- the molding (core sand) sleeve is cooled by the metal spigot. By simply trying it out, it should be possible to make the thickness of the sand sleeve as small as possible. This improves the cooling - an increase in cooling can be achieved by supplying water - less gas is produced and the shrinkage becomes less resistance after the core hardening has been moved out of the mold wall in a conventional manner (rack, hydraulic cylinder or the like) opposite; the cast can shrink freely. In any case, the sand sleeve can evade by collapsing and being destroyed.
