Abstract

Un procedimiento para la extracción de metales a partir deuna mena o concentrado que contienen valores de níquel y/o cobalto y otros metales, el cual comprende las siguientes etapas: Someter la mena o concentrado a lixiviación ácida bajo presión, a un pH £ 2, para obtener un licor conteniendo calores de níquel y/o cobalto, además de metales que no son níquel ni cobalto, a partir de la resultante suspensión de oxidación con presión;Someter el licor a una primera etapa de precipitación a un pH de 5 a 6, para producir un sólido conteniendo los metales que no son níquel ni cobalto y una solución resultante conteniendo los valores de níquel y/o cobalto; Someter la solución resultante a una segunda etapa de precipitación a un pH de 7 a 8, para producir un solido conteniendo níquel y/o cobalto y un licor desprovisto de níquel y cobalto.
