Abstract
UN PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA EXTRACCIÒN DE COBRE A PARTIR DE UNA MENA O CONCENTRADO DE COBRE SULFÚRICO QUE COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES ETAPAS: SOMETER LA MENA A OXIDACIÓN CON PRESIÓN EN PRESENCIA DE OXIGENO Y UNA SOLUCION ÁCIDA CONTENIENDO IONES DE HALURO Y SULFATO; LIXIVIAR LA SAL BÁSICA DESULFATO DE COBRE PRODUCIDA MEDIANTE LA OXIDACION CON PRESION EN UNA LIXIVIACION CON UNA SOL. áC. DE SULFATO; SEPARAR EL LICOR DE LIXIVIACIóN DEL RESIDUO SÓLIDO; SOMETER EL LICOR DE LIXIVIACIÓN A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE EXTRACCIÓN CON DISOLVENTE; RECICLAR POR LO MENOS UNA PORCIÓN DEL REFINADO A LA OXIDACIÓN CON PRESIÓN. La suspensión es sometida a una etapa de separación liquido/sólido para obtener un filtrado resultante de oxidación con presión y un residuo sólido conteniendo una sal básica de sulfato metálico insoluble. La sal básica de sulfato metálico es lixiviada en una segunda etapa de lixiviación con una solución ácida de sulfato para disolver la sal básica metálica para producir un licor de lixiviación conteniendo un sulfato metálico, por ejemplo sulfato de cobre en la solución y un residuo sólido final. El licor de lixiviación es separado del residuo sólido y sometido a un procedimiento de extracción con disolvente para producir una solución metalica concentrada y un refinado con el metal agotado. Por lo menos una porción del refinado es reciclada a la oxidación con presión.
