elastic tensioning means 12 are supported on an inside of the housing 1.
- FIG. 2 shows the cross section through part of the slicer according to the invention according to FIG. 1.
- a cutting width adjustment mechanism 5 is rotatably mounted.
- the cutting width adjustment mechanism 5 has a threaded section 13 on its side facing the positioning plate 3.
- the threaded section 13 is in engagement with a further threaded section 14 which is integrally formed on the positioning plate 3.
- the positioning plate 3 has a contact surface 4.
- the contact surface 4 is arranged on that side of the housing 1 which also carries the circular knife 2.
- the contact surface 4 has a plateau section 9, which rises by the height S compared to the rest of the contact surface 7. Between the plateau section and the rest of the contact surface 7 there is the slope section 10, which is tilted at an angle V to the plane of the other angling surface 7.
- the threaded section 13 of the cutting width adjustment mechanism 5 and the threaded section 14 on the adjusting plate 3 have the largest possible diameter, the size of which is adapted to the contact surface 4 of the adjusting plate 3.
- the protruding elevation 8, which the Plateau section 9 and the slope section 10, is arranged in a region of the contact surface 4, which is arranged outside the outer diameter of the threaded sections 13 and 14.
