- the absolute accuracy of the pressure sensor can be low to keep the effort low. However, the sensor and the controller must react precisely to relative pressure changes to ensure comfort. This can be e.g. through automatic adjustment or adaptation to the forces actually exerted.
- entries from a stored list can be selected in significantly fewer steps than with the usual multiple triggering for switching letters (table, FIG. 5).

- the black dots show where increased or longer pressure leads to a new measured value leading to a new selection (in the listing the lines marked # 1 and # 2 are run through).
- the white dots indicate where a changed pressure is registered and the scroll bar is updated in the display, but without changing the selection (# 1 in the listing).
- the pressure that is marked in the diagram with the rightmost black dot is always effective.
